you you all right shalom israel muslim christ bless can everybody hear me and see me can i get a brother to scribe for me can i get a brother to scribe for me okay all praises well today is second kings chapter 19 to chapter 22. all right um just to recap uh 15 through 18. remember we had uh tiglath palessa um who was also known as paul um he was coming against northern kingdom all right he came against israel as a whole but uh through hezekiah we were able to judah was able to um keep him at bay and not allow him to take over the land of judah although hezekiah did um pay tribute to them all right um northern kingdom they went into uh assyria through different waves um we found that out in chapter and um chapter 18 is um when they came up against judah but they were not able to overtake judah all right so we're starting at uh second kings chapter 19 verse 1. it says and it came to pass when king hezekiah heard it that he ran his clothes and covered himself with sackcloth and went into the house of the lord and he sent eliakim which was over the household and shebna the scribe and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth to isaiah the prophet son of amos and they said unto him thus saith hezekiah this day is a day of trouble and of rebuke and of blasphemy for their children are come to the birth and there is not strength to bring forth it may be the lord will hear all the words of rapture whom the king of assyria his master had sent to reproach the living god and i will reprove the words which the lord thy god hath heard wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that i left so the servants of king hezekiah came to isaiah and isaiah said unto them thus shall you say to your master thus saith the lord be not afraid of the words which thou has heard with which the servants of the king of assyria have blasphemed me behold i will send a blast upon him and he shall hear a rumor and he shall return to his own land and i will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land so remember while in uh chapter 18 raptuka which was a messenger of the king of assyria um seneca sennacherib sent rapture to us to tell us hey look we destroyed all of the other nations we destroyed their kings we destroyed their gods your god is no different this is what they're telling us they're saying your god is no different we're going to destroy y'all just like we destroyed them all right and this is hezekiah going to uh the prophet isaiah because remember during this time the prophet isaiah was the prophet at this time along with um and along with hosea so a lot of what you read in isaiah hosea and micah is going to be saying the same thing because they were prophesying around that same time all right uh verse eight and repshika returned and found the king of assyria warring against libna for he had heard that he was departed from lakish and when he heard say of tirhaka king of ethiopia behold he has come out to fight against thee he sent messengers against again to hezekiah saying thus shall you speak to hezekiah king of judah let not thy god in whom thou trust is deceived thee saying jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of assyria behold thou has heard what the kings of assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly and shalt thou be delivered have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers had destroyed as gozan and haran and reseth and the children of eden which were in telazar where is the king of hamath and the king of our pad and the king of the city of sephirov and of hinat and of ivo so basically this dude is like look we smashed on all of the other kings of other nations what makes you think that you're gonna get delivered they wasn't delivered we're gonna find out what happened verse 14 and hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers and read it and hezekiah went up to the house of the lord and spread it before the lord and hezekiah prayed before the lord and said o lord god of israel which dwelleth between the cherubims thou art the god even thou alone of all kingdoms of the earth that has made heaven and earth lord bow down thine ear and hear open lord thine eyes and see and hear the words of seneca which hath sent him to reproach the living god of a truth lord the kings of assyria have destroyed the nations of their lands and have cast their gods into the fire for they were no gods but the work of men's hands wood and stone therefore have they destroyed them now therefore oh lord our god i beseech thee save thou us out of his hand that all the nations of the earth may even know that thou art the lord god even thou only so the prayer of the prayer of hezekiah was for god to show his power and show that we are the chosen people and to show that he is the one true living god this is a prayer that we have to pray that's why when when when the scriptures talk about praying for the the the downfall of your enemies and all of that stuff praying for the the righteous judgment to come from the most high god to our enemies that's righteous that's what hezekiah did this is what this is what one of the kings of israel did he said look lord show your power and show them that they ain't nothing renault verse 20 then isaiah the son of amos sent to hezekiah saying thus saith the lord god of israel that which thou has prayed to me against seneca rib king of assyria i have heard this is the word that the lord had spoken concerning him the virgin the daughter of zion had despised thee and laffy to scorn the daughter of jerusalem had shaken her head at thee whom his thou reproached and blasphemed and against whom his doubt exalted thy voice and lifted up thine eyes on how even against the holy one of israel so the lord is telling them through the prophet isaiah israel is laughing at you israel is laughing at you that's why a lot of times when we going through life and we going through the things that that you know we got uh the jobs that we don't like to work and you know uh the people that we have to deal with of the other nations and stuff like that you don't have to stoop down to their level and argue with them you don't have to call uh esau the devil all loud in public you don't have to do none of that you could just laugh to yourself knowing that no matter what it's already written that y'all are going to lose y'all alone y'all lost already the fact that they even have people that will come on our platforms and and express their dislike for us in the bible you already lost you already lost people uh sending messages all through the the the messenger and all of that stuff disagreeing what we're talking about you already lost we already have the one true living god and he is going to protect us verse 