Tafsir of Surah Ad-Duha and Others

you mean English or what's that we're going to find out tomorrow in what it means what do when they're striking the ground making the sounds what does that mean when it envelopes it covers the day with this Darkness we're ready huh all of these words are different words that we know that are common that we recite often and it's important to know what they mean because even when you know Arabic it doesn't mean that you're automatically going to know these words these words are they're known as the strange words that even a person who knows the Arabic language perhap have to search up to see what the meaning is we're going to start inhd we're starting in this lesson with Surah it is the first Surah of the the group of suras that we're going to learn which are known as or the right it starts in and this Surah isah it was revealed in meah how do you differentiate between a and it is based on time whatever was revealed before the hij the migration of the Prophet we consider it mcki and whatever was revealed after the of the Prophet it's considered even if it's revealed in mea okay was revealed in meca before the hij whilst the prophet was in meca and it was an early time of prophethood why was this Surah revealed the prophet when he first started receiving W Revelation and qur they found out about this Quran that is being revealed to him they showed enemy towards him especially those who were closest to him his uncle Abu laab and his wife um J and they were the neighbors of the Prophet so what happened there was a period of time that the prophet did not receive any from Allah he did not receive any Revelation so what happened um J the wife of Abu laab she came to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and she said yeah Muhammad your Shan that used to come to you has abandoned you has left you and is referring to the W because he didn't receive W for three days or four days it said right that's one of the reasons that I mentioned another reason which which is mentioned it is that they came to the prophet and they asked him about three matters that the Jews told them to ask about these three matters were about the companions of the cave to also ask about and to also ask about these three matters so the prophet responded and said to him that I'm going to tell you about these matters but he forgot to say inshallah and then when that happened he sallallahu alaihi wasall did not receive from Allah for that period of time and then they said to him that youran has abandoned you oh Muhammad and you're not getting the answers this was revealed to the prophet to console him to comfort him to inform him that Allah is with him and Allah is never going to abandon him no matter what and Allah starts Surah with an oath Allah swears by the time it's the first part of the day it is from Sunrise when the Sun rises that time until just before comes in and the Sun reaches the Zen that is known as the time of and that's when is prayed during that time from after sun rise to about 15 to 20 minutes before Thor comes in so Allah swears by this time indicating how great this time is because Allah does not swear by something except that it is great and Allah is the only one who can swear by what he created but as for the creation they only swear by Allah and they only make their Oaths by nothing else the one who swears by other than Allah he has committed minor as the prophet he said the one who swears by other than Allah what the prophet that he assult partners with Min sh is committed it does not take one out of the F of Islam but minor shik what does it do it makes your righteous Deeds void so Allah makes his oath he swears by the time of and this time the reason why it's so honorable is is that those who are committed to Allah are the ones who observe this time with righteous Deeds it is those who are committed to Allah's worship they observe this time with righteous Deeds that's why the prophet told us about which is prayed that time which the prophet observed at all times even when he was traveling he called it the prayer of those who frequently repent to Allah and turn back to Allah then Allah swears by the night when it envelopes and covers or it comes with this darkness and it covers the day with this Darkness Allah swears by it he swore by now the time of D and he saw by the night night which is another honorable time where Allah was woried in and it's the time that people are most sincere in their worship because nobody knows about it except Allah when the people are sleeping you are standing for Allah you're praying to Allah you're calling upon Allah you're worshiping Allah you're reciting the speech of Allah you seeking forgiveness from Allah you remembering Allah Allah swears by this time then Allah [Music] says this is now this is the response to the oath made this is what's been emphasized here Allah says your lord has not abandoned you oh Muhammad he's not hated you and Allah this claim that the are making that Allah has left you and that he has abandoned you left you and hated you and disliked you that is not the case your Lord will never abandon you and Allah he says your Lord this word it comes from the Arabic word which means nurture and the one who takes care of you nurtures you with his blessings right and Allah says your Lord oh Muhammad Allah ascribes to Muhammad saying he is your lord meaning your lord who always took care of you and protected you and aided you and provided His blessings to you is not going to abandon you never will abandon you reminding the prophet of the favors of Allah indirectly then Allah says and this is again another matter that's being the oath is being is emphasizing it and the Hereafter the next life it is better for you oh Muhammad than this immediate life the life of the D and verily your lord is going to Grant you he's going to give to you and you shall be pleased Allah is saying to the prophet that Allah your lord is going to Grant you from His blessings in this world but some of the S they attach it to the previous Ayah which is the is better for you than the worldly life meaning that is going to Grant the prophet until he's pleased and he shall be pleased abdah he narrates that Allah is going to Grant the prophet commenting on this Ayah 1 million palaces in J and each Palace is going to have different servants that serve it and he comments on that Ayah saying that that's verily your lord