Okay, and we're back talking about Miraculous Ladybug Season 6. Sorry for the break between uploads, but I got sick after I went to see Gladiator, and it's been a journey. But, you know, it is what it is. I'll put it that way.
I'll be honest, I kind of expected that by this point we would have had some new episodes out. After all, with the release of the London special, I've been back in the Miraculous mood and figured we'd be able to keep the show's momentum going. Although now I've been seeing a lot of stuff that we might not be getting any episodes until next year, so, yeah, that kind of sucks. But I guess that's just how it goes sometimes, right?
In the meantime though, I suppose we just have to find things to keep us a little bit occupied. Luckily enough, a fair few days ago now, we got the title releases for all of the episodes of Season 6. So I figured we could go through those today, and see what we can piece together from them, as usually there's some sort of hint within the title itself as to what could happen or the themes of the episode. We'll just start in chronological order because that makes the most sense.
The first episode is titled Climatic Queen. Now I don't know about you, but whenever I hear a name that's vaguely involved with the weather, my mind immediately goes to Aurora. We have a new Hawk Moth, so that means I think we can see a lot of the older characters that have been akumatized before be akumatized again, but with a brand new villain look.
A new power set and design that more reflects this new Lila era of Miraculous. So I suspect that this will be Aurora. As for the story, actually don't think the story's going to do much here in regards to the villain.
This episode is going to be more about reintroducing the world and setting up the new aspects like their new school. The villain will be more of a background element to that I suspect. Like I said, I don't expect this to have much overall plot progression or big moments. Episode 1 has to be about resetting everything and getting ready to jump into the bigger episodes down the line. Next up we have Illustrator.
First up, my mind went to Nathaniel and him getting akumatized again, but the more I think about it the less sure I am about that. After all, we just had Marinette hand out the Miraculouses to the rest of the class permanently at the end of last season. Having them get akumatized again would be a weird choice after that, wouldn't it?
Instead, I now suspect we're going to be having some of the minor heroes teaming up with Ladybug and Cat Noir more often. It's a good opportunity to flesh out those characters and give the episode some variety. So I suspect that this episode will be Cat Noir, Ladybug, and Capra Kid going up against the eponymous villain. The villain probably does have some sort of connection to Nathaniel though.
Maybe a new character at their school? Maybe Nathaniel craps on his art. He's a bit rude sometimes. And he can have an arc across the episode, realizing he was being a bit of a dick. Not too sure, but it's obvious there's going to be some sort of art connection, and I think in that respect, Nathaniel will be involved.
We then have sublimation, which is the power of the rooster. Similarly to the previous episode, I think this will see Mark team up with the big two as their ally. It's a very generic title, so not much else you can really add, but I do have a suspicion that this might actually be a big early episode.
If you remember early on in Season 5 when Monarch had all the Miraculouses, he was particularly fixated on the Rooster because that one had the potential that seemed limitless. Only for the Kwami to then rattle off endless stipulations on its use and its power, not repeating other Miraculous abilities etc etc. You know, stuff that didn't really even make sense, but I'm not going to get dragged into that argument yet again. Regardless if I was Lila, I would think that she would take a particular interest in this one. It's been made clear she far exceeds Gabe's capabilities.
so she could definitely find uses for it. And unlike other episode names, it doesn't allude to an obvious akumatization. I think there's still going to be one, but there'll be a bigger game at play. From here we go to Daddy Cop.
While there's only one named cop character in the show, and he's Sabrina's dad, so Daddy Cop will probably be about him getting screwed over in some way, which leads him getting akumatized. He kind of has to be involved with Sabrina as well, because you wouldn't call him Daddy Cop, unless being a dad was part of his character motivation when he was akumatized. She's the only child that we know that he has, so maybe she breaks the rules and he gets upset. Maybe he's being overprotective.
I also feel like I remember hearing that Chloe's gonna return this season. I wouldn't be totally shocked if she turns up in this episode, honestly. That could definitely play a role in it too.
Obviously Miss Hound will team up here with Ladybug and Cat Noir in order to defeat him. Where Papa's. Hmm. Seems like a similar title to Where Dad, where Tom was going nuts when he felt like Cat Noir had broken his daughter's heart. So I suppose in keeping in that theme, there's a good chance it involves Tom once again, getting in his feelings about somebody potentially hurting Marinette.
Maybe chuck his dad in there too, as it is where papa's. So, plural fathers. Maybe there's some misunderstanding with Adrian.
Maybe Marinette gets in trouble thanks to some manipulations from Hawk Moth. Hell, it might have nothing to do with that, and it could be some completely different set of characters. We'll have to wait and see. Next, we have Sleeping Siren.
We know that Siren is that swimmer character on Dean. Her boyfriend is Kim. He's the monkey hero.