23. by thy messengers thou has reproached the lord and has said with the multitude of my chariots am i come up to the height of the mountains to the sides of lebanon and i will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof and the choice fir trees thereof and i will enter into the lodgings of his borders and into the forest of his karma i have dig and drunk strange waters and with the soul of my feet i have dried up all the rivers of besieged places hast thou not heard long ago that i have done it and of ancient times i have formed it now have i brought to pass that which thou should is be to lay waste to fence cities and ruin his heaps the most high is schooling him real quick he's schooling him real quick i'm gonna read it again he said by thy message verse 23 again by thy messengers thou has reproached the lord and has said with the multitude of my chariots am i come up to the height of the mountains to the side of lebanon i will cut down the tall seas thereof and the choice for trees thereof and i will enter into the lodgings of his borders and into the forest of carmel i have digged and drunk strange waters with the soul of my feet have i dried up all the rivers of deceived places this is what the the the king of assyria was telling us this is what he was telling the lord so the king of assyria is like i'm doing all of this i'm doing all that i'm doing this i'm doing that same thing with america today oh we we're the greatest nation oh we we we've been doing this and we've been doing that and it's our army and it's our military and it's it's our political system that's doing all of this watch what the lord said verse 25 has thou not heard long ago i have done it and of ancient times that i have formed it now i have brought it to pass that's what the lord is saying he said he brought it to pass he said didn't you hear a long time ago that i did this i formed this i bought this to pass now have i brought it to pass that thou should just be he said i bought it to pass that you should even beat and what's the purpose to lay waste fence cities into ruinous heaps why was it that god formed everything and he made the king of assyria to make fence cities ruin his heaps that's what he's telling him i made you i gave you the ability to take i gave you that power i gave you the ability to take over people let's go to uh let's jump back real quick to um second kings chapter 17. we're gonna go to verse uh 19. we'll go to verse 19. second kings chapter 17 verse 19. he said also judah kept not the commandments of the lord their god but walked in the statutes of israel which they made and the lord rejected all the seed of israel and afflicted them and delivered them into the hand of spoilers until he had cast them out of his sight so because of our sin the lord said i'm going to deliver judah and israel into the hand of spoilers first it was going to be just israel but then judah started going off too so he said you know what i'm going to deliver on to the hand of spoilers and now these spoilers these other kings of the other nations are now coming against us saying that it's by their power they're the ones that that were able to take us over they're the ones that are able to subdue all nations and the lord is like no i made you this i made you this for a reason reading on verse 26 therefore their inhabitants were of small power that's what the law said therefore their inhabitants were of small power assyria had small power that's it they didn't have they didn't have as much power as they thought they did same thing with america same thing with america real quick go to i'm gonna continue uh therefore their inhabitants were of small power they were dismayed and confounded they were as the grass of the field as the green herb as the grass of the house tops and as the corn blasted before it grew up go to micah chapter one and verse six micah chapter one and verse six just to show you remember this is isaiah talking to uh hezekiah this is isaiah talking to hezekiah and this is the word of the lord by the mouth of isaiah let's see what michael is saying michael chapter 1 verse 6 therefore i will make samaria as in heat of the field and as plantings of a vineyard and i will pour down the stones thereof into the valley and i will discover the foundations thereof and all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces and all the hires thereof shall be burned with fire and all the idols thereof i will late will i lay desolate for she gathered it of the higher than harlot and they shall return to the higher evan harvey so right here he's saying he's going to make samaria desolate that's what he did that's the same thing that he said in verse 25 i sent you here so you can make fence cities desolate so when you go to second kings 17 and when they besieged the city three years you now see why you now see why they was able to do such things it's all because of the sin and idolatry that judah and israel started to go in it's just that judah went to israel back to the second kings 19 number 26 again therefore their inhabitants were of small power they were dismayed and confounded they were as the grass of the field and as the green herb and as the grass on the house tops and as the corn blasted before it grew up but i know thy abode and i going out and i coming in and i rage against me because i rage against me and thy tumult is come up to mine ears therefore i will put my hook in thy nose and my bridle in my lips and i will turn thee back by the way which thou came is so the lord is like look i know everything that you're saying against me same thing with today the lord hears everything that they sing everything that they're doing he sees it he said you know what for this i'm going to jack you up you ever put a hook in somebody's nose and turn them imagine how painful that is to put a hook in somebody's nose and a bridle on their lips so you got them hooked nose and in a lips and you're pulling them that's that's painful and that's what the lord said he won't do to them remember remember that rage against him is that verse 28 it goes with verse seven in the same chapter second kings nineteen verse seven behold i will send a blast upon him you shall hear a rumor and shall return to his own land and that will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land so when you go over to 28 he says because thy race against me and die to motors come up to mine ears therefore i will put my hook and die nose and my bridle in my lips and i will turn thee back by the way with style canis so he was going to go back to assyria but when he gets there to assyria what's actually going to happen we're going to see verse 29 second kings chapter 19 verse 29 and this shall be a