Sisterhood isn't just a bond, it's a promise of love, support, and belonging. In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming and uncertain, our sorority is a place of warmth and acceptance. Here, you will not just find friends, but a home away from home. Hi, I'm Haley Mosher. I'm from Marietta, Georgia, majoring in interior design and I'm the public relations vice president.
Hi, I'm Morgan Higgins. I'm from Chicago, Illinois. I'm a psychology pre-law major and I'm the recruitment chair. Hey y'all, my name is Ryan Brown. I'm from Carrollton, Georgia.
I'm an advertising major and I'm the president here at Gamify Beta. Here at Gamify Beta, we deeply value each individual member of our sorority. I've met so many different friends here from all across the country and their unique stories have made them who they are today.
Yeah, I would agree. After my almost four years in this chapter, I can confidently say that the heart of us lies in our sisterhood. I know I can walk anywhere across campus or walk into the house and just find some girls that make me feel like I'm at home.
You guys are my biggest cheerleaders when I have my successes, but also up with me in my most challenging times as well. I can't say enough how blessed I am to have you guys push me any better than I was the day before. I think we can all say Gemma Phi Beta is not just a place.
It's truly a bond that's unbreakable. We have such a sense of community and belonging here. I love it so much.
At Gemma Phi Beta, we believe in sisterhood. 397 South Milledge Avenue has become our home away from home. It is the place that has cultivated so many memories.
Whether it is a movie night in the TV room, Monday chapter dinner, or one of the various events held at the house, 397 South Milledge Avenue holds a special place in each member's heart. It is where we come to laugh, to cry, and to love. Although our house is cherished by all of our sisters, it's the people that truly make the place. With sisters from across the country, you can be sure to make unique connections and share diverse experiences.
As Gamma Phi Betas, we are there for each other, and we'll be there for you. It may be hard to envision while you are not physically with us today, but close your eyes and think about the memories that you will create within our walls. Whether you live 15 minutes away or 15 hours away, through the link that only Gamma Phi Betas can share, our house can become your home. Being at Gamma Phi Beta really helped me adapt to this new lifestyle. It was really hard leaving home and coming to college, but I found a lot of comfort in these girls that I met and I always have someone to rely on.
Growing up a Dawgs fan, going to all the games, I was really curious about who I'd be spending that time with here at UGA. But I'm so lucky and blessed to have these girls here at Gamma Phi Beta. Coming onto such a large campus, I was really excited to find somewhere that I could call home and a place that I felt I belonged. Whether it's studying at the MLC or traveling together, I feel like I found a place that I have people to always support me.
At Gamma Phi Beta, we believe in making memories that last a lifetime. Whether it's at our annual moon ball tournament on our front lawn, our big little scavenger hunt, cheering on the dogs in Sanford Stadium, sleepovers in the fratic, visiting one another in our hometowns, or just a walk to class, we always make the most out of the time we spend together. We embrace every opportunity to be with one another and carry our friendships beyond our college years. We celebrate Founders Day to honor our alumni and forever membership to Gamma Phi Beta.
At Gamma Phi Beta, we believe in strong girls. Our members volunteer as coaches for young girls in the Athens community as they train together for a 5K race. Through their coaching efforts, Gamma Phi Beta's sisters teach the girls the importance of self-love, confidence, and acceptance of themselves and others.
We aim to demonstrate that the strongest friendships are created when we are lifting each other up. These values are taught through a 12-week program where our coaches and girls are trained train together and participate in activities aimed to instill confidence and build character. At the end of the 12 weeks, Gamma Phi Beta gather in Atlanta to support and cheer on the girls as they run their 5K race. Seeing the impact we have on our own Athens community is one of the most meaningful parts of our philanthropy.
Our mentorship gives girls a place to be unapologetically themselves. Because that is what Gamma Phi Beta has given to us. We are strong girls building strong girls. We recently had our spring philanthropy event called Moonball.
It's a large volleyball tournament here in Arlon. And I got the opportunity to be on a team with other Gamma Phi Betas. It was such a great experience and it inspired me to apply for a Girls on the Run internship. It's been an amazing opportunity so far and I can't wait to learn more from it.
Coming from a running background, when I first got to the University of Georgia, I was super interested in finding local races and events to volunteer at in my community to get involved in running. And that's what inspired me to become a Girls on the Run coach and showing up to practice every day and just seeing the girls grow both as runners and just become more confident and determined was a super rewarding experience for me. In addition to our mentorship, we host several fundraising events to support our local chapter of Girls on the Run.
Our spring philanthropy event, Moonball, is a volleyball tournament hosted right on our front lawn. Teams and members of the community gather for a day of friendly competition. While teams and coaches compete, spectators can sit back and enjoy barbecue in the spring weather.
All of the proceeds of our events directly support our local chapter of Girls on the Run. Our fall philanthropy event, Jams on Millage, is an event that supports local bands while also raising money for Girls on the Run. It is such a fun time for members and friends to come together to listen to music and eat good food.
A variety of local vendors also come out to support our philanthropy and showcase their talents. At Gamma Phi Beta, we believe in making a difference in our community. Our involvement at UGA doesn't stop with Girls on the Run. Over the past year, Gamma Phi Betas have documented over 2,000 hours of community service and raised tens of thousands of dollars for several other organizations, including UGA Men's.
Miracle, Heroes, Relay for Life, the Pretty Brown Girl Foundation, the Northeast Georgia Food Bank, and beyond. Game of Five Betas actively promote participation in UGA organizations and volunteer opportunities, ensuring whatever your interest is, someone will be there to help you. Game of Phi Beta's leadership roles are active across a variety of UGA organizations, including the Honors College, Student Government Association, Orientation Leaders, Grady Ambassadors, Georgettes and Majorettes, the Arch Society, the Institute for Leadership Advancement, and many more.
College is a time where you can turn the page on a new chapter of life. Gamify Beta is here to help fill the next few chapters with memories and friendships that you will remember forever. At Gamify Beta, we believe in you.
