description let's begin welcome to the speaking section of the IELTS exam my name is Adrian and I will be your examiner for this part of the test the speaking has three parts I will give you instructions for each I'm recording this for clerical purposes this is candidate number 9582-7691 and examiner number five five four seven we are conducting this exam in Gujarat the time right now is 15 o'clock now we shall begin may I see your identification yes happily it's my passport that I used to register for this test please have a look what is your full name my given name is Arya and my son name is chaudry please just call me Arya okay Arya for part one I will ask you a couple of questions to get to know you better and some questions on a general topic where do you live I live in the state of Gujarat and its biggest city of Ahmedabad I live in a large apartment with my parents and younger sister do you work or study currently I am pursuing my studies in computer science I am enrolled in two-year diploma of computer science and I wish to study abroad afterward in the UK or the US let's talk about teachers who was your favorite teacher my technology class teacher Mr Desai in grade 12 is the one I like the most or so far she's the one who's pursue the field of computer science I really like the way she made learning fun every day where do you learn from teachers the most common place to learn from a teacher is a school especially in a classroom but nowadays it is also popular to learn from teachers online in a virtual classroom or even on YouTube I have been learning a lot of English online these days what is important to be a good teacher students and to effective learning Mr Sai was really good at these that's why I adore her when is a good time to ask a teacher a question the best occasion to ask a question from teacher is as soon as possible before the student forgets Mrs I let us ask question anytime during the lesson and this was much appreciated by all of my peers have you ever taught anyone uh yes I have I've been teaching a basic computer literacy to elderly uh like doing online banking and sending emails I have done this for the past couple of years if you could teach any subject what would it be given a chance to instruct a topic I would love to teach Advanced computer programming and data analysis because this is my future ambition and when I do my master I hope to have this opportunity as an assistant of my supervisor that is the end of part one we will now continue with part two for this in order to get high band scores in part one you have to make sure to pay attention to a lot of different strategies including giving clear answers explanations and examples to the questions most importantly the number one strategy to increase your band score is through paraphrasing this means to use the information in the questions and give the answers with your own words changing the words that you hear in the question to synonyms descriptive paraphrasings antonyms with negatives and expressions or grammar let me give you an example when the examiner asks Arya who is your favorite teacher Arya says the teacher I like most of all this is descriptive paraphrasing favorite and to like most of all is the same information said different ways paraphrasing increases arya's fluency lexical resource and will have one minute to read these you can take notes in the one minute if you wish you have some Note Paper there beside you and then you will have one to two minutes to speak I will tell you when to most successful family member that I know is my cousin neval he's the son of my mom's older brother and he lives in a Rajkot it is about four hours drive from my home I have known Neville since I was born because uh he's just eight years older than me and my family has spent much time together meeting up for celebrations and frequent visits throughout the years Nevada is successful not only financially but also physically and in his community he has made quite a bit of money in real estate uh selling residential and commercial buildings he is very kind to people around him and he is well me to pursue my ambitions and success is by setting an example often when I face a difficult situation I think a what would neval do and this really helped my attitude and success your time is up I
