Steps to Create Water Lily Pattern

    • Continue until you have 8 clusters.
    • Finish with a slip stitch into the third chain from the first chain 3.
    • Cut off the yarn.

Adding Puff Stitches

  1. Switch to Pink Yarn:
    • Start with a slip knot and insert hook between clusters into chain 1 space.
    • Chain 3 (counts as first double crochet) and work three more double crochets into the same space.
    • Form puff stitches by dropping yarn, inserting hook into third chain, grabbing yarn, and slip stitching.
    • Continue around for 8 puff stitches.
    • Slip stitch into the top of the first puff stitch, cut off yarn.

Creating Petals

  1. Use Beige Yarn:
    • Slip stitch into chain 3 space, secure with chain.
    • Work single crochet, half double crochet, two double crochets, chain 2.
    • Mirror the pattern on the other side to complete each petal.
    • Continue around for 8 petals.

Second Layer of Petals

  1. Use Meru Yarn:
    • Work petals on chain 5 space with a mix of single, half double, double, and treble crochets.
    • Add front post double crochet between petals.
    • Continue around for 8 petals.

Final Layer of Petals

  1. Use Green Yarn:
    • Work on chain 6 space using similar pattern as previous petal layers.
    • Add front post double crochet as needed.

Creating the Square Base

  1. Use Cream Yarn:
    • Work 7 double crochets into each chain 6 space, with extra stitch on single crochet spaces.
    • Form corners with chain 2 between sets of double crochets.
    • Ensure each side has 15 double crochets.
    • Chain 3 at the start of each round, slip stitch to close.
