Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merger - Roller Coaster Rankings

so what happens when you take 11 theme parks that offer 128 different roller coasters and combine them with 15 theme parks where you'll find 166 different coasters you get Six Flags entertainment Corporation the new theme park giant that offers some of the best theme parks in North America and the entire world and with those great themed Parks come awesome fantastic roller coasters and since my channel slogan this keep riding coasters this is how I rank each Park based on its roller coaster collection post the Six Flags and Cedar Fair merger coming in last at 26 is Frontier City and you're going to find a total of five different coasters here and their standout coaster is Diamondback the arrow shuttle Loop coaster that's been in operation at the park since 1994 and sadly there's only three of these coasters left operating in the entire world and while I have to say this par does look cute I've yet to visit this park yet but there really isn't like a major draw for most people to come to this park unless you're doing a coaster trip or you live in the OKC area number 25 The Great Escape total coasters is six the standout coasters obviously the comet this double out and back wooden coaster is fantastic and it's filled with a ton of airtime and great laterals but you do not want to sleep on the allnew for 2024 Bobcat the parks awesome looking gravity group wooden coaster that is a huge hit with the families and Thrill Seekers and this park isn't the best of parks but really it's a great par to add on to like a New England trip or if you're coming down from Canada overall I really enjoy the great escape and I'm excited for the Park's future especially after the success of bobcat number 24 is Daran Lake and the total coasters is seven the standout coasters obviously the intimate hyper coaster ride of Steel now sadly this ride hardly ever runs with two trains which is unfortunate and Darion Lake really is a great Park overall and there's so much room for improvement here in terms of expansion for the park you have the campground the concert venue the hotel the great water park so I'm really am curious to see if Six Flags can maintain total ownership of this park going forward so we can start to see some real Investments here at Darion Lake because there really is so much to love about this park that is located just east of Buffalo New York number 23 Michigan's Adventure the total coasters is seven and the standout coaster is shivering Timbers and this insane looking out andback CCI coaster just feels like it never ends and this park that is the staple attraction for sure but regardless of that it's a great overall Park and you have the vomc Thunderhawk which really is one of the better slc's out there and Wolverine wildcat a very underrated wooden coaster that in my opinion doesn't get talked about enough number 22 might come to a surprise for some of you but it's luron and the total coasters is eight and the standout coaster is Goliath now this park definitely has some potential because I love the location of it due to the scenery around the park you're literally on an island so I would love to see what the new Six Flags will do here now there is a slight chance they could sell the park off I hope that's not the case because lth is great and vampire their B&M clone coaster is always a solid ride and really this park does have some room to expand it could benefit from a new coaster but I just hope the park really gets all its Kinks out and starts working on giving the park some TLC before their next coaster number 21 Valley Fair total coasters eight and the standout coasters Renegade do not sleep on Valley Fair seriously I know it doesn't offer the best coaster collection however this park going into it you know you're going to have a great time it's ran so well it's a clean Park it's easy to navigate and most of the coasters besides the cor screw are very ridable and enjoyable Renegade is phenomenal great out and back GCI twister coaster Excalibur is like the second best ride there this aom Mine Train if you go when it is open and sometimes it's not sorry to my buddy Adam who went and this ride was not open because it's so good during my visit to Valley Fair we WR it like 13 different times I love it and while wild thing is not one of the better Morgan hyper coasters it still offers a great layout and a great view of the park as well as some solid air time and I really enjoy the tunnels on wild thing but my favorite ride here really a Steel Venom because it's an intimate impulse and I love intimate especially these type of rides that still offer the holding break number 20 Six Flags America total coasters nine the standout coasters the intimate hyper coaster Superman the ride now while this park hasn't received a new coaster in almost what 20 some years now it's definitely time for this park to build something but what they do have is not bad you have Joker's Jinx a great Premier spaghetti bow coaster obviously Superman the ride is the best ride there and the most popular and you get a great airtime and those helixes are phenomenal but I really do love