Notes on Writing an Annotated Bibliography (APA 7th Edition)

Introduction

Definition:
- Annotated Bibliography = Notes on each source in a reference list
- Annotate: to provide notes
- Bibliography: a list of references in academic work
Purpose:
- Assess and organize research thoroughly

Title Page:
- Same format as any APA paper
- Page number in upper right corner, title centered and bolded
First page break for bibliography:
- Copy and paste the title with proper formatting
Structure:
- Full reference list entry followed by the annotation

Location:
- Comes after the research paper
- Similar formatting to a reference list but with annotations
Title for the page:
- Bold, centered, titled "Annotated Bibliography"
Hanging Indent:
- Adjust left indent to half inch for references
- Ensure annotations start at the half inch mark

- Mix of summarizing (70%) and evaluating (30%)
