I think it's fair that I take a step back think to myself for a second and ask the question have I messed this up and the season hasn't even started yet so any of the predictions or analysis I've made this off season technically isn't even wrong but maybe some of these situations have changed maybe there's new information that we need to take into account now I'm not wrong on anybody as of yet but maybe I'll mess things up if I don't re-evaluate and change my thoughts on these guys [Music] here yo headliner Nation today's video I'm going to be taking a look at several players that I've had some question marks about this off season and really haven't been that high on them and we're going to evaluate whether or not I need to change my mind before it's too late and I mess up my takes on all these players what has changed for these guys what new information has developed that should allow us to start looking at them a little bit deeper and change our thought process that we've had so far and the first guy that I'm asking myself about is Alvin Kamar and I know Jake has been way higher on Kamar than I have this off season but maybe I do need to evaluate where Kamar currently stands right now his 80P is 47 overall and he's the RB 17 in drafts and honestly that's not all that bad but really the big kicker here for me is kendre Miller I'm a big fan of kendre Miller I do think he can be successful in the NFL but he's injured again and last year he was slowly worked back after suffering a knee injury in the college football playoff semifinals against Michigan so that hampered what he could do all offseason and even when he began training camp but New Orleans still used a third round pick on him but now he's hurt yet again and he hasn't been able to do a whole lot in training camp so far and even Dennis Allen has had some not so encouraging words about kendre Miller basically firing shot saying hey he needs to stay on the field if he wants to have a spot on this team so if kendre Miller ends up being out of the picture I'm not worried about Jamal Williams kendre Miller to me was the guy that would take the number two role and even threaten Alvin kamaro for some touches on the ground because Alvin kamaro the last couple of years has not been very good efficiency wise in fact his efficiency numbers continue to drop every single year he's in the NFL he's got a lot of touches and a lot of mileage and even though it feels like Kamar was just drafted he's been in the league for several years already so when we're taking a look at the mileage on him is it starting to catch up to him or is it just the fact that he didn't have Drew Brees the last couple couple of years but how many running backs in front of Alvin Kamar are we willing to move him up right now because there's still some really solid options in the rb2 range there are three guys that I feel like have just as many questions as Kamar but not nearly the track record when we take a look at a guy like James Cook he was good at times last season but it was up and down is going to be utilized more in the passing game this year is he going to be more consistent on the ground Kamar over him I don't think is that big of a question mark anymore what about a guy like Rashad white Rashad white is a guy that absolutely deserved all of the fantasy points he got last season but he got them based on his volume because when we talk about terrible efficiency he was even worse than Alvin Kamar David Canales isn't in Tampa Bay anymore will Rashad white really get all those touches is Bucky Irving going to see quite a few touches maybe Alvin Kamar should be over Rashad F and Devon achan I'm not drafting achan anywhere like I have no interest in drafting him is the rb10 that he currently is in ADP right now honestly I would be more than willing to give Alvin Kamar a shot over a Chan instead and just like we're questioning some of our offseason moves right now you typically question all of your inseason moves as well who are you going to pick up off the waiver wire how are you going to set your lineup what guy might be safer what guy may have a higher ceiling this week if you need help neighbors the player he was my wide receiver too in the draft and I told a lot of people he was a lot closer to Marvin Harrison Jr than what people thought and in fact was probably just as good as Marvin Harrison Jr but is he good enough to make even Daniel Jones look good at this point right now Malik neighbors is being drafted as the wide receiver 24 going 54th overall in fantasy football drafts and the only reason I haven't liked neighbors this season is because I just don't know if Daniel Jones is going to consistently get the football to him and when you watch the videos coming out of training camp it's like Daniel Jones can throw to only Malik neighbors if he t targets anybody else it's a horrible throw if he targets Malik neighbors it's not a great throw but neighbors can make it look good and while I have concerns about Malik neighbors consistency given the fact that Daniel Jones just hasn't been consistent as a passer in his career maybe we need to be focusing on Malik neighbor's volume and drafting him over some of the guys going ahead of him that aren't the true wide receiver one on their team because we know that not only is Malik Neighbors the number one receiver on his team but is he really fighting with anyone for targets he's by far the best player to get Targets in New York right now there are some guys going in front of him right now that maybe we need