Spiritual Practices for a Seven-Day Challenge

I felt it was necessary for me to do a follow-up message to the last message I posted concerning God's instructions for the next seven days. Some of you, first of all, let me say everyone that is on this seven-day challenge, to God be the glory, to God be the glory. I knew the Lord had spoke that to my spirit.

It was so strong. It was so pressing. And I knew that this would resonate because Anytime God is in something, it hits, it strikes a chord with the body of Christ. It hits a nerve and we go into action.

Okay. So I just want to say that I am so excited for this next level that you are getting ready to enter into and God, you will not be sorry. You will not regret it.

I guarantee it. But I wanted to give some clarification to some of the things, some of the instructions because it. Although many of you, most of you, I should say, understood the instructions, I think there was some opportunity for clarification because some questions that arose in the comments just seemed like they needed a little bit more understanding on the instructions. So when I say secular, when I say stay away from secular music or secular... conversation or secular movies, that just means that's just another term for worldly.

Okay. Anything that's not glorifying God, anything that has a bunch of swearing in it, curse, you know, cursing scenes, sexual scenes, anything that is vulgar, anything that is not glorifying God, because you have to remember, we want to be taking in everything good, right? We want to be taking in all of what God, of what's pleasing to the Lord. Okay.

We want to deprive our bodies of anything that would grieve the Holy Spirit, okay? And so in order to do that, you need to be mindful of what you take in, what you look at, and what it is that you're listening to, okay? It is necessary that you are mindful of what you take in.

During this time, you are to be taking in everything that is edifying to the body. edifying Christ, okay? Edifying the Lord, everything that is going to exalt the Lord in your spirit, in your mind, you know, from what you hear to what it is that you watch, okay? So somebody else made a statement and said, well, what do I do if I work in a secular environment and everything around me is worldly music playing? Well, that is the reason why I said you need to stay in a constant mindset.

of prayer, a constant mindset of worship, because even though you're going to work and they may be playing worldly music, or you're going to have worldly people around you because you have to go to work. So this is not an attempt to alter your actual day-to-day living in terms of how you make your living and all of that. It's to get you focused on focusing on God. Okay. The entire, this process.

It's all about drawing you closer to the Lord. And so if you are in a work situation where everything around you is worldly and people are swearing and you can't do anything about that, but you can excuse yourself when you go to the restroom, when you go to your car, when you go on your lunch break, you can step away and just say, Lord, I thank you. Lord, I praise you.

Lord, I glorify your name. I magnify your name, Father. Lord, do a work in me. you're going to be mindful that your focus is God, okay? Another question that arose was, how do we ask, what do we pray if we can't ask God for anything? So when I say pray, I'm saying you're going to God and you're worshiping, okay?

You're pouring your worship and your praise upon his feet. You are literally going and... offering the sacrifice of your praise and the sacrifice of your worship unto God.

If you are going to ask the Lord for anything, let it be, Lord, draw me closer unto you. Lord, reveal yourself to me, Father God. Lord, open my eyes that I may see what you see, that I may hear what you hear.

God, open my ears. Lord, endow me with... a fresh anointing. Father God, pour down your spirit upon me.

Lord, bless me with wisdom that I do not have. So these are the sorts of things that you want to. ask and request.

The things that you are going to be requesting and asking God for are going to be things that still are focused and centered on him. Okay. So you're not going to say, Lord, bless me with this new house or please bless me with this new job or please bless me with a new car.

Those are self-gratifying things. Okay. And there's always time for that. Listen, we live in a world where that is what everything is about.

It's all about what I can get, how much of it. how much of it I can get and how often I can get it. This is you taking time to give God your praise, your worship, you know, honoring him with your body, honoring him with your thoughts, honoring him with what you look at, what you hear.

The things that you cannot help are things that you cannot help, but you can always be in a spirit of prayer, in a spirit of worship. And when you get on your knees, and I know for some of you, you said, well, I can't get on my knees. Well, God is going to honor you where you are. But for those of you who can, there is something that happens when you get on your knees before the father. And when you just raise your hands in worship and reverence and awe unto him.

Okay. There's something very, very humbling about that. And when you do that, you are going to find that you are going to feel a peace that you do not currently have. And the more that you do that over the course of the next seven days, God is going to begin to pour his spirit down on you.

What you have to understand is that you are trying to enter in to a place that you have not been. Maybe you have been there before. but maybe you haven't been there in a long time, but you're trying to enter into a place so that you can touch the hem of his garment so that you can literally see what it is that you need to see spiritually so that you can get on the path that you are not currently on. You need to be tweaked. You need to be adjusted, realigned so that you can be in God's perfect will.

This is not about getting some blessing of a house or some blessing of money. And I hope that none of you are thinking that. Yes, God is going to do something supernatural in your life, but your motive is also not hidden from God.

So if you are attempting to do this in an effort to get some major blessing, just know. that God knows your heart, okay? The blessing and the favor and the miracles and the signs and the wonders, when they come, they are merely the cherry on top. His presence is the gift. Opening your eyes and him allowing you to see, that is what you want.

I just wanted to come on here and clarify that for you. And I hope if there's anything else that I'm missing, please put it in the comment section. I plan on, okay, this is not a definite, I plan on going live tomorrow because I really would like for us to, I want to kind of go a little bit deeper into some things with scripture with you all and just sort of have a conversation as it relates to the next seven days, okay? Because I'm doing this as well. I'm in prayer, I'm in worship, and there is something that I need from God, even if it's just a touch.

Even if it's just a fresh anointing, even if it's just to know that I am where he needs me to be. Okay. So I love you on today.

Be blessed on today. God loves you so much more. And until next time, I'll see you soon.