sign unto thee you shall eat this year such things as a girl of themselves and in the second year that would spring it up of the same and in the third year so ye and reap and plant vineyards and eat the fruits thereof and the remnant that has escaped of the house of judah shall yet again take root downward and bear fruit upward for the for out of jerusalem shall go forth a remnant and they that escape out of mount zion the zeal of the lord of hosts shall do this so even though there were going to be uh a captivity that happens to judah in israel he said a remnant is going to be saved out of that and that's it's twofold because iran that did come out of uh assyria um and into babylon we know that and it's also talking about that remnant today so verse 32 therefore thus saith the lord concerning the king of assyria he shall not come into this city nor shoot an arrow there nor come before it with shield nor cast a bank against it by the way that he came by the same shall he return and shall not come into the city saith the lord for i will defend this city to save it for mine own sake and for my servant david's sake so the lord is letting him know like he's not even going to be able to shoot an arrow at this city he he's not going to do what he did to samaria to judah he's not going to do that what he did to samaria he's not going to do to jerusalem won't happen it won't happen the prayer of of hezekiah the the prophecy of isaiah and micah and hosea all of these things had to happen all of these things had to happen and let's see what the lord did verse 35 and it came to pass that night that the angel of the lord went out and smote the camp of the assyrians and a hundred and four score and five thousand a hundred and four score and five thousand and when they arose early in all dead courses a score is so if you have 4 score that's 80. so 185 000 the angel of the lord came and murdered came and killed all of it israel didn't have to lift up a finger that's why it's it it's imperative that we read the history because the history ain't gonna do nothing but repeat itself that's why zephyr knight or zechariah said not by might but by my spirit saith the lord we're not going this is not no go grab guns type battle because you see right here they didn't even get a chance to to get weapons the lord handled that battle for me the lord did that for them and killed 185 000 of them that's called praying for the death of your enemies that's called praying for righteous judgment and we see what happened verse 36 so seneca river king of assyria departed and went and returned and dwelt at nineveh and it came to pass as he worshipping in the house of his nisharak his god that adremalek and charizard his sons smote him with the sword and they escaped into the land of armenia and assah haddon his son reigned in his stay remember that's what was said in the beginning of the chapter behold i will send a blast upon him he shall hear a rumor and he shall turn to his own land and cause him to fall by the sword in his own land he fell by the sword in his own lane by his own sons now watch this watch this marie 36 again so seneca rip king of assyria departed and went to return and dwelt at nineveh dwelt at nineveh who was in nineveh remember at this time northern kingdom they they they left already they was already exiled they samaria had got taken over northern kingdom was already in in assyria it was already in captivity so who was in nineveh let's see go to the book of toby right when he said abraham can is there but one or five righteous no but there wasn't nobody so go to the book of tobit chapter 1 and we're going to read verse 21. matter of fact we're going to start at 18. we'll start at 18. tobit chapter 1 verse 18. remember what what i'm showing is is a lot of a lot of the prophets were there at the same time it's no different from the brothers in los angeles the brothers in great northwest the brothers in chicago the brothers in texas the brothers in florida the brothers in georgia the brothers in new york yeah we're in all different places but we're all prophesying the same exact thing we're all prophesying the same exact thing we may be going through different things in our current locations but biblically we're saying the same exact thing this is exactly why the prophets are saying the same exact thing micah says the same thing as isaiah which says the same thing as hosea now watch this same thing we read in the book of second kings 19 we're going to read it right here in total chapter 1 verse 18. it said and if the king seneca river had slain any when he was come and fled from judea i buried them privileged for his rat for in his wrath he killed many but the bodies were not found when they were sought for of the king and one of the ninevites went and complained of me to the king that i buried them and hid myself understanding that i was sought for to be put to death i would drew myself for fear then all my goods were forced to be taken neither was there anything that left me besides my wife anna and my son tobias so remember what he said seneca river king seneca this is the same king that was just talked about who just sent that messenger to us in verse 18 and 19. i mean chapter 18 and ver and chapter 19 in second kings now watch this tobit 1 verse 21 in their past not 5 and 50 days before two of his sons he's talking about sonicare before two of his sons killed him and they fled into the mountains of azeroth and sarcodonis which is sr haddon his son reigned in his stay who appointed over his father's account and over all his affairs akaya karis my brother and elle's son and akaya karis entreating for me i returned to nineveh because remember uh toby went and hid himself because he was burying the dead israelites and he was being sought for to get put to death so his nephew in treating for me i returned to nineveh now akaya karis was cut bearer and keeper of the signet and steward and overseer of the accounts and sarcodonis appointed him next to him and he was my brother's son so tobit had a nephew that was in a high position in nineveh at the same time that seneca river got murdered by his two sons and sr haidan or what they call them sarcodonis overtook after sennecore got murdered by his sons right so just showing you that a lot of what's being read in the history is being repeated over and over like whenever we get to uh isaiah you're gonna you're gonna remember a whole lot of what you're reading in isaiah you're gonna remember it from kings and a lot of stuff that you read in kings you're gonna read it in isaiah and some of it you're gonna read in hosea some of it you're gonna read in michael it was all prophecies of what was going to happen to us as a nation all