Critique of Joe Piscopo's Comedy Special

[Music] and then there was the other one another one Oh luck luck from us what you find the trailer oh all right all right you know what I did before this you were a degenerate gambler before that I was a director fancy that we should wear gloves when we do this I haven't been in the business in ten years Jack Cosmo Cosmo I'm sorry is there something that you're trying to tell me I have in mind an idea for a show oh oh the threat come back [Music] it's like looking into the eyes of God you want me to write the direct original musical using deadbeats a criminal is that or is that not a succinct summation of the situation Kristin Thompson he owes us for 10 years ago this guy was huge ten years ago my wife didn't look like her mother had a cop it'll be helpful if we can get somebody in that Peter I've been it all works out in the end it was good I swear where's Burt Reynold's baman shown Burt Reynolds you think you would show him in the shower later now as a base the midgets hitting someone Kimberly oh the your dad is writing again good for him no that's much my dad isn't doing so great he's trying here it is yeah try again third fire okay he's really trying here it is welcome to showbiz kid Oh [Music] father and daughter getting back together again I guess they had a bad relationship huh and Paul Sorvino I'll see no Burt Reynolds no he's not in it how sweet they're showing that she'll be successful yes [Applause] they just showed you that it works [Music] you're right hilarious of the journey holy [ __ ] I am so douche chilled out here I can't like Jim was enjoying the Joe Piscopo feeding oh I was listening on the way in oh well made it very enjoyable yeah we found God he found the Showtime special that Anthony was watching at 1:00 a.m. in the morning that's why we brought this up today yeah it's it merits us discussing it because it's it's the worst thing I've ever seen yeah on on television in a comedy special especially it's it's so bad there's no irony to it it wasn't it wasn't Joe Piscopo like yeah I'm goofing around you know he seriously thinks he is now the leader of a band he doesn't do an impression of Sinatra he thinks he is not come on they showed him at the beginning of the special pull up in front of resorts in an Escalade and his license plate is it says Jersey born and Inasa Jersey it gets hot exactly exactly if you think that's badge and I've lived in Jersey my whole life I'm not you know yeah you know yeah just whatever this is where I live yeah yeah yeah he's got that Jersey pride well what do you want to do here I mean I know you want to listen to the rap he does but we're rapping we're ready for the rap scene to the rap how about we do this we'll do the rap then Danny will try to find another part of it it's worth playing we'll do all the [ __ ] in between yeah yeah right cuz I don't think we're gonna be able to leave the school let me guess he's gonna be a little off and it's rap because he's white it's not yeah it's not gonna be so polished she's gonna be a little grumpy because he's you know he's a white guy's he's not really sure how to rap and he's gonna start laughing as a self that's gonna be the Joe I haven't seen it I missed this part I woke up a little late oh you haven't seen them no I have not seen the rap part but somebody tweeted and said please God tell me you're watching Piscopo rap is there an intro to it I want to hear the intro to it or the lead-up to the right yeah yeah where's a little lead-up and this is from club Jessica pause video so let me publicly apologize to jay-z for doing that man because I haven't had a chance to talk with him since then cuz he's a cool cat chasing words of Run DMC I always loved from the incident and it wasn't did he just say Run DMC in that vein I say we do a little rap music right now cuz you look you look like a hip-hop come on [Music] girls are going to see but I know that you I do thank you brother son to wrap up around so killer people listen up a kind of check out me and the boys was on [Applause] I smell a bunch of funky honky so why [Applause] you don't like how we end then what if crosses arms crossed his arms and leaned backwards into the side a little bit he's doing a rap impression embarrass you early embarrass me diesel is probably like 86 87 right dude but it shows he's you know with it he's like don't think he really talked to Jay Z at some point yeah I was gonna sense but he tells stories during this whole thing about how he was hanging out with these people like he talks about James Brown and and he does Eddie Murphy's bit of James Brown where it's like you know and and heat says you know and then you know I became friends with James and and no you didn't never bet you did with them when we roll it from this point yeah that's yellow more this is right from here every little every tah every bit like walking the stage and rapping with the crowd giving him insight of what Joe is all about this is so [ __ ] bad multi-drug it's the worst thing I've ever seen well let's let's listen up to a little more words to it I tell you what I love you we need elect Eno's in the crowd tonight you Latinos all know that this will work great okay one guy yeah yeah do you guys remember that thought my favorite show on television ladies gentlemen with the music I love the Spanish music on the bass being like Tito sotto Gigante you guys hip to that show you know that show it's like you know that show right seventh oh he got a hosted by Don Francisco that's the bet it's on Univision it's on it's