wild one this coaster is really good for an out andback wooden coaster and you get some really good solid PPS of airtime so do not underestimate this layout or the size of this coaster is I guarantee you this it's going to be one of your favorite rides at the park number 19 Six Flags St Louis total coasters 10 and the standout coaster is drum roll please Mr Freeze yes this Premier launch coaster is just insane I love these things and I could think of around 20 Parks out there that could have been benefited from a ride like this being added around 15 20 years ago these things are fantastic I really do love the whole forwards and reverse launch as well as getting blasted up the 218 ft tall tower but it's all about that 180 degree inversion and the overbank turn but St Louis is a lot more than just Mr Freeze you have the boss which really isn't that horrible of a wooden coaster now obviously I wish it would get rmcd but it's still a really great layout and then you have American Thunder a great GCI wooden twister coaster and Batman the ride the Clone and American Eagle a classic out andback wooden coaster in the woods that really is a great ride and I highly recommend riding ninja around 20 different times when you go to this park trust me you'll thank me later for that great recommendation number 18 Six Flags Discovery Kingdom total coasters 10 the standout coaster in my opinion would be the Joker this RMC hybrid coaster might not be the tallest are the longest or the most insane one but it really does offer a great first drop some great inversions some Wicked pops of airtime overall a great ride you have Medusa which is one of the better B&M floorless out there and of course their Superman Premier Skyrocket 2 coaster and these things I love these clones just like the Mr Freeze rides I really wish more of these rides would have gotten built at a Six Flags park but in terms of coasters when everything is open Discovery Kingdom really does offer a pretty solid collection so I definitely recommend checking it out number 17 is California's Great America and they have a total coaster count of nine with their standout being railblazer while I could easily have said gold Striker I just feel like railblazer is fantastic with the theming as well as all the near Miss elements and this ride experience of what 30 some seconds is so intense from the first drop to the break run and of course you have flight deck which is one of the original B&M inverted coasters and this ride is great offers a wonderful layout including a grand finale over the Lagoon a really nice touch for the park and gold Striker is a solid one of the top five best GCI coasters here in America if not top three as well as the one and only Grizzly a fantastic wooden coaster that again I recommend riding on the wheel seat and ride it around 10 different times in a row you're going to have the best Six Flags day ever let me tell you that number 16 Worlds of Fun total coaster is eight and the standout coaster is Mamba this Morgan hyper coaster if the trims are not on I'm telling you what this ride is it blew me away I've been on it a long time ago but I recently rode it 2 years ago without the trims and the second half of the coaster all the airtime Hills were like Magnum likee this ride was hauling and it's fantastic Worlds of Fun really does have a solid coaster collection because you cannot find a bad coaster in the park I really do love the work that the park has done under D Corporation Timberwolf that opened up in 1989 this coaster really did take me by surprise when I wrote it and I really like Patriot it's not the best inverted coaster out there but it really has a nice layout and it's very graceful and fun and Prowler Prowler really is a top-notch wooden coaster and just like gold Striker this could very well be a top five GCI here in North America especially during night rides so I recommend if you're able to visit is it ruls of fun when it's open up later try to snag a night ride on zambesi Zinger and Prowler seriously you will not regret doing this number 15 is Six Flags Mexico the total coaster count is nine and the standout coaster is Superman and some would argue Ste Medusa and while both of these coasters look great I've yet to visit this park and with the rumor surfing that that Park is adding a brand new Tacoma tilt coaster in 2025 they might have another standout coaster to be talked about and I might have to get my butt down there to ride it because this park I've heard nothing but great things about this park in terms of the overall feel and look of the park how it's ran plus it does offer a great one-w punch and Superman and their RMC steel Medusa both rides offer great layouts and honestly do not get talked about enough number 14 is Dorney Park total coasters 8 and the standout coaster steel Force I really love what Cedar Fair has done over the last last few years for Dorney Park and I'm even more excited to see what Six Flags does with this park going forward because steel force is a fantastic hyper coaster that is a lot like Mamba at over at Ro of fun but overall this coaster is great solid air time a great Helix that kind of hugs the hill in the back of the