Exploring Sin and Spirituality in Sinners

[Music] Guess what I just saw? I saw a movie called Sinners. [Music] I've been all over this world. I've seen men die in ways I ain't even know was possible. Hey, brother, be careful. I [Music] will. With all the things that I [Music] seen, I ain't ever seen no demons, no ghosts, no magic till now. and get back inside. Let me in, man. There's some weird [ __ ] going on out here. You keep dancing with the devil. You better one day. He's going to follow you [Music] home. Co-produced by Ryan Cougler. Directed by Ryan Cougler. Now, I gotta say this. I'm not going to give you everything. There's only a few spoilers, not a whole lot. I'm not telling you how to how it ends, nothing like that. But I will say the movie is good. There's a lot of nuggets in it. Uh the movie stars, of course, Michael B. Jordan. He plays two roles as a twin. Uh one called Stack, the other one called Smoke. Their real names are Elijah and Elias, which is the same name. Um, there's a girl called Mary. Mary's a white girl played by uh Haley Steinfeld. There is an Asian girl, a woman named Lee Jun Lee. She plays Grace. Um, her husband is called in the movie Bo. His name is called Bo. Um there's a bouncer in a movie called Cornbread played by um Omar Benson Miller. Uh he's the bouncer. There's a voodoo lady, voodoo witch I'll call her named Annie, played by WMI Mosako. Um, there's a married hole named Pearl named I mean call played by Jamie Lawson. Uh, there's a brother called Delta Slim played by Delroy uh, Lindo. And one of the main characters is called Sammy the Preacher Boy played by Miles Katan or Kaitton. Kaitton. Kaitton. Oh, how could I forget? One of the villains of the movie is Jack played by Jack O'Connell. He plays a guy called Ramik. Ramik Ramik Ramik Sinners uh produced in 2025. It's a horror film. It is a horror film. Um set in 1932 Delta, Mississippi. Uh film, like I said, the film stars Michael B. Jordan. uh he plays a dual role as a twin. And if I had to sum this movie up with just a few scriptures, it would be First John 3 and4. I need y'all to bear with me. Y'all come along with me. Roll with me. Roll with me. All right? Because I'm going to give you my biblical perspective on the film. So, it's called Sinners. So, in order to know what that is, you got to know what sin is. 1 John 3:4 reads, "Whosoever committh sin transgresseth also the law. For sin is the transgression of the law." And you know that verse should really shock a lot of you Christians because one side of your mouth you says you will say God's laws are done away with. Then the other side of your mouth you say that we're all sinners. How can you be a sinner if God's laws are done away? The math ain't math. It ain't making sense. This is why Christian apologists, we ignore you. You Christian apologetics. I'm going to start calling you that Christian apologetics. You urban ones. Especially you. You guys are dumber than the rock. God's laws are done away with. We're all sinners, which means to break God's laws. What? Gosh, what the hell is this? So, another scripture I'd go to to sum up this movie is um 1 Corinthians chapter 15. 1 Corinthians chapter 15. Bear with me. And verse 33. And it reads, "Be not deceived. Evil communication corrupt good manners." What does that mean? Evil communications corrupt good manners. Well, communication doesn't only deal with uh something you listen to like music, the things that go into your ears cuz that's how things are communicated to you through your ears. Communication also deals with the things that come out of your mouth, the things you speak, the things you entertain in conversation. Okay. So, in this horror film, they focus on blues music. They focus on the blues and they know that music, there's an expression that says, "Music can tame the savage beast." That comes from the Bible. I'm going to go to 1st Samuel 16:14. So, these are the three main scriptures that sum up this movie. 1st Samuel chapter 16 and verse 14. But the spirit of the Lord departed from salt. But King Saul, the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit left him. And an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him. And Saul's servant said unto him, "Behold, now an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. Let our Lord now command thy servants which are before thee, to seek out a man who is a cunning player on a harp." I'm gonna say that part again. Read that part again. to seek out a man who is a cunning player on a harp. And it shall come to pass when the evil spirit from God is upon thee that he shall play with his hand and thou shalt be well. And when you keep reading, King David before he became king, young little David was able to play on a harp, which is a string instrument beautifully and drive away the evil spirit from Saul. So what does that teach us? That music can control spirits. You ever notice when you go into a business like a corporate world and you get on the elevator, what kind of music is playing? Is it rock and roll? Is it drill music? Is it rap? Or is it something called elevator music? You know that real peaceful music? That's what they play. Why? So that you will calm your spirit when you enter the building. You understand that? So the scholars, the rulers of this world understand that music controls the minds of people. Music controls the spirits that circulate around every man, every woman. Music controls it. Okay? I hope y'all understand what I'm saying. I hope I'm not confusing you. Now, blues is a music genre, uh, a musical form that originated amongst black people in the deep south in the United States around 1860 or so. Blues was incorporated. It incorporated spirituals, work songs, slave songs, field uh music, uh shouts, chants, rhymes, simple narrative, uh ballads from the Africanamean culture. Now, remember I told you that um Michael B. Jordan played two characters, which was a twin. Uh one twin was called Smoke. Smoke sees himself like a father figure, a man who's unredeemable because of his past sins, but he also sees himself as a soldier. He's a killer. I hope y'all understand that. Um, now the other twin is called Stack. He comes up with schemes. He's like the um the smart the clever one of the twins, okay? He's able to talk to people. Whereas Smoke, he's just like the Braraw. He's like the muscle of the twins. Okay. So, in 1932, these identical twins in World War I, you had veterans uh Smoke, whose name was Elijah, and you had Stack, whose name was Elias. It's the same name. Uh they returned to the Mississippi Delta after years in Chicago working for Al Capone. while they worked for Al Capone, the they stole money, they stole from gangsters, they stole alcohol, they stole beer, cuz you're going to see that in the film. And they come back to Mississippi and people are asking them what happened, how'd it go? They never really got into it too much, but you do know that they came back with a lot of