Using Adjectives ~/
- Sentences must end with a verb or adjective.
- Verbs/Adjectives end with the syllable ~λ€.
- Adjectives can describe nouns or predicate sentences.
- To describe nouns, remove ~λ€ and add ~γ΄/μ.
- If stem ends in a vowel, add ~γ΄.
- If stem ends in a consonant, add ~μ.
- Examples:
- I want a big boat: ν° λ°°λ₯Ό μνλ€ (correct form)
- The food is expensive: μμμ΄ λΉμΈλ€
- Expensive food: λΉμΌ μμ
- Adjectives such as λ§μλ€ (delicious) and μ¬λ―Έμλ€ (funny/fun) use ~λ instead of ~γ΄/μ due to a grammatical exception.
To Be Many Of ~
- λ§λ€ is used to indicate a large quantity.
- When used to describe a noun: λ§μ΄ μμ (a lot of food).
- When used to predicate a sentence: μμμ΄ λ§λ€ (there is a lot of food).
Particle ~λ
- ~λ means also/too.
- Replaces subject (/μ΄/κ°) or object (/μ/λ₯Ό) particles depending on context.
- Examples:
- I speak Korean as well: μ λ νκ΅μ΄λ₯Ό λ§νλ€
- I eat apples too: λλ μ¬κ³Όλ₯Ό λ¨Ήλ€ (emphasizing the speaker), μ¬κ³Όλ λ¨Ήλ€ (emphasizing the object).
