Permission Sets Overview

Creating a Permission Set

  1. Initial Steps

    • Navigate to Permission Sets in Setup
    • Click on 'New'
    • Enter a Label (e.g. 'New')
    • Session activation requirement option
    • Select License Type (e.g. Chatter Free, Partner User, Sales User, etc.)
    • Click 'Save'
  2. Key Elements of Permission Sets

    • Assigned Apps: Assign apps (e.g. Sales Console) based on the permission set
    • Assigned Connected Apps: Similar to Assigned Apps
    • Object Settings: Major area for permissions
      • Configure access for objects like 'Cases'
      • Set Tab Visibility
      • Define Object Permissions (Read, Edit, Create, Delete)