money, enough money to buy a juke joint. um to say to get enough money to buy a juke joint and to hire people to work in the juke joint. So now the juke joint is a property that they buy from a racist KKK owner and that called Hogwood. His name is Hogwood. Um and they told Hogwood that once they buy it, don't step foot on their property ever again cuz they paid it off. They paid off. They gave him a whole bag of money that they never tell you where they got this money from. But anyway, Hogwood takes the money and he leaves. You understand? He leaves. Everybody got that? So now, in order to understand sinners, which is the name of the movie, you got to understand the sins of the characters. You heard what I said? In order to understand sinners, because that's the name of the film, you got to understand the sins of the characters. Now, they don't get into too much about smoke and stack, but you know they criminals. So, regarding their sins, since they all you know is that they have killed, they have robbed, they have used violence, you know that. So, I'm going to read a broad scripture that covers a litany of sins regarding the twins. First Timothy chapter 1 verse 9. Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners. That's right. Sinners. What's the name of this film? Sinners. for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for man's slayers, for whorers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men stealers, for liars, for purged persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. Now, I wanted to read that in particularly to let you know that God's laws are according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God. That's what verse 11 says. Let's read it again because I know some of you are slow. According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. So, what are God's laws? According to the gospel. What are God's laws? According to the gospel. Everybody got that, right? All right. So now before I touch on the other s the sins of the character, I do want to say when a when the movie opens up, it opens up with a young man who is called, you'll find out later on. His name is called Sammy the preacher boy. He comes to his a church. There's old black man preaching. They singing some song that I hate. It's called This Little Light of Mine. This little light of mine. I'm gone. I used to hear the dance song all the time growing up. The hell is this? I remember one of the sisters in um IUIC when we first started used to sing that dag gone song. I couldn't stand it. Couldn't stand it. Anyway, let me get back to to the film. Let me get back to the film. It opens up. Young man opens the the the church up. He got a guitar piece in his hand, a the guitar neck, a piece of the neck, and a guitar head. His clothes are ripped, sh uh torn, and bloody and muddy. You don't know what happened. He got four big scars on his face. You don't know what happened. The preacher says, "Come on in here, boy." And he hugs him real bad. He hugs his He hugs him. And you never know what happened. Then the scene switches to the day before that. Oh, the man tells him to let the music go. Let the blues go. I forgot that part. He said, "Let it go. Drop it. Drop it. Let it go." He does. The boy's holding on to it, the the guitar neck. And then it switches to the day before. I want y'all to pay attention. It switches to the day before. So, we find out that Sammy is the name of the young man. They call him Preacher Boy. He's a cousin of um Smoke and Stack. Sammy is a an aspiring guitar player. He has a guitar around his neck. Okay, everybody, you got me right. No, no, he doesn't have the guitar yet. They give it to him. They give it to him. I forgot. to give him the guitar um to get him to play. They ask him to play at the juke joint and he's hesitant at first, but they tell him, well, one of the twins says that that guitar that they give him was the guitar of a very famous guitar player. Okay. So, he's looking at he's looking at the guitar and he's happy. He's excited. He feels like this might be his chance. Uh so he agrees his whole what is his sins? His sin is covetousness. If I had to put a name on it, his sin is covetousness. And I'll go to Exodus chapter 20 in verse 17 where it reads, "Thou shall not coveret thy neighbor's house. Thou shall not coveret thy neighbor's wife, nor his man's servant, nor his maid servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbors." Now, you may ask yourself, what does that got to do with him being a guitar player? He coveted fame. He coveted fortune. That's what he wanted. Okay? That's what this young man wanted. You not You might ask, "What's wrong with that?" Well, when you go to First Timothy, watch this. I'm going show you. Like, like I said, I'm identifying the sins of the people in the film. 1 Timothy chapter 6 and verse 9. But they that will be rich, he wanted to be rich, fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and hurtful lust which drown men in destruction and predition. For the love of money is the root of all evil. Watch this. which while some coveted after they have heard from the faith and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Now you're going to find that out with Sammy as we go on in the understanding of this film called sinners. Now, the next thing, the next sinner in this film is a woman named the married hoe. I call her the married hoe called Pearl. Put her face up. Make sure you put all their faces up. What was her sin? Lust and adultery. I'm going to say it again. What was her sin? Lust and adultery. The two go hand in hand. Watch this. Deuteronomy chapter 22. Some of you might not know what adultery is. Pay attention. Pay attention. Deuteronomy 22:22. And it reads, "If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, now when she meets Sammy, she tells him, I'm a married woman. I'm a married woman." But that don't stop her. None. So let's read that again. If a man be found lying with a woman, married to a husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman and the woman, so shalt thou put away evil from Israel. Now, if you've been following IIC, you know that we are the Israelites. Our people are the Israelites. So, the film is about our people, the Israelites. Y'all understand? You understand? So, the next woman in the film, she was smokes uh a strange wife. They had a baby daughter that had died. Okay. She owns a witchcraft store and she's she uh what's what's his name? I just said his name. Um the twin. Yeah. The twin comes in. Smoke. Smoke comes in. Smoke. That's his name. comes in and he looks around the store and you can see all the witchcraft stuff and she takes his he has a bag on. She's energizing it and he asked her, "How come this couldn't work to save our baby?" She said, "I don't know." A little girl's in the store and she buys some witchcraft stuff with Monopoly money. Now, I don't know if Monopoly was made, but you know, it's fake money because