Location of Ultrafiltration

  • Occurs in the Malpighian body (part of the nephron)

Structure of Malpighian Body

Glomerulus

    • Maintains high blood pressure
  • Efferent arteriole: Takes blood away from the glomerulus (narrower)

Filtration Process

    1. Endothelium: Thin capillary lining