right verse chapter 20 verse one second kings chapter 20 verse one in those days hezekiah in those days was hezekiah sick unto death and the prophet isaiah the son of amos came to him and said unto him thus saith the lord set thine house in order for thou shalt die and not live and he returned and he turned his face to the wall and prayed unto the lord saying i beseech thee oh lord remember now how i have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart and have done that which is good in thy sight in hezekiah wept sword and it came to pass before isaiah was going out of the middle of the court out of the middle court that the word of the lord came to him saying turn again and tell hezekiah the captain of my people thus saith the lord god of david thy father i have heard thy prayer and i have seen thy tears behold i will heal thee and on the third day thou shalt go up to the house of the lord and i will add unto thy days 15 years and i will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of assyria and i will defend this city for my known sake and for my servant david's sake and isaiah said take a lump of figs and he took it and laid it on the boil and he recovered that's why a lot of times we can look up uh remedies we can look up um you know different herbs and stuff like that but along with healing you have to pray you got to pray to the lord and then you will be healed it's not just the healing it's not just the herbs because you can mess around and take some herbs a bad combination to make makes things worse but that's why you have to heal you got it from to be healed you have to pray to the lord fasting and prayer goes hand in hand with healing all right and that's what hezekiah did he prayed to the lord the lord added 15 years to him and he was healed he he was healed this is what we have to understand that us as a people when we did get sick our our sickness and our healing was in the hand of the lord like it says it was in the solomon 14. our healing is in the hand of the lord all right verse 8 in chapter 20 and hezekiah said unto isaiah what shall be the sign that the lord will heal me and that i shall go up unto the house of the lord the third day and isaiah said the sign shalt thou have of the lord that the lord will do the thing that he had spoken shall the shadow go forward 10 degrees or go back 10 degrees and hezekiah answered it is a light thing for the shadow to go down 10 degrees but let the shadow return backward 10 degrees and isaiah the prophet cried unto the lord and he brought the shadow 10 degrees backward by which it had gone down by the dial of ahaz so that that sundial that that uh we used to wear back in the day they used to tell time so uh hezekiah was like i mean of course i mean the sun rises in the east and sets in the west so if if the sun goes forward 10 degrees i mean it's it's not really a big thing you know what i mean it's it's it's pretty normal but if it goes backwards 10 degrees now we're on to something now we got something if you can make the sun go backwards 10 degrees then i believe it and that's what he did isaiah cried to the lord and the sundial went backwards 10 degrees which is one of the ways that we told time verse 12 at that time beryl doc baladan the son of baladan king of babylon sent letters and a present unto hezekiah for he had heard that hezekiah had been sick now this is the introduction of babylon all right this is the introduction of babylon because remember babylon was just a providence at this time and this this is this is the culmination of uh the the switch to power basically you're gonna see a power struggle in the next couple chapters is going to be a power struggle because there were assyrian kings that were over babylon and then later there were babylon kings that were over parts of assyria all right so you you have to keep up with the history sometimes it may be a little difficult to keep up with because it's new and it's a lot so i suggest that y'all go back and watch a lot of these classes and really get it into your spirit what's going on here all right so barrow that baladan came and gave president uh presence to hezekiah because he heard hezekiah was sick verse 13 and hezekiah hearken unto them and show them all the house of his precious things the silver and the gold and the spices and the precious ointment in all the house of his armor and all that was found in his treasures there was nothing in his house nor lowering all his dominion that hezekiah showed them not so basically hezekiah because of the gift you know uh ecclesiastes 77 the uh the gift destroys the heart hezekiah went ahead and trusted his enemies and basically did an episode of cribs this dude did an episode of cribs in jerusalem and was just showing these people every he left them people in everything they used they saw everything they saw everything so let's let's see what happens and uh also to let you know from verse 12 in this chapter all the way down to verse 19 it's the same thing in isaiah chapter 39 all right it's the same thing in isaiah chapter 39 verse 14 second kings chapter 20 verse 14 then came isaiah the prophet unto king hezekiah and said unto him what said these men and from whence came they unto thee and hezekiah said they are come from a far country even from babylon and he said what have they seen the nine house hezekiah answered all the things that are in my house have they seen there is nothing among my treasures that i have not showed them and isaiah sent it to hezekiah hear the word of the lord behold the days come that is in thine house and that which thy fathers have laid up in store and to this day shall be carried away shall be carried into babylon nothing shall be left so isaiah was letting him know look because you showed them everything they're gonna come in here and take everything they they saw your house they saw your treasures they saw everything that you got they gonna come in here and take everything ain't nothing gonna be left nothing is gonna be left and of thy sons that shall issue from thee which thou shalt beget they shall take away and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of babylon then hezekiah sanitizer good is the word of the lord which thou has spoken and he said is it not good if peace and truth be in my days so the verse 18 was prophesied of our sons being in babylon as eunuchs which go to daniel chapter one go to daniel chapter one daniel chapter 1 verse 3 it says and the king spake unto ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs that he should bring certain of the children of israel and of the king's seed and of the princes so he's talking to the master of his eunuchs right so the eunuchs that he was talking to were eunuchs from