Smoke says that's fake money. She says, "I don't care. This is the kind of money I I like." Now, Smoke offers her real money. She didn't want that. She's that blood money. You ever notice how one person in the midst of sin can accuse the other person in the midst of sin like your sin's better than their sin? Understand that she works in a witchcraft voodoo store and she's selling witchcraft items to a little black girl for fake money. Now, I thought that was interesting because a lot of voodoo, now I won't say all of it, but I a lot of it, a lot of witchcraft is fake. I got to tell you, you want to hear a story? I got a story. Here it go. We in Haiti going on a mission. We come out the hotel. There's a box. The box size is about 3x3. I didn't As we're passing by, the box opens up. What rolls out the box? A man. The man's about 5 foot2, but he was able to fit into that 3x3 box. Or was it 4x4? I don't know. It was a little box, but he could fit in it. He comes up, he's all dirty, and he says, "Hey, young man." No, he didn't say young man. I was old, too. He said, "Man, I can make you rich." I said, "How you going to make me rich?" He said, "I can give you the magical numbers for the lottery, my man." I said, "But I'm looking at him. You could tell a dude is homeless. How come broke, poor people always got the witchcraft to make you and me rich? Y'all don't see nothing wrong with that. They always got the magic number. Always got the dag on magic number. Stop falling for it, y'all. Haiti is busted. A lot of Haiti is disgusted. But a lot of them mess with that voodoo stuff, witchcraft stuff. Now, y my people, I love you, okay? It's not just Haiti. You got it down south. You had a famous guy called Dr. Buzz. Um, in uh Jamaica, what do they call that stuff again? Obia. Obia. And Santa Domingo. What they got? Bruharia. Puerto Rico. Bruharia. Same stuff. Okay. Now, Deuteronomy 18 and 10. What was Annie's sin? Listen good. This is her sin. Deuteronomy 18 verse 10. There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or daughter to pass through the fire. That's about abortion. Or that uses divination. This is witchcraft now. That uses divination. Or an observer of times. That's horoscopes. Or an enchanter. Or a witch or a charmer. Always after me. Lucky charms. You ever see people they got their lucky charm. That's what a charmer is. or a consulter with familiar spirits. They can conjure spirits that's familiar to you, like in the movie Ghost that starred Whoopy Goldberg. Okay. Uh or a necromancer. Oh, I'm sorry. Let me read verse 11 again. Or a charmer. Or a consulter with familiar spirits. Or a wizard. That's a male witch. Or a necromancer. That's somebody that talks to the dead. You understand it? So that's Annie's sin. Remember the movie's called Sinners. You got to be able to identify the sins of the people. Okay. The next character is called Delta Slim. Pel played by Delroy Lind Lind Lindo. Okay. He plays the harmonica and he can play the piano real good. But what's his sin? He's a drunk. He's a drunk. Watch this. Proverbs 20. Now, wine and alcohol, there's no sin against it unless you get drunk. Watch this. Proverbs 20 and verse one reads, "Wine is a mocker. Strong drink is raging, and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." So, Delta Slim, his issue was alcohol, and that's what um Stack offered him to work in his juke joint. A whole lot of Irish beer that he stole from Chicago, from gangsters. Okay. So, let's go to Ephesians 5:18 in the New Testament to show you that also. Ephesians, y'all bear with me. Chapter 5 verse 18 and it reads it says and be not drunk with wine wherein is excess but be filled with the spirit. So the part I want you to understand it says be not drunk with wine wherein is excess. See the term excess. Delta Slim liked excess of alcohol, excess of wine. That's when you get drunk. That was his sin. Next is a white girl called Mary. That was Shaq's uh not Shaq. What's his name? What's her name? Uh Stack. That's his name. I'm getting her name. That was Stack's secret exgirlfriend. What was her sin? Misogynation. What? Misogynation. interracial dating and she was married. The brother, the twin stack said, "Didn't I get you a a good white husband that was rich?" She said, "I never wanted him. I wanted you." She said, "You know, my grandfather on my mama's side was black." She said, "I can't help it if I came out looking white." Well, let me tell y'all something. You are what your father is on your father's side. I got to read that to you. Some of y'all got your panties in a bunch. Numbers chapter 1 verse 18. And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month. And and they declared their pedigrees after their families by the house of their fathers. See that? By the house of their fathers. So you are what your father is. So her father on her father's side was a white man. So what is she? That's the white woman. That's the white woman. What's her next sin? I said it already. You did you hear it? Misogynation, interracial dating. I'm going show you. Nehemiah chapter 13. Watch. Now there's a lot of scriptures that cover on that. And y'all be getting mad. Especially you you get mad when white folks pull it, but it's in the Bible. It's in there. You get you say you think you're getting mad with the white man when they pull it out and say they don't want to marry a black behind. But I'm telling you, it's in the Bible. And God commands us not to marry them. I hope y'all understand that. Let me get it. Bear with me. Here we go. Here we go. Nehemiah chapter 13 and we're going to start at verse 23. Listen good. In those days also saw Jews that married wives of Ashdod of Ammon. That's Japanese and of Moab. That's Chinese. And their children spoke. No. So Ashdod, let me go back. Ashdad was initially those were um nopes. Then it says of Ammon, that's Japanese. And then it says of Moab, that's Chinese. And their children spoke half in the speech of Ashtad, and could not speak in the Jews language, but according to the language of each people. And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smoke certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your sons unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves. Did not Solomon, king of Israel, sin? See that word, sin by these things? Yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God. And God made him king of all Israel. Nevertheless, even him did outlandish women cause to sin. Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God, in marrying strange wives? You see that right there? He married strange wives. Now, there's more of the women that's not mentioned there. You got to go to First Kings. Let me look at it. Yep. First Kings 11:1. But King Solomon loved many strange women together with the daughter of Pharaoh. That's a Nylo. Women of the Moabites, Chinese, Ammonites, Japanese. [ __ ] that's white women. Zidonians, that's Hamites, and Hittites, Hammites. So, what I wanted y'all to see that it is a sin to dealing interracial relationships. When you read the Bible, God only allowed a few cases you can number on one hand. He allowed them to do that. That was Moses, you had Esther, and you had Boaz. Those are the three I know off the top of my head. But there's more. I'm pretty sure on one hand, you can two more. I'm pretty sure that was it. But God told the rest of us, "Don't do it." In the film, you see that with uh Stack and Mary uh the white woman. Then you had the Chinese woman uh her name, what did I say was Grace. Her husband was named Bo. They had two stores. One on the right side of the street and another on the left. You can't make this stuff up. Why? Because white folks would not allow Chinese to sell in their area. So what's better to do? go into the black community and reap the resources and benefits from them. Where do you read about that verse? Let's go to Isaiah 16 verse 6. Now y'all just bear with me. Just bear with me. Bear with me. Bear with me. Isaiah 16 and verse 6. It reads, "We have we have heard of the pride of Moab." Who's Moab? The Chinese. He is very proud even of his hoiness and his pride and his wrath, but his lies shall not be so. So Moab in the Bible is the Chinese. Grace and Bo are Chinese in the film. They are Moab. What else do they do? What is their sin? Watch Deuteronomy 28. Watch what it says. They're the strangers in this verse. Deuteronomy 28 and verse 43. And it reads, "The stranger that is within thee, the strangers of the other nations in this context, shall get up above thee very high, that's uh grace and b. And thou shalt come down very low, that's the Israelites, the blacks came down very low. He shall lend to thee." Grace and Bo, the Chinese couple was lending to black people, selling to black people. And thou shalt not lend to him. He shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. So these strange nations come amongst us, reap the benefits, reap the resources, they take from us and go build up their communities where they live. So uh the next guy in the character in the film, I'm sorry, is called Cornbread. Cornbread. He's the bouncer that Stack paid. Uh he was just about money. Okay. So now I'm that's I'm going just end it right there regarding those characters. You see everybody's sin, right? So imagine this. You got all those sins and now you got blues music that con that's able to conjure spirits. All those sins and all those people what what's the word? They come out. They rise up and they summon other spirits. You ever noticed this? Think about house parties. When that music is being played, rap music, house music being played, you have drill music, rap, everybody's dancing, it's hot, it's sweaty, drinks are free for the women, it brings out a spirit of adultery. And what happens? What comes behind that sometimes? Put it in the comment board. Right behind adultery, something else. Put it in there. Right. Violence. Violence. Assault. battery, murder, and you go in those parties and be like, "Why? We was just having a good time." The music that you're listening to, it's not God music. It's satanic music that's able to conjure spirits. If I got a spirit of anger and hatred in me and adultery, I see this woman I like, I'm going over there to get some butt, right? But guess what else is in me? That spirit of hatred, malice, violence is there. That music is pulling it out. Pulling it out. Somebody may just bump my shoulder. Just a little thing. That spirit comes out and what I do? P. Y'all understand? That's why I took y'all to the book of Samuel where King Saul, he had that evil spirit. David had to play the harp to calm that spirit down. Y'all understand how music works? It summons spirits. I can't stress it enough. Whatever sins are in you, the music you listen to, whatever secular they call it, worldly music you listen to will draw it out. I hope y'all understand that. I I hope you understand. Okay. So, now let's move on. I'm going to jump in the film. Let me see this white boy running. White boy running. He running. And he's smoking. He got on a wife be a t-shirt and his skin that you can see is smoking. He runs to a house. Help me. Help me. They trying to kill me. They trying to kill me. They trying to kill me. The white couple answer the door. They let him in. They say and you I soon I saw it. I said, "Yeah, white folks help white folks." I That's the first thing I said. Minutes later, you see some cho Indians coming. They're hunting for this white boy and they're saying, "Hey, you see a white guy come through here." They describe them and the white couple's like, "No, they white couple got shotguns, rifles at the Indians." Like I said, white folks stick by white folks. What did the Chakau Indians do? They send up a prayer in their language for protection on those two white folks. And I'm thinking to myself, the Chakau Indians are the tribe of Gad. We are always praying for those that hate, despise, ridicule, want to murder us. We don't do those prayers for our own people. We always do it for white folks, though. Always do it for white folks. You can't make this stuff up. It's crazy how our people are. no matter where you go. All right. So, in the film, the the dude that's on smoke or smoking Joe, his name is Remick. We find out he's an Irish vampire. That's right. An Irish vampire. The woman, the wife walks in, her husband's on the ground. You see a puddle of blood. You see the white guy that was on smoke smoking ramik. I'mma call him smoking ramik. You see blood all around his mouth. Then you see her husband get up. He had a chunk out of his neck. He got them teeth. And then the scene ends. It switches. Y'all understand that? Now, I'm just going I'm not going to spoil the end of the film. So, you can watch that. I'm not going to tell you the end of the film. I ain't going to spoil it for you. I'm just going to build up to certain parts. I'm trying to getting somewhere. I just need y'all to bear with me. Bear with me. All right. So, I'm just going to get to the nitty-gritty. Uh while Smoke is getting his Smoke got the they got the Okay, they got the juke joint. Then they got to get the supplies for the juke joint. So that's what Smoke is doing. Stack is going around getting the the workers. Okay, one of the twins is getting the workers. He gets Sammy, the guitar player, and he can sing. He got a nice voice, too. Um he gets the bouncer. That's cornbread, the real big dude. They're about 6'7, real big, about three, 400 pounds. He's the bouncer. He gets the Chinese couple, Grace and Bo, to make food and make a sign for them. He gets Annie to come come down. Smokes Annie to come down. Mary just comes down. She just, you know, Boards her way in. Anyway, um Sammy's music, Preacher Boy's music is so it's so earcatching. Uh I want to use the word uh magical, but that might be too strong a word, but it's able to summon spirits. Like I said, blues music uh is based on the blues that