is going to Grant you and you shall be pleased now here he mentions two matters that he negates from the prophet that he's going to be protected from and also two matters that Allah is going to Grant the prophet is going to be given as for the two matters that are negated your lord has not abandoned you and that shall not be the case it will never happen Allah negates it this is a promise your lord has not abandoned you and he not hated you and then he gives the prophet these two promises as well that he's going to be granted that the herea is better for you than this world IE what you're going to get in herea is going to be a lot better than everything that you possess in this world and your lord is going to Grant you until you're pleased and you shall be pleased now Allah starts to mention his favors upon the prophet he says and how is it possible that your lord can abandon you did your lord not find you an orphan and then he granted you abow to home you are an orphan orphan is one in who his father passes away before the age of puberty the prophet was born an orphan so did Allah not find you as an orphan oh Muhammad and granted you an abode IE your uncle Abu Talib took you in and before him your grandfather ABD took you in and took care of you and raised you with the permission of Allah and the blessings of Allah wasn't that the case of Muhammad and did Allah not find you or Allah found you misguided misguided here does not mean that he was misguided From the Path it means that he did not have the knowledge of the Quran on the dean and Allah granted you he guided you I he granted you the knowledge of the Quran and the de like Allah says thus like that we have granted you Muhammad a r a spirit from our Command you did not previously know the scripture or IM prior to that you didn't have that knowledge Allah granted you that knowledge of Muhammad and not find you and you are found in a state of poverty without any possessions in a it Con the word means not having anything being in a state of neediness and he enriched you yeah enriched you when people hear this they think only about the wealth of this world but it's not only referring to that it's referring to a lot more than that when Allah says he enriched you it means that Allah Grant you the bounties and the wealth of this world yes but on top of that Allah granted you that he made your NS content and that's the greatest form of richness that Allah grants you that contentment that you are one no matter what they have or what they do not possess you're always happy with what Allah is Grant to do you're in a state of contentment no matter what and not everyone has granted that that's the greatest level of richness that's why the prophet told us theith he said whoever makes the his concern what he's worried about and he's focused on is what happens will gather his Affairs for him and Allah will take care of your Affairs for you and Allah Place richness in his heart meaning that you are the richest person on the earth even if you have nothing that's how you feel that's how you are in your heart you don't look at what other people have and possess because you think Allah has granted me everything that I need I need nothing else and the D is going to come to him unwillingly it's going to follow him without him searching for it that's the one who makes the his concern the one who takes that ay on board that the herea is better for you than this worldly life this immediate life what you're going to get in the here after is a lot greater therefore strive for that and work for that the one who has that mindset is going to be the one who has granted that and then now Allah starts to give the prophet some instructions and it extends to us as [Music] well as for the orphan do not suppress them meaning do not prevent them from their rights as orphans you you should be the one who strives to help them attain their rights as orphans and also do not be one who's unkind to them who hars them who makes them or oppresses them right because you were once an orphan and you know the full feeling of being an orphan so be one who is kind and gentle and merciful towards the orphans and this is a way for us to attain the Mery of Allah of right rather the prophet told us that what causes the heart to be soft it is wiping over the head of the orphan it caus your heart to be soft for Allah if you feel like your heart is hard and you're struggling being kind to the orphans and taking care of them and sponsoring them and aiding them and assisting them is what's going to soften your heart and the prophet he told us me and the one who sponsors orphan are like these two fingers in Jenna and that's how close you're going to be the prophet to the prophet are you going to be the neighbor of the Prophet Alam and if you're in that yeah level with the prophet the highest rank of paradise what do you think you're going to get when ABD is saying the prophet will have over a million palaces in Jenna with his separate servants and so on so you being the neighbor of the Prophet don't you think you're going to get a reward that's almost that level that's the of that you get when you are one who sponsors an orphan that's why there was a sahabi he used to serve the prophet his name was one day the prophet said to him ask me for anything make a request he said I ask you for your companionship in jenah and he didn't give that answer straight away he said let me think about it why it's an opportunity the prophet saying to ask me for anything this young boy who's in a state of poverty his family have nothing they don't own anything normally someone who would be in that situation who's in a state of poverty if you're given opportunity to ask you say oh give me some money or give me a home I can live in or give me some cattle or something like that from this worldly life that would be perhaps the first thing that comes to your mind due to your situation right but he didn't think of that he said I ask you for your companionship to be your neighbor in J so the prophet he told him okay that would be the case however I need you to help me to help you get there he said he said Aid me and assist me to help you get there by increasing your voluntary prayers your voluntary prayers they'll help you be close to the prophet for the orphan do not suppress them and last for the one who asks or who questions do not rebuke them as for those who are referred to here as the