hey friends welcome to post a post it's Neil here and welcome to Jersey concept Friday apologies for no videos this week um honestly just kind of got away from me I was really busy and didn't get a chance to make a lot of the videos that I had planned so hopefully getting those out to you next week but today it's Friday of course and that means Jersey Concepts and I've got a doozy for you hopefully I mean there's uh 32 here and these are by John and he's kind of called this series the uh essentially the throwback Series so we should have some maybe some retro designs and these are uniforms by the way not jerseys so entire uniforms here so John we are going to take a look at uh at your work we've seen it in the past and I'm excited for it today so let's Jump Right In Anaheim first ooh okay this is pretty new I I mean not new but I mean like different different was the proper word there this is definitely different I kind of like it actually it's very lackluster in a way because Anaheim is one of those brands that have so much vibrancy in color you've got the orange the eggplant the green I mean they've always really kind of I guess exaggerated the the vibrancy of the brand which is a good thing but here you don't get that you get that fourth color essentially that kind of goldish color and then you've got the orange just kind of almost taking a back seat a little bit and then the other colors you know they're white and uh and black so this is almost a I don't want to say a welcome surprise because nothing that anaheim's done in the past has been bad or wrong it's all looks pretty good but this is a welcomed Innovative look I guess um at a at a throwback concept a throwback uniform I will say that I don't think this is probably the best throwback or retro kind of design that you could do with Anaheim but I like it it's very different and it's very unexpected I was not expecting this so off to a good start John next Arizona we have some very rich colored pants and gloves plays in nicely with obviously the colors of Arizona and you know spoiler alert we're probably not going to see too many more Arizona Coyotes Concepts moving forward into the next season so this is our last harah essentially uh the helmet is colored like that as well as far as the logo I think it's a little bit too big and I personally prefer that as the shoulder patch or something else I would maybe want to see something else on on there as a primary color but as far as the Jersey ghost is pretty good next Boston I I like the pants I really like the stripe going down the sides of the pants that's a good call shoulders are very nice stripes are nice not a huge fan of that logo and I've never seen it before so I don't know where it comes from if they have used it in the past definitely not aware of it but uh overall pretty pretty decent uh uniform for Boston Buffalo okay so that was the logo from was the 2018 Winter Classic against the Rangers or did it predate that into rebok I can't remember logo looks fine I like the bottom of the arms that's kind of nice maybe a touch of white in there just to kind of balance the bottom middle of the Jersey I am personally not really a fan of uh striping going linear that way on the shoulders I think it's maybe only worked once or twice and it's likely not working for me here it does match the stripes on the pants a little bit but I don't know it's throwing me off a little bit I like the gloves ooh okay so this is a throwback to February 20th 2011 when the Calgary Flames played uh my Montreal Canadians and unfortunately beat them for nothing and I know that date and I know know that game because I was very much looking forward to that game and it heavily disappointed me but it didn't visually because this is an awesome uniform now it's not exactly the same that was used in that uh in that game but this is inspired on that game and I actually don't know what inspired that uniform that they use in that game so let me know in the comments I guess I can look that up after the video as well but I suspect that JN is kind of using that template from that Heritage Classic Game here and it uh it hits it hits I think this is completely ugly I think it's ridiculous but I love it like this screams you know 1920s 1930s 1940s something ridiculous that they would have designed back in the day with the text that's on there so I think it's from you know from that kind of viewpoint I like it like I like the Nostalgia factor of this I like the old school mentality I like that the uh helmet is uh is burgundy it runs nicely down into the Jersey not the cream color that you see in the panss of the gloves um yeah this is an awesome uniform I like it Carolina I had to like double take a second here so I'm going to say no to the logo I actually don't know where that comes from it look I I don't even know maybe a I don't know I have no idea but I like the Jersey actually I like the it reminds me just slightly of like Pittsburgh a little bit but yeah it's you know it's pretty decent pretty decent Columbus we've seen very similar Concepts in the past this is the uh kind of inverse of their alternate jersey now arms are different shoulders are different um there's subtle differences overall but in general the the general thematic of this is uh pretty similar so it looks good oh I was not really expecting this it's offwhite but it maybe it's just on my screen hold on no it it almost has like a tinge of like gray to it or something it's not it's not cream colored it's I don't know it's I kind of like it it's almost have it has a bit of like a weathered look which is great for Chicago because uh because of their history their original 16 the logo that's being used in there isn't their current logo it's a previous version of it I think