park and I really do love the tunnels but for me I love possessed an intimate impulse though it does not hold you on the holding break Talon is one of my favorite B&M inverted coasters I've always l the placement of Talon at the park it's just placed perfectly in my opinion in the Park's layouts and just flows so well in Hydra is a decent B&M floorless it's kind of boring I don't love it I don't hate it the JoJo roll is obviously the best part of it but iron Menace is a great B&M dive coaster that offers four inversions and a very very short ride experience but overall it's a great addition to Dorney Park and watch out for this park in the future cuz I'm definitely excited about it number 13 is Six Flags Over Georgia and the total coasters is 13 and their standout coaster is the B&M hyper Goliath this park really does offer a solid coaster collection and I would say mind benders up there at the top but sadly that coaster got neutered and Goliath is where it's at followed by Twisted Cyclone is a great RMC hybrid coaster it's just really too short uh I enjoy it it's just I'd rather go ride AA Force One around 30 minutes away over this ride but the main reason why you need to go visit six F of Georgia is obviously Goliath but in my opinion and a lot of you would agree with this their Batman the ride clone is by far the best one out there seriously it's fantastic now I'm really excited about their brand new intim coaster coming to the park this year if it does open up this year I think it's a great addition to the park they definitely need a launch coaster in a new water ride is never a bad thing when you're dealing with a park in Atlanta Georgia number 12 is Six Flag New England total coasters is 11 and the standout coaster is Superman and wicked Cyclone both of these coasters are topnotch they really are and every time I ride one of them I think it's better than the other but then I just basically keep on reiding both of them and I can never make up my mind especially night rides though I will say the restraints on Superman are horrible and if it had different restraints then it would definitely be the best coaster in New England and possibly a top five coaster in the entire new Six Flags chain of parks but aside from those two you have Batman The Dark Knight which really is a pretty solid B&M floorless coaster I really do enjoy the compact layout of it is it action-packed from the start of the first drop all the way to the break run and pandemonium's always a great family coaster but really I think one of the most underrated coasters in the entire chain is Thunderbolt seriously if you ride in the first car or the train you're in for a great pop of air time in like multiple spots of the ride you just have have to ride it trust me I highly recommend riding Thunderbolt in the first car because you're not going to regret that now this next one might surprise you but it's Six Flags Over Texas and you're going to find 14 coasters and the standout one being Mr Freeze again in my opinion this is the best coaster at the park overall now while I will say I really did enjoy new Texas Giant and Titan both great rides Mr Freeze is where it's at I mean just everything about the St Louis version I just like the Texas version a little bit more so I cannot recommend enough going to ride this coaster and enjoy the rest of the park Aquaman the mock power Splash really blew me away I just I really just loved it I really hope we see more of these type of rides open up in Parks all across the country it was just so much fun but do not sleep on runaway Mountain which is an indoor coaster and I can't tell you too much about it other than watch out for the middle part of the ride it's a great transition and in the back of the park you have shock wve a great Schwarz coff looping coaster that offers two vertical loops and one of the highest g-forces you're ever going to experience on a ride it's really good it's kind of hard to find it's in the back of the park so I definitely recommend checking that ride out as well now before I get to the top 10 parks in the Six Flags chain in terms of coasters if you're looking for some great new coaster merch to wear in the Parks then check out keep riding coasters.com for all my cool merch designs I really do love seeing these out in the Parks and if you're not already following me on x be sure to do so and tag me in your post while you're at the park and I'll be sure to repost it and thank you for buying my merch again check out keep riding coasters.com number 10 is not SP farm and they have a total coaster count of 10 and the standout coaster I would have to say Ghost Rider the CCI GCI double out and back that offers a L-shaped layout really does deliver a great ride full of laterals airtime really cool sections of the track that fly through all the supports making this ride one of the best wooden coasters in the entire chain and of course you have accelerator and hangtime two other great top-notch coasters that could very well be a stand out coaster as well for knots I love accelerator I love the views that you get as well as that launch out of the station it's fantastic hang time is so much fun especially at night and