to question whether or not they're going to get enough targets to realistically finish higher than Malik neighbors Devonte Smith and DK metf both of them right in front of Malik neighbors but Devonte Smith has AJ Brown he has Dallas GD he has has potentially saquin Barkley DK metf has Jackson Smith njigba he has Tyler Lockett he has no a Fant do either of those guys have a path to targets that Malik neighbors does right now Stefon Diggs is the wide receiver 19 in drafts Nico Collins is the wide receiver 14 in drafts they still have tank Dell and they still have Dalton Schultz and they added Joe Mixon will either of those guys see more targets than Malik neighbors Jaylen waddle is always going to have Tyreek Hill in front of him and Jaylen waddle has been banged up quite a bit the last couple of years what about pukaa and Cooper cup both being drafted in front of Malik neighbors puka naua is banged up right now and we don't know when he's going to return so right now Cooper cup looks like a safe bet but what about in a few weeks when puka nakua is back and Cooper cup is maybe dealing with an injury and dealing with a loss of Target share Brandon iuk and Debo Samuel they still have George KD CH mcaffrey and they run the heck out of the football every single guy I just listed is splitting some sort of Target share with another wide receiver or more that are really good and they're in an offense that could end up spreading the ball around Malik neighbors is going to be the number one in his offense maybe we need to consider drafting him higher I don't think that you would be able to sell me on drafting Brock Bowers any higher than he currently is with his ADP of 103 overall and the tight endend 11 off the board now the reports out of training camp suggest that Brock Bowers is going to be a true allaround weapon for the Raiders offense playing tight end playing in the slot playing out wide there was a few videos of him getting some Ender rounds and even handoffs in the back field and while Brock Bowers on film looks like a legit talent you have to question whether or not it's just how he was utilized in the college landscape in a really good offense like Georgia compared to how he would be utilized at the NFL level with the Raiders and not only that but you have Devonte Adams who's the clear-cut number one and will lead this team in targets but is Brock Bowers easily set up to be the number two Target on this team jacobe Meyers was no slouch last season he's definitely going to be in the running to see the second most targets and what about Michael Mayer the draft pick out of Notre Dame last season he plays tight end is he going to play on the end line the entire time is he going to be asked to block more is he going to get targets is he going to run routes and what if the Raiders do decide to recommit to the Run game and you see a 5050 balanced offense now I don't believe in zamir white and he's not even included in this video because I haven't changed my mind on him and I haven't seen anything that leads me to change my mind on him but with Brock Bowers if we're seeing a 50% run share going to zamir white and whoever else Alexander Madison and then you see a 50% dedication to the pass game where you have Devonte Adams leading the team in targets where you have jacobe Meers potentially number two in targets where you're still going to get Michael Mayor getting targets that leaves some concern for me and do we feel like he's truly going to be in a better position than Kyle pittz because realistically Kyle pittz was viewed the same exact way Brock Bowers is viewed a freak athlete who is able to play all over the place in college and absolutely dominated opposing defenses but then when they were drafted they weren't really utilized like a tight end Kyle Pitts was moved to the outside he was moved to the slot he played a more traditional outside wide receiver role but during his rookie season when he put together over a thousand yards he had a veteran quarterback and Matt Ryan and he didn't have anybody really challenging him for targets Calvin Ridley only played five games they had guys like Russell Gage cordl Patterson even a guy like olid zakus how does that throwback name sound to you not only is Brock Bowers going to go through the same type of transition that Kyle pittz has struggled with so far in his career but he's not going to be the number one target this season and just given all the volume he's going to have to fight for it and Brock Bowers like I mentioned is a fantastic athlete but when he was at Georgia the reason he was so successful is because he really destroyed Zone coverage obviously at Georgia you've got really good weapons on the outside and you've got really good weapons in the slot Brock Bowers could just hang over the middle of the field find some open space in zone coverage get the ball and make a move after the catch at the NFL level he's going to find himself matched one-on-one with Defenders a lot more often and Defenders at the NFL level are way different than Defenders at the college level but when you take a look at the guys being drafted right in front of him do we feel like he's going to have a better year than like a David nooku is he going to have a better year than a jake Ferguson Evan Ingram is in front of him and even Kyle pittz you can make a case that yeah maybe Brock Bowers has a little bit more upside than a guy like Evan Ingram maybe he could be a little bit more consistent than a guy like David nooku but then when you take a look at a