questioners or those who are asking or those who are requesting it's two types one and each one of them there's an Ayah that refers back to it at the beginning of the Surah we have the one who's asking for knowledge who's asking a fatwa who's asking about a matter of Dean oh Muhammad do not rebuke them I.E help them give them an answer do not turn away from them because Allah says Allah found you without that knowledge and Allah guided you to that knowledge and granted you it therefore give those people the knowledge and spread it and let them benefit from it that's the first question or request and as for the second as being referred to here is one who's asking for or allowance or wealth do not rebuke them because Allah says Allah found you poor and he enriched you so be grateful to for the blessing that Allah has granted you and give it to others and share it with others and do not rebuke others and ask for the blessings of your lord make them apparent speaking about the blessings of Allah or making the blessings of Allah apparent it is part of being grateful to Allah what does that mean it means that when someone asks you how are are you you only mention the blessings of Allah upon you to remind yourself of the blessings of Allah alhamdulillah I'm in good health I have a roof over my head Allah has blessed me abundantly you don't constantly complain and talk about that which you do not possess but rather you mention what Allah has granted you and blessed you with to be grateful to him to remind yourself I have a lot and Allah keeps giving me and ask for the blessings of your lord of Muhammad declare it the blessing of prophethood of being a messenger the blessing of the Quran declare it make it apparent of Muhammad and to us declare the blessings of Allah the guidance that Allah has granted us all the Islam share it with others that knowledge that Allah has given you spread it that wealth that Allah has granted you give it to those who are in need and give it in the in the way of Allah and so on that's part you been grateful to Allah that is now this it's reminding us of the favors that Allah constantly blesses us with starting from the prophet and by extension us and it necessitates that they reminds us to be more grateful to Allah that we become those who constantly are grateful to Allah and not gratitude it's through increasing the more you worship Allah the more grateful you are to Allah the more you do voluntary Deeds for Allah it indicates how grateful you are to Allah and Allah will preserve those blessings for you and he will increase you in those Blessings by doing that that's the formula and that's what is saying [Music] starts by saying have we not expanded for you oh Muhammad your chest have we not expanded for your chest of Muhammad by making it one that's filled with the guidance of Allah and IM and we've made your heart one that's able to cope with a lot that you're able to cope with a lot of difficulty and hardship that you face Allah has made your heart like that that you're able to cope with the difficulty that you face from people and their bad character and mannerisms you're able to cope with it and Allah here he's refering to and we have removed from you your sin or we have taken from you the burden that was weighing you down i e the sins and the e evil Allah says we removed it from you Muhammad we took that burden away from you so that you no longer have it this is referring to when the prophet he was taken by to thead to the countryside and he was being breastfed there and he remained with her until the age of four when the prophet was 4 years old and he was playing with his brothers and sisters from breastfeeding he was approached by two men in white garments and they grabbed the prophet and they cut him open and they took out his heart and they took out a piece of Flesh that was in the heart and then they washed his heart in Zam Zam water and they placed his heart back in his chest and stitched it back up that was Jam the Angels they came to remove that evil from the heart of the prophet and they said and this is the portion ofan in your heart they took it out and they cleansed his heart so that this was an a incident that occurred which was preparing the prophet for something that's going to happen two years later his mother passes away when he's six how was the prophet able to cope with something like that at such a young age and bury his mother in AB at 6 years old that was one of the things that helped him he's taken in by his grandfather two years later he dies Abu Talib he's raised in a house of poverty and difficulty he's going through so much hardship but he was strong and able to cope with it due to Allah allowing him to do so it's also said that the opening of heart of the prophet his chest it happened before before the night of and it's also said it happened just before prophethood it happened three times when he was four years old just before he became a prophet and at 40 and when he was a prophet before and each time this was done to prepare the heart of the Prophet for what he's about to see what he's about to receive the Revelation he saw J in his actual form he was taken to the heavens he saw a different Universe all of that Allah the prophet for that have we not expand your chest and make you made you content and able to cope with a lot and able to carry the Revelation in your chest the how especially how heavy that Revelation is and we have't removed from you oh Muhammad the sins and the evil that were weighing you down and were causing a burden for you that weighed you down your back down May weighed you down the S they removed from you then Allah says and we have raised for you your repute oh Muhammad your status meaning that the prophet he Allah has raised his name his reputation that and from the greatest ways that Allah did that it is that the prophet he is mentioned with every time the sh is mentioned is mentioned with it every moment of the day on this Earth the prophet his name is being raised with thean early on thean was called here in another part of the World perhaps they're calling now somewhere else they're calling somewhere else somewhere Etc in every part of the world the name of the Prophet is raised being elevated is being mentioned we have elevated for you we have raised for you your your repute oh Muhammad despite all that which qur say about you despite how much they try to to try to dispraise you or