on every Saturday night for like 30 hours I know you know the job you know but you know what when you're getting dressed to go out you you're flicking through the Spanish Channel comes on it's on you come back to me who's watching this it really is not a great crowd it's a terrible set up the [ __ ] stage doesn't look good a bunch of white hairs in the audience [ __ ] in Spanish he's just a jack-of-all-trades genre dancing you know yeah [Music] my particular favorite risk its product placement met its product placement heaven you get sucked in by these great announcers it's always a problem and although I can be dunking doughnuts perfect English and they pick perfect Spanish I can't speak English like these guys no one could look at each other in the serology who's there but but he's making a good point yeah probably could only understand that an English word every once a while what's wrong with that it's a good observation yeah you're right off it's fantastic this reminds us when um me and Jim first start doing comedy you know maybe like 92 93 every headliner we rose the openers always had a rat bit it was a white guy and he did a goofy rapid and sometimes it'd be two guys on the show before us and they would fight over no I do I close with my rap bit no no basically the same thing is to run DMC I'm a white boy I don't know every closer would do that and then you know by like 94 they were like alright that's new that was hack by 94 right there we're not and he's 2012 he's [ __ ] doing it he looks uncomfortable to me yes the certain moments he's had like that just look on like there's a fake laughter point I just think he knows yeah crowd but he know he knows he was taping this so he got a good crowd right can we play a little more oh please it's all I wanna say I why do I see this is the the the thing I don't want to see it but I can't stop watching this should be the Patrice benefit you should just show this why I love [ __ ] [ __ ] you can't watch this [ __ ] huh cuz I don't you can but I can't look at anyone else in the room when I'm watching this there's some embarrassment factor here he's an original Mandy I never heard that bit before with the [ __ ] English words oh yes some original [ __ ] right there rates the whisk didn't even sell it anymore yeah thanks I really need sup dates on his [ __ ] references yeah she's gonna do a rapid maybe updates a mid nine months yeah you know [ __ ] alright let's let's hear a little more I'm sorry coca-cola you should say Crystal Pepsi make it seem like your head man you don't know what love on TV now more late night himself who David he turns around [Music] oh you see ladies going to piano is it is he getting some props yeah big teeth I bet oh it's in classes there he goes mark it down visual a bit on the radio you guys yeah see this [ __ ] he did it on SNL went over on SNL back in the 89 right but like he's walking out on a stage in 2012 with his David Letterman bit from 1980 [ __ ] three I think so many people are trying to watch and follow along with us have a few maybe you're right show times servers just can't handle sometimes got to be they're gonna be like this Piscopo guy is killing I know look at all the areas and he's doing all the facial tics and movements of Letterman who is that hey a little pull Schaefer Paul how are you tonight how you doing over there yes there is nothing that was that's it ladies gentlemen we have a all right now I just feel sorry for you I feel her over yes from our home office and echo you've crossed over oh yeah I now feel better you're just feeling sorry for him he's got to pay that's why top 10 ways to make Atlantic City more exciting the top 10 ways to make Atlantic City more exciting number 5 NASCAR races on the boardwalk yeah Jim flowers they just turn this out to Jimmy like you asked you looking for an answer black dealers must hit on 20 yeah and now you're talking now you're talking number 2 saltwater shooters okay yeah what's number one oh why number one top ten top five look whatever he's doing right but don't forget it's a hack joke this man Joe Piscopo top things tell me Atlantic City but more exciting more excited walk where the boardwalk David Letterman I will I will bet my $5.00 on but a few go but a few go but a few co as the number one I used to do that because obviously it's gonna be some outdated reference from like the 90s that he thinks is still relevant now so it's gotta be some mid-90s they used to say that I think it's gotta be a Jersey angle yeah over the top he might just go all saltwater taffy free something a little bit like that or something about Piscopo no Joe Piscopo well that would be we can all acknowledge that his letterman is [ __ ] spot-on right guys it's amazing it's uncanny he doesn't sound like Dave Letterman but he does sound like a guy named Letterman boys toward calbro with I guess I guess we'll find out what number one is bring back Miss America pageant as a steel cage death match competition Gophers a little wordy all right he got through the Letterman thing that's pretty good fall he does the last good oh and he throws the cards right yeah now here you go look at the crowd there's a [ __ ] biker net I tell you what they really are great and I'm honored to be on the same stage as these guys they could play any kind of music they can play any kind of music primarily jazz he again this is here's about the band because it's so self-indulgent he he plays everything throughout this special very mediocre he just picks up a guitar plays horrible like blues picks up a saxophone and