guy like Jake Ferguson and you take a look at a guy like Kyle pittz I just can't see myself going any higher than where Brock Bowers currently is given all the question marks that I have when it comes to the wide receiver position 1A and 1B Tyreek Hill and cidi lamb but there is a big question mark on the few guys that are just after that and Jamar Chase finds himself in those questions currently as the wide receiver four being drafted at 6.3 overall now before we talk about the wide receivers around Jamar Chase let's just talk about Jamar Chase himself should we be more worried about Joe Burrow's risk do we feel like he's going to be 100% and not just 100% but being able to lead a high-powered passing offense with no issues whatsoever we haven't seen it as of yet and I think we need to before we get too excited about what Jamar Chase could do this season and yeah Tyler Boyd is gone which could end up leading to more targets and how often is T Higgins realistically going to play we know he gets banged up from time to time and we don't know if he's going to push through it this year or he's going to sit a little bit longer than normal because he wants that new contract and he doesn't want to get hurt the Run game may even be a little bit of a question mark this year with no Joe Mixon we love Chase Brown here at the fantasy Headliners um not as nearly as high on Zach Moss but will the Run game be as consistent as it was with Joe Mixon if it's not are they going to be passing more for me it's hard to draft him any higher than wide receiver five currently already mentioned Tyreek Hill and CD lamb are at the very top there is no way that I am drafting Jamar Chase over I'm and ra St Brown St Brown is my wide receiver three right now and maybe the safest wide receiver in all of football even if he lacks some of the upside that Jamar Chase does Jamar Chase is going to win you some weeks but Aman R st Brown isn't going to lose you any weeks either yeah there's some question marks with Justin Jefferson at the quarterback position but JJ McCarthy and Sam darnold both have looked really good in training camp so far and I think they're going to be able to get the ball to Justin Jefferson consistently with no issues so even though we may flip back and forth on Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase I can't really see myself drafting any of the guys that are going after Jamar Chase so where I currently have him ranked I feel really good about I'll take Jamar Chase over an AJ brown but maybe we should talk a little bit about Garrett Wilson and Marvin and Harrison Jr both Elite Playmakers both the number one option in their offense both with veteran quarterbacks now Jamar Chase will still likely have more upside than either of these guys so if you're sitting in the middle of the first round and Jamar Chase is staring you in the face maybe you go with the upside of Jamar Chase but just know there's a couple of guys after him that may have a little bit of a safer floor now I never have said that I hate sequin Barkley but I feel like the way some people have commented this season they feel like I'm ranking sequin Barkley as like rb24 or something crazy like that my only concern with saquin Barkley all off season has been his ceiling not his floor but right now his ADP is 11.3 and he's the rb5 off the board ceiling wise that's where questions come into play cuz there's some running backs coming after him that may have a little bit of a high high ceiling we know Sequon Barkley is going to get plenty of carries and he's going to pick up plenty of rushing yards but how many rushing touchdowns are stolen by Jaylen Herz saquon Barkley gets 8 to 10 rushing touchdowns that's fine that's great that's a good number right there but if the number could have been 15 or 16 and Jaylen hert steals those that's where saquon Barkley loses a little bit of his upside also passing game work what's his path to targets when you have AJ Brown Devonte Smith Dallas GD that also get H as ceiling a little bit so while floor yeah absolutely on board with how safe saquin Barkley could be when we take a look at the running backs after him I think there's a little bit more upside that we could find jir Gibbs at rb6 Kiren Williams at rb7 Derrik Henry at rb9 Travis etn and rb8 all four of those guys have a path to really good volume and a safe floor but all four of those guys don't have some of the same question marks in front of them that saquan Barkley has meaning they could end up having a bigger upside and before you question jir Gibbs because he's not the number one running back on his team just remember in the back half of last season jir Gibbs was a top five running back and had multiple top three finishes at the second half of last season while David Montgomery was still a top 14 running back the entire way David Montgomery and jir Gibbs can absolutely work together just fine both of them will have solid floors jir Gibbs though because of his playmaking ability on the ground and through the air absolutely has more upside headliner Nation what about you are there a few guys out there that to begin the offseason you were like I just can't see myself drafting this guy or I think he's going way too high or I'm just not interested in him and now as we've progressed and into training camp have you changed your mind do you think there's a few guys that you should be re-evaluating a little bit let me know down in the comments below so we can figure out what other guys we may need to be questioning right now