insult you Allah is going to bring you out on top Allah is going to allow you to Prevail Allah is going to make your name the one that's mentioned and those who are mentioning you today nobody knows them those who are insulting you perhaps nobody knows their names right they have been forgotten they have been put in the trash can of History where the Prophet we are mentioning him right now we are singing sallallahu alaihi wasallam every time we mention his name we are praising him we are studying his life whenever you read the Quran you can't avoid coming across Muhammad because the Quran is addressing him directly a lot of the time just like he addresses us and it talks about him just like these are talking about him then now he mentions these were blessings that he mentioned that he granted the prophet all these blessings they are as for the blessings that were mentioned in they were tangible right wealth knowledge Quran and so on having abod a home Etc whereas here Allah he mentions these blessings that are that cannot be seen with the eye they spiritual a lot of them Allah expanded his chest and his heart and purified his heart heart removed from him the burden of the sins raised for him his repute and so on then Allah now he mentions you on the path of Allah you live for Allah and not path it's going to be difficult it's not going to be easy rather you know this some of them would say if we did not find obstacles and difficulties on our path to Allah and calling to Allah and serving the Rel of Allah we will doubt our sincerity that's how they were meaning that it's expected that's going to be difficult because Allah says that the Believers are those who tested the most and those who are tested the most are the prophets and The Messengers those who are tested severest are the prophets and then those who follow them in faith and those who follow them in faith and those who follow them in faith Allah do the people think that they can say we believe and they shall not be tested and tried certainly we have tried those who come before them we've tested them so why what's the objective so that those who are sincere and those who are not sincere they distinguished it becomes apparent to Allah who's sincere and also the one who's not sincere the tests they make it apparent so Allah is saying to us despite all that this is another promise just like you're going to be tested and that's a guarantee Allah says with the [Music] hardship there's ease verily with the same hardship there's ease here we have which is definite it's saying the hardship the difficulty it's definite and we have which is it is indefinite meaning that with this this same hardship is repeated but it's referring to one hardship the same hardship but Allah says an ease and then he says again with the hardship is an ease meaning that the ease is two they are two eases with every hardship there are two and no hardship is ever going to defeat two eases that's what Allah is saying no hardship is ever over going to overcome two eases now the wording of the Quran is important to to notice because Allah says verily with each hardship is ease with it not after it with it is right there you may not see it but it's there and and after it the ease will become clearer after that hardship the ease will become clear you perhaps May comprehend it or you may not this is a or glad tiing that Allah has given to us after you hear a glad Tiding like that despite all the hardships or the difficulties that you go through in life this is what should Grant an individual Comfort it should help them get through whatever they are going through whatever difficulty that Allah is tested you with whether it is your health whether it is your family whether it is wealth whether it is not being able to find a job whether it is you're struggling with something whatever it may be know that that hardship that you're struggling with because every single one of us is going through something in different ways there's ease with it that relief is coming that's why the prophet said to us abdah [Music] he said no know that Victory it's with patience in order to get that Victory you need to be patient and that's relief it is with distress and hardship and that with the hardship there is ease meaning that in order for you to attain that ease and that relief you have to be one who's patient you have to be one who knows that this is from Allah therefore you are content with what Allah has Afflicted you with and you are one who holds yourself back from doing anything that may anger Allah in that situation rather you trying to make it a means for you to please Allah and it's also important to know that hardship that one may be afflicted with in this world is not always bad because the outcome of that hardship is what determines what it is whether it's good for you or not if the outcome of that hardship it is that you you got closer to Allah and you started worshiping Allah more and you abandoned the evil that you were doing in the sins and the things that angala and that hardship was a blessing where on the other hand if you are granted blessings and these blessings they distant you from Allah and they make you leave the obligations of Allah and so on the not blessing in reality it is a Calamity it's not good for you it's how you react and the outcome that determines what this really is that's why the prophet he says to us that the believer is not Afflicted with distress and anxiety or fatigue or illness or even the thone that pricks him except that Allah exper his sins with it these hardships they are a means for your sins to be forgiven they are a means for you to be elevated herea to be protected from the Hellfire that's why the prophet he told us that there'll be people who suffered a lot in this world they went through a lot of difficulty and they will be admitted into Jenna and they'll be asked have you ever gone through hardship or difficulty they would say we don't know what difficulty hardship is just by being dipped in Jenna once they forget all that hardship and the Hereafter is better for you than this worldly life meaning that this is only a few years yeah just a little bit of time the herea is forever that blisses forever so just by being patient just for a little bit of time so that you can get that goodness that Allah prepared for you by being one who is obedient to him then Allah says and when you you are not preoccupied anymore you