Unraveling the Myth of Biblical Giants

shalawam Israel it's kazaan and in this video I want to go into the origin of the Giants that lived After the flood I'm doing this video because people have been asking me to explain where the Giants After the flood came from now if you watch my videos you know that I teach that the Giants were just regular men and that they were not supernatural beings but many people don't agree so in this video I want to go into the scriptures and show you that the genealogies or origins of the Giants After the flood are in the Bible so here we go now we know that the flood came in Genesis 7 and destroyed everything and everybody except for Noah and his family so let's start at Genesis 8:15 when the flood was over and no and his family came out of the Ark here it is Genesis 8:15 and the most high spake unto Noah saying go forth of the Ark thou and thy wife and thy sons and thy Sons wives with thee so we see that Noah his wife his three sons and their wives came out of the Ark now who were the sons of Noah that came out of the Ark Genesis 9 and18 and the sons of Noah that went forth of the Ark were Shem and ham and jepet and ham is the father of Canaan now watch this verse 19 it says these are the three sons of Noah and of them was the whole Earth overspread so according to the Bible every body that existed on the earth After the flood came from either Shem ham or jepet this is very clear let me read it again it says these are the three sons of Noah and of them was the whole Earth overspread so we shouldn't even entertain the idea that the Giants After the flood came from anywhere else other than shim ham or Jeet this is cut and dry according to the Bible so now that we have the foundational truth that the whole earth was overspread by these three men let's go into the scriptures and see which one of these three men that the Giants came from now one of the most known giants in the Bible is Goliath so let's start with him look at this first Samuel 17-23 it says and as he talked with them behold there came up the champion the Philistine of gath Goliath by name now here we see the scripture clearly says that Goliath was a Philistine in fact Goliath told us himself that he was a Philistine here it is 1 Samuel 17 and8 and he stood and Cried unto the armies of Israel and said unto them why are you come out to set your battle in Array am not I a Philistine so we see clearly that Goliath was a Philistine now where do the Philistines come from let's go to the Book of Genesis and look at the genealogy here it is Genesis 10 verse 6 and the sons of ham Kush and mitam and foot and Canaan so we see that one of Ham's sons was mam now let's go down to verse 13 and look at M Ram's Sons here it is verse 13 and M ryam begat ludum and anim and leab and Naim verse 14 and pusam and cim out of whom came philistin so we see that M ryam had a son named casam and out of CASL him came a people called philistin now philistin is the same word as Philistines watch this this is the same genealogy from Genesis 10:14 written in 1st Chronicles 1:12 I'll put it right under it so you can see it 1st Chronicles 1 and12 and path Rome and cim of whom came the Philistines see that it's the same genealogy so now we know that the Philistines came through the lineage of M Rim who was the son of ham ham had M RAM and M Ram had casim and klim's descendants became known as the Philistines Goliath was a Philistine this is where he came from so as you can see Goliath the giant was just a normal man there was nothing Supernatural about his origin at all now let's move on to a another well-known Giant in the Bible here we go Deuteronomy 447 and they possess his land land and the land of a king of Bashan two kings of the amorites which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising now here is a from the concordance it says a and it means long necked number one the Amorite king of Bashan and one of the last representatives of the the Giants of Rafi now we see that OG was an Amorite and a giant now let's see where the amorites came from look at this Genesis 10: 15 it says and Canaan begat sidon his first born and Heth verse 16 and the jebusite and the Amorite so we see that the amorites came from the lineage of the man Canan who was the son of ham the amorites were normal men but when we read the scriptures we see that the amorites were a race of giants Amos 2 and9 it says yet destroyed I the Amorite before them look at this it says whose height was like the height of the Cedars see the amorites were a very tall people but they wasn't actually the size of cedar trees this is just symbolism to point out that they were a very tall people remember we just looked at their genealogy we know that they came from a normal man named Kanan who was the son of a normal man named ham and ham was the son of Noah so these were not people the size of actual trees it's just symbolism a was an Amorite Giant and according to the scriptures he was about 12T tall but again as you can see there was nothing Supernatural about his origin he was a regular man now before we move on let me show you how to figure out a person's height based on the measurements given in the Bible so that you can see how to check this for yourself look at this Deuteronomy 3 and 11 it says for only a king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants behold his bedstead was a bedstead of ir iron is it not in RBA of the children of Ammon nine cubits was the lymph thereof and four cubits the bread of it so we see that A's bed was measured by cubits but what kind of Cubit it says after the Cubit of a man see the Cubit of a man is the most common Cubit used to measure things especially a man's height so let's look up this word cubit in the Blue Letter Bible here it is it says number one cubit a measure of distance the forearm here it is on the screen the forearm meaning the distance from your elbow to your fingertips that's your forearm it says roughly 18 in it says there are several cubits used in the Old Testament right but we're dealing with the measurement of men so we want the Cubit of a man it says the Cubit of