Subject: Use of Revolve Feature in Modeling

Introduction

  • Main Objective: To create a revolve component.
  • Initial Preparation: Create a center line and draft different parts.

Step 1: Revolve Basic Shape

  1. Create a Center Line:
    • Center Plane: Use the front plane.
    • Origin: Central point (middle).
  2. Dimension Setup:
    • Bottom part: 11
    • Top part: 12
    • Middle part: 9
    • Total length: 25 (center at 18)
    • Inner part: Diameter 10
  3. Use Revolve Feature:
    • Revolve the draft.

Step 2: Second Revolve Processes

  1. Create Center Line Again:
    • Reuse the previously set 18 points.
    • Create a new draft and use revolve.
  2. Dimension Setup:
    • Back part: 8.5
    • Diameter: 10
    • Total length: 12

Step 3: Internal Cutting

  1. Internal Cutting:
    • Set taper and angle.
    • Important Dimensions:
      • Angle: 59 degrees (half of 118 degrees)
      • Middle diameter: 5
      • Total length: 20.5
  2. Revolve Cut: Cut the entire sketch using revolve cut.

Step 4: External Cutting

  1. External Cutting:
    • Draw a new sketch (straight rectangle).
    • Dimension and revolve cut.
    • Create V shape with the same diameter intersection.

Step 5: Making Holes

  1. Hole Process:
    • Draw a rectangle with 3.5 width and 2 depth.
    • Use break cut.

Step 6: Chamfer

  1. Chamfer Process:
    • Apply chamfer on the front plane sketch.
    • Set various dimensions:
      • 1.5 (half), 7.5, 5, 4.5
