i am minka and i'm six years old if your home doesn't stay up here's a checklist to help first get the right food that's right maybe it's not even your fault that the hoop is not staying up if we want to spin it around our waist then we use a big one and heavier ones even for kids little ones are not good around your waist and little hoops are good to spin on your hand big ones are good for the waist check out the description because there you find a video that helps you choose the best hoop for you let's say you've got an awesome hula hoop now it's time to get you started needs to touch your back let's not touch it then it will fall down is it touching chest stay tall and proud you don't need to look at your hula hoop to spin so keep your chest up is it forcible that your hands are too far like this then it will almost not good that's why you can't push it well we don't want to be too busy but it doesn't matter how you're holding it is your hoop straight if it's on a funny angle then it will hit your face or on the floor so hold it nice and straight later it will not matter where your feet are but when you're new it does one switch forward relax your knees when we concentrate we tend to lock our joints out just relax relax your knees when you're healthy when you're pushing you need to give it lots of momentum are you pushing it strong enough you need to give it a very busy push if you did way faster and strong then it will go fast the speed the tempo of your movement matters as well maybe you need some nice music to make you move to have nice tempo and if it goes down then don't be sad just try again maybe try pushing it another way there's many different ways to hula hoop and they are all correct maybe for you it works differently if it doesn't work you can move side to side front and back side to side or even going round the circle they all work once a hoop stays up there's just so many fun things that can be tried and if you're very good at the normal version then you can try tricks as hopefully put your arms in a spit mint pillow like this this we call shoulder hooping and for adults it's usually very hard to learn it's a super challenging move because adults seem to store lots of stress and tension in their shoulders so it's good to break down tension and relax the shoulders and if you're an adult do not be surprised kids will always be better at this it will take adults a long time to learn this also chest hipping is super hard for adults kids usually can do it first time they try it's super fun to try balancing on one leg we love balancing even on trees hula hoops are so much fun to take on adventures so that you can explore spend time in the fresh air in the sunshine we love to have a race walking backwards and we are not musicians but that doesn't hold us back from trying to play musical instruments while we are hula hooping [Music] turning same way as the hoop is spinning is amazing fun it can get you dizzy but there are kids and some grown-ups who actually like that for getting dizzy and playing you do not even need to be able to keep your hoop around your waist ever tried balancing a book on your head while healer heaping we just get super competitive about that if your hoop is staying up my mom has this whole workout for you have it a try have fun bye we are sending you lots of love from latvia to have a look on the map if you're not sure where it is before that though do check out the links in the description because there we can help you find the best hula hoop for you get you started with your first workout and we wish you happy hooping