black people have gone through, the bad times, and he's able to sing and it resonates with our soul and it pulls spirits out. I word it like that. And him singing, doing the music, it's able to summon spirits of both past and future. You understand what I'm saying? Um, in the film you see the evolution of music and I won't I shouldn't use the word evolution. I'll use the word devolution because it shows you from Africa how we use the drums and you'll see how it evolves from blues, jazz, R&B, rock and roll, rap, drill. You see it all. You see the times. You see people in the in the dance crowd wear different clothing for the signs of the times. You see it you see it devolve the music how it devolves. Now I'm going use that term devolve. It ain't evolve. It's devolve. But that's exactly what it what it is. They also show you chi a Chinese guy dancing around. But Chinese music ain't like our music. I'm going to say it again. Chinese music ain't like our music. I hope you understand what I'm saying. I hope it didn't go over your head. The music summons demons and guess who shows up at the joke joint smoking Remick and the husband and wife that he had already bitten show up. They got a band, they got banjos and they singing Irish music. You understand what I'm saying? They singing Irish music. Um the they offer they say they it's odd when white folks want to be in the black space. It's odd when black I mean when white folks want to be in a black space. So the twins come through the door to the door and they say what y'all want? What y'all want? They said we just want nothing but love and unity. They playing their little Irish songs. We want nothing but love, unity. And what do they say? Um they offer kindness, they offer joy. They also offer money in music for entry. They talk about love. Like I said, unity of all of us to just get along. Can we all just get along? You know, Rodney King, can't we all just get along? And they remind me, listen to what I'm about to say, they remind me of Democrats because in order to get into the juke joint, cuz the twins ain't letting them in. They talk about we all one people. They talk about love and unity. They saying all the right things to get in and with a smile on their face. No hostility at all. No hostility at all. So, I'm going to go to Isaiah 32 and5. I'm going to show you something what the what the Bible says about um liberals or as y'all call them, Democrats. These liberal Democrats. Republicans got it too. They got they call them conservatives. Watch Isaiah 32:5. The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the chur, which means rude, which is the vile person, a liberal, said to be bountiful cuz they make a lot of money. For the vile person, which is the liberal, will speak villain, and his heart will work iniquity, which means sin, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the Lord to make empty the soul of the hungry. Black people, we're the soul. We're the soul of the hungry. What are we hungry for? Truth and justice. We hungry. We want that thing, but we never get it with liberal democrats. And he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. Where the thirsty? What are we thirsting for? Truth and justice. But do we ever get it with liberals? No. It says the instruments also of the chur are evil. So what Democrats use, what liberals use are evil instruments like um welfare system, abortion system, the school system. They say, "Oh, this is to benefit black people." But it's always a catch 22 where we always get the short end of the stick and it always ends up hurting us. Okay? He devises wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words. Listen good to the what I'm saying. What it's saying, what the Bible is saying, uh, he devises wicked devices to destroy the poor where we're the spiritually poor with lying words even when the needy speak right. But the liberal devisor liberal things and by liberal things shall he stand. I hope y'all understand that. Now, you got to be careful with li now Malcolm X says something. He said, "Democrats, liberal Democrats are like foxes." You ever see a fox, the way their mouth is shaped, it looks like a smile. He said something to the effect. Now, if we if we could find the clip with Malcolm, we'll show it because he explains better than me. He said, "There's a difference between the the fox and the wolf. You know, off the bat, the wolf hates you. The wolf wants to eat you just by his whole the way he looks, you know, he looks evil. He look he looks always like he want to eat you. But a fox, the way his mouth is shaped, it's like a smile. So you're kind of confused. But his agenda is the same agenda as the wolf to eat you. One has a rough raw countenance growling and you know what he's all about. The other has that mouth shaped like a smile, like it's happy, but his goal, his agenda is the same as the wolf. You understand? Y'all understand? So that's what I'm showing you in the film. These vampires, they're like the liberals. They say all the right things with a smile, and they want you to invite them in. Now, you ain't going to hear no breakdown like this from nobody else. I'm telling you, you ain't going to hear. I'm giving y'all the God's honest truth. The whole truth and nothing but the truth. So, help me. Now, let me show you something about about people that come about love, unity, and peace. Love, unity, and peace. We are all one people. That's what the vampires were saying. Offering integration. I'm going to say it again. Offering integration. We are all one. We are all one. Watch what the Bible says. Daniel chapter 8 and verse what verse? Let me look. Let me look. Let me look. Right here. 25. And through his policy, the his is the white man. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand. And he shall magnify himself in his heart. Here it comes. And by peace shall destroy many. And by peace shall destroy many. That's that fox who smiles all the time. By peace shall destroy many. He shall also stand up against the prince of princes. That's Christ. He going to stand up against Christ. But he shall be broken without hand. If I could get one more. If I could get one more. Now, if I could find this popped in my mind. If I could just find it. Verse 1 first 30. And spake peaceable words unto them, but all was deceit. I'm going to read that again. And spake peaceable words unto them, but all was deceit. For when they had given him credence, they said, "Come on in." He fell suddenly upon the city and smote it very sore and destroyed much people of Israel. You see how the Greeks did us? They came speaking right, offering us integration, assimilation. We love that thing. Oh, was deceit. They slaughtered hundreds if not thousands of us. Same thing's happening today cuz that's what the film's about. That's what the film is about. When you look at films, you got to see it with God's eye. See it with God's eye. That's all I could tell you. Now, the the