Overview of VXIV2SA Mod Features

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to VXIV2SA, the entire GTA V map inside of GTA San Andreas. The current status of this mod is unknown, getting a working copy extremely hard, but contacting the creators even harder. The mod currently only resides on a social media platform called VK. It's a Russian platform, and the mod community that hosts the downloads for this mod.

are locked behind an invitation only group, to which I've been waiting for an invite now for several weeks. However I managed to track down an older build of this mod, and after 2 weeks of constant crashing, and installing the mod around 20 times, I finally have managed to get it to work, to a somewhat stable performance. But there's another surprise, this mod not only adds the GTA V map, it also adds GTA IV.

Immediately after spawning in you're greeted with this introduction screen at the Los Santos International Airport, and immediately you have free reign over the entire map. Firstly you might notice there's tons of ported vehicles. Not only does this mod add a map, sound effects and more, it also adds tons of vehicles.

While driving around the city and surrounding areas I discovered many familiar vehicles that you might recognise. From supercars to sedans and motorcycles. You might even spot an adder speeding down the highway, a police motorcycle in Hot Pursuit, and even the blimp in downtown Los Santos.

Speaking of which, look how beautiful this mod actually is. This is an insane draw distance, allowing us to see all the way deep into downtown. Very impressive for the renderware engine, the engine that San Andreas is built within. I bet they never expected that this would happen 20 years later. And sure while there might be some popping and loading issues, The fact that this map with this ambitious of a draw distance is even working on 20 year old hardware is seriously impressive.

So let's start off with the city. So I decided to pay a visit to Grove Street. CJ has finally broken the matrix, he's broken the 4th dimension and swapped universes.

We can still see how this area would look though if it was ported into the renderware engine. And this house also has an interior left over from the single player mission Hood Safari in GTA 5. Speaking of interiors, there's many to be found across the map. The gas station just up the road from Grove Street has a somewhat complete interior.

The adult hangout zone has some modelling to it, and I even visited Franklin's mansion later on in this video. Bespucci Beach now looks absolutely incredible. I also opted to keep the San Andreas style graphics, not only because it lagged badly installing a graphics mod, Also this orange sky really makes this whole thing feel kind of surreal like kind of a liminal space or a back rooms kind of thing. A 3D character and rules of a 3D universe painted over a HD landscape.

It's really interesting and when you think about it, it's kind of scary at the same time. There's also a new feature that's been added. There's working gang wars. I thought this was seriously impressive. impressive that they could get this working well enough to somewhat function.

Sometimes the gang members just stand there doing nothing, but other times it works perfectly well. It looks like there's actually quite a lot of zones across the hood area that you can take over, and I did see some Grove Street guys hanging around after I took over their hood, so me and him went for a drive to explore a bit more of the city. Some areas look really impressive, while others still need some work. For example I was driving down the canals enjoying the scenery when I suddenly hit something that sent my vehicle flying.

And well if anyone can explain this, then be my guest. But I'm willing to overlook these issues at this point in time, after all this is someone's hard work that seriously deserves more credit. In fact I don't think any other YouTuber has covered this mod in very close detail at all.

There's actually a ton of brilliant features that have been added. First of all, you can now lean out of the vehicle and do proper drive-bys just like in GTA 5. There's also now more sound effects for weapons and stuff like that. The pickup sound effects have changed as well as sirens and other miscellaneous features.

It definitely makes the game feel more realistic. I even paid a visit to Los Santos Customs and discovered that it does in fact work and you can get neons installed as well as some other vehicular upgrades. There's also a yacht out to sea near the Vespucci Pier which is the same model from GTA Online.

Don't mind me flying in my buzzard as well, it's a pretty cool vehicle that's been ported to the game. but sadly this one doesn't have any rockets but don't worry because in a minute I've got something really awesome to show you guys related to that. But this yacht has an interior, the view looks stunning and the lighting and objects within the interior are all placed really well.

Some serious work went into this and I'm sure you'll like it. agree with that. But as we all know there's much more to GTA V than Los Santos so I think we should shift our attention to the countryside and northern area of the map.

Firstly look at how cool these wind farm turbines look. I never thought that I'd see these in GTA San Andreas. I think the countryside and the desert area of the map is the most unstable at the moment because I think there's just so much land mass especially on Mount Chiliad that the game needs to render.

Sandy shores looks really cool. And with the right lighting, it actually looks better than San Andreas, like it looks like a game that could have came out much later. I even noticed that NPCs aren't just wandering aimlessly around the streets, they're all doing something interesting, at least they're not just walking around in straight lines. And sometimes these really gorgeous light rays will burst over the horizon, and that's the only graphical mod that seems to be installed on this project.

You'll probably recognise this, this is the plane shot down in the mission Minor Turbulence in GTA 5, the Trevor mission. Well the Alamo Sea in this mod doesn't currently have any water, so I decided to go exploring and discovered that you can literally walk on the bed of the lake. And driving a Porsche or a Comet through Rattan Canyon at full speed feels incredible with this mod.

The vehicles all have unique handling, it's kind of hard to explain, it's a mix between GTA San Andreas and GTA 5, maybe a hybrid of the two. You may also recognise this tunnel here that connects Mount Chiliad and countryside areas to paleto bay i decided it would be a fun idea to fly a plane and explore before i went up to the top of mount chiliad firstly how cool do these rockets sound I don't know how they did this but the flames and fireballs now look really really cool. There's even a version of the tank from GTA V as well.

So I decided to go and cause some carnage before I headed back to Los Santos. But first I wanted to go up to the top of Mount Chiliad to see if I could see the city from the very top. But to no surprise that wasn't the case. I don't know if my computer would have been able to handle it on this engine if I had. But the really cool easter egg mural is up here as well.

I also decided to do a little skydive off the top with a parachute and the view was really really cool. Unfortunately the chairlifts don't work but I didn't really expect them to anyway. I wanted to pay a quick visit to the observatory.

I wanted to see whether I could finally see the city from there. I have to say it looks really great from up here but the downtown is just outside the render distance. So I headed over to Franklin's mansion and decided to drive on up through the hills. pulling into his garage and going inside to my surprise there was tons of objects and props all over the place i didn't actually expect to see so much detail in this property and this interior i expected it to be extremely low poly and low detail however the view from the balcony is absolutely incredible and i tried to visit michael's house but unfortunately for whatever reason there's so many props in there and it starts lagging and the game would crash frequently So I guess Franklin's Mansion is the best we're going to get when we go exploring in some of these interiors. One thing I do want to point out is that you can go to the airport and buy an airplane ticket over to Liberty City.

But I think that's definitely smart to leave that for a future video. If you want to see me exploring Liberty City in GTA San Andreas then let me know down in the comment section below. The only way I know these videos are doing well is if it gets a lot of engagement and I do often read the comments. So let me know down below if that's something you want to see.

If you're new around here, make sure you subscribe so you don't miss it. And while you're at it, why don't you check out one of my other videos on screen here. And I'll see you guys in another video. Adios.
