Celebrating Mermaid Scales: A Positive Influence

Can you just stop hating on people? Give people a break. Bro, Coco go crazy. I hate you so much. Stop hating on everyone. Well, that one's a little ironic. Haters going to hate. Haha. You don't like anything. So, a lot of people have been saying I hate too much. To be fair, most commentary channels are negative. Try finding one that posts more positive content, but I always like to make my content more broad. So, honestly, why not? Anyway, so I feel like I owe it to you guys to make a positive one. This video is on why absolutely nobody hates Mermaid Scales, the completely unproatic influencer. She posts shorts and long- form videos, and anyone who ever seems to have made a video criticizing her is immediately met with backlash. And for good reason. In fact, if I were to make a video criticizing her, I'd probably have about a 2% like rate to 98% dislike rate, and all comments would be hating on me. It's a star cookie. Hold on. I love this. This video was inspired by this creator. I thought it was a pretty cool video idea. So, in this video, we're going to firstly go over how Mermaid Skills really truly became one of the biggest Indian creators of all time. We are in an age of YouTube where it is very, very easy to find a hate video on someone. And I don't mean this in a way to like cry or whine or be negative. Legitimately, almost every creator has been attacked or had a video critiquing them by now. So, it's rare when you find someone like the mermaid scales who literally has no hate videos on her. The mermaid scales began a few years ago, and she was instantly spotted by fans and instantly developed the fan base due to her ability to stand out. She was recently interviewed and she said in the interview that she enjoys standing out. She doesn't like to have a classic style. She moreover likes to do something a bit more creative. I'm not sure exactly why, but recently she's disappeared from Tik Tok and mainly only posts on YouTube. And a lot of people on Tik Tok have missed her. I've seen multiple people making videos asking why she left. One Redditor wrote, "I was recently thinking about her and I think she is talented in a way that she is so consistent with real ideas. Most of her content is relatable content, but her presentation skills is amazing for a solo creator. I have never tried them before and I'm really excited to try them out. I have seen them on Amazon and I guess it's like five flavored noodles. She's one of the most likable influencers out there right now. She's funny, relatable, creative while creating her content. Also, she literally rocks any attire, either it's a cosplay or a casual home look. People who do Tik Tok or YouTube shorts usually get a lot of hate over a short period of time because people will claim they fell off because they get boring fast. But she's able to come up with new comedic skits constantly and overall has never lost her audience. And right now we are at an all-time high for racism towards Indians on all platforms. It's like people just accept it at this point, which is actually so sad. So I'm glad to see someone like her receiving all love instead of just tons and tons of racism like so many Indian influencers receive today. For example, like a few weeks ago, I stumbled across a Tik Tok of an Indian guy with the caption, "If you guys don't want Indian girls, I'll take them." He's basically talking about the constant racism towards Indians, especially Indian girls. And I expected all the comments to be supporting him, but they were all saying, "No, you can keep them. We don't want them." And it just amazed me how this racism is just so acceptable today. That looks good. And most of her shorts have one goal, to make her audience laugh. She does this in a way without being edgy and being just straight out racist like some people. Starts with an S. Speed MC. Yeah, you know who I'm talking about. And she just is able to do it without putting others down. It's very, very, very impressive. She's very active on YouTube and Instagram. Once again, I'm not exactly sure why she stopped posting on Tik Tok, but it might have something to do with the Tik Tok ban. A lot of Tik Tockers probably want to move on to other platforms that don't have the huge risk of getting banned. Like I said before, most shorts YouTubers or Tik Tockers that make these type of skits literally become hated in less than a few months. Literally, think of anyone off the top of your head. There's like a million hate videos and videos saying they fell off. She blew up so quickly on any platform she entered and basically became a trending topic on any platform she entered. She inspired a lot of copycats such as Kiki Kim, which I've discussed before, other shorts YouTubers who would just blatantly rip her stuff off and of course would not credit her. But she's never really called Kiki Kim out. And it could be because she doesn't want to get into drama. But whatever it is, it's fully her choice. And she obviously has the opportunity to do whatever she wants. But everyone