you know he doesn't squeal a note but it's it's why don't we go backwards it's terrible then we don't have to worry now we do i you think is it our computer is now it's there it's on their side no a lot of people going there they really are great and you know they do country music pop music they're primarily jazz artists and they don't do classical or anything like that they don't look like what was what oh boy they do classic see they do classical Joe Oh Joe I was bringing out now the leader of the band has brought out a wand and he's they're doing a special yeah he should know she's good to keep this in the special why would you end this out from a comedy special you've what it's gonna get funny soon I think so is he doing oh this is where he grabs the flute I'm not kidding you it's so pretty there's no irony to this he grabs a flute and plays a [ __ ] know like for reals no it's not it's a shotgun I don't know look here he goes I'm not kidding [Music] there's no joke this is where I woke up finally comedy that you were still dreaming yes he's lost touch with reality this would be for reality this would be the funny farm in PBS [Music] yeah what are we doing yo you can get a choice does the flute thing well stay tuned for the best of Yanni this is laughs at having fun then then it goes back into play in the flow just wants to show everyone that he's really good at play Knight itself its don't work and he's like I said very mediocre and everything he's doing this he's not this [Music] [Applause] no as well chat at the piano with his shirt open tie untied - my mom thinks he's Sinatra from cystic that I take piano lesson because once you learn the piano yeah if you have any music inclination Episcopal wisdom other this is he seriously is playing or I think of my mom you know my mom and actually you don't have hardest to get me uncomfortable yes I'm really uncomfortable totally this is a weird feeling for me I'm never uncomfortable I know sounds like we're watching here he goes so what is he doing now this is the type of music his mom wanted him to play but I just want to show off we could do this yes what does this have to do with anything nothing this is the most chilling over this room go find this so now I each filling time now watch he goes that's what is mom wants my mom wanted me to play this this should be fun bring the hike over I think Lisa Mike on the stand yeah I know that's comfortable yeah he's a rebel he's a rebel there's gonna be a drink in here though I know it yeah no he's just gonna play the piano where's the joke this this is the joke we set up the joke where's the joke where's the punchline Romans believe me he will go to a saxophone he will go to a guitar don't he will go to the drums he I swear to god that's what this is Joe Piscopo kind of playing some [ __ ] [Music] now you got to hear them wait where's the joke why why would that be bad you play that your mom wouldn't get holy [ __ ] right all this when you play like William Tell or something in there something goofy wouldn't that be the bit it's like a dirty song yes I really wanted to do where's the review yeah happy now look write to a saxophone hey you got the saxophone I got saxophone you gotta have the shades that's good right yeah with pants on I wish she looks like JFK 14 that was a good uh you know he wasn't right on say that now he's gonna place an extremely mediocre saxophone this goes on and on and on what's he doing I don't know what what's the point horrifying the audience I said you didn't have the time to fill it I said a material for the time no because he didn't do it any material he's just doing this could you imagine being in that crowd and like being so delusional that you think you're gonna be seeing some Joe Piscopo comedy show a big Showtime special right yeah yeah yeah big showtime specials being taped in and this is what you get yeah but he's good at an instrument for 20 seconds yeah yeah he's like those beggars in the subway they can play one riff they learn one mono so it's absolutely alright now what Joe now what Joe I'll tell you what I love that Club Piscopo man this is gonna turn this into the whole blues joint here hold blue mentioned joint the bank got a one more good improv landing on same I bet every night you hear that at Club Piscopo I love that Club Piscopo man this is gonna turn this into a whole blues joint here hold blue I mentioned joint the band got excited hold on hold on I'll tell you I'll tell you what's been a joy playing with you through the years this guy's one of the greatest musician and I'd like to personally thank all the cat amber coming in playing with us today if I got a mic let's do a little duel back and forth let's smoke it baby please do a duel with the guns he can see the jazzy musician yes now he's gonna have a blues saxophone off with the other guy make tell the other guys like really good of course Jo stinks he's got to dumb it down for Jo how did you get back to sleep it's very difficult I know I felt like I was witness to some disaster which I was [Music] it's Joe Piscopo playing a saxophone a boy [Music] it sounds like a car horn his big joke was the joint line now I kill I want to do a special like this jariyah yeah Oh Jimmy and my manager trying to get me a Showtime special he doesn't nice Meyer [Applause] yeah didn't even Beck's is coming off they've been even June now thank you too funny all right it's gonna talk later one favorite part though yeah when I sit with them and do anything with them or that's at the piano okay with the saxophone I think that's