Fascia Installation
Material Options:
Timber Fascia

Important Note:
Groove in fascia must be below the end of rafters or truss tails to fit sheets properly.
Initial Timber Placement
Place a timber piece at the end of one wall run.
Timber should run along the wall's length, extending past the wall.
Nail timber to the wall, positioned 10mm above the brickwork.
Ensure bricklayer has laid brickwork to a drop-off height.
Timber and Groove Alignment
Timber runs level, just above the groove along the wall.
Nail it back to the wall frame, ensuring:
10mm clearance
Level placement
Support Trimmers and Droppers
Purpose:
Support the initially placed timber.
Installation:
Use tile batten or offcuts as trimmers or droppers.
Nail trimmers flush to the framing member's bottom.
Dealing with Windows
Windows usually set in from the brickwork.
Method:
Nail first batten to the window frame for support.
Add trimmers between brickwork and window.
Consider blocking to support corners and molding.
Molding and Final Adjustments
Molding options: Quad, Square, Scotia
Function:
Cover gaps
Allow for timber shrinkage and house settling
10mm gap prevents roof pressure on brickwork.
Key Considerations
Framing must support sheet weight.
