Comparison of Staccato XC and Nighthawk Sand Hawk

Staccato features a fiber optic front sight with a blacked-out rear sight, while Nighthawk has a 24k gold front sight also paired with a blacked-out rear sight.

Staccato's magwell is large, plastic, and removable with aftermarket options. Nighthawk's magwell is smaller, designed better for carrying, and has a generous internal magwell.

Staccato comes with two 17-round mags and one 20-round mag, while Nighthawk comes with only two high-quality mags.

Pros: Best value, effective comp, aggressive front serrations, light trigger, good optic system, great grip texture, removable magwell, robust aftermarket. Cons: Trigger may be too light for some.

Staccato has a larger safety that may be better for smaller hands, while Nighthawk has a single safety that can be ambidextrous and requires slightly more pressure.

Pros: Beautiful design, one-gun-one-gunsmith quality, smooth feel, less felt recoil, good optic system, excellent trigger. Cons: Only two magazines, could use more serrations.

Staccato requires less pressure to rack and has aggressive front serrations, whereas Nighthawk requires more spring pressure and has fewer and less aggressive front serrations.

Staccato features a tool-less Dawson Precision recoil guide rod spring for easier disassembly, while Nighthawk requires a takedown tool.