the children of israel another king seed children in whom was no blemish but well favored and skillful in wisdom and cunning and knowledge and understanding science and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace and whom they might teach the learning and tongue of the chaldeans right now jump down to verse six it said now among these were of the children of judah daniel hananiah michelle and azariah so daniel and his three friends they were eunuchs in the palace of the king of babylon it's the same thing that isaiah told hezekiah just now in second kings chapter 20. all right just showing y'all the connection of everything verse uh 2nd kings chapter 20 verse 19 then said hezekiah unto isaiah good is the word of the lord which thou has spoken and he said is it not good if peace and truth be in my days and the rest of the acts of hezekiah and all his might and how he made a pool and a conduit and brought water into the city are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of judah and hezekiah slept with his fathers and manessa his son look at verse 20 it said how he made a pool and a conduit and brought water into the city that is vision like no other to be able to bring water into the city that's what he was able to do he was able to bring water into the city that's that's planning that's nation building right there that's what that is now chapter 21 verse one y'all with me so far right alright all praises uh a eunuch is someone that has uh his private parts cut off that's what a eunuch is um a lot of times in different captivities uh the the nations got off on making us eunuchs and they would cut off our private parts the men they would cut off our private parts and would make us serve uh much like uh george washington carver he was a eunuch um and that that's that's one of the things that happened to us in these different captivities very unfortunate and it takes a strong spirit to have to deal with something like that so chapter 21 manessa was 12 years old when he began to reign and reign 50 and 5 years in jerusalem and his mother's name was hefziba and he did that which was evil in the sight of the lord after the abominations of the heathen whom the lord cast out before the children of israel so uh manessa was wicked as hell this dude was wicked as hell this dude was off the chain with it this this guy he oh my goodness he repented and he repented but he was still wicked he was still wicked all right this dude you're gonna see in a second um verse three before he built up again the high places which hezekiah has fought destroyed and he reared up altars for bail and made a grove as did ahab king of israel and worshiped all the host of heaven and served them enters unto the house of the lord he built altars in the house of the lord of which the lord said in jerusalem will i put my name and he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the lord you know how much nerve that is to go into the house of the lord and put idols inside of it to put up images of bail inside of the house of the law you got no fear zero fear and these are the oh my goodness these are the things that a lot of our people did and it's no different today that's why we constantly tell people we are repenting not repentant there's a lot of our people who do wicked things and guess what they can repent they can repent that's why you shouldn't be are you the two-thirds or or you ain't gonna make it how you know that how you know you ain't gonna make it we're not supposed to judge things before the time we know that there is a two-thirds we know that there is people that won't make it but we don't know who's who not yet that's why you just put yourself to the work continue doing the work of the lord let the let the angels and let let christ judge everything and then do the work of the lord correct the problems that need to be corrected that we can correct other than that just do what the word do do what the word of the lord said to do verse six and he made his son pass through the fire in observed times and used enchantments and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the lord to provoke him to anger so that's one of the things that that uh manessa did he immediately went back to the idolatry immediately immediately and it's it's it's more of facebook starting a mess now hey it is what it is uh it's it's more of the same when it comes to all of these wicked kings because if you notice there's a pattern we'll have a good king then we'll have a wicked king and that wicked king would he'll do he'll build back up those idols then the good king he'll come and destroy those idols and wicked king come building back up again because a lot of times like we weren't serving these idols for nothing always a uh a reward if you will um people celebrate christmas not because they think it's the birth of christ but because that they get gifts and they get presents and they can they can have eggnog parties and get overly drunk once again uh people don't celebrate thanksgiving because they like their family they celebrate it because they get some plates to eat and they can go get high and they can go eat all the thanksgiving food and thanksgiving night they can go to the club and they can revel and party and they have an excuse to party you know what i'm saying people celebrate fourth of july why so they can get high they can cook out it's always some sort of self uh gratification with all of these idolatrous things that we were into so don't think that they was just serving them just because oh it's very out let me just go certain no they saw a reward in it and they decided to keep it going verse seven and he set a graven image in the grove that he had made in the house which of which the lord had said to david and to solomon his son in this house and in jerusalem have i chosen out of all the tribes of israel will i put my name forever neither will i make the feet of israel move any more out of the land which i gave to their fathers only if they will observe to do according to all that i have commanded them and according to all the law that my servant moses commanded them but they hearken not and manessa seduced them to do more evil than did the nations who the lord destroy the children of israel so the hittites the head bikes the parasites uh self-indulgence i like that they was doing wickedness so remember when we was coming out of egypt he said look the wickedness of the people of the land of canaan is reached into my ears and i'm going to destroy them out of the land and i'm going to give that land to you they said that hezekiah did more evil than them people that's how much wickedness hezekiah was he was doing much much evil all right verse 10 and the lord spake