a man or common Cubit and it gives us Deuteronomy 3:11 now Deuteronomy 3:1 refers to the Cubit of a man and we know that a cubit was based on the me measurement of a man's forearm which is roughly 18 in so we can safely say that the Cubit of a man is 18 in now on the screen you see a cubic conversion chart that I made and as we read earlier 1 Cubit is equal to 18 in now to make it easy we'll write it as 1 Cubit = 1 ft and 6 in why because 18 in broken down is 12 in which is one foot and then you would have 6 in left over so 1 Cubit is equal to 1T and 6 in now you also have a measurement in the Bible called a span one span equals 9 in because a span is half of a cubid here it is in the Blue Letter Bible it says number one span a unit of measure approximately half a cubit so we see that a span is half of a cubit 9 in Long now it's important that you see and understand those measurements because I want to show you how the word giant is used in the Bible the giants in the Bible were not called Giants because they were really the size of trees they were called Giants in height in comparison to the height of the Israelites at that time for example when you look at this picture of Shaq next to Alan Iverson Shaq is a giant compared to Allan Iverson now Allan Iverson is 6 feet tall as you can see he's the height of the average man today but Shaq is 7 1 in tall so compared to Allan Iverson Shaq is a giant but we see clearly that Shaq is not the same height as a cedar tree he's a giant in comparison to the height of Allan Iverson now this is a picture of Yao Ming a Chinese basketball player standing next to Shaq now Shaq is 7 1 in tall but Yao Ming is 7' 6 in tall so here's a question if these men lived back in the Bible days would they have been considered Giants let's see 1st Chronicles 11 and22 it says bah the son of jeho this was an Israelite it says the son of a valiant man of cabil who had done many acts he slew two lionlike men of Moab also he went down and slew a lion in a pit in a snowy day now watch this verse 23 and he slew an Egyptian a man of great stature five cubits High whenever the Bible uses the phrase great stature is referring to a giant the word stature means height when you see great stature that means great height in other words a giant now that we have the cubic conversion chart we can find out how tall this Egyptian man of great stature was the scripture says he was five cubits high so let's do the conversion here it is now remember one cubit equals 1T and 6 in now this Egyptian man was 5 cubits high so we have one cubit 2 cubits 3 cubits 4 cubits 5 cubits now let's break each Cubit down into 1T 6 in now when we add the feet up we get 1 2 3 4 5 feet now let's add up the inches 6 in plus another 6 in equal 1 ft and again 6 in plus another 6 in = 1 ft now let's add up all the feet 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ft but notice we still have the 6 in left over so when we add that 6 in to the 7 ft we get 7t and 6 in so this Egyptian man of great stature was 7 6 in tall that's only 5 in taller than Shaq but it's the exact same height as ya Ming so Shaq and Yao Ming would have been considered Giants back in the Bible days because of their great stature see the average Israelite was nowhere near that height look at 1st Chronicles 11:23 again it says and he slew an Egyptian a man of great stature five cubits High which we know now is 7 ft 6 in tall this man was a giant watch this it says and in the Egyptian's hand was a spare like a Weaver's beam now who were the people in the scriptures known for fighting with spares like a Weaver's beam it wasn't the Israelites who was it look at this 1 Samuel 17:4 and there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of gath whose height was six cubits and a span we'll break his height down a little later but look at this ver verse 7 it says and the staff of his spare was like a Weaver's beam now we know that Goliath was a giant so we see that it was the giants in the Bible that fought with spares like a Weaver's Beam not the Israelites why because these Weaver beam spares were bigger and heavier than the average weapon it says and his spar's head weighed 600 shekels of iron I'm not going to do a conversion for this for time purposes but when you do the research you'll find out that the iron tip of this spare weighed about 18 lb and the whole spare itself weighed about 37 lb so the Egyption man of great stature in 1st Chronicles 11-23 he had the same type of weapon that Goliath the giant had why because the Egyptian man of great stature was a giant also but we know already that he was only 76 in tall so when the Bible says that a giant was the height of a cedar tree it doesn't actually mean the person was the height of an actual tree I have to keep saying this because people are not getting it it's just symbolism to point out that the person was very tall in comparison to the Israelites now why was that Egyptian man so tall well as we saw already ham carried a Jee that could produce Giants and the Egyptians come from the lineage of ham here it is Genesis 10 verse 6 and the sons of ham Kush and M Ram now when you look up the word misam you see that it's the Egyptians so this particular Egyptian man grew to very tall because ham carried that genan now since we looked at Goliath earlier let's break his height down just to make a point look at this 1st Samuel 17-4 again and there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of gath whose height was six cubits and a span so let's do the conversion here it is remember 1 Cubit equal 1T and 6 in Goliath was six cubits and a span so let's break down the cubits first so we have one cubit 2 cubits 3 cubits 4 cubits 5 cubits 6 cubits now let's break each Cubit down into 1T and 6 in now when we add the feet up we get 1 2 3 4 5 6 ft now let's add up the inches 6 in + 6 in = 1T and again 6 in + 6 in = 1 ft one more time 6 in + 6 in = 1 ft now let's add up all the feet 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 n ft but don't forget we have a span left over now remember a span is 9 in long so when we add the 9 in to the 9 ft we get 9t and 