finished what you're doing right some of them they attach it to the previous Surah where Allah says ask for the orphan do not do not repress them or suppress them and and harm them rather when you have finished giving the orphan what they need and giving them and helping the people in their needs and and teaching the people the Quran and and answering the questions of those who are in need whatever that you may be engaged in oh Muhammad get up for another act of worship for Allah engage in another act of worship for Allah that's one of the interpretation the other interpretation is General meaning that if you have finished any act that you're doing whether it was a worldly matter or matter of the Hereafter you have finished it don't be one who's doing nothing f up engage in another act of worship engage in something that's beneficial for you in this life in the next life that's why whenever he would see people who are not doing anything he would get annoyed he would say why is it that I do not see you preoccupied with your worldly life or you Hereafter he'll get annoyed because the believer is not the one who just sits around doing nothing nothing there's no such thing as free time for the believer the Muslim there's no such thing he's doing one act to another to another to another there are no big gaps where he's doing nothing there's no such thing you're created to work you not created to relax and sleep and do nothing that's Jala he was asked when is one going to find true relaxation and he when is he going to attain that that's he responded by saying when you place your first foot in J before that in the it's n tiring yourself having fatigue laboring that's what you created for and towards your lord desire I desire the reward of your lord seek the reward of Allah be sincere to Allah and live for Allah that is moving on to the Surah [Music] after he starts this Surah again with a by making an oath Allah swears by a the teen it is the Fig right was which is the Olive and this is referring to not only those the the Fig and the olive but it's referring to a land that he grows in which is a sham Allah refer to the land that he grows in which is right and he swears by the mountain that Allah spoke to m in which is in Egypt in CA and then he swears by this safe land and look at this the oath Allah is swearing about these lands that these matters that the and Z they grow in which is sham referring totin right may Allah free it and this is where the prophets and The Messengers were a lot of them the prophets and The Messengers of bani is so Allah refers that land first and then Allah ref [Music] to which is where Allah spoke to is another place of Revelation that's referring toah which is where Allah revealed to Muhammad Allah is referring to the three lands of Revelation the three lands of Revelation Allah makes an oath by them what is the response to that what is being emphasized say what is being made an oath for Allah says certainly we have created man in the best form that Allah has created you in the best form meaning he has fashioned you in the best form that Allah has granted you the ability to do things in the best Manner and so on right this is the response to the this is what the the is been made for and then we return him to the lowest of the lowest what does that mean it means that then we shall return him or turn him or he should be he shall be admitted into the pits of the Hellfire which is going to distort that manner that you are fashioned in it's going to ruin that manner that you are fashioned in that Allah creat in that punishment of Hellfire is going to burn the faces and the body it's going to distort it complet complely to the extent that you become unrecognizable and that's pH to those certainly we have Allah says created man in the best manner this is a blessing that Allah has granted us right then Allah says amongst the people who Allah who was he fashioned them in that best manner are those who are not grateful to Allah meaning they dis believe in Allah they reject Allah and they disobey Allah and they turn away from Allah this believers who are going to be thrown into a fire but there's an exception from that except those who believe those who believe they won't be thrown into that fire they do righteous deeds those who believe those who believe it means that they have the knowledge of the de and they have it firm in their hearts conviction and they do righteous Deeds which follow it right what is righteous Deeds it is the deed that is sincere to Allah which has been legislated by Allah a deed that Allah you are seeking his pleasure and his reward you're doing it only for him and it is not a deed that you have made up that you have innovated it is meaning that the prophet has taught us it he has legislated it you must fulfill these two conditions in order for your to be they do those righteous deeds those individuals will have a reward that is no that's never going to end an endless reward that's the exception but anyone who does not fulfill that criteria they don't believe they don't do righteous Deeds they will be amongst those they'll be thrown into the fire after Allah beautified them created them with that in that perfect Manner and he made them those who are able to worship Him and and do that which pleases him but despite all that they disbelieved in him and they turned away from him and they denied him and they denied the blessings of Allah and after that they shall be punished as a result of their actions when we come across aat like this because now this is the first Ayah of that we have heard so far when we come across the verses like this in the Quran which Allah threatens people with his punishment it is meant to make the hairs on your body stand it's meant to make the hairs on your body stand and terrify you don't think that this description is only referring to kuf I'm a Muslim alhamdulillah I am okay no because we do not know how our end is going to be we do not know how we're going to end our lives therefore the Muslim is terrified he's scared he never thinks that I'm fine I'm okay rather whenever you hear a punishment of Allah that Allah mentions in the Quran it terrifies you and that's why the best of creation Muhammed who is Promised jenah whenever he come across ayat like this and he recite it he would seek Allah's protection from it and he's going to J and he's teaching us that that's that's what we need to do that