this is msjcam in this video I'll be looking at the electromagnetic spectrum the electromagnetic spectrum is the range of frequencies or wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation as we can see the electromagnetic spectrum is divided into regions from right to left we have radio waves microwaves infrared radiation visible light ultraviolet radiation X-rays and gamma rays in terms of their wavelength radio waves have the longest wavelength and gamma rays have the shortest wavelength in terms of frequency radio waves have a low frequency and gamma rays have a high frequency and in terms of energy radio waves are low energy and gamma rays are high energy so as we go from right to left the wavelength gets shorter and the energy and frequency both increase next we'll look at the visible region which has all the frequencies or wavelengths of visible light so starting with red light which has the longest wavelength the lowest frequency and the lowest energy and as we go from red to orange to Yellow to green to blue to Indigo and to Violet the wavelength gets shorter and the frequency and energy both increase so violet light is the highest energy the highest frequency and the shortest wavelength and red light is the lowest energy the lowest frequency and the longest wavelength