uh this is this is pretty cool actually I like this a lot that one took me for surprise I think sometimes like if you show me this jersey just individually I I think I would probably really like it obviously but seeing in a uniform seeing how it it would flow down into the into the dark pants with the red on there as well and into the socks and the white helmet I I really like uniform Concepts as much as I like Jersey Concepts it just gives a little bit more context and I specifically like this template which comes from Sports templates. description let's move on Colorado oh you got me with got me with the logo for sure and I kind of like that I like the ying-yang aspect of blue as the primary color letting the shoulders breathe a little bit letting the arms breathe a little bit just in contrast to the current home Jersey and then having the pants be the burgundy kind of you know that ying and yang that offset kind of color I like this uh it's a little bit simple but very very throwback very traditional uh so yeah it's good well well well well well well different team same Jersey so this is a call out to the northstars essentially I mean it's Minnesota northstars but with the logo changed from an N to a big old D there oops did not mean it like that uh but it does look good on the front of the Jersey I mean it's a beautiful Jersey and uniform I it's one of the reasons why you know I I have it I I really like it so you might want to fight some M Minnesota fans off in the in the comments if you're hardcore for this as a Dallas fan but I think I mean I think they kind of should be allowed to use this although it would be pretty weird if Dallas played Minnesota and Dallas wore this and Minnesota wore like a white version of this it'd be interesting but yeah weird next Detroit uh maybe is it my screen the stripes look white and the shoulders look offwhite it might just be my screen but uh if that's I don't know I can't tell if that's the case don't like that it should all be the same color I'm sure it is the same color I'm sure it's just my screen but I do like the off- with aspect of this Detroit again an original 16 nice to kind of see like a throwback kind of weathered look here uh not the same logo that they currently use a previous version from maybe like the 50s or 4 I can't remember exactly but it looks good yeah overall decent uh I like the socks just cuz they're wild and crazy I don't love the Jersey I don't love the logo either it reminds me a little bit too much of the Heritage Classic that we just saw and I was personally not really a fan of that so this is probably a Miss for me Florida wow okay I was not expecting this this is very like Kansas City Scouts I kind of like this a lot I was not expecting this whatsoever it's very vibr now I don't think it's better than the current home Jersey I don't think it's better than the reverse retro 2.0 might not be better than reverse retro 1.0 but I like this a lot it is it's very 90s it's cool I like it surprise good surprise John La uh like the gloves Jersey's good it's a very purple uniform but uh it's nice it would be like it' be nice to see that color uh come back into their lineup not uh not my favorite purple and yellow concept I've seen for the LA Kings but pretty good here's Minnesota uh yes absolutely I I have been historically very critical of any Jersey that uses a lot of green and a lot of red for Minnesota I think it gets way too christmy however I did not get those vibes at all basically with with this uniform like the pants the Jersey the socks whatever there's a lot of red and there's a lot of green together but for whatever reason John's balanced it quite nicely and I think it might have to do with the of yellow that's being used that's really embedding another kind of language design language in here that you don't see on some of the other Minnesota Wild heavily blue or heavily green and heavily red jerseys like in the in the rebok years so I'm in huge favor of Jon's decision here I actually really like this uh concept a lot I don't know if I would change anything about it I think maybe this the yellow stroke on the back numbers is a little bit too thick but that's being real nitpicky real real nitpicky but yeah overall I actually really like this uniform a lot okay moving on Montreal Canadians uh I think this is going to be a Miss for me it's not bad overall it's okay but I miss the stripe in the background it's just it is what it is the Devils okay so uh throwback so we're going back to probably 1982 or early 80s whenever used a lot of green different logo obviously but decent I think this is a there's a good mix between like new and old so it's all right okay Nashville we've got the not the a verion a version of The Winter Classic logo stripe in the background is is good I think the logo is too small or something it looks it looks awkwardly small do you remember when aidas came out with the first run of jerseys and size 50 had normal logos Size 52 had normal logos but size 46 had the smaller logos and they looked ridiculous on the Jersey way too small That's The Vibes I'm getting here I just think that the logo needs to like either be tilted or Tilted and expanded maybe like 20% or 15% it looks too small at the moment it's a nice uniform though the Islanders okay absolutely like the jersey that is awesome hate the pants uh no offense John I really don't like those pants I don't like the colorization coming down in the middle that looks like a pen and it looks super awkward that not going to fly it even has no it's not not happening moving on the Rangers uh yes nice throwback here actually uh kind of Again original six off-white some Browns some leathered kind of look this is this is what I like for original 16 te so it's pretty nice