in the bag. So, moving on. What are they doing back there? I think for once, we made the right YouTube shorts person famous. I mean, I don't know what else to call creator on YouTube shorts. Like, Tik Tok is a Tik Tocker. So, I'm not 100% sure what you call someone who posts on YouTube shorts, but you get the idea. We made for once the right person famous. This is my [ __ ] Scotty, and I'm from the South. She runs the South. [Music] Wonder how long it'll be before Kiki Kim copies that one, too. Well, anyway, you get the idea. She literally just follows trends without doing it in a way of blatantly ripping off other creators. She puts her own creative touch on it. This is what so many shorts YouTubers struggle to do. And I love it when her community tabs, every so often she'll post a cosplay or cool outfit she has and she just is so creative. Like these outfits are literally mind-blowing. Like they are so creative. And if she does this makeup and outfits herself, like that is next level because they look really, really good. And most Tik Tockers can go without posting and people will just comment a few things like where'd you go? But no one will actually really care. Like for example, Veter, he left and I didn't see too many videos weeping that. But when she left, there were a lot of videos and a lot of discussion about why she left. A lot of people on that platform really, really missed her. I didn't even know who she was at that time. And I kept on seeing videos asking where she went and saying they missed her. And it was kind of like, man, this is where I wish I was as a creator. I wish I was that creative that people actually would like miss me on a platform that much that there would be edits made and that there would be all these like videos asking where I went. So, it was really just a sweet goodbye that people gave her when she [Music] left. I don't think people understand enough how rare this is. She doesn't copy videos. She's not rude. She's not like mean or racist. Like this is incredibly rare. Like she hasn't been exposed for anything. Like this never happens, especially with shorts YouTubers. I have been following her since lockdown. To be honest, she is one of the best YouTubers on YouTube. The last two words were unnecessary, but yeah, you get the idea. She is literally beloved. The lockdown did help her blow up. Yesterday, I was at a track meet and I saw a social distancing sign and man, it just hit me with that memory. all of the things that happened during lockdown. Just remember that where we couldn't go outside, we didn't go to school, we sat on our computers at home, man. And that was about 5 years ago. That is insane. Okay, off topic. Back onto Mermaid Scales. The lockdown did help her blow up because overall she could do most of her videos inside and alone. They didn't really require more people. Her style was simple, but she would always add something a little bit creative that would cause her to stand out. She would wear an interesting outfit. She'd have an interesting background. Sometimes it would be the cow print. She'd always have something to stand out in all of her videos. And that would help her eventually gain more traction and get over six million followers on Instagram. With her YouTube videos gaining tons and tons of traction, easily getting millions of views each, and she still posts long- form videos where her beloved fans will always comment lots of love. At the core of it, there isn't really anything to get mad at. So, well, I get so many comments commenting about how I'm too negative. Here's proof I'm not. Because I thought I'd talk about someone I actually appreciate and enjoy their content. So, here's the mermaid scales and why she's literally disliked by absolutely nobody. If this video gets over 20,000 views, maybe I'll do another one. By another one, I mean another positive video. I really, really enjoyed making this video personally, so I don't really care how it performs at the end of the day because I just really like talking about someone that is just legitimately a great person. And I also want to say, I know it's going to seem like I ripped off that person who originally talked about the mermaid scales being loved intro because we both show comments saying we hate too much. I just want to say that is an actual insane coincidence. I wanted to make a positive video and show those comments and I watched their video after I finished this and we legitimately have the same exact intro because before when I clicked on it and didn't watch it, I saw a comment and I assumed that was on a hate video on mermaid scales. like the people were getting hate that made hate videos on her, but I hadn't seen the video, so I assumed I could do this intro. So, if this creator is watching thinking I copied them, I didn't. I'm really sorry. That's a really bad coincidence. I'm wondering what the comments are going to look like because this isn't really my usual upload. But, thank you for watching. I'll see you in the next [Music] one. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh. Ooh.
