when it comes to the Apple TV this little box that you see here for most people it's actually considered an overpriced box that Apple sales that's just meant to do similar functions to that of your smart TV but for me here I've been using it for a while now and it's actually changed the way I view TV now and the way I interact with some of my smart devices around the house it's so good to the point that I got not just one but two and I plan on getting more for the other smart TVs around the house in order to improve the user experience so in this video I'm going to be showing you a few of the things that I like about this Apple TV device and why the Apple TV is probably a device you might want to pay closer attention or look into if this device used to be a little bit pricey for you you will be happy to know that Apple actually dropped the price of the Apple TV 4K and you can see this is the current latest device that's offered by Apple right here the 64 gig version is going for 129 and the 128 gig version is going for 149 so it's a discount of about $ 20 to $30 compared to the prices that we had before something that seems to be traditional now that I don't like when it comes to even like premium high-end Smart TVs that go for like3 or $4,000 is that when you set up your premium Smart TV it seems to do something that actually Steve Jobs hated which the Appo TV gets right and that is the removal of ads when it comes to the Apple TV 4K the moment you power it on for the first time on the top section you can see you have what to watch section that's suggested for you depending on the current latest shows that are available but if you don't want to see ads on your Apple TV it allows you to be able to change the settings so if you go into your settings and you go to where it says applications right here now you can go to where it says TV and if you go to where it says top shelf you have the ability to change that from what to watch to what's next and now depending on the different shows that you watch instead of seeing ads you'll be suggested different shows here and this will allow you to catch up on your different various shows on the Apple TV without having or being overloaded with different shows and ads most Smart TVs or smart boxes out there have a very slow and sluggish user interface most of the times it's really hard to find your way around different applications or to perform even most basic task and watching friends and family trying to fle around and find their way around isn't the best experience but with the Apple TV the user experience is Simply the Best the setup process is one very simple thing that you have to do with the Apple TV and if you have an iPhone or an Apple device close by it's a matter of just scanning a QR code and agreeing to the terms and conditions and your your TV and your different applications as well as iCloud backed information will be automatically retrieved on your Apple TV so it's very simple and easy to set up as well something that I noticed in my experience when I connected my Apple TV 4K to my non 4K TV is that the picture quality actually improved a little bit and at the same time the color correction seemed to be more on point so that is something that you might possibly experience if you have an old TV that that's not 4K or that seems to get the colors quite wrong and with the iPhone you can actually communicate with your Apple TV easily and do the color correction one of the things that I like about the new Apple TV 4K is that the size has been reduced and the weight has been reduced by 50% because it doesn't have a fan and at the same time if you're a person that travels a lot or you spend a lot of time in hotels then I have a hack where I put Velcro on the back of my Apple TV and then when I get to a hotel or a place I'm staying temporarily I can put Velcro on the TV as well and that way I can be able to suspend the Apple TV and I can carry forward that enhanced user experience and now I won't have to think twice before I watch TV at my hotel or Airbnb location seamless integration with your other devices that are connected to the same network is another advantage of the Apple TV so this can be done simply by going to to your Control Center and if you have like smart home devices such as homep devices or smart audio you can always try and connect them here at the same time if you have airpods then it will also give you the ability to be able to connect them wirelessly without having to go through a hustle compared to most traditional TVs that are out there that are deemed smart the games that are offered on the Apple TV as well as the Apple TV arcade are way more advanced now keep in mind that the arcade is actually a subscription services so you have pretty cool games such as asphalt and rocket jet that are pretty popular and at the same time if you go to the App Store on the Apple TV you can download some other games on the top section you can see you have games that you can discover keep in mind that when it comes to the best games that can be played on Apple devices such as Resident Evil and so on the Apple TV has a disadvantage in this regard because it's internally limited by the memory that can be associated with game play so hopefully we'll get to see apple change that in the future what this means is that your iPhone actually can play better games than your Apple TV and even worse when it comes to your Mac or your iPad you can play more heavy duty games as compared to the Apple TV but I'm sure pretty soon cuz a lot of people have complained about this this is something that Apple will be able to change and of course if you have like a third party joystick or controller device it allows you to be able to connect it to your Apple TV such as the Playstation or Xbox controllers you can always connect those on your Apple TV by going into the settings and if you go to where it says remote and devices you can go to your Bluetooth section and add different remotes and controllers and now you