The plot feels very straightforward here. He'll probably piss her off because he's Kim and that's how he is, and the heroes team up to deacumatise her. Probably a water themed episode as well, which would be exciting with the new animation style I think.
I remember earlier episodes that heavily featured underwater segments, they just didn't look all that good. Here, they'll surely want to show it off a little bit right? El Toro de Piedra, I'm sorry for butchering that, the stone bull is a Up next. This one will surely involve Ivan, as he's the holder of the miraculous of the bull. Maybe he's akumatized, but I still think the season will mostly drift away from her classmates being akumatized in favor of having them drop in and out of the hero squad when needed.
Feels like a good way to keep the episodes and format fresh. Plus gives them a chance to further flesh out a bunch of the class, one at a time, whilst not having Marinette and Adrian take too much of a backseat. Anyway, Ivan's environmentalist, so maybe there's a bullfighter visiting Paris from Spain. Or southern France.
Maybe he's on a holiday or something, I don't know, and he gets met with an angry Ivan having a protest. That could be an idea. Then we come to Vampigami. Now I feel like this one's hinting at somewhat of a vampire inspired villain, right? Beyond that though, who even knows?
I've seen some talk that would involve Kagami, because they both have the army suffix, but so did Optigami, and so I think it's just coincidental. I don't really know how you'd have a vampire themed character, honestly. Their whole thing is drinking blood.
But I just don't think that include that kind of thing. The only way I could really see it involving Kagami as well is having it as like a Twilight parody. I feel like she was already getting romantic advice from reading manga, if I recall correctly, so I wouldn't totally put it past her to seek advice from a book series like Twilight or some other such crap.
Felix is in danger here. That would be a funny premise for sure. Maybe it'll just be some Joker character though who doesn't like garlic or something and they get akumatized because they eat some. I don't know, make it Chris or something.
Mr. Agreste is next. Well, the only Mr. Agreste we've previously known as Gabe, so I suspect there's an episode dealing with the aftermath of that, right? The lingering after effects of that storyline? I've always found that the episodes that just have a character name as the title are often huge story important episodes.
Felix, Gabriel Agreste, absolute classics. The only other option we know is that Adrian's grandparents are expected to make an appearance this season, right? Could this be an episode where Adrian's grandfather debuts?
It's possible, I suppose, but I'm not too sure. Wasn't Gabe's original name not even Agreste? It was Gabi Grisette.
So unless his dad changed his name to match his son's, I think it's unlikely. Next up we have the Dark Castle. It's a very unique name unlike most of what we see from Miraculous, so it could be anything really. Honestly, this season seems to have a lot of newer style titles for the episodes.
I do wonder what it could mean for the story. Is it moving away from the Monster of the Week format into something slightly different? Your guess is as good as mine. If we go the serious route, it could be the introduction of Adrian's grandparents from the UK.
They were aristocratic, right? And pretty abusive according to Felix's story. So that could explain the ominous title.
Bonus points if both the episodes Mr. Regressed and The Dark Castle introduced both sets of grandparents for Adrian. Or it could be something really silly, like a field trip to a castle. Gone wrong. Then we go to Revelator. Revelator makes me think of a revelation.
Probably something's going to be revealed in this episode. Maybe the truth about Gabe? But history dictates that this is a bit early for something like that. I know in the description of the season it says something along the lines of Our heroes are about to experience a school year full of emotions and revelations, so something has to be revealed. Maybe I'm just not giving the show enough credit.
It just feels like a big thing. I assume somebody will be akumatized to get the job done, but I have no idea who. Following that we have Reckless Driver.
I don't know, it seems to be what it says on the tin. I guess somebody's going to get a road ticket because they're a dangerous driver, and they'll get akumatized. Not every episode's going to be a big hitter.
Could be a cool down episode from some big plot progression too. Having rewatched Gigantitan recently, I have to say that sometimes these simple episodes can be a lot of fun though. Yuxi Gozen is up next, and I think this one's a bit more clear as to what it's going to involve.
Surely this one's going to be a fresh variant on the Kagami's mum gets akumatized storyline. I mean, the naming scheme to me ensures that this is the most likely scenario we're dealing with. I wonder if we're going to get a Lila and Tomoe team up at some point in the future. If they haven't from the beginning of the akumatization, I'm sure they'll tease it at the end of the episode. I wouldn't really put it past Tomoe to have some crazy technological gadget that can track where Lila's base is. purely from being akumatized, and then she just knocks on her door like Surprise bitch.
I bet you thought you'd seen the last of me. Then we have... Gren diaper? Diapers bring to mind a baby.
We're getting another baby episode? I mean I guess it could be an old person too, but that would be pretty bleak. Next we have The Ruler. Historically, these sorts of titles were reserved for old mate Andre, but he's no longer the mayor, so surely this is going to be an akumatization of Mayor Boustier, right? It'd be super interesting if the public wasn't completely fawning over whatever she does.
