Shalom and welcome to the next lesson in the ancient Hebrew pictograph and paleo Hebrew for kids series I want to give thanks to the Most High yahuwah and his son yahushua for this opportunity to teach his children about a true language which is Hebrew so let's get started today is the first lesson of our Hebrew word study in the Hebrew word study we will go over the modern Hebrew letters of a word we will trace the modern Hebrew letters back to the ancient Hebrew pictographs symbol and last we will decode words using the ancient Hebrew pictograph meaning today we'll be going over the word shabbat shalom' as the seventh day of the week where we are commanded to remember it and keep it set apart you can find this in Exodus or shamoto chapter 20 verses 8 through 11 here are the modern Hebrew letters for the word Shabbat we have the shin the bait and the towel now let's look at the corresponding pictographs symbols for these letters we have the sheen which is two front teeth which means eat consume press sharp and two we have bait which is a house which means house of yah 10th family temple inside and household unless we have the Tau which is a symbol of cross sticks which means mark sign covenant signal sacrifice and monument now when we look at the shin in the bed in Hebrew it actually forms a word which is Shoob this word means to turn or to return so when we put together the ancient Hebrew pictographs symbols and their meanings we get the following turn or return to the Covenant press to the tent of the Covenant and these are signs for us as yaws people but why is it important to us and why should we know this information an exodus chapter 31 verses 14 through 18 yeah tells Yashiro that the Shabbat is set apart and no work is to be done we are allowed to work the other six days of the week but the Shabbat is a special time for us to reconnect with abba yah because the Shabbat is a sign between yah and his people so it is important for us to remember and keep the Shabbat which is to return to the covenant the Covenant is a sign and suppress to the 10th of the covenant which is also a sign that we are his people we hope that you enjoy this word study until next time Shalom