director, the writers may have another agenda, but I'm telling you in the spirit of the Lord what the movie is about. I hope y'all understand what I'm saying. So, listen good. So the twins don't let these vampires in. Now they didn't know they were vampires at the time. Listen good. They didn't know they was v. They just said what? They saw his wife. They didn't let these white folks in. Okay? They didn't let him in. They didn't trust white folks. See at this time in Mississippi, we had one common enemy. And we knew the white man was our enemy. But today, you guys, you black men, black women, y'all lost. You're lost in the sauce. You let these democratic, these liberals just smiling you at you, offer you welfare, food stamps, public assistance, jobs, and you good. We all one people. It says that in First Mcabes 141, by the way. Moreover, King Antiochus wrote to his whole kingdom that all should be one people. You hear what I said? That all should be one people. All right. Now when the three white folks leave because they ain't getting into the juke joint could you hear that music you everybody stomping dancing sweating their spirits that they des the sins within them is coming up coming out the three white boys the three white folks I'm sorry is smoking reik and the husband and wife with the banjo they got the banjo they doing their little Irish songs they walk away and they say okay we going to walk away slow now in case y'all change your mind I'm going to walk real slow Now, in case y'all change your mind and y'all just come by and come and get call us back. We'll be right back here. That's what happens. So, now Mary the white girl tells Stack she can get them to tell them what they want and what they really want at the juke joint because they're suspicious. Mary the white girl is so sure she can get them to open up because she is wide. What? She's wide. H. So what happens? She meets with Remik and Reik begins to tell her all about herself. He looks into her soul. You know they they do say eyes are the windows to the soul. He tells her about all the hate and pain, the hurt she got within her because she really wanted Stack, but Stack dropped her. He knew at that time that was that's a death sentence to be with a white girl. And he tells her that he said, "I know what you want. You want us all to be one people. Like you want to be with Stack." And she's like, she's looking at him strange. And she lowers her guard. He says, "All I want to do is give y'all some money and in good time." He gives her some He shows her three gold coins. She didn't know what they were. She looking at the gold and he's telling her about herself, the hurt, the pain that she feels and he just comes into her and then the scene switches. The scene switch back to the droop joint, back to the dancing, back to the sweaty men and women. The music's playing, the music bumping. Pearl, the Pearl, the hoe, the married hoe. She's singing. She's on the floor. She's walking on the ground on all fours. her butt in the air sweating. You can't make this stuff up. Anyway, Mary, the white girl, comes back inside. Okay, where she seduces Stack. You see her inside. She's seducing Stack, her former lover. They in the room. They're getting it in. And what does she do? She bites him. She bites him. Smoke shoots. Smoke comes in, sees a the other twin. Smoke comes in. Bam. Shoots her. Okay. Shoots her dead. But guess what? She ain't hurt. She gets up and she runs out. Bow. She shoots out. The bounce of cornbread goes outside to pee and you see Remick approach him. Scene switches with him. Okay, now I'm just jumping certain key parts. Now, everybody sees they know that somebody's dead. Okay, somebody's dead. Um, uh, Cornbread's outside peeing. Yeah, Cornbread's outside peeing and Remick, he gets he comes and gets him. All you see the next scene they tell everybody they got to leave cuz there's a dead body. Whose dead body is that? Stack is dead. They close the door. They lock it. You understand what I'm saying? They close the door. They lock it. They tell the party's over. Everybody going home. People are leaving. Bo goes to get the car. Bo, the Chinese man goes to get the car. Remick, not Remick. Um, like I said, Cornbread goes out to pee. Remick comes to see him, talks to him. Okay, everybody, you with me, right? So, Cornbread now comes to the door and he asks to be let in. And Annie, remember witchcraft? Annie with the big boobies. I'm sorry. I'm just messing with y'all. She says, "What you asking for? You was just in here?" She's getting suspicious. She said, "Why don't you just walk in with your big self?" Remember, he's about 6'7", almost 400 lb. And he says to Annie and to smoke and arrest those that at the door, the Chinese girls there, Grace, she's there, too. That wouldn't be polite for me to just bust on in and knock y'all down. Why don't you just invite me in? Cuz y'all know as a vampire, they can't just walk in. They got to be invited in. Who's like that? The police. They can't just walk in. They got to be invited in. Unless they got a warrant, a written warrant. You understand what I'm saying? So, there's some connections. I want y'all to think there's some connections in the film. Okay. Uh, so Cornbread says he just wants to be nice. He just wants to be neighborly. Annie suspicious. Cornbread didn't ask. He said, "Well, listen. The least y'all can do is pay me my money." Now, he don't stretch his hand out like this. He stretches his hand like this. And Smoke gets the money and he's looking and he says, "Be careful. Something ain't right." As Smoke is extending his hand to uh cornbread, whose hand is right here next to his side. So, the money got to come from over there to over here. He's like this. He grabs Smoke and pulls him out. And just as he he's about to bite. You see his teeth come out. He's about to bite. And Smoke takes the gun and boom, shoots Conbred in the face. Cornbread's on the ground. Smoke gets up, runs back inside, and um Cornbread then gets up and they close the door. They're like, "You just shot that man in the face and he's still up." They know something's wrong. Again, they don't know these that he's a vampire. They don't know that. Annie the witch calls him a what's the word? Haint. A hint. H A I N T. Haint. Let's look it up. In southern US folklore, hint refers to a type of ghost or evil spirit, often associated with the Gulagichi culture. It's a colloquial way of saying haunt. So hate and haunt are the same word and traditionally believed to be a malevolent spirit. malevol malevolent spirit that could cause harm or misfortune. The belief is that hints are the souls of the dead who haven't finished their business or have been wronged in life. So they believe that um combred is in another word the walking dead. They believe he's the walking dead. Now guess what? This might shock some of you. The Bible calls black people, the Israelites, the walking dead. Can I prove it? I know you're looking at me like I'm strange. Isaiah 59 and verse, let me just get to the point. Verse 10. We grope for the wall like the blind. And we grope as if we had no eyes. Now, we got eyes. You and me, we got eyes. But what's wrong with our eyes? We are spiritually blind. Our spiritual eyes are blind. So let's read that again. We grope for the wall like the blind. And we grope as if we had no eyes. We stumble at noonday as in the night. We are in desolate places as dead men. See what it's calling us. Wherever we are in this world, we're like dead men. Don't be shocked. Don't be confused. That's the same thing Revelation, the New Testament says in Revelation 11 and8. Watch this. Let me get it. Let me read it. And it says, "And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city which is Babylon the Great, which spiritually," the key out of the verse is spiritually called Sodom. Homosexuality runs rampant here and Egypt, captivity, false gods, where also our Lord was crucified. Now Christ was crucified just out Christ was crucified in Calvary just outside Jerusalem. Now we know he wasn't crucified here. So spiritually he was crucified here. How? His image and his teachings were crucified. I'm going to say it again. His image as a black man was crucified and his teachings to keep the commandments was crucified. So notice the Bible calls us dead. The walking dead. Now watch this. Proverbs to sum both verses up so you get a better understanding. Proverbs 21 and verse 16. And it reads, "The man that wanders out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead." Y'all heard that? Let me read it again. The man that wanderth out of the way of understanding, understanding what? God's laws, God's testimonies, the Bible, shall remain in the congregation of the dead, our people, religious, Christian, Muslim, or the walking dead. You don't understand God's laws. You don't understand God's testimonies. You don't understand the Bible at all. Hope you understand that. So the next scene you hear this, hey, open this door. Hey, open this door. And you see a knife go through the door. A short knife, maybe about 5 in, 6 in, something like that. And you see a little hole. They look through it and they see that it's stacked. The twin stack. And they know he was just killed. The woman, remember, she ripped his neck out. He was dead. And Annie says, "That ain't your brother. Don't open that door. That ain't your brother." So, they know something's going on. Something ain't right. Something supernatural is happening. Okay. Um, so like I said, stacks a vampire Annie repels him with pickled garlic cuz of course the brother does open it. She throws pickled garlic juice on them. It burns him. He runs out. Okay. She educates the rest of them that's in the juke joint. The ones that's still in a juke joint is Grace the Chinese lady, Delta Slim, uh Sammy the singer, uh the married hoe, Pearl, she's still in there. And I did I say Grace the Chinese lady? Yeah, she's still in there, too. So, uh Reik now approaches. He begins to try to negotiate praising. He comes to the door of the juke joint. Doors open. He begins praising Sammy's supernatural talent that he got a gift claiming that van that uh van what he offers is immortality. He's offering he if you come out I'll leave all the rest of them alone. I just want you. He be he sells Samuel. He can he can what's the word? Let me get the word right. He can summon the spirits of his vampire community. He tells Sammy, the rest of them, that they can escape um racism in exchange for Sammy. He said, "All I offer y'all is love and unity. We can all be one people." I want y'all to listen to the wording. Listen to the wording. It's the same words that's used in the United States of America. It's the same wording of the Democrats, the Republicans. It's the same wording in the Christian church. Same guys. Listen to this. Remember vampire when he bites you, he gets your memories. Okay? Remember when he bit the husband and wife? They was working with the guy Hogwood that sold the juke joint. You remember that? Okay, I hope you understand that. And Remick reveals, he warns them that Hogwood was a clansman who sold the twins a juke joint and was secretly head of the local clan and plan to attack at sunrise. It was a trap. But again, I want y'all to sim peep the similarities between the vampires and the clan. They got the same agenda, but they got different tactics. The vampires, they will sing, they will dance, they will offer you immortality. They will offer you freedom. They will offer you unity to join and assimilate. Integration. Assimilate is integration. Clan ain't like that. They about segregation. But both groups is about what? Death. Death. death to our people. I hope y'all understand that their approach is killing us. Both of them got the same approach. Vampires trick you in integration. They love you. Just want us all to be one. People KKK allows you to buy property, but it's a trap cuz they coming to kill you straight up. That property the twins bought was a killbox. They called it. That's right. called it a killbox. Interesting note, like I said earlier, vampires can't enter your place unless invited, just like the popo. Now, the people that still in the juke joint, Remick and Bo are the come to the door. Again, I'm reiterating. Come to the door. And Grace, the Chinese lady, the husband of Bo, threatens to attack the Chinese ladies, the Chinese lady's daughter. And guess what? They're trying to tell a Chinese lady, "Don't go out there. Don't go out there. It's a trap. It's a trap." Hope you listen good what I'm saying. Listen good what I'm saying. What does a Chinese lady do? She said, "Oh, y'all come on in." She didn't give a damn about them black folks that was trying to protect her. She only cared about herself, her husband Bo, and her daughter, the Chinese chick, Chinese little girl. Okay? So, she didn't give a damn. She was so conf I'm going tell you what Grace thought. This my opinion. I believe that Grace was confident that when the vampires came in, those same dumb black folks would protect her. That's right. Would protect her. Okay. And she could escape. You can't make this stuff up. Wow. Now, I got to mention this. Sammy, the preacher boy with the guitar. Um, he tries to escape, but he runs into a lake or something like that. There's a big thing of water and Remick smoking. Remick runs behind him and he slashes Sammy in the face. You see them four scars. Listen to what I'm about to say. Okay? And it's a very haunting. It's a very emotional scene. Guess what Sammy begins to do? He begins to recite scripture. He begins to recite the Lord's prayer in Matthew 6 and10. You understand that? And guess what happens to the vampire? Nothing. Nothing happens to him. The vampire, as a matter of fact, begins to recite the Lord's Prayer, too. Matthew 6:10 down and tells him how he always loved that prayer. And guess what he does with Sammy's head? He puts