Tungkulin ng Guro sa Kurikulum

Yesterday, diniscuss natin yung 8 kinds of curriculum, yung wash later. So now, i-discuss naman natin kung ano nga ba yung teacher as a curricularist. Kapag sinabi natin, teacher is a curricularist, ibig sabihin, ang teacher na ito is well-versed. Ibig sabihin, knowledgeable about the curriculum.

He knows how to plan the curriculum, he knows how to implement, how to instruct, and how to evaluate the curriculum. So, Ang isang curricularist ay maraming responsibilities o roles na ginagampanan. And those are? So kapag ang isang teacher ay isa ng knower, initiator, writer, innovator, planner, implementer, and evaluator, ibig sabihin ay isa na siyang curricularist.

Hindi na siya novice o baguhan. Okay? Now let's discuss the first role of a teacher which is a knower.

Diba sinasabi nga na a teacher is a lifelong learner. So ibig sabihin, dapat alamin ng teacher kung ano yung konteksto ng mga subjects and content na ituturo niya sa mga bata. And take note, hindi niya lang dapat alam kung ano yung ituturo niya. Dapat meron siyang mastery. Now, paano manidevelop ng teacher yung kanyang mastery sa kanyang subject matter and content?

So madidevelop niya lang yan by acquiring academic knowledge. and pagpupursu ng CPD, and seminars. Napuntahan natin yung teacher as initiator.

Open-minded saan? So in cases na ang kurikulum ay recommended by experts like TESDA or DepEd or UNESCO, dapat daw ang teacher ay mayroong belief that the curriculum enhances learning.

Siya yung teacher na very positive and open-minded when it comes to changes. A teacher becomes a writer when he or she records knowledge of concepts, subject matter, or content. Nagiging isang writer din ang teacher kapag nagpapublish na siya ng books, ng mga modules, ng instructional guides, and other related teaching materials.

Dito naman sa innovator, nagiging innovator ang teacher if he fosters innovations and creativity as hallmarks of an effective and efficient teacher. Ang kurikulum natin is very dynamic. It always changes.

Lagi siyang nagbabago. Yung sinasabi natin, one size fits all, is not applicable in our kurikulum kasi ang istudyante ay diverse, right? So, kinakailangan ng isang teacher ay innovator, binabago niya yung kanyang teaching strategies, teaching styles, methodologies, and approaches depending on the needs and demands of his or her students.

Because the technology, the characteristics of the students, the personalities, the values, And the environment, they change. Kaya ang teacher, kinakailangan niyang sumabay sa changes na yun and become an innovator. A teacher is also considered a planner dahil siya ang primary responsible for daily, monthly, and yearly curriculum plan.

Kailangan, bago magplano ang isang teacher, i-take into considerations niya muna ang maraming factors. Yung materials, yung subject matter, and then yung intended learning outcomes o yung objectives. Now, a teacher becomes an implementer kapag binibigyan buhay na nila yung curriculum. They put it into action.

When the teacher is an implementer, he or she is expected to teach, guide, and and facilitate at the highest possible manner. For example, recently lang, di ba naglabas ang Department of Education ng memo about sa half-day classes because of extreme heat.

So, ang memo na yun ay recommended by the experts. So, it means, ang mag-i-implement naman nun ay ang mga teachers. Lastly, a teacher is an evaluator because they are checking, right?

They are assessing, they are judging the students. Specifically, they are checking if the intended learning outcome or the objective is achieved or not. Now, dito rin nila manalaman if the curriculum is working and effective.

And if not, magde-devise ang mga teachers ng intervention plans or preventive plans para ma-address yung problema or yung issue. So sila ay knower, initiator, writer, innovator, planner, implementer, and evaluator. Make sure na ma-share nyo ito dun sa mga September Lettakers and dun sa mga hindi pumasa last time para naman matulungan natin silang pumasa lahat.
