  • Secured water for the trip

Fishing in Hashima City

• Searched for fishing spots on Google Maps
• Found a place called Horitsu Kappa Pond
  • 500 yen for fishing; 1000 yen with tool rental
• Local people helped with fishing techniques
• Caught first fish (crucian carp) after some perseverance
• Given prepped fish to take home

Daily Chores and Dinner in the Car

• Car wash and laundromat in Gifu City
• Prepared dinner alone in the car
  • Ingredients: leftover daikon radish, carrots, pork, and sweetfish
  • Cooked rice with water fetched in the morning
• Made fried sweetfish and miso soup
  • Double fried to make it crispy
• Enjoyed the meal but found it more enjoyable to eat with others
• Stored leftover miso soup securely for the next day

Reunion and Gunma Prefecture Trip

• Picked up a friend after dinner
• Traveled back to Gunma Prefecture
  • Last day in Gunma
  • Climbed Mt. Tanigawa with a friend from Kyushu

Climbing Mt. Tanigawa

• