Transform Your Grades with Active Recall

I got a 2.9 GPA, but last semester I managed to get a 4.3. Literally one study technique transformed me into an academic weapon this year. I kid you not, it works every single time on every exam. Be Asian. Nah, but seriously. Active recall. It's when you actively stimulate your memory to retrieve concepts again. Although it's much harder than rereading and highlighting notes which feel productive but actually does nothing for you, active recall is the fastest, scientifically highest yielding way to- actually understand a concept. So how do you do it? There's a lot of methods out there, but I like doing something I like to call lecture yapping. I go into a lecture, record the lecture with TurboLearn.ai, which generates notes, flashcards, and a transcript in case I miss anything. I use the notes generated as an outline and tell them to study. Once I've studied enough, I take out a piece of paper, then I dump everything that I remember about that concept and that lecture. Finally, I take that paper, I get up, and I start yapping as if I were teaching a class. And I see how well I hit the learning points, and I study and repeat this again until I get the concept. Doing this will help you gauge How well you really understand try it in your next study session. Peace
