Setup and Usage Instructions
Preparation
Remove protective cover
and place chair on the ground.
Engage brake
: Press down on foot pad.
Open chair
using the black handle.
Ensure the two
red locks
on the back are clicked into place.
Securing Passenger
Transfer person onto the seat as per emergency plan.
Fasten the support harness over their shoulders.
Rotate armrests down and open footrest.
Adjusting Handle
Open the two
red spring clips
to raise the handle.
Once raised, close the spring clips to lock handle in place.
Release brake mechanism by pushing up on foot pad.
Moving and Descending Stairs
Move chair to top of stairwell holding handle in pushing position.
Place foot on green track assembly bar to lever chair back.
Maneuver chair onto top two steps ensuring tracks are in contact with stairs.
Push handle towards feet for a smooth, controlled descent.
On landing, return chair to four wheels and maneuver to next stair flight.
Continue until ground floor and final exit are reached.
Storage Instructions
Fold footrest and armrests back into closed position.
Undo red spring clips on handle, lower the handle, and re-engage clips.
Close chair by releasing red locking mechanism on track.
Place chair back into storage and replace protective cover.
