read because I couldn't focus I don't know my emotions were just really strong so I just couldn't focus I don't know how to explain it other than that so I messaged Scara I was like hey man I'm going to watch anime you got an account what should I watch and it was kind of mayday mayday well I messaged a group chat and the group chat was like Jody are you okay and my reply was no so can I just have the Rex and we can move on so scar recommend recomended Apothecary Diaries and freerun and so I watched freerun I watched it I got to like episode 5 The Vibes were good okay and then I put it down because I started Apothecary Diaries Apothecary Diaries I watched and finished in like a day and then I went and read the Manga and I finished that in like 2 hours and I it's not even completed so now I'm just stuck here am I yelling in your ear I'm sorry H I know I'm sorry you're just sitting so close so now I'm just sitting here waiting for season 2 I'm like but I loved it no I literally that's everything I loved so if anyone has any wrecks that are like Apothecary Diaries that's what I want and I don't want anything else hi that's a cord you're not supposed to bite it okay elevator pitch for Red Rising I think this is a book every boy every man will love also if you're a you know anyone will enjoy the book I just think that this feels like a book that every boy is looking for and I don't know because I'm not a man but it feels like loyalty humor a little bit of romance like I don't know sci-fi space War puzzle strategy okay the first book is kind of like Hunger Games meets Star Wars we are in a society where there's a hierarchy of colors everybody's a color uh Red Gold whatever Red's at the bottom Gold's at the top pink purple blah you get the idea the individuals that are gold look gold they have like blonde hair gold hair golden eyes red red hair red eyes red every whatever everyone's different um everyone has different jobs depending on what class they're in Reds are generally the miners goals are like your powerful politician whatever um and then I don't know pinks pinks are like your sex workers and whatever but let goes on the our main character daro is a minor he works on Mars works in the depths he's been told his whole life that the reds are going to be the Foundation of society once they mine enough of this specific material so that all the rest of the people can move to Mars because Mars is currently not habitable I don't want to spoil this for you it's really good I won't say anymore that's the gist of the story now why I think it's good is because I've never read character progression like this before I've this Dynamic of all the characters is so incredibly well done the Nuance between each character is the best I've I've ever read now I probably haven't read that many books in my life so take that with a grain of salt but I've genuinely been like I've just have never felt such uniqueness from each character and felt their presence in such a way again the character development is crazy like you go from thinking or like our main character is thinking one thing feeling one thing to just like slowly gradually it's insane the world itself is really interesting there's a lot of fun mechanics and I think the first book is my favorite and you I got through the second and the third because I was so invested in the characters I've talked about this before but like I don't know why this comes to mind but like I just compare Throne of Glass a lot in my head to Red Rising because I feel like Throne of Glass could have been really good and it isn't because of the shortcomings that it has that Red Rising carries the for example I think that a Throne of Glass lacks unique characters I feel like every character is generally the same feels the same kind of there's some differences but I don't feel the Nuance I know they're different obviously they carry different things but there's no Nuance I don't like stories where nobody dies and I don't want to hear it about the I don't want to spoil that but I don't want to hear it about the individuals who do die because I think that was a copout everybody had pot armor and you know it and that's fair I totally understand like wanting a happy ending for everybody um like it it' be like a comfort read fortunately it can't be my favorite because of that whereas Red Rising people are dying and that gets me invested because I don't know how the book is going to end I have no idea yeah anyways cool I'm think no I'm still thinking about the book you mentioned about the girl on a monster Jesus guys I don't remember this or I do okay what I'm trying to say is basically I have stopped taking recommendations from Tik Tok I actually have I don't I don't watch or read anything that gets recommended me on Tik Tok because I think they're just wrong they're not what they're not the vibe I'm going for and I've been I've been [ __ ] by book talk before anyways somebody was like oh if you like this you'll like this I can't remember what book was recommended to me like why but I was like oh I did like that book okay I didn't look the story up before I read it I just I was like oh I'll read it I'm pretty sure it was free on Kindle unlimited guys I don't I'm biting my tongue I don't even know how to explain this book to you woman gets taken by literal demon I don't know imagine 8T tall like a bold skull for his head horns spiky little fingers and I think like a deer torso some scary torso okay you could not have prepared me for where that went it turned into porn and I was like wo I'm not ready for this I'm not ready for this and I did not finish it because I don't know how we ended up there really but I don't trust book talk after that it was bad but maybe monster porn's your thing I'm not judging but it wasn't for me Isn't that just Beauty and the Beast how did you enjoy fourth Wing my girlfriend absolutely loved it I liked fourth wi but I don't think it was really good every book I read I have a level of I just pretend it didn't happen and if it's if there's like a meter I have a gauge I have a range for that and if I can successfully do that enough and get by then it's fine um fourth wi is one of those books that were like real close to hitting that Max Capacity type thing but basically there's a lot of cringe dialogue in fourth wi like really cringe dialogue if you can just close your eyes a little bit skin passet good book if you cannot completely understand not very good book yeah war is really fun it's about dragons and Academy it's kind of like the it's like basically Hunger Games meets Dragon meets dark Academia meets mystery meets you know like War trial type things it's fun it's a fun book but dialogue doesn't