what I absolutely enjoy the guys I was brought up in Bloomfield New Jersey and then we moved up the Bloomfield Avenue that's right that's the thoroughfare right outside of New Jersey Google Maps we settled in Newark and we tried to better ourselves as Americans you know learn the language learn the laws and you move up boom feel there so lesson from Joe oh here here's this James Brown stuff right strap in and strap the [ __ ] in if Pat Tommy Ryan I think Detroit went Philly oh good right but I remember you have a Newark went so I'm watching as a kid watching this on television it wasn't the social activist set of the piece it was certainly not the politicians that kept the Jojo you know what no James Brown oh [ __ ] James Brown do you remember James was involved in doing a concert and I remember they broadcast that and I'm watching that no James made a plea to everybody to settle down everybody stopped every Tuesday it was Jesus that would be a part of history [Laughter] James Brown spoke called for peace and the riots in Newark stopped because James Brown in Boston called for peace he called for peace and the riots stopped yeah I'm sure that happened I would like to hear this this is call yeah please please all right it's good stuff who's the music gets for the week they bring in James Brown I was talking about SNL yes I called my sister Carolyn you know like oh my brother Ritchie's good we're all like fans now if James man you know all these white guys fans or this great guy you know and we said hey James is on the show so they came down there and I got to tell you guys in studio 8h at 30 rock at SNL where no one another studio like James Brown not you too not the Rolling Stones it was James smoked it just blew down now when the music guest comes in you can't really get the hang with him you pause for one second point something out I'm gonna say it in 23 years of stand-up and that was not bad well to say this is the most uninteresting banter it's pure filler it's already set when we moved to Newark we had to learn the language now he's probably about like 60 65 so he in 1945 he needed to learn the language in the language I mean he even knew her Hitler would [ __ ] corny white [ __ ] right watch this is what you do here's a good cut in this hey you know it was great back in the 60s when I was a kid James Brown was influenced by him I love James Brown here he is yeah go right in there you know that you should leave up with well you know we mailbox technically the abelian dress yeah was actually moved up to Bloomfield and that's what people do I call my brother Bob and my sisters day yeah yeah way too much they've got right there he's trying to do this old-school like the well how Sinatra would get out there and and talk in between his songs that he thinks this is interesting banter the thing is that you you feel the vibe of the room oh uninterested no fun it feels like it's not like that he doesn't have them eating out of the palm of his hand oh god all those well you know we might get the big payoff let's say let's say all right maybe maybe it's a night they'll write the guest host who's with you all week long so watching this James Brown performance right don't get meet him yet we go to commercial I'm like right here James is on stage and I see him walk with entourage back to his dressing room when I stopped them I go follow him with my brother my sister we go back I get to music guest James Brad the doors closed and he had his hair all those glistening the sweat he had the cape on you ready Katie paints a picture Joe Piscopo is restaurant mr. brown Joe Piscopo my new cast member on Saturday Night Live what a thrill to meet you man James Brown said to me look me right in the eye said it's Eddie Murphy's bit by the way from SNL always just staring off nice to meet you - Jase do you know my dear friends I oppressed and my dear friends went on to become a friend he was in the 60s he was saying about the riots in the sixties and now is that a SNL wasn't on in the 60s now finally so many years later so he went from the new save the riots he stopped the rise to later at SNL so later at SNL and now they're friends and and and he he says he goes on I would become friends I would bet a lot of money never saw him again abso-fucking-lutely I would been a lot absolutely wanna be freshman he's gonna say like there was actually two states that I drove his corpse through commissioned me to [ __ ] love his torched of his body you got to go back a little so you could get the part where he talks about how he became friends there it is nice to meet you - jinx do you know my dear friends I am proud to stand before to tell you I went on to become a friend of the great James Brown not once did I ever understand one word he ever said it's a true story he was the friend I was gonna say the same thing James that's great that's amazing I had no idea but we were buddies man look at the distance there from the band anyone else notice that improv oh talking about improv right shot with me proposition New York nice when I first went to club is there in cycles clean he's done name-dropping [ __ ] come in and Rodney was there Rodney was there hey Joe how are you good to see you good to see it was Rodney man how much you miss Rodney did you how great was driving all right he was fine hold on a jam city folks 50 bucks I'll never be on my first joked around you had Rodney's safe hey I got a foster child overseas I sent him my picture now he sends me $10 a month Chucho for a kid right Arnold Schwarzenegger check it out I'm gonna