I cannot wait to see what they do with monaz Zuma's Revenge when they do open it up and I really do enjoy Jaguar their great family coaster number nine is Six Flags Great America total coasters is 15 and the standout coaster is Goliath there arms the topper track wooden coaster and I had the privilege to ride this around 14 different times when I was there 2 years ago and I love it it's like an iron guasa for me in terms of every element is pretty much Perfection yes it is short and I wish it had two or three more elements added on to it but that first drop is great especially in the back row and I really do love the bunny hill before the emman version he gets a great airtime then it's all about that stall that stall under the lift Hill is just a thing of beauty I I I really love it I still prefer AA Force One stall over Goliath but Goliath really is the best coaster in the park for me in my opinion but Great America just like King's Island and King's Dominion and a few other Parks you're not going to find really any bad coasters there they're all really good wizards fantastic and Viper do not sleep on viper this wooden coaster does not look it's going to do too much but it really does deliver a great ride sit in the front or the very back and you'll see what I mean raging bowl is a great B&M hyper coaster Max Force is a great SNS launch coaster overall it's really hard to beat the coaster collection at Great America I just feel like they need a major standout coaster to go along with Goliath number eight Canada's Wonderland total coasters is 18 and the standout coaster Leviathan now remember quality over quantity and while this park does does offer 18 different coasters including one coming next year outside of Leviathan The Parks Giga coaster Behemoth The Parks B&M hyper coaster and Yukon Striker all you really have is Vortex the Aeros suspended coaster and then outside of that you basically want and done you're not going to find that many good coasters overall outside of the top four at Canada's Wonderland so I'm really excited to see what they're building next year and hopefully it's going to be a reliable multi-launch coaster but overall this park is is really good Leviathan looks really solid and Behemoth along the water there you got to love it number seven is Six Flags F of Texas total coasters 12 and the standout coasters are Iron Rattler and Wonder Woman and this park really does have a great top three with Cliffhanger Iron Rattler and Wonder Woman it really is hard to beat those rides but Superman Krypton coaster really is one of the best bnm floorless coasters out there how it interacts with the rock Cory wall and the lake in the middle of the Park I really do love it and Poltergeist which is the Outdoor version of fly of fear that offers no midcourse break run mind you and you're also going to love Road Runner Express one of the best aomine train coasters ever built overall Six Flags F Texas really is a solid Park Iron Rattler is just amazing especially at night in the front and back row that rock Corey drop is one of the best midcourse drops on any coaster out there and Wonder Woman my God this ride is just ins insane it's so good it is just it's like i305 or Sky rush just condensed even more and more intense it really is fantastic and that is why I have BSA Texas at number seven number six is carowind total coasters is 14 and the standout coaster has to be nigh Hawk okay I'm just joking on that but Fury 325 is the reason why carowind is even in the top 15 on this list there is no doubt about it but Fury 325 really is the best Giga coaster that's ever been built but car ones does offer a great B&M inverted coaster and afterburn which is my favorite B&M inverted coaster out there I really do love the layout and how intense it really is with no midc course break run and Copperhead strike a great multi-launch ride coming from mock rides that open up in 2019 and feature six inversions and then you have thunder Striker AKA Intimidator a decent bnm hyper coaster honestly I really do like the first half of the ride it's just the second half really does nothing for me and outside of those just like Canada's Wonderland everything else is pretty much one and done so stick with Fury 325 and Copperhead and afterburn and thunder Striker when you visit Carowinds number five is King's Dominion and this Austin Park located about an hour away from Bush Gardens Williamsburg offers 14 different coasters and the standout coaster is Project 305 or whatever they decide to call it in the future King's Dominion really is a beautiful park with a topnotch coaster collection and with with project 305 which is one of the best Giga coasters ever created in Twisted Timbers another great RMC coaster the park really does offer a great onew punch and then you throw in rides like Dominator and the grizzly and for me the grizzly is fantastic it is the third best coaster in the park since its retrack but all signs are pointing to a brand new launched B&M Wing coaster coming to the park in 2025 which will only enhance King's Dominion overall coaster lineup number four is Six Flags Great Adventure total coasters is 15 and the standout one is El Toro the