by his servants the prophet saying because monessen king of judah had done these abominations and had done wickedly above all that the amorites did which were before him and had made judah also to sin with his idols therefore thus saith the lord god of israel behold i am bringing such an evil upon jerusalem in judah that whosoever heareth of it both his ears shall tingle do you know he said the evil is going to be so bad that whoever hears of it your ears are gonna tingle now i don't know about y'all but i'm never in my life heard something so bad that my ears well i'm like i did i did because we was in iraq so i've just just to say i've never heard a rumor that bad that whoever heard it their ears start to tingle all right this this is some let's read on let's read them and i will stretch over jerusalem the line of samaria and the plummet of the house of ahab and i will wipe jerusalem as a man wiping a dish wiping it and turning it upside down so he said he's going to move the line of samaria because the border of samaria was here the border of judah was here let me see if i can get a map real quick oh there you go this is samaria right here and this is judah right here when you look at these things you see he said i'm he said i will stretch over jerusalem the line of samaria so he's going to move that border down meaning the assyrians are going to come jack y'all up to y'all are going to go into captivity too all right watch this go to isaiah chapter 5 verse 5. once again once again once again the prophets say the same thing just in different places because they were in the same time period isaiah chapter 5 verse 5 and now go to i will tell you what i will do to my vineyard i will take away the hedge thereof and it shall be eaten up and break down the wall thereof and it shall be tried down and i will lay it waste and it shall not be pruned nor dead but also there shall come up rise and thorns i will also command that the clouds rain no rain upon it so when he said that he is going to stretch the line over jerusalem back to us second kings 21-13 and i would stretch over jerusalem the line of samaria and the plummet of the house of ahab and i will wipe jerusalem as a man wipe at the dish wiping it and turning it upside down that goes into destruction of our cities just like he said in isaiah he's going to leave it desolate and waste verse 14 i will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies and they shall become a prey and a spoil unto their enemies now when you look at this you have to see it for what it is it said because we went into idolatry the lord was going to destroy us go to hosea 4 and 6 real quick hosea 4 and 6 remember hosea was prophesying around the same time as isaiah so he says the same thing just differently hosea chapter 4 verse 6 my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge because thou has rejected knowledge i will also reject thee that thou shalt be no priest to me seeing thy has forgotten the law of thy god and i will also forget thy children so we the knowledge is the law we rejected the laws of god so god rejected us just like he said he would do right here in this verse imma read uh 13 again second kings 21 13 and i will stretch over jerusalem the line of samaria and the plummet of the house of ahad and i will wipe jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish wiping it and turning it upside down and i will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies and they shall be a prey and a spoil unto their enemies go to uh isaiah 5 again go to isaiah 5 again it's going to say the same thing that hosea just said he's going to say the same thing that hosea just said isaiah chapter 5 verse 13 therefore my people are gone into captivity because they have no knowledge that's what he just said in hosea that's what he just said in jose the same exact thing my people are going into captivity my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge he said therefore my people are going into captivity because they have no knowledge and their honorable men are famished and their multitude dried up with thirst the honorable men of the kings look at the kings what the kings was doing the king at this time vanessa look what he was doing he was famous this dude was going into idolatry and all kind of wickedness therefore hale had enlarged herself and opened her mouth without measure we know hell in this context is talking about captivity therefore my people are going into captivity therefore hell have enlarged herself and have opened her mouth without measure and their glory and their multitude and their punk and and he that rejoice shall descend into it they going into captivity that's the same thing that he just said in second kings chapter 21 verse 13 and i will stretch over jerusalem the line of sumerian that's that hell have enlarged herself and uh and the plummet of the house of ahab and i will wipe jerusalem as a man wipe at the dish wiping it and turning it upside down so he's saying a lot right here and i will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies because they have done that which was evil in my sight and have provoked me to anger since the day their fathers came forth out of egypt even unto this day the lord is saying since we came out of egypt he's been upset since we came out of egypt think about that since we came out of egypt the lord has been dealing with our wickedness let me read it again because they have done that which is evil in my sight and have provoked me to anger since the day their fathers came forth out of egypt even unto this day so he's saying they provoked we've been provoking the lord since we came out of egypt hundreds of years later we still provoking the lord to anger when we first came out of egypt and moses went to the mount he comes down worshiping idols we go through kings these dudes worshiping idols you get a king that are cast down all the idols another wicked king comes back around he rears the idols back up again so he's like he's been putting up with this since we came out of egypt that's why a lot of times the lord wanted to destroy us that's why we got to be that's why people that don't believe in christ they're done they're done they're done when you look at what the lord felt about us he wanted to take us out a long time ago and the only reason why we not took out is because of christ and because of the promises that he made to abraham isaac and jacob 16 moreover manessa shed innocent blood very much till he had filled jerusalem from one end to the other beside his sin wherewith he made judah to sin in doing that which was evil in the sight of the lord now the rest of the acts of manessa and all that he did and his sin that he's saying