you come across an ay that Allah talks about this punishment you say I seek refuge in Allah from the Hellfire that's how the believer is and that indicates and shows the IM that's in one Hearts but but when someone does not fear the punishment of Allah they do not fear losing their faith and so on it shows a lack of faith it shows a lack of IM it shows that you're in a dangerous situation that you must do something about before it gets out of hand and you can't do something about it but also what you should do it is that when you hear the description of those who going to be protected from the punishment of Allah that you strive to be one who fits that criteria that description so that you can be saved from that punishment of Allah and you granted that reward and that gives you hope they shall have a reward that has no end endless reward that should give you that hope that I want to be amongst those who attain that reward so I strive to attain that the Believers between fa and hope so then Allah says so what is it oh man that's make you deny and the Hereafter despite all the evidence evces that have been presented to you Allah presented all these evidences to you that make it clear to you that you are going to be resurrected you're going to be held accountable so what's Mak you deny that and disbelieve in it oh man and from the from the first indications and evidences that you are going to be resurrected and held accountable on the day of judgment is you you are walking proof you are a sign of the existence of Allah because you didn't come from nothing someone must have created you how can you deny that Creator and turn away from that Creator and you're not afraid that that Creator is going to punish you for those Acts or that's one of the meanings another meaning that they mentioned it means who is going to to deny you oh Muhammad after all these evidences have been presented to them proving your prophethood and your truthfulness and who can deny that you're truthful oh Muhammad and that you're truthful about what you're warning them about meaning the Hereafter and the punishment of Allah after all these evidences had been presented to them isn't Allah the most just of those who judge he's not going to oppress anyone and he's not going to transgress against anyone Allah tells us that when the judgment is done and the people of J enter J and the people of the Hellfire enter the Hellfire Allah says that it will be Jud between them with that which is just and truthful and then it will be said alhamdulillah all praise du to Allah the lord of the universe who says alhamdulillah everyone the people of Jenna and the people of the hell they all say alhamdulillah it's understandable why the people of J are going to say alhamdulillah but why do the people of the Hellfire after being punished and admitted into Hellfire why do they say alhamdulillah they say they explain it that when the people of Jenna enter jenah and the people of Hellfire enter the Hellfire the judgment is going to be so just that no one is going to reject it that even the people being punished they're going to say ald that's how fair it is Allah tells us that even the animals are going to be resurrected why why are they going to be resurrected so that the one that had horns that oppressed the one that didn't have horns it can get his right back and then they'll be made dust isn't Allah the most just of those who judges that's Allah Allah says that the just scales will be pled placed and no soul shall be oppressed even if it's an atom Worth right the deed that you did Allah said we shall bring it and it shall be accounted for nothing will be left no good that you did will be abandoned and no evil that you do be abandoned what is it with this book it doesn't leave any big deed or small deed except that it's encompassed it it's accounted for it and they find what they have done present in front of them and your lord does not oppress anyone Allah the prophet after he' recite this Ayah he would say B responding to this Ayah that's a Sunnah he say B meaning you're responding to this that this is a correct statement right that's are you guys tired you guys want to break you guys want to stand up and stretch and go for a walk huh you can go on until do you have a question it's not it's not the the s and those who have who preceded us they acted upon it right when something is acted upon and we have multitude narrations it even surpasses a statement why because if the did it that means they definitely saw it from the prophet and if those who came after the they did it that means they saw it from the and they did it in groups it wasn't just a hand for one person multitude narrations right so it's something that should be done like he states that he states that they should be done in a number of ayat right one of them is here inah another one it is Surah right the last ay of and also huh and also in right the prophet respond to this and IM he goes as far as saying that even this can be done in the obligatory prayers you can say it obligatory prayer to yourself right and there's others who say you could only say it in the voluntary prayers but in obligatory pray you don't say it out loud you say it to yourself right that is the Sunnah and this is part of responding to the Quran interacting with the Quran and it's an important thing to do when you're reciting the Quran that you're not just reciting the vers of the Quran but you're actually paying attention to the meaning of what you're reciting it's important now someone had the hand of the that interpretation I haven't read it in any of the books of the only other opinion that I know regarding this Ayah which I didn't mention deliberately because the other meaning that I mentioned seems stronger it is that then he shall be returned to the lowest of the lowest meaning that he's going to go to extremely old age that's another meaning that's mentioned right but that meaning the reason why a lot of mu they reject it it is that what would be the point of mentioning that because it's something that everyone experiences right what would be something that's being pointed out here that he's going to be returned to extremely old age right he's going to become fragile so that's why they say that the other meaning which is that he's going to be thrown into the Hellfire it is stronger because that differentiates between the people the believer and the disbeliever and the one