warning this video contains massive spoilers for the climax of payday two's story I will not be providing further alerts for spoilers so you have been warned upon completion of the long-awaited White House heist you're greeted with the parting words of the ill-fated and fatally ill bein followed thusly by a video detailing payday 2's so-called ending in which the entire crew disposes of their clown masks leaves the world of crime behind and many questions unsolved what happened to the secret society Duke and Bane were investigating what were the mysterious contents of the boxes we secured in Henry's Rock and what of murky water the dentist all of it what was the point of it all this ending disappointed many leaving countless heisters feeling unfulfilled almost as if that wasn't really the ending as if we had missed something turns out we did leave it to random Kenny the Australian analyst himself to spend tens of hours live streaming the tedious process of translating trying and tribulation a plethora of puzzles the amount of time and effort Kenny invested into cracking this case should not go overlooked he deserves support for all of the hard work he's done so please give him some love in the links above and below anyways the payday 2 secret connects heavily to the story and surprisingly complex lore if you aren't up-to-date let me give you a quick rundown of the plot as it stands our former contractor the dentist is in cahoots with the murky water of which Jiro son Kento is a high ranking officer and a secret society dubbed kuttaru they've used the payday gang amongst other connections to acquire three ancient boxes the contents of which have remained a mystery until recently the three so-called coffers can be found in the golden-green casino breaking feds and Henry's Rock heists in addition various activator items are required to make use of the coffers these are the medallion from Brooklyn bank Bane's guide from no mercy and the obsidian plates from shackles for an auction on top of this while not technically required by the game as far as I can tell I'd highly recommend having finished with diamond Alaskan deal or Reservoir Dogs and hells island in addition to having completed the White House heist normal ending by doing so you have experienced all of the secrets most relevant story beats as intended if you're confused to the simplest solution is to play through the storyline mode which will take you through payday choose Heights and canonical order and unlock all the required trophies in order to begin the seeker ensure each and every one of the trophies unlocked from the affirmation heists is on display and that you've maximized the upgrades to Scarface's room in the safe house once you've thoroughly decorated your house with all the relevant materials enter your personal safe house from the crimenet menu now from here things get confusing as I'm not completely certain on the order of operations here as I have been unlocking each step as the heists have been added over the course of more than a year so as far as I can gather you're to pick up the medallion from Duke's desk in the safe house then use it to open the three coffers in the kitchen inside are various materials that must be unpacked and then combined with the Obsidian plate to form this strange apparatus next the diamond can be found on a stool in the kitchen courtesy of Vlad this must be taken over to Bane's guide in Dukes room upon contact the guide will burn to ashes the necessity of the step as an object of debate however it takes so little time to do that there's no merit in skipping it after all of this prep work one final step is required to really get the ball rolling stroll over to the piano located in Scarface's fully upgraded room here you are to play the oldest song in the world now while we're all in the mood for a melody I don't expect each and every player to have a deep understanding of piano music so here's a simple guide to the order to press or shoot the black and white keys in upon the stroke of the knights note you'll be granted the sound of unlocking an achievement and the apparatus will align into its final form as if all the events prior have not been confusing and arbitrary enough it gets more challenging from here interacting with the apparatus will present to you a set of texts in a strange language and interacting again will change that message there are 20 messages in all and I would highly recommend taking screenshots of each and every single message as you'll be needing to translate them yourself before you ask I can't simply provide translations for you here and now as every single players set of 20 messages is different randomly pulling from a long list the cypher key needed to translate the images on screen now and linked below each symbol corresponds to a letter in the alphabet and this is very important to understand the text reads from right to left the opposite of how English works so for instance the than this message when translated literally is simply a mismatch of letters however when read from right to left and space is added in logical spots a full sentence is formed reading the four thieves found someone who deserved their respect this is in reference to the press f to pay respect to chief mantilla din the shackle thorne auction heist so that's the skinny event your obsidian tablet will contain 20 messages referring to specific achievements in order to unlock payday two's final secret you have to complete all twenty of these achievements on top of all the work you've already done thankfully the kind Souls over on the forums have taken to compiling a list of all possible messages your tablet can display and their corresponding achievements so all you really need to do is translate the first couple of words of each of your twenty messages and cross-reference it with the list until you've determined to what twenty achievements you yourself must accomplish here's my list of messages translated to the point of being undeniably unique and the achievements to which they correlate I cannot stress this enough your list is going to be different there is no shortcut here no way to skip translating your tablet unless you feel like beating every single achievement that your tablet could theoretically display instead of only the ones that