are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of judah i just want to touch on something real quick go to a second chronicles chapter 33 second chronicles chapter 32 remember these are the same it's the same accounts told over and over because we read the prayer of manessa in the apocalypse right we read the prayer of the lesson in the apocalypse and uh those of y'all who have it flip to it real quick go to the prayer of vanessa especially you already got the red apocalypse like this i want you to see it says when he was holding captive in babylon the prayer of manessa king of judah when he was holding captive in babylon now israel didn't go into babylon right here israel didn't go into babylon until sometime later so how was it that manessa prayed while he was in babylon second chronicles 33. second chronicles 33 and we're going to go at verse 11. second chronicles chapter 33 verse 11. wherefore the lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of assyria which took manessa among the thorns and brought with brought him with fetters and carried him to babylon so remember like i was saying earlier when you reading the history babylon was babylon was not in power at this time but they were being taken over i just want to show y'all they were being tookened over by the assyrians they were being this is all of the providence of assyria and you see right over here babylonia that's it right here right here is babylonia and you can see manessa taken into captivity so there were assyrian kings that were over babylon at this time why because they were the powerhouse right now and when babylon takes over babylon just like uh go to uh judith go to judith i'm just showing y'all connections in history remember what history is it's it's it's a foretelling of events a past telling of events chapter 1 verse 1 in the 12th year of the reign of nebuchadnezzar who reigned in nineveh the great city in the days of arfax hill which reigned over the knees in equitank nineveh i mean uh nebuchadnezzar was the king of the assyrians he was the babylonian king of assyria why was he the king over assyria because they were taken over at that time babylon was the the powerhouse that was coming in and nebuchadnezzar was taken over different the same areas that assyria took over babylon took that over too they just came and wiped the syria out and came and took over this is the power struggle that you start to read all right especially after uh second kings 20 23 24 you get to we're starting to go on with the fall of assyria and the rise of babylon so when you go back to the second kings chapter 21 verse 17 and that second chronicles scripture was there just to show you that um manessa was carried away into babylon as a captain but not not um under the babylonian captivity he was carried away captive to the providence of babylon under the king of assyria all right verse 18. second kings second kings chapter 21 verse 18. and manessa slept with his fathers and was buried in the garden of his own house in the garden of user and ammon his son reigned in instead now remember it was judith chapter 1 verse 1 showed that nebuchadnezzar reigned in nineveh he was at that time the king of assyria why was he the king of assyria because babylon was taken over at that time he was taking over everything that assyria had so he was he was the king over that king over everything in jesus chapter one verse one um manessa prayed while in captivity in babylon because he got took away because of uh because of his sins and he repented and we read about that the prayer of manessa in the apocalypse all right second kings chapter 21 verse 19. ammon was 20 and two years old when he began to reign and he reigned two years in jerusalem and his mother's name was mashulimet the daughter of heroes of jackbah and he did that which was evil in the sight of the lord as his father monessa did and then all the ways of his father walked in and served the idols that his father serve and worshiped them and he forsook the lord god of his fathers and walked not in the way of the lord and the servants of amnon ammon conspired against him and slew the king in his own house and the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against the king ammo and the people of the land made josiah his son king in his stay now the rest of the acts of amnon which he did are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of judah and he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of yusuf and josiah his son reigned in his stage all right chapter 22 chapter 22. and trust me from from this point on it's going to switch you're going to see a power switch you're going to see a power switch now assyria is is in control but then later on you're going to start to see babylon start to take over all right you're going to see babylon start to take over because remember in in chapter 20 verse 18 of second kings he already said that everything in your house is going to get carried away it's going to be eunuchs that came straight from the prophet isaiah you read about that in isaiah chapter 39 so when we when we when we look over to history remember when one kingdom goes down another kingdom rises no two kingdoms share the same kingdom or the same dominion same thing with us christ is not going to share dominion with nobody we're going to take the kingdom that's why destruction has to come then the rebuilding of the kingdom all right so second kings chapter two i mean second kings chapter 22 verse one josiah was eight years old when he began to reign and he reigned thirty and one years in jerusalem and his mother's name was jedidiah the daughter of a dier of bosque and he did that which was right in the sight of the lord and walking all the way of david his father and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left and it came to pass in the 18th year of king josiah that the king sent shaphan the son of as a liar the son of mushulum described to the house of the lord saying go up to hilkiah the priests that he may take the sum of the silver which is brought to the house of the lord which keeper which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people and let them deliver it into the hand of the doors of the work that have the oversight of the house of the lord and let them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of the lord to repair the breaches of the house onto carpenters and builders and masons and to buy timber in hume stone to repair the house however there was no reckoning made with the money that was delivered into their hand because they dealt faithfully so when josiah came josiah josiah has to correct daniel did not have any children josiah has to basically rebuild and re-establish