Sammy under the water three times. She baptizes Sammy. I thought that scene was very telling, very funny, very amusing. Just like the modern Christian church being baptized by vampires, by these Democrats, by these liberals, whether they black or white because in the now the vampires crew is so big now cuz the people that left the juke joint and go, they all got bit. Black, white, Chinese, they was all one family. All of them was vampires. Now, hope you got it. Hope you understand. Okay, now I'm going to show y'all something. I'm going to show you something. I'm going show you something. Um, Matthew 4 and 5. You going I know what you Christian saying that they can't quote scripture. Shut up. You don't know what you're talking about. Matthew 4 and5. Then the devil takes taketh him up takes Christ up into the holy city and setth him on a pinnacle of the temple and saith unto him, "If thou be the son of God, cast thyself down. For it is written, what is the devil doing?" quoting scripture. He shall give his angels charge concerning thee, and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Jesus said unto him, it is written again, thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy thy God. So what did Satan quote to Christ? Psalms 91, Psalms 91, verse 11 and 12. Let's just get it so I can prove my point. Psalms 91 verse 11 and 12. For he shall give his angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against the stone. I wanted to show you that to show you that the devils can quote scriptures. I know what you're thinking. Not my pastor. Yep. Your pastor's a devil, too. And he quotes scriptures very well. Because at the end of the day, are you keeping the commandments? No. At the end of the day, do you realize you're the Israelites? No. At the end of the day, you realize Christ is black. No. You understand? So, your pastor is a devil. He's a vampire. That's right. That's right. There. There's no power in Christianity. I just tell you straight. It's a It's the false prophet that that's mentioned in Revelation. Look at Matthew 24. As a matter of fact, watch this. Matthew 24 4 and five. Let me get it. Let me get it. Let me get it. Matthew 24 verse 4 and 5. And it reads, this is Christ speaking. And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, "I am Christ." And shall deceive many. Who did that? White folks. When the Spanish came, they did that. When the Dutch came, they did that. The Portuguese came, they did that. And they all came with that white image of Jesus. When the English came, they did that. America did the same thing. They all came with that white false image of Jesus. And they enslaved us, raped, robbed, and murdered us. and forced us to believe the white man was God. This is why you got white Jesus all in your churches. You all believe in white superiority, white supremacy. God is white. Jesus is white. The angels are white. The Jews are white. It's all white supremacy. You understand that? Watch this. Revelation 16 and 13. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon. So what came out of the mouth of that of one dragon? Politics. And out of the mouth of the beast, what came out of the mouth of the beast? Economics. Then it says, "And out of the mouth of the false prophet." That's what I wanted to get to. What came out of the mouth of the false prophet? Christianity. So those three unclean spirits represent politics, economics, and Christianity. That's what's being pushed worldwide. I hope you verse 14. For they are the spirits of devils working miracles which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of the great day of God Almighty. What are the three three main reasons countries war, fight, and battle? politics, economics, and religion, Christianity in particular in this case. I hope y'all got that. Oh, shoot. I hope y'all got that. Now, I want to get back to Sammy. Remember I said that how the vampire, the devil, was baptizing and quoting scripture to Sammy in the water. Well, Sammy smashes the guitar. He never lets go of that guitar. I'm going to say it again. does not let guitar get he does not let go of that guitar. Smashes the vampire smoking reik with the guitar over the head. Over the head. Okay. And all other vampires, they feel the pain. They feel it. The the the metal parts is all in the vampire's head. He pulls it out of his head. And what happens as he's about to kill Sammy? Smoke comes behind him and with a steak, he kills the main vampire. Okay. And guess what Smoke says to Remy? He says, "Get rid of that guitar. Get rid of that guitar." What does Sammy say in response? He says, "Y'all got me this guitar from a famous blues singer. Famous guitar plays." Nah, that's my evil, abusive daddy's guitar. See, Stack had lied to Sammy and told him that was the guitar of a famous player. So, Sammy wanted to be great. He wanted to be famous. He wanted to have money. So, he held dear to that guitar. But Smoke told him the raw truth. He said, "No, my daddy abused us. My daddy used to beat the hell out of us. That was his guitar. Get rid of it. Sammy had a choice. Who? Which twin to believe? Stack or smoke? Anyh who, anyh who, sunrise comes, sun comes up, vampires begin to burn. So at sunrise, the vampires are now gone. Guess who shows up? The Clu clan. the KKK, the same man that sold the juke joint now comes with other members. They didn't wear the hoods though. They was like your Aryan nations or they the same. They all came with their little shotguns, their rifles, and Smoke takes out his machine gun and it's a fight. I ain't going to ruin the movie. It's a fight. Now Sammy, it's a bloody scene. Bloody scene. Sammy runs. Scene now switches to the beginning of the film. Church doors open up. You see a young man with bloody torn clothes. He's holding a guitar neck in his hand. The pastor, we know now that that's his daddy, says, "Come on in, son. Come on in. Let the devil music Let the devil's music go. Let it go. Just drop it. Camera zooms in. You see Sammy holding the guitar head, the neck, guitar neck. He's just holding it. You don't really see what happens next. And his father pleads with him to renounce that music and seek salvation. Now, the father's right in some aspects, but wrong in many others. Why doesn't Sammy accept what his daddy is saying? Because it's the same gibberish that the vampire was saying. It's the same rhetoric. That whole Christian democratic liberal, we all one in Jesus. We all one. It's the same garbage. So Remy, not Remy, I'm sorry. Uh, Sammy holds on to that guitar neck. Now, there's a scene after the credits, but I'm not going to tell you what happens. I want y'all to see the rest. Y'all see the film yourselves. I It ain't too much spoilers that I put forth, but it's a good film. You're going to like it. I gave it a biblical breakdown to it. You know what it's about. You're going to enjoy it. Ryan Cougler, shout outs to you, my man. All praise to the most high in Christ. Shalom. [Music]