does display which would be far more work the only help I can offer is the crowd source the list of potential messages and the achievements they translate to the torch is yours from there on of course if you're the kind of achievement hunter who grinds to unlock every new achievement within days of its addition odds are in your favor that you've completed your 20 trials purely by coincidence but no matter which way you slice it if you wish to unlock payday choose true ending you have to build the apparatus play the secret song and tackle all the achievements you're presented with if you made it this far you must be truly dedicated or absolutely insane or both now here's where the requirements get a bit more specific as if they weren't specific enough as is in order to unlock the secret you will need to be the host of the white house heist contract on overkill or above personally I'd stick to overkill if I were you now and I know this will disappoint some most of you but you'll need to fill up the lobby with three other players who have done all of the same work you have before starting the game the official requirements to complete the payday 2 secret to mandate a congregation of 4 worthy players who have all fought tooth and nail to acquire and appease their own personal obsidian tablets this means that not just you but three of your friends will have to go to extraordinary lengths to access the secret under the white house so proceed with the first half of the heist as normal in fact it may be in your favor to stealth it if your build can manage do not bring a stealth only build however as the contract will inevitably go loud break into the West Wing and if you haven't used any pagers yet you can easily dispatch of the three guards patrolling the halls adjacent to the Oval Office in addition to the camera operator or you can simply push through and loud if the speaky approaches in your thing grab the keycard and proceed back to the library now there are conflicting reports about this requirement but seeing as it doesn't really hurt I'd recommend ensuring the heist is loud by firing a loud weapon or dropping a pager before filing into the airlock now here is where my footage may confound the most astute among you you may see players leaving and rejoining this is due to a formerly present glitch that allowed fewer than four worthy players to complete the achievement but this has long since been patched out so as I've previously stated you are required to gather a group of four worthy players in order to proceed from here now then if the heist is loud on overkill or above and all four players in the lobby have completed the tasks laid out for them by their obsidian tablets a quick trip to the PX conference room will yield a striking golden glow pouring from the curious painting upon the wall if you see this you'll know you succeeded if not one of your players has not completed their personal ritual or you've done something wrong yourself if the painting is a light tear down to reveal it was guarding a weakened spot in the wall at which point the host of the lobby will be magically granted c4 to blast their way into a secret secret secret secret tunnel punctuated by a rickety lift descending down into the darkest depths of the destitute den at this point Locke will comment on the distance from the surface interfering with communications and the crew finds it appropriate to do away with their murky disguise from here on out if any player disconnects are more likely crashes they cannot rejoin into the heist has concluded so make sure that everybody is prepared for unforeseen consequences at the final stretch of the Hell evaders descent you'll be greeted by an open cavern housing a giant impressive wheel embedded upon which is the ancient language translate earlier there's a no murky water no security very little at all decorating this cave simply for levers connected to the intimidating wheel ensure all four players have prepared themselves for what's coming is the moment a player lays hands upon the monument Hell itself is unleashed upon the world so-called guardians of the Ark literal demon cloakers will come out of the goddamn walls in an attempt to protect the contents of the what is effectively massive vault star trying to crack these inhuman hell spawn will fire upon you and your crew before charging straight at you with a screech to pin you to the ground they are just risk and cloakers after all the catch is they spawn from thin air and do not drop ammo when finally defeated as such your crew will need to pack an ample amount of ammo and some infinitely rechargeable armaments such as throwing knives or if you're particularly inclined to bow and arrow doctor bags and first-aid kits are in all likelihood not required as the cloak demon downs don't count against you so prioritize a build with inspire ammo bags and swift reloads as dimensions collide and hell on earth spills forth the outer ring of the wheel will take shape into a message in need of decoding and remember this language is read from right to left which in the case of a circle indicates counter clockwise so for instance this wheel here translates to the legacy of Alessandro Cagliostro calls to the eastern star now the solutions to these riddles are five letters each and must be inputted into the sectioned off area of the wheel the catch is the first and last two letters of the solution must be adjacent to one another as there are only three wheels to represent five letters the middle wheel however has every letter of the alphabet present to input your solution the four levers must be repeatedly pulled in the proper order so for instance when faced towards the wheel the front right lever will rotate the outermost selection of letters and the back left lever will rotate the innermost both levers also rotate the middle ring however provided you save that letter for last this will not be an issue as the back right lever will only rotate the middle ring as such you're best off saving the middle letter for last in this particular riddles case the solution the word guide and no I did not figure that out on my own right far smarter individuals than I painstakingly solved every puzzle and compiled a list of solutions linked below the best way to go about it is to look for the last