• Education and Work Experience:

  • Lived in the USA for 16 years, pursued education, and became a professor
  • Completed PhD particularly in Agriculture and Biological Engineering
  • Taught in the USA from 2003 to 2019
  • Returned to IIT Indore as a professor in 2019

• Inspiration:

  • During his tenure in the USA in 2014, he became concerned about food security
  • Upon learning that the world had only 90 days' worth of food supply, he decided to return to India to address this issue

Agriculture and Environment

• Status of Agriculture in India:

  • Farmers' use of pesticides, 90% of those who have the resources use them
  • This negatively impacts the environment

• Experience in China:

  • A campaign to kill snakes led to an increase in insects
  • This example shows the adverse effects of pesticides

IKES (Indian Knowledge System)

• Objectives of IKES:

  • Revival of Indian knowledge tradition
  • Facilitate organized collected knowledge and research
  • 53 centers have been opened at the national level

  • Maintaining balance and self-confidence in life