cover a muscle fitness magazine be on the cover of muscle fitness magazine my ego was wow this is great you know sure I could do that he's under the career title of what was they thinking so I said no cuz he's not thinking didn't get it what happened nothing he's getting nothing can you pause this really quick because he really seems very uncomfortable to me and this seems like you know you is his does his mannerisms and his laugh said he's gone another yes it seems like a guy who knows he's having a bad set yeah absolutely and he's taped and he knows this is the special really knows he's having a bad set and he's doing these weird filler desperate things that it just feels like he's not comfortable but he's even his line when he said under the title what was he thinking he thought I was gonna get a big laugh it didn't so he just moved on real quick just covered that up but all you guys have bad sets with good material he doesn't have the good material he doesn't have any material that's what I understand he thinks he's having a bad set but the fact is it's it's a shitty show oh if I thought the SNL stories would be like enthralling and nobody really cares enough has been written about SNL he's always here he's banking on people remembering him from SNL and like that just the fact that he's up on stage that can carry him with nothing and I think you know they probably gave away a lot of tickets or people you know Oh Jill Pisco filming a Showtime special so two people had never seen this act before you know I've seen him in the last like 20 well go to it you know we're in Atlantic City we'll go and then they won't be like what is this and he's he's never felt this before he's he wanted to pack the room I want to attack the room with explosives I was thinking that before when he was playing the sax I didn't say it but I've never wanted to see a guy run on and just yell Allah Akbar suicide bombing Oh Jim's right papered if there's a lot of paper people there yeah and when you're doing a Vegas room this is how it feels like you're struggling to connect to own the room Oh does it feel like that was a mistake in showtimes part they should never film this [ __ ] and you know no I agree when you know you're not gonna get your actual fan but he's not do maybe he doesn't even have thing is he's not doing a special for Showtime and and like he didn't put this together for Showtime this is what he does at resorts he's got a show there got ya he's under contract so he feels comfortable and this was more pistols I mean all right let's see well this is where he does a lot of impressions around so the data's alive he was good boy terrific great and now as you think Rodney really wanted any improv enjoy it was his first time on stage Rodney no majora worked with Joel along just say rodney was there all right right Rodney was there yeah you know was a great uncomfortable moment when he's met James brand he goes hey look at me he looked me straight in the eye he backtracks since it looked me straight in it that's a timing thing that's like he looked me straight in the eye and said that's the wind up here comes throw the punch first he looked me wait he looked me straight in the eye [Music] can you see what I was like I couldn't we're still watching it I know we're two hours in dude I know and that's what it was last night when I win this I was captivated [ __ ] it I got to hear the Arnold impression oh it's it's [ __ ] great that was like the beef monsters you don't know speak like you know those big guys walk around say things like I just benchpress Rhode Island all right of course throws the guys with not one laugh I missed that joke sorry the Rhode Island City Agassiz at Arnold Schwarzenegger gym in Venice California that was like the beef monsters you know those big guys walk around say things like hi I just benchpress the Rhode Island oh of course throw ease the guys with little peepees so that's all guys on the other side different key fajita sides right you go to the gym you see this guy with his massive back he turns around like Oh Bruno is that all right buddy couple reps with that that I'll be impressed I'll tell you so you know francium I got a tank top on now I want to take it off because these guys are like beef monsters I look like pee-wee Herman compare these feet we get it you know we get it jobs not for an hour tacos the story he's uncomfortable Joe take your shirt off I go it's Arnold's gym man give me a break if you think my shirt goes back a fourth take your shirt off Joe we want to take a picture of you with your shirt off I go all right we suspect for Schwarzenegger I'll take my shirt off you take that shot real quick I'm putting it right back not Holmes I think my tank top off I suck in my gut I do this ridiculous pose at that very second Arnold Schwarzenegger himself walk here it comes it says Joe put your shirt back on [Music] you're embarrassing me Andrews got the last laugh now ladies and gentlemen in any way has the last laugh I think you're right yeah yes because he's delusional he does good impressions I mean anybody could do an Arnold like the Arnold is yeah yeah yeah why not and that was that was Arnold that should be he should be able to do that one [ __ ] seeing everything he expects to get a big laugh doesn't like the little lines in between his little peppering yes the peppering lines appearing you know you peppering the traps to keep the story all of his peppering lines are bombing after a while [ __ ] but this is not an impression do you think Arnold walk right in right at that