who's a Muslim and un Muslim and so on N you guys have energy for this of course anyone doubts that you need to go back to your s lessons is the first or the first few verses the firsty red from the Quran to the prophet and this Surah of course is Surah Mak it's revealed before hij and this Surah Allah he starts by with a command read in the name of your Lord that's created Allah here is commanding the prophet and all of us to read in the name of our Lord that creation reading it is two types it is physically reading books books of knowledge to attain knowledge and the greatest of those books of knowledge is the book of Allah the Quran that's the first thing that one should be reading and then the second type of reading that's me referred to it is reading the universe meaning reflecting on the creation of Allah around you because in that are signs that indicate that there's only one Creator that's why Allah says in the name of your Lord that created looking at the creation of Allah Allah created because in that is knowledge as well he created man from a blood clot this is from the things that indicates that this knowledge that Allah is mentioning is only discovered not long ago how the fetus develops in the womb of his mother that it starts off as an it looks like you know a blood clot and then it develops who could have known that, 1400 years ago no one they didn't have the ability to know that science did not get to a stage where they were able to know that so here's a sign that Allah is telling the prophet the Quran is mentioning things that could not have been known all that time ago indicate that is truly from Allah just like we have in the prophet mentioned men this he says he said the prophet spoke to us he's a truthful one and the one who's always believed what did he tell us why does he mention that before what he's going to mention because what is about to mention was strange to them it was something that they never heard of it was something that was really something that was really peculiar to them because they didn't have the knowledge of this thing that that's one of you he's Creation in his the world of his mother for 40 days he's going to be like sperm and then he's going to be a blood plot another 40 days and then he's going to be a piece of Flesh for another 40 days all of that was not known 400 years ago so that's whyd says he the truthful one the one who's always believed We Believe 100% we have no doubts in what he's saying because Allah informed him of that Allah created man from from blood clot read and your lord is the extremely honorable one the most generous the one from generosity he taught with the pen early on we're told to read now Allah mentions the pen reading and writing are the two sources of knowledge Allah chose these ayat to be he taught man what he did not know he chose his ay to be the first verse reveal to the prophet because reading it's where one attains guidance by reading it's one of the means of attaining guidance and that is what the Quran is revealed for it's a book of guidance that's why we are encouraged to read especially the book of guidance the Quran that the the believer needs to have with the book of Allah needs to be strong if you want your guidance to be increased if you want to remain steadfast upon that guidance if you want to be protected from deviance and misguidance then you need to have a strong relationship with the book of Allah reading it understanding it reflecting upon it and acting upon it and again the prophet Alat he was illiterate he could not read and he could not write he didn't know how to read and write with everyone else that is dispraised if someone's illiterate they don't know how to read and write you're dis praising them but with the prophet it is it is it is praise why because it shows that that which he conveyed from Allah is truly from Allah he didn't have the ability to make it himself or write it himself or to even read other books and compile it from their impossible because first of all that knowledge didn't exist secondly he didn't have the ability to do so just like that the prophet in his time what was common was poetry right people were proud of how the ability they had to compose poetry but the prophet was not able to compose poetry at all for everyone else that is dispraised but for the prophet is praiseworthy that he's not able to say a line of poetry Allah says we have not taught him poetry and it's not befitting for him why because it indicates that the Quran that he's reciting and teaching the people is truly from Allah which is greater than any poetry which is better than any poetry that even The Poets could not produce anything like it for the prophet praiseworthy now after Allah he mentions these matches that he started then he said here means and he definitely verily very man insan here it refers to when Allah says insan in the Quran refers to it means the non-believer the disbeliever he transgresses a verily man the disbelieving man he transgresses he transgresses the limits that place for him he disbelieves in Allah he does everything that Allah prited he goes far in his transgression and he thinks Allah who granted him all the blessings that he has and all the goodness that he has and so on he thinks that he's s sufficient that he doesn't need Allah he's deluded by the blessings that Allah has granted him ready to your lord is the return that everyone's going to return to Allah waala and they're going to stand in front of Allah and they're going to be questioned about what they did on this Earth that's a fact then Allah gives an example of someone who's like [Music] this have you seen the one who prevents a slave when he prays this these ayat were revealed regarding Abu Jal Abu jahal he used to threaten the prophet and used to prevent him from praying in the Haram he would say to him oh Muhammad if I see you praying in the masam I'm I'm going to step on your neck I'm going to harm you he used to stop try to stop the prophet from praying this is an example of one who Allah just referred to that insan that transgresses that disel Abu Jal is the prime example have you seen the one who prevents the prophet Muhammad Allah refers to him a slave and that's sh that's an honor to be referred to as a slave of Allah that's praise it's honor it's the greatest status that one can attain this world being a slave of Allah the more you are an for Allah the greater you are in the