intimate prefab wooden coaster that is one of the best wooden coasters ever built seriously you have to go to this park and ride it in the very last car because I'm telling you what that first drop is one of the best first drops you will ever experience not to mention but the two airtime Hills are also up there with the best ones you'll ever get to experience but that's not the only great intimate Great Adventure offers because you will also find the world's tallest coaster for the moment K DEA located here and this ride while I do prefer Top Thrill 2 and draxter to it there's something to say about how intense keaa really is that launch you really just know it's different than draxter it really is fantastic and my third favorite coaster at the park is the Jersey Devil their armc singer roller coaster really is a lot of fun offers a great layout inversions and AirTime but once you experience the top three you'll realize you still have Nitro Superman Medusa as well as Batman the ride and the Green Lantern to conquer as well even though you're going to find a handful of Clone coasters at the park and speaking of clones the newest coaster added to Great Adventure is Flash Vertical Velocity and while this ride has not officially opened yet it really does look fantastic and I'm really cannot wait to ride it and I really hope we see more of these sty of rides open up at other Parks because as voma is on to something with their super boomerang model number three is King's Island Total coasters 15 and the standouts are diamondback and the Beast yes I know Orion's there and Orion is a great ride that is sadly a bit too short that is why Diamondback in the very back row of the train at night is the best ride in the entire park the Beast is always good as well even though I hate the trims on it but it really is hard to argue that the Beast is not one of the best rides in the park espe especially when you ride it at night but the great thing about King's Island is you're not going to find a bad coaster in the park seriously the bad is Amazing Adventure Express is one of the best airam my trains out there the racer the park has done a phenomenal job on the racer fly to fear is always great back lot stun coaster is a fun ride Banshee the B&M inverted coaster offers the best first drop on any B&M inverted coaster out there when you're riding in the very back row and on an outside seat then of course you have Mystic members my opinion the best Warden coaster at Kings Island this ride is Relentless from start to finish it is that good and then you have number two Magic Mountain total coaster count is 20 and the standout coaster is X2 now this place when every ride is open really is right up there with Cedar Point in terms of coaster collection but sadly when you go to the park you're probably going to find around two or three coasters closed but what I really love about Magic Mountain is the diversity that the the park offers you have rides like Wonder Woman a great RMC single roll coaster and then you have Revolution a classic shorts cop coaster that plays off the train beautifully and one of the best rides there is Twisted Colossus especially when you get a dueling version of it because this layout's really cool as well as when you see the other train dueling with you it just adds to the overall experience and then of course you have tattoo and other great coasters but X2 really is where it's at this ride is just unlike anything you can ride here in America so definitely go check it out and with that being said the number one park in the new Six Flags chain of parks in terms of coasters is Cedar Point and their total coaster count is 17 and the standout coaster is steel Vengeance a coaster that's pretty much guaranteed to be in everyone's top 10 in terms of coasters that you're going to find here in North America it really is fantastic but for me I prefer Maverick just slightly more and then when Top Thrill 2 does finally reopen if it ever does really does bump Cedar points at the top of this list because top thr2 is fantastic with the Spike as well as the top hat the air time you have going over the top hat it it honestly it's out of this world but the crazy thing about Cedar Point is you still have rides like Magnum which is in a lot of people's top 10 top 20s it's so good the return leg on it airtime Galore you have Millennium Force one of the best Giga coasters ever built I love this layout it's absolutely perfection you have rides like gatekeeper Val Raven rugaru Gemini I can go on and on there's so many solid coasters at Cedar Point but Maverick has a special place in my heart I love it I just love everything about it so that in my opinion is the best coaster at Cedar Point now if you love roller coasters just like me then the video at the bottom of your screen I rank the top 10 best family coasters here in America that you have to ride so do not forget to check out that video with that being said what are your thoughts on how I rank the Six Flags parks in terms of coaster Collections and how do you rank them let me know in the comments and as always thank you so much for watching remember to smile today think positive and keep ridy coasters