second shirt off he did the pose and Arnold walk in and there he is and he comes up and he says here it is nobody but then it was Arnold Schwarzenegger himself walking himself there's little water yes yes just making this so not organic and he thought he'd tell some charming stories and just pepper little Joseph die pee-wee Herman I look like pee pee would sound funny yeah I got the big back I turn around well that that I'll be impressed through knows a good balance how do you do reps with your penis well that's what he said how it would that make it grow and he picked the name Bruno he thought that would be a funny name for like a musclehead little peppers head his pet the thing is he's just peppering along to the job that he's peppering in to try to because he wants to tell real stories but he figures that when he'll do to keep people laughing it's a pepper it with James and every every one of those little pepper jokes is dying an ugly death so then you just go a hundred miles an hour this bit is so long this story and I'm not getting any laughs out you're gonna get to the end yes I gotta say it this guy might kill himself someone has to say do you think yeah he might think it was a great special though oh my was that - like after watching this I'm in shock I'm laying on the couch let me tell you a little story true story the couch I started picturing in my head like what happened after this was over and he goes backstage did his peoples go like that was it man he's like worse God it feels so good to be out there and like like and it started making me feel bad of course that hair thing of what he has to go on with his life after this does he do one or two apartment I thinks he only did one show yeah and this was it any at the back huge savers match it was good yeah we choose that two shows oh [ __ ] done you think he's probably thinking yeah we will nail and wine but we'll fix it in post he should have fixed it in post ladies and gentlemen Rupert Pupkin but Jim's right he's talking a hundred miles an hour yeah yeah he senses that the energy is not he's not owning the rule not on these little these little jokes are not working pepper the pepper those are the ones that keep the story goes this thing's a home story together yeah yeah and I'm not a fan when they do this but why didn't Showtime [ __ ] squeeze some laughs in their little laugh track action I'll sweeten the audience a bit no it's an insult huh I think it would be an intake he demanded do not sweetened my [ __ ] out no I don't think so I begged them to and they should know is that we're neither let's go let's see if there's no impression get a little bit more I'm sorry [Music] especially if you're sitting next to your wife you can't at all you know oh I'm a live performer but I actually enjoy making movies and I've had the good fortune to making some fun film we shot wiseguys here here he goes now talking about years ago with Danny DeVito hundred years well bottle thank you mr. acavano Johnny dangerously shot some of those films had a ball doing those movies with Mike Keaton and I worked with Danny DeVito again the great Dan sick of his name the way he says that [ __ ] Mikey Johnny dangerously be shut so Danny Aykroyd all doing those movies with Mike Keaton and Adam Paul no one say Michael you sound like a there was one film I did where treat Williams and I play cops where'd that died and came back to life called dead heat and unfortunately that's what happened to the film it was he was expecting a huge laughs that was an example he was expecting though yes he worked out one not only to get a laugh but that was supposed to he was expecting it so he could just take a little pause get the laugh and he didn't he had this weird face like yes not just the left that was supposed to be one of the highlights show that would that was rolled back slightly that was a peppering joke yeah that was holding the story together right the treat Williams thing like he knows where the laughs are supposed to be yes and I feel tremendous empathy as a comic like I know what this feels like I've had a million of these sets where you're not bombing but you just had you're struggling and you can be struggling try it out this material this material is song I don't think this ever got a [ __ ] laugh I'm sorry I I know yeah I'm a struggling set and but your materials good you got the next night and it kills I don't think this [ __ ] will would ever kill in front of any crowd no it's it's self congratulatory old-school Mogollon [ __ ] it's not good let's let's let's help him out okay yeah cool heat and unfortunately that's what happened to the film wiping his eyes because he's laughing so hard that he's tearing up [Laughter] Mexico I was in Mexico can't go in America funding is add a dead heat it was like he's rubbing his he's like wiping his eyes like he's laughing so hard it's like oh quick we hear those again really quick without the last even though punching it up didn't help his act it's amazing the silence you know right I think I laugh I'm a live performer but I actually enjoy making movies and I had the we shot wiseguys here in resorts like a hundred years ago with Danny DeVito captain Lou albano thank you mr. acavano those films had a ball doing those movies with Mike Keaton and I worked with Danny DeVito again the great Danny DeVito and then there was one film I did where treat Williams and I play cop here comes word that died and came back to life called dead heat and unfortunately that's what happened to the film it was one of those things you want to