Prepare the Slide

Select the Text Box

Access Effect Options
Located on the ribbon.
Ensure the sequence shows each bullet point appearing one by one.
Activate Animation Pane
Click 'Animation Pane' button in the ribbon to open it on the right.
Configure Effect Options
Click the arrow next to the animation to access 'Effect Options'.
Change 'After Animation' setting from 'Don't Dim' to a selected color.

Choose a Color from PowerPoint Options

Preview and Run the Animation
Click 'OK' after setting the color.
Preview Animation:

Run the Slide Show
Use spacebar, forward key, or mouse button to proceed through points.
Ensure each previous point fades out as the next appears.
