prepare their own meals let me give you an example of Bangalore so according to zomato Bangalore is the number one city with the highest number of breakfast orders whereas Delhi has the highest number of late night orders so you have to first understand what type of city are you living in if you're in Bangalore your focus should be creating a cloud kitchen which serves the breakfast orders whereas if you are in Delhi you should focus more on the late night orders now there is also a growing trend of people looking for healthier food options people are bored with boate people are bored with fos they understand that a lot of these options are unhealthy and that is why there has been a growing trend of healthier options and companies like California Burrito are taking up that space and building a huge business Empire in the case of California burito they were able to understand the similarities in the Indian Cuisine and the Mexican Cuisine and they started preparing fresh healthy meals for people who are working in jobs I go to a lot of co-working spaces like wework in Bangalore and the one thing I observe is around the lunchtime there are a ton of orders on the reception desk of vok right and these are all people who do not have their own lunchbox but they've actually opted to have lunch on zato right so that is the change that is the shift people are now willing to experiment they want to have healthier food options they want to spend on their own meals and that is where you come in as a cloud kitchen you identify that Niche California burito understood that interesting example so I was in Mumbai for about 5 days to meet up with companies and I went to lower paril to meet this company which is into Consulting right so they only focus on Consulting Services I went to them and I asked them what are you working on and they said that you know ishan we've built this new AI chatbot that we want you to promote that we want you to grow the user base of and I was shocked I was like why are you guys working on a AI chatbot that is weird and they said that we want to get new customers and new leads and this is an interesting way for them to get that so what you have to understand is that be IT consulting be it any other domain a lot of companies want AI to be integrated into the work that they are already doing so your focus should be on how can you create these custom models for these companies and sell it to them with a onetime fee right I'll give you a good example of customer service so with the new chat GPT 4 you can actually have realtime conversations which feel very human so the best thing you can do now is to use that and you integrate it into a particular company's customer service right and then they would be able to handle a ton of more calls without deploying more people right so normally what happens is they work in collaboration with customer service centers but when you deploy a AI model for them which is able to take care of all the customer queries automatically you will save a ton of costs for them and it's very easy for them to pay you in proportion to the cost that you save for them and that is how the game really works another example is companies have a ton of data but very few of them have actionable insights from that data so your job could be creating a custom AI model which goes through every single data point parameter that they have in the data and come up with actionable insights for how can they get more Revenue save more costs optimize on every single customer workflow and that is what you can offer to a lot of businesses and this is not just limited to tech companies you could be offering this to real estate companies could be offering this to a lot of other companies which which are completely separate from each other which should not happen there is one consuming platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok and then you have platforms like mintra you have Amazon and you have other platforms which offer people anything that they want to buy but why don't these coexist together I'm talking about building a platform where people can watch a reel and there's a button for them to instantly buy what is there in that particular reel so the most viral reals I've seen is people showing off their outfits that you know I got this from this brand I got this from that brand and I paid x amount of rupees for it and then they say you know DM the word this and I'll send across this link of this whole outfit to them this is very inefficient on Instagram what you can build however is a distribution platform where people can come they can create these product reels it could be Tech tools it could be Beauty and wellness it could be people talking about their fitness journey and sharing Fitness Products or it could also be people talking about their fashion outfits anything that they have right I could do a desk tour I could show people all the tech tools that I have and there could be an instant button for people to click on that and buy that in the app itself what you can then do is you can have a API which integrates with either menra or Amazon or any other platform so that whenever someone makes a purchase on your platform the purchase is done through either of these platforms and you can take the affiliate commission and you can then give that affiliate commission to the Creator as well so in the sense you're creating a Creator economy in which you as a platform make money the Creator makes money which doesn't happen on Instagram and the person at the end is also able to consume people love consuming people want to buy there's a huge consumer culture I'll give you an example my co-founder sarange who used to use garer men face wash when I was in college with him he is now trying a ton of different wellness products so he would be buying face washes he would be buying sunscreens from a ton of different companies because he wants to find the right one which works with his skin retail therapy is a new word out there there's also a huge potential with live shopping and you can see this happen really well in China you know there are these events in which creators in China come live and they showcase products and they're able to do billions of dollars of Revenue actual sales while being live on that platform even Zara experimented with a live shopping experience in China and it was really successful on doin which is the sister app of Tik Tok in China now whatever happens in China is a high likelihood of it being repeated in India that's just how the markets operate so you have to focus on how can you integrate live shopping how this trend by the way is growing 28% year on year that is how crazy live Commerce and live shopping has become and so if you can allow people to come live show what they are wearing show what they are using and have a link for them to instantly buy right then and there you my friend are going to make a lot of money in that whole process of course Instagram can come in and copy the same feature but don't focus on that just focus on building this tool and creating that distribution for people that is going to be a great way for you to monetize the platform and make money for