go play internationally so you know I was like in Japan I swear to God the other customers no no no please that wasn't me it was somebody else Mexico I was in Mexico came cool depen marecus underrated a dead heat it was like a Sabbath Oriente you know it's can I ask the comics in the room you never you never want to say unbelievable after a punchline right no dead giveaway you're a sound and if you don't hear anything you have to use those words like it's the same as going to [ __ ] is crazy man think of crazy black comics will say some crazy [ __ ] going on white comics it unbelievable he's doing all these weird things and there's a comic you just understand exactly why he's doing them and that's what makes me feel bad for him like god this was fun now I just feel bad it was fun but not that giant that treat Williams joke bombing and they too bombed after it yeah but there's a Russian bad impressions the horrible Letterman impression the horrible Dangerfield Arnold point and even the James Brown no it's terrible those are all kind of easy impressions right you would maybe not a lot of Doc kind of [ __ ] what's he talking about now the band oh oh please oh no I'm getting a text for me a an Atlantic City police officer oh I can't get arrested this car [Laughter] is a show he's a good guy at work held a benefit for another cop and his big break was it kill Piscopo was the headliner and she went to the show this is the show she's saying so maybe it was actually this one she bought a ticket and she stopped in while working and said what how come people aren't laughing and some of the crowd asked me to lock up pistol from person me I'm sorry job see this battery in club history ball in Atlantic City what a bunch you know old people down there gambling a gogosi Joe Piscopo I remember him from you know since I live I know but this it should have just been in the claw like this shouldn't have been televised it's better friend that just work it out and a little in his love Atlantic City and make it but I think Showtime got lazy they should have [ __ ] put some laughs or taped a couple of shows you don't put it on Showtime guess where I shall wake up and watches and bring it to her hit you alright and dissected this is like that clip on YouTube where you watch The Big Bang Theory without the laugh track yeah but if you put the laugh track in you just assume it's a lot funnier you know what I mean they can help them out a little bit what I'm saying or I should have just yet I should have shot it again even though I know it's a lot in production all that stuff they should have done something where we're done to show I'm hoping this isn't to show splice together I'm putting my money on it saying it's one show I think so how many 10 oh Jesus plus the beginning must be King that will do another day close is coming up at Jesus I went back a little bit so you get up I just want to go away these guys sucks it sucks it [ __ ] sucks yeah I think we got a lot of people checking it out maybe which we might uh like I've seen a picture up they gonna sign him for another one of these christening oh here we go they're gonna see the views artists uh he's talking about the what happened there it is that's good yeah I don't wanna miss where are us that friend is talking about the great movie there's a video talking about video again it's just this big treat Williams Joe one of those things you want to go away matter of fact these films they'll die here and they'll play yeah Mexico I was in Mexico Cancun the pen marecus one that is add a dead heat it was like a sabotage I can tell you know unbelievable wanna go away oh my god these guys we're talking early our finest musicians unify here it's talking about it yeah they know all the charts and it's a true honor to play with these guys I gotta ask you at first do you like country music can you pause that one guy okay what was the what was the value in that away right do talking about the band going they're great guys it's right he doesn't mess yeah we assume Joe that they're great guys and they're good cause here's what it is because he's seen classic performers talk about their band but he's sitting there with a shirt opening the tie loose oh yeah yeah it's this cliche of what it's a bygone time I want to do it I want to do a special like this there yeah with a really bad band behind me look after a punch line there we go yeah I'll tell you what where's my Jersey contingency right there nice and loud man thank you nice and loud this one guy at one table thank you very much everyone about New Jersey because I don't care where you're from you should be proud that you're from the United States of America the greatest country on planet earth ugh John yeah it is you know what and you know and you know this we can't even get canned applause break in America you know of the American citizen I'm a I'm a registered Democrat but I actually watch and like Fox News so you figure it out I gotta be real I know I don't know why they let me on but I have a good time you know the death penalty I say yeah yeah for murderers for rapists and people who drive too slow in the left lane so anyway I want yeah you know what I'm say but I wrote a little song [ __ ] about the great state of New Jersey Jersey musical not a voice it's in general better crowd here we go because my dear friends my dear friends I'm just a Jersey boy that's my song thank you very much dang no no I enjoyed that I know unfortunately born and raised in the Garden State you take the turnpike to the Parkway West on 78 people asked