sight of Allah and Allah will honor you in this world and the next life but the moment you enslave to other than Allah to human beings to your desires to whatever it may be that's what's going to cause your destruction and you to be humiliated in this world and the next life that's a fact have you [Music] seen that if Muhammad right was upon righteousness and guidance and the truth and he was commanding right people's righteousness and piety would it make sense to stop someone like that from performing these righteous Deeds does it make sense and this one who is preventing the prophet from praying imagine if he denied he denies he disbelieves what and he turns away because that's his reality and here doesn't mean imagine it means that that's the case the prophet he's upon guidance and he's calling people to TAA piety does it make sense to stop someone like that from praying and just like that this one who's preventing the prophet from praying he's the one who disbelieves in Allah who denies the Allah even though he knows that Allah exists because they believe in Allah but they asso upon with Allah does he not know that Lord that he knows that he believes in does he not know that sees and that's the slogan of the believer does he not know that Allah sees that Allah he is aware of everything that's happening all the situation every situation that you're in Allah knows it and sees it and Allah records it he surveillances it Allah says if he does not stop from what he's doing if he doesn't stop we are to grab him by his for lock and throw him into the punishment with his from his for lock a for loock that is lying that is guilty of crimes now this is quite interesting what he said here is quite interesting Allah says that we're going to grabbing by his for loock why is a for loock mentioned specifically because the for loock it's where our character comes from the way we behave it comes from the for loock this part of the brain it comes from the the for lock that's where they comes from the way person behaves specifically things like lying comes from there so Allah he describes the for loock that's part of the brain as K lying again this was only discovered recently L scientifically it wasn't something that was known all that time ago but doesn't say every part of him just says that part because that's where the lies come from the behavior that he's acting with that's where it comes from but says in Arabic we have the word which comes from and we have which comes from and there's a difference between the two means someone who makes a mistake unintentionally he does something wrong unintentionally that's it comes from which means someone who does something wrong intentionally they know what they're doing is wrong and they do it intentionally Allah says he knows what he's doing is wrong which makes it [Music] worse that's why Allah when he said in yu when she was discovered by a husband that she tried to seduce Y what did he say to her he said to her strange what he said what what he said is extremely strange he said imagine you come home and you find your wife trying to sleep with another man how do you react would you react like the aiz reacted he said seek forgiveness for your sin very you are from those who intentionally did wrongdoing intentionally he knew she did intentionally but he didn't punish her he didn't do anything to her why because of lack of and is something that's attached to IM the more IM you have the more the protected jealousy you have over your woman folk the less IM you have the less you have and the more inclined you be to that's what the Quran is saying right but here the word is used again someone who intensely done wrong Allah describes it as for loock that is lying and intentionally doing wrong then Allah says let him call upon his people the number of people that he's proud of the people that sit with him in his M his Gathering let him call upon them because he conly says I have more men than you I have the ability to do this let him call upon them let's see what they can do for him we are going to call as Zab the Angels who are guard in the hell who punish Allah says we're going to call them Allah says do not obey him what and prostrate and come near be close now the way the Surah ends and the way the Surah starts it's connected the Surah started with right and it ended with and meaning that there's a great connection between knowledge and that's beneficial knowledge it is the one that increase you in your sud in Salah specifically Salah there's a great connection between Salah and the more you have it should have effect in your Salah it should make your Salah different you should be one who does more voluntary Salah because Allah when he refers to in the Quran he says Allah says ask for the one who in devout Worship in the night prostrating and standing fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord say oh Muhammed those who have knowledge and those who do not have knowledge are they equal they're not that knowledge is What Makes You Different when it comes to worship those who possess intellect are those who go to remember and those they're going to be those who act upon it so the more knowledge you have the more there should be that's the formula secondly says do not obey him prostrate and come near what was being referred to now regarding Abu jahal Allah said we're going to punish him from his full lock go to grab him by his full lock and that's the same part that he refused to lower to Allah to prostrate to Allah right with Allah is saying to the prophet do the opposite prostrate to Allah and that's what's going to raise you that's what's going to elevate you but as for Abu Jal and those who follow his example who refuse to prostrate to Allah that's what's going to lower them and degrade them and humiliate them again what do the prr come near Allah mention and being near to him and this is when you are the closest to Allah when you as the prophet he said the closest the slave is to Allah it is when he's in so he said increase your your Dua in it for verily it shall be granted a response bodies that are on the ground but the souls are in the heavens when you're prostrating to Allah that is the reality of it we'll give you a little breaker so that you guys can have energy for the next few SAS that we have y stretch your legs and drink some water if you need to five minutes five minutes starting from now that's how you meit