the Creator as well that was idea number three idea number four I want to talk about is interesting and that is selling to the rich you know the best way to make money in India is to sell to the rich there are there's a very interesting Indus Valley report which talks about the 2024 segmentation of the Indian consumer and it has created these three layers India 1 India 2 India 3 the India 3 is the layer which does not consume this is the layer which will watch all the ads this is the layer which will never buy a subscription for anything and the only way companies are able to monetize on them is by showing them advertisement so they are basically monetizing on the time they are spending on these platforms like Google like YouTube like Facebook for that matter but the reality is that India 3 comprises of a 100 CR people that is how big this Market really is then we move on to India 2 these are all the people in tier 2 and tier three cities these people are using things like flip cart and Amazon but they are still not spending on premium items like they would never buy a Netflix subscription that would just be too much for them to actually buy now this is a segment where a lot of companies are focusing on but then we have India 1 now these are the people who are working in the top tier cities that you have in the top metropolitan cities this is a very small number of people but if you can monetize them you can end up making a lot of money but after India 1 we also have India Alpha right this is the cream of the cream right this is the segment of people who would actually invest in luxuries who would actually invest in everything out there that you can think of they're buying all the subscriptions and they are very much interested in consuming right they are making a lot of money and they love spending now your focus should be on how can you optimize them you could be selling them either weight loss you you could sell them either a way for them to look better through beauty products or through skin care or you could also be selling them Fitness how can you create a product create a plan for them to either look better feel better or just be more fitter in their life if you can do either of these things you're going to make a lot of money right there are so many of these companies which start with creating meal plans for people who are too busy to cook their own meals and they are able to charge a premium because the people actually availing the services are affluent these are the affluent Indians obviously there's a very small number of people like these in the indust valy report but you can make a ton of money from each one of them so the average order value that you get from every person is going to be substantially higher so think about anything that you can offer to these people and start creating the service it could be through an app it could be through just a simple service that you offer to them on WhatsApp and just try to monetize that way let's say that you work with a reputed fitness instructor and you work with a nutritionist to create meal plans and workout routines for people who are too busy right these could be people working in top companies people who are too occupied people who are maybe let's just say 30 plus 30 to 50 range but they want to take care of their health you can Target this segment and you can start selling to them right and you will not believe how much revenue can you generate by just doing that another example is just to tackle the number one problem that most people who are working feel loneliness focus on that pandemic what you create is a way for people to come together to either date or to build friendships so what you're doing here is and I've actually seen this happen a lot in Bangalore is that people create these experiences in which you come together in a cafe there are 10 guys there are 10 girls each of them have paid like 1,500 rupees for about 3 to four hours they've created these activities so that you can come together try out these activities and you can build friendships with people which could also then turn into romantic relationships later on so this is a great way for you to charge money from people who are too busy and people who actually want real world experiences they want real world relationships most people think that dating apps are crazy and who even goes on dating apps so this is a great way for them to actually meet people and bond relationships with them for the next business idea I want to show you something really interesting and that is the meta Quest 3 and believe me as I'm talking to you I can see this camera I can see this mic but I can also see this amazing display in front of me in which I can watch my own video and I can Target it I can play a game with it I can do whatever I want with the help of this new way to consume content and honestly I you know I tried this I think last to last week I've had this since December but this is a whole new way to consume content and this is a whole new playing field you know like you had 2007 when the iPhone was introduced this is very similar to that like you can't see but I can actually see a Launchpad over here I can see a display over there I can see so many things around me I can play games I can actually interact with content in real time and that is what you get to do with the help of these VR headsets right now you've already seen Apple Vision Pro that was too expensive but this is meta Quest 3 it retails for about 40 45,000 rupees and uh Facebook is able to sell a ton of them right you can see the number on the screen Facebook is able to sell a ton of these devices now it's a bit straining on the eye but this is a new horizon for you to explore you can work remotely with people you can play games you can consume content and it actually feels like a theater right like you are not distant like the coant is very much in front of you like you can actually interact with it in real time and it feels very immersive and this is the new opportunity you know the next 10 years bet that I have is that a lot of these apps that you see on app store or on Play Store need to get transferred to the VR world to the arvr world that you know headsets like these are optimizing for so your focus today should be on how can you learn about this experience about AR and VR and how can you start building these apps which are top selling on our phones on our laptop but build it for VR and when you do that you're going to be able to have the first movers Advantage you know all the first few apps on App Store were very shitty but because they were first they were able to get that first movers advantage and they all ended up getting either acquired or end up making a ton of money and that is the benefit that you have by being the first mover so go out there build these tools very few people in India actually have this set but it's actually a growing number and I tell you people who actually have this they are I think the top point 0 1% consumers of India if you can build for them they're going to pay you very well for the service and these my friends were the top five business ideas that you can start with today in India that