can play the games that you have on your Apple TV using a third party controller let's say for example you lose your remote and you want to find it you now have the ability to do that on your iPhone if you go to the control center and you go to the TV remote function right here you can choose the remote that you want to find and once you've selected the remote you notice here you have the ability to find the remote and now if you click find the iPhone will tell you whether your remote is near or far and right here you can see the further I put it then the further this blue circle goes away from the white dot and if you bring it close it will tell you that your remote is here now there are third party cases that are being offered on Amazon that you can actually put your remote in and that way you can track it using an air tag and if you want to play sound you'll be able to play sound from the air tag speaking of controlling your Apple TV with your iPhone it's never been easier to do that so even if you don't want to use your Apple TV 4K remote you can easily use your iPhone to do it that so just select the Apple TV that you want to control and once it's connected like this as long as they are on the same network you can see this basically doubles down as a trackpad and you can go into the settings you can then go back go back again and use different functions if you want to multitask you can double tap this and it will give you that ability to multitask and you can see the different applications that I had opened if you press and hold the back button like this it will take you back to the application section or your Home tab and you can basically swipe up and down and this is another pretty cool advantage that the Apple TV has that's very sluggish on most Smart TVs out there today now you can see some of the applications here like YouTube Netflix and Amazon Prime among others that I downloaded on my Apple TV and because the Apple TV supports iCloud password and auto it's never been easier to sign in once you open the application a popup will come up on your iPhone and you just click sign in and it will authenticate with your iPhone that it's you with just one click and that way you'll be logged in seamlessly through your different applications by means of the iCloud password support Siri on the Apple TV is actually amazing so for example this is YouTube that you are seeing here and if I was to go to this video this is the euros and I'll show you one very cool feature that you can do with the Apple TV using Siri and here if you press and hold the side microphone icon right here that activates Series so I can say fast forward to about 3 minutes and boom you can see the video goes to about 3 minutes and this is YouTube so this feature works on third party applications such as YouTube If you have Netflix if you have um Prime TV hu VII or even in the actual Apple TV application this is a pretty cool feature that you can do if you're watching a movie and you don't understand what someone said you can press and hold and ask Siri what did they just say and Siri will automatically go back in the movie that you watching a few seconds and turn on captions so that you can see that and at the same time if you want to manually turn on caption by asking Siri or turn captions off this is something that you can do I can also use Siri to do different commands such as show me movies that were acted by Tom Cruz and you can see the different movies that Siri suggests so Minority Report this movie I actually don't know night and day and you can see this if you want to find movies for example show me movies directed by Brad Pit and you can see here different movies that the Apple TV suggest also you can use Siri to find some personal items such as photos and different contacts and Siri is very useful and is going to be upgraded in the latest Apple TV update that's coming up pretty soon multitasking is really easy on the Apple TV so as long as you just double tap this TV icon like this you can see it opens up the multitasking window and this way you can browse through your different windows or sections that you opened and once you find the one that you want you can continue and resume what you were doing in that applications if you realize you don't want to continue you can just just double tap and you can go back to the application that you want or the previous few pages that you were looking at Apple has added two different ways to quickly access your control center so if you press and hold the TV icon or button right here it activates the control center or alternatively you can just single tap the power button and this way you have access to your quick control center right here and you can be able to do or jump into the different sections that that you have for example if you want to jump into the settings application quickly you can go to the Wi-Fi section and if you go back you are now in the settings app and you can change some of the settings that you want to do at least for me in my experience for $129 the Appo TV 4K device really does enhance your user experience when it comes to the different TVs that you might have smart or even non-smart TVs at the same time if you are in the Apple ecosystem like you have an iPhone you have an apple one watch an iPad or a smart doorbell or smart cameras and devices in your house you can be able to integrate those to your Apple TV and bring them to the big screen there's also other different features such as bringing FaceTime to your TV and then having it on a big screen so there's so much to talk about but just for now those are some of the points that I thought I should highlight if you can also comment what was the itat moment or the turning point that made you go for the Apple TV or decide to upgrade to this device for me there's a high probability that if I get another TV for another room or something like that I'll probably be buying another Apple TV to just enhance the experience on that TV but if you can uh leave a