chef like Z we're luckier limits the only place to be I don't care that nobody gets it when they asked me what acts it is Jersey's who to me what do you think is bandhas thinking here he goes well I trap the official pirate Jersey long and shiny black gold trim Landau roof it's a big black cat my music is Sinatra Pancho Villa's Springsteen Springsteen everyone knows that The Sopranos only make a Jersey boy born and raised in the Garden State you need to turn back to Holly you like it - hi Jill my favorite thing so far more about Jersey I've told some and then a few more about toxic landfills and oil spills and syringes on the shore about the truth about New Jersey funny Saturday for the guy he's left you know polish eating a Greek Pakistani agent Irish or black laughs a little church and he laughs a little spills New Jersey [Music] okay that no one gets it when they ask me New Jersey sold to me [Music] yeah this big big number about Jersey all right everyone okay with that what what reprise g-guys ladies and gentlemen there was one guy always admired rest his soul the great Johnny Cash did you take Johnny Cash oh no here's a little Johnny Cash impression you like Johnny Cash log Johnny Cash so he's alive we can't use that on the television special so what we have to do for you on television right now the gentleman is Johnny Cash sings public domain yeah I've been working on the railroad all the live long day it's you'd think it was Johnny Cash back to life just to pass the time away almost oh and he's laughs mighty laugh I'll give them an almost on this one it's very hard to early in the mall this guy who killed himself in San Francisco did a much better job cash yeah I wish they had something in common the trains gonna hit you just so I can watch your die his laugh but it wasn't a big laugh there was nothing he can hardly contain the laughter to be able to sing he's trying to just sell it yes and his shadow on the back wall is horrendous your mama's boyfriend just so you can watch him die [Music] one more one more he's yelling one more every bottles of beer on the wall 100 bottles of beer you take one down and pass it around I was never good at math because my daddy passed away when I was a young boy so I killed my teacher just so I could watch oh my god he pointed the audience to make them say it and one guy one guy said one guy halfway said it probably another and then we've got to reiterate what the bit was you guys know you guys agree oh they're not he hates them guys hates them I'll work and stiff here we go sweat I'm just always paperwork I'm working in a team's all I've ever wanted to do and always great for the Lorne Michaels and that holds legacy Lorne Michaels always game talk I'm here so you could always work that's all I ever wanted to do man just just be a the working stiff that I am right now famous star uh I ain't no star just regular guy wait that was the end did they cut they cut away and they cut to them already standing so the producers so there was a producer that he was getting a standing yes yes Joe without and or just no good person but what was the closing bit I like being a working stiff I'm just a working stiff just a Rick I ain't no star was terrible horrible there's still some time maybe he gets maybe as he's wrapping up there's like but that was like a smash cut of the audience stand that's terrible listening terrible well terrible found ya now he plays the jumps over the credits this is Vig closer is the band who edited this make sure they never worked on any other projects there he goes those drums all right over this want to say that jim Florentine is gonna be at Brendan Monson she's actually a great editor really I know she's special she's Brenda Brenda Brenda is [ __ ] amazing I couldn't even save this then he is a [ __ ] artist no then it says a lot she didn't know what the wow she did her best I watched her work like I couldn't believe how [ __ ] good she was holy [ __ ] hey I think I know who did my special oh my god why don't you get why don't you get a hold of one and ask what what was the thought behind this Jimmy well I bet he was demanding I bet you he want you know demanded some [ __ ] not enough pepper day July and I cut out it can we go to the [Music] Oh Oh what I want to go to the very beginning just first that we have to watch it I want to see if it's the same guys that did my special because I honestly they're actually really good and when I was making fun of the editing it's like she's great so she couldn't fix this well there weren't a lot of edits there weren't a lot of edits but when they can when they went and went back damn talking yeah yeah I think you know his closing bid obviously probably didn't go over it so that cut to him being you know a working stiff right cut back good night and everybody standing cuz the audience coordinator said get up you know whatever so everybody stood up show with a drum solo well the Johnny Cash was to be well he should have really close he really should have closed with the jersey song oh no I mean seriously that would have been okay that would have been okay cuz he's from Jersey and yeah like that should have been the ending bed goodnight and senator Johnny Cash thing what's he doing that daddy can't see it I thought what's that it's just playing the drums he's just showing off then he's he says thank you find it good it'll a bunch of instruments yeah that's pretty much it that might not you oh they're all stand cut it off that's that but I said guys it did my no kidding Florentines gonna be at the brokerage