yeah I I like this it's good Ottawa ah that logo it almost looks like too official or something it looks like something that should be on like a letter head I don't necessarily love it but I don't hate it either and if you remove the logo just remove the logo in your mind okay what other team's logo could you put on here and have it be a jersey you know what it reminds me of mid99s devils that's what it reminds me of I can see Maran bror in this jerse or this uniform rather so I think that it's a decent overall design I don't love the logo um moving on to the Philadelphia Flyers relatively generic uh uniform here nothing really to say it looks good does not look bad Pittsburgh man I think if they did come back with something like this it would be pretty popular my only criticism is the shades of yellow so the yellow in the Jersey is a different shade than the yellow in the logo don't like that um I would definitely fix that to have them be a little bit more consistent I think and if you did that you'd probably have to add maybe a little heavier stroke to the logo to like prevent it from blending in I don't know actually the more I look at this the more I actually don't mind the two shades of yellow it kind of helps it stand out a little bit so yeah it's all right uh oh Seattle wow okay absolutely ABS freaking lutely to the Jersey the back of the Jersey helmet's fine the socks the pants the gloves love all of it love the numbers love the color is chosen don't love the s in Seattle nice little touch but not a huge fan of it I would maybe just replace that with make all the letters look like that or just have the S just be the regular letters letters there uh but yeah overall I think this is actually a really nice Jersey or uniform either I like it a lot San Jose honoring the golden skills with that logo there uh other than that it's a pretty recognizable Jersey not maybe not recognizable but you know pretty similar to what they currently use and so maybe some uh anniversary jersies they've used in the past all right St Lewis I actually don't recognize that logo in terms of them using it that big individually on a jersey if they have in the past I've forgotten about it it's okay their uniform itself is very Winter Classic so obviously we like that let's move on let's see Tampa for a second the the blue pants were throwing me off a little bit I feel like this is one of those uniforms I'd have to see in person maybe like if the pants were black would that be too much black there's quite a bit of blue in the Jersey so I'm thinking maybe it wouldn't be maybe the pants should be black there's a lot of black in the gloves as well I don't know I'm conflicted here what do you guys think nice Jersey though TRN map leaves uh so John is on a trend here and a good Trend looking at the original six teams they're easy to work with from a throwback or Heritage kind of view and he's done a great job here off we being used in the in the Jersey leathery kind of uh look in the gloves and the pants this is this is great yep good stuff for Toronto Johnny hockey you know what I'll say this I'm not a fan of Johnny hockey if you've watched previous videos uh you probably know that if you're a longtime viewer however this is absolutely I think one of the better Concepts I've seen that use Johnny hockey I I actually really like this a lot there's not much I I change about it it reminds me a bit of like early 2000s Vancouver Canucks or maybe mid mid to late 2000s Vancouver Canucks a little bit yeah it's good Vegas like the numbers a lot love those Vegas numbers we saw that on the Winter Classic this year don't get get the green in the glove though not sure if that was a mistake or what but there's no green anywhere else so I'm not sure about that pants are perfect pants are perfect logo logo's okay logo's okay next the Jets yep I like that name plate on the back I'm going to catch some heat for that cuz I know a lot of people don't like it but I do I always like jerseys that have a different colored name plate it's very New York Rangers from the back though isn't it very very New York Rangers uh pants as well very New York Rangers but a wonderful looking uniform I like it capital so should be the last one I like the Jersey like the pants just being Stark red I think that's okay socks are good gloves are good logo is okay I like the exterior of it I don't love what's on the inside it almost looks like one of those hats that you wear you ever watch uh Ace Ventura Pet Detective there's a part where he goes to a a mansion or like this some some big fancy H and I don't think it's the Monopoly guy but there's someone else there was wearing one of those hats with like a kind of like a spike on top or whatever reminds me of that so I don't love the inside of that but as far as my favorite I I have some honorable shout outs I should probably give first so I do want to give an honorable shout out to Anheim because it just totally took me by surprise it's not the nicest it's not going to be my favorite but it definitely deserves an honorable shout out uh what else should get an honorable shed here there's some definitely some good ones Florida that one was was pretty good as was nice to see that uh I think that Seattle should get probably get an honorable shout out as well uh winter Peg's pretty good my favorite is going to be actually um Minnesota I really like this a lot it is probably the best Minnesota Wild concept I've seen that utilizes that much green and that much red together I like the logo I like the gloves I think this uniform looks really good and I think it would be hit as well with their fan base and Jersey collectors so yeah Minnesota's going to be the winner today so John thank you so much for for submitting those I really