9 in so Goliath was 9t 9 in tall now the point of me showing you this conversion chart is so that you can see that none of these giants in the Bible was actually the size of tall trees that's just a misunderstanding of what the scriptures are saying now let's move on to the most controversial giants in the Bible known as the sons of anak let's see if their genealogy ology is in the Bible we'll start by looking up a knock in the Blue Letter Bible here it is it says a knock and it means neck number one progenitor of a family or tribe of the giant people in Canaan so anak was the progenitor or father of a tribe of giants in the land of Canaan now when the Israelite spies went into the land of Canaan they saw those particular Giants watch this numbers 13 And1 and the Lord spake unto Moses saying verse two send thou men that they may search the land of Canaan which I give unto the children of Israel so Moses sent the is isite spies to search the land of Canaan now let's go down to verse 22 it says and they ascended by the south and came unto heon so they came un heon which is a city in the land of Canaan let's see who was in heon it says where aaman Shai and talmi the children of anakar so the Israelite spies they saw the sons of anak in Hebron just to be clear who did they see in Hebron the sons of anoch now watch this judges 1 and10 and Judah went against the Canaanites that dwelt in heon now numbers 13:22 said that the sons of anak dwelt in Hebron and here in judges 1 and 10 it says that the Canaanites dwelt in heon h then it says now the name of Hebron before was Kath arba we're going to come back to that but I need you to see this point first the top of verse 10 says and Judah went against the Canaanites that dwelt in heon and then at the bottom it tells you who the Canaanites were that Judah went against it says and they slew Shai and aaman and talmi these are the sons of anoch they were the Canaanites that dwelt in Hebron that Judah went against but let's go a little deeper in the middle of verse 10 it says now the name of hebon before was Kath arba meaning before the Israelites took it over and named it Hebron the Canaanites used to call it Kath arba now what does that mean here it is in the Blue Letter Bible it says Kath arba and it means city of arba now who is arba let's see Joshua 211 and they gave them the city of arba the father of anak which city is heon so we see that arba was the father of anak now this is important because people talk about anoch and the sons of anoch like they just came out of nowhere but anoch had an Earthly father named arba the the city of heon used to be named after him it was called Kath arba it was a city in the land of Canaan named after arba where he lived with his son anak and his grandchildren the sons of anoch they were all Canaanites now that brings us back to the genealogy list in Genesis CH 10 here it is Genesis 10:6 and the sons of ham Kush and misam and foot and Canan this is where the Canaanites came from the man Canan now there were many different Canaanite tribes and when you go down to verses 15- 18 you see a list of them verse 15 and Canan begat sidon his firstborn and he verse 16 and the jebusite and the Amorite remember a was an Amorite it says and the girgashite verse 17 and the hivite and the arite and the sinite verse 18 and the arvite and the zorite and the hamite and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad so there were many different Canaanite tribes living together in the land of Canaan including the sons of anoch they were Canaanites through their father anoch and their grandfather arba who had a city in the land of Canaan named after him so contrary to what you may have heard the sons of anoch were just regular men there was nothing Supernatural about their origin they came through the lineage of Canan who was the son of ham now if you have any other questions about the sons of anak I have a video about them called numbers 13 and 33 mystery of the Giants you can go watch that video to get more understanding on the sons of Anna but again all the giants in the Bible were regular men a lot of people have sincerely misunderstood the giants in the Bible because of their understanding of what the word giant means today but you can't always take the understanding of a word today and apply that same understanding to that word 5,000 years ago meanings change and that's why the belief of these treesize men in the Bible exist today is just a Mis interpretation of the words see one of the main problems was that some people didn't understand why the Bible spoke about Giants on Earth After the flood when the Bible says that the flood wiped out everything and everybody except for Noah his sons and their wives so because the understanding wasn't clear at one time people came up with different theories and different philosophies to explain it but it only becomes difficult to explain how the Giants got back on Earth After the flood when you make the Giants out to be something that they were not when you believe in your mind that the Giants were supernatural beings the size of trees and buildings then you have to come up with some type of Supernatural event to explain it oh yeah see the Giants was the product of angels having sex with women nah we don't need that see when you understand the height of the Giants that they were not the size of tall trees and buildings when you understand why they were called Giants then it's easy to explain how they got back on Earth After the flood they were on the earth After the flood because they came through the lineage of ham these Giants were regular men who grew higher in stature than the Israelites did that's why they were called Giants it's that simple they were not supernal they were not the size of trees or buildings they were not aliens or any nonsense like that they were just higher in stature than the Israelites all the giants in the Bible After the flood came back into the Earth through ham and his descendants we don't have to look for any Supernatural explanation these were regular men so I hope somebody got some understanding and with that I say shalawam