And she gets akumatized into an authoritarian figure to make the world a better place. Probably won't happen that way, but I still think it'll most likely follow her. It feels like this is the option that makes the most sense. After that, it's...
No. Noe? Noe? Who knows, really.
This one's impossible to decipher at this early stage, I think. At least for me. Since there's nothing to go on.
I reckon this might be the episode that was teased in the trailers. You know, with the crazy athletic mom and her daughter. May as well slot that one in here.
We then have a fairy goodnight. Once again, this one is not easy to decipher at this early stage. Could be anything really.
Has there been a fairy character before? I mean, Menonis the puppeteer had a wand, right? She flew around.
Maybe she'd be the villain? I have no basis for this, but I'm also getting- Christmas vibes with this title. I don't know why.
It would be an interesting premise though. The Dirtifiers are up next. Almost certainly has to be kids, right?
Kids who are dirty, make a mess, get in trouble. Maybe Alia's siblings. Maybe all of the kid characters we know.
Who knows? Maybe Alia's sisters and Chris to get the big four heroes to team up. That'd be a lot of fun, I think, actually. Very nostalgic. Next up, we have the Italian word for regeneration.
Why didn't I say the actual title? Because I don't need to make myself look like a bigger disaster by butchering a beautiful language, do I? Apparently this will be episode 150, so I kind of expected it to be a decently big one.
Isn't Lila slash Cerise supposed to be Italian? I assume it'll be something key there. For a double woozy, isn't Andre the Ice Cream Man also Italian? What I would give for that team up. The absolute state of the fandom, if that was the case.
Heart fixers next, maybe a Valentine's Day themed character. Somebody got rejected or saw somebody get heartbroken so they get akumatized to fix it. That's the best I got for now.
Although looking at the previous episode, I do wonder if this will be dealing with a big aftermath from some Lila shenanigans. Feelings are going to get hurt big time, it seems. Could be something.
Could be nothing. In case you haven't picked it up by this point, I'm a major flip-flopper of opinions and a fence-sitter. I have no idea what's going on, but we're just going to roll with it. Following that is the Chained Titans.
Hmm. Did they ever say that we'd go back to that alternate universe, the evil one? Because those Kwamis, specifically Tiki and Plagg, were pretty much little slaves, right?
As in, you couldn't use the wish because there was something blocking them from speaking. Chaining them. Kwamis are kind of like godly creatures.
So are Titans. I guess it fits...ish. Lady Chaos is next. Honestly, good chances is just gonna be any old character.
I've seen some discussion from folks who think it could be a Marinette Akumatization, but nah. I doubt it. That feels like a finale level event to me, and this is not the finale.
I also just had the thought that I reckon they will teach Marinette Mira Kung Fu, so that way she can never possibly be Akumatized. You might not want to hear it! But honestly, in lore, it's actually irresponsible that she hasn't learnt that as the Guardian.
God, they're so incompetent. No wonder their whole temple got destroyed. Sad Nancy feels like it'll be Alia's sister, so you can chuck Alia into the hero team for this episode.
Unless you want Carapace to get his rematch from the OG. I wonder why she'll be sad. Maybe she lost a big fight.
Maybe she feels like her little sister's outgrowing her influence. That might be a nice one, actually. Queen of the Dread Zone's up next. No idea, honestly. Although I have seen some people say, maybe a Chloe return episode.
That would be a classic title that fits with her scheme, if that was the case, but I hesitate to believe it. Although she does often have akumatizations with the word queen in it, so you never know. We then have Secret Protocol, which makes me think of Tomoe, honestly. She's still a big power player, and she would be the type of person to have a full-on Secret Protocol if you ask me, especially if you leave off Yaxi Gozen with some tease for her teaming up with Lila.
Confirming that right before the season finale would be pretty cool, I think. Nemesis is surely New Hawk Moth vs Ladybug Part 2. Rematch from their Battle in the London special. This one will be a bang on me thinks. There's a small part of me that thinks Chloe could make an appearance just because she's a contender for a nemesis.
Especially when you consider it in regards to Marinette. It just also couldn't make any sense here. And you don't want to detract from the big rivalry between Lila and Marinette.
I guess I just have PTSD from all the Chloe shoehorning they've done before. Ugh, finally done. That's all the episode titles with some attempts at figuring out how it's gonna play out.
A few ideas are a bit of a stretch at best. But I think some of them are genuinely good. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season, so if Gloop could hurry up and just compete with all the other studios like they like to do for views, that would be great. And so I will just remind you that these have all been my opinions, and I'd like to hear yours.
Any of these titles jump out at you and make you think of any theories or ideas? Any of mine you particularly agree or disagree with? I'm curious for your thoughts so make sure to like, comment and subscribe and let me know!