everything that manessa and ammon just destroyed remember they said that they was getting the money and bringing it to the doers of the world a lot of our people was working under these dudes and weren't even getting paid they was doing the work because they needed the work had to get done but guess what according to our law you you give the workman is worthy of his hire you give the man his hire you give that to him so josiah was making good on everything he was making sure that the people that were doing the work were getting paid all right verse eight and he'll kill the high priests set into shape and describe i have found the book of the law in the house of the lord and hilkiah gave the book to chapin and he read it imagine that imagine that manessa and ammon it was so wicked they lost the book of the law imagine that like yeah in cleaning up the house of the lord and repairing hey look what i found i found i found the book of the law i found the the the bible i found it because they did they wasn't living by it before that's how far gone we were as a people we didn't even pick the book of the law up remember the king was supposed to read the book of the law in the audience of all the people he's supposed to do that if you're doing all of that idolatry guess what you ain't keeping those commandments you ain't keeping no high holy days what what were we doing at that time we were straight up wicked following behind the king reading on and shape and describe came to the king and brought the king word again and said thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work and have the oversight of the house of the lord and shaphan the scribe showed the king saying hilkiah the priests had delivered me a book and shaphan read it before the king when it came to pass when the king heard the words of the book of the law he rent his clothes and the king commanded hilkiah i hike him the son of shaiphan and akbar the son of makaya and sheikhan described in a sahaya a servant of the king saying go ye inquire of the lord for me and for the people and for all judah concerning the words of this book that is found for great is the wrath of the lord that is kindled against us because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book to do according to all that is written concerning us i could bet when they read the book of the law josiah heard deuteronomy 28 it said man we in trouble we are in trouble man look hey call all the priests we need to repent we need we need we need some supplication going on up in here so he did that let's see let's see what happened so hilkiah the priests verse 14. so hikaya the priest and a haikem in akbar and and as a higher went to holder the prophetess the wife of shalom the son of tikvah the son of her house keeper of the wardrobe now she dwelt in jerusalem in the college and they communed with her remember there were women among us that were prophetesses and i'm pretty sure i'm quite sure she'd have to run around telling everybody she was a prophetesses you knew it because of her works verse 15 and she said unto them thus saith the lord god of israel tell the man that sent you to me thus saith the lord behold i will bring evil upon this place and upon the inhabitants thereof even all the words of the book which the king of judah had read because they have forsaken me and have burned incense unto other gods that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands therefore my wrath shall be kindled in this place and shall not be quenched but to the king of judah which sent you to inquire of the lord thus yah should say unto him thus saith the lord god of israel as touching the words which thou has heard because thine heart was tender and thou has humbled thyself before the lord when thou heard us did i speak against this place and against the inhabitants thereof that they should become a desolation and a curse and has rent thy clothes and wept before me i also have heard thee saith the lord behold therefore i will gather thee unto thy fathers and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which i will bring upon this place and they brought the king word again so because josiah was righteous and he he he rebuilt the temple or not rebuilt the temple but he uh fixed the temple up he's he found the book of the the law he he started to try to keep the commandments again because the leaders before him were not doing so he was he got found to have gotten mercy from the lord right then lord said look you're going to go to your brave peace but the words that i spoke against israel because of what they did that that's going to happen that's going to happen so uh that's that's it for the four chapters um does anybody have any questions concerning the four chapters not answering nothing that goes outside of these four chapters well i see we don't have a properties with this one i ain't gonna entertain that one yes the whole the whole bible is going through what we're going through now it's a repeat of everything that we're going through now from from the the from the captivity that we in to the stuff that we go through here and all of that along with that so while they always mention the mother sometimes they don't sometimes they don't mention the mother you know i i couldn't tell you why they sometimes mention the mother and sometimes they don't sometimes they mention the mother because the mama was wicked as hell sometimes i mentioned the mother because the sun was good so david was where sister cell david was where in these in these past four chapters that i read just now david was not the daily was long gone uh you say do they have did they do they become units before they have kids or do they become units at birth um when you go to matthew 19 12 it says there are some eunuchs which were born from their mother's womb and there are some which were made the eunuchs of men there be eunuchs which have made themselves units for the kingdom of heaven sakes he that is able to receive it let him receive it so um some people were uh born eunuch some people were made eunuchs so uh daniel and then were were made eunuchs after they were born they said that they were children they grew up in in the house of the king afterwards they were brought up in the house of the king as eunuchs i did not go over romans 3 today i went over second kings chapter 19 through 22. all right if there's no questions about second kings chapters through 19-22 the log off shalom muslim christ bless y'all enjoy the rest of your week tune in tomorrow where someone else will be going over chapters 23 24 25 and uh first chronicles chapter one all right so they're going to finish out of kings tomorrow and start in chronicles all right most high in christ bless you