word of the riddle find the full sentence that it matches and then input your solution swiftly all the while having your three crewmates hold the front from the demonic onslaught once the five letter answer has been tediously entered again I'll remind you reading right to left hold the front left lever to attempt to solve if you got it wrong your progress will be reset but if you were correct in your answer the section of the wheel displaying the riddle will recede and be replaced by another riddle meaning you'll have to translate cross-reference and solve the puzzle all over again while keeping tabs on the infinitely respawning army of the Damned your ammo is a finite resource as there's no returning to the surface so your riddle master must play America's favorite game not two not three but four times solving puzzles from a long list of potential challenges and one wrong answer will set you back at square one the first riddle this requires Swift translation and a team of skilled marksman to pull off but if you made it this far you can't stop now after all four riddles have been solved the demonic denizens will flicker out of existence and as such the heisters will do away with their weapons the wheel will ascend into the ceiling to reveal a passageway through which will be a gargantuan interior simply staggering in scale this is the Ark of The Watcher this is the treasure Bane was truly seeking baffling as it may be as you investigate the Ark and discover that we weren't the first ones here but very well may be the last a familiar voice will boom throughout the temple the dentist will call your names and demand entry from behind the closed door he's taken lock in the ever sicker Bane hostage using them as leverage for his entry so you have no choice but to give him what he wants one wrong step in this part and you'll fail the heist instantly carefully but not slowly return to the entrance of the temple which allows the dentist to gaze upon the Ark of the Watcher now act fast as you only have a moment too as soon as he comes into view give the dentist a filling of lead directly in the head that's right the crux of the dentist's plan did not account for the heavily armed robbery crew continuing to be heavily armed once the mastermind of Bane's condition has been put under time is of the essence the arc starts rumbling is on the verge of collapse Erb take off or something either way the bag of mining gold lock brought with him must be snagged and its contents distributed along the outer ring of the Ark this won't quote feed it and when complete will activate its incomprehensible power the room glows beams of light strike down from each and every angle and then that's it the hisis completes and the secret achievement unlocked all you're left with is a sambar thank you from Bane and now for your eternal reward upon closing the game in theory anyways a patch should start installing itself once completed relaunch the game and you'll be greeted with four new secret masks all themed around ancient civilizations associated with the secrets lore more importantly the main menu will prominently feature the new movie theater option three videos should present themselves to you somewhere in Mexico previously dubbed the end is the clip detailing what would have happened if the payday crew let Bane die and gave up their life of crime entirely as I previously guessed this was in fact the bad ending however the newly available offshore payday showcases what really happened if all went as it should if you're using my video as a step-by-step guide I'd recommend turning it off now so you can see this true ending for yourself in its entirety we see the crew relaxing on the beach living a life of luxury with contractors such as the butcher and Vlad coming by to tie up loose ends in the story it's all very entertaining and well-made to boot a real treat for long-term fans of payday 2 and it concludes with the crew watching the live broadcast of the United States president giving it address after his kidnapping and awarding Commissioner Garrett the Medal of Valor for his supposed takedown of the payday crew all the while a news ticker Scrolls by revealing murky waters financial and literal demise in the end the president states how his top priorities ensuring each and every American citizen earns their pay and punctuates the entire address with the phrase let's do this this is met by a round of applause and cheers from the crew who are on the island to celebrate what they called the greatest heist of all while a heartwarming this ending leaves some loose threads untied and presents the obvious question what was the greatest heist of all well the final video if you cannot call of video should clear things up rumors and stories is a text crawl of what happened to each and every member of the payday crew after the events of the white house heist secret ending some highlights include Dukey getting a penthouse apartment with his wife and cats Jiro avenging his wife in kento John wick adopting a pet dog which can't possibly end poorly and wolf returning to Sweden to quote gtfo whatever that means all of these character and dings are touching and clear up a lot of questions I had particularly the final ending detailing Bane's faint I'll read it verbatim if you don't mind Bane before his body's succumb to the virus that plagued him achieved his goal of pulling off the greatest heist of all his final words will echo forever in the criminal underworld and circles of power let's do this Bane is the gosh-darn president all of the questions have been answered yet confusion still remains so while I'm not normally one for theory crafting I'll throw my hat in the ring and say that Bane used the arc of the washer to interchange bodies with the President of the United States the very same procedure that dentist was attempting to undertake by doing so he pardons the crew of any and all legal ramifications and can control the entire government with no one the wiser however you may feel about the secret society ancient alien magical wibbly-wobbly power shits I've gotta admit we stole the United States of America that was truly the greatest heist of all now I did my very best to compile together every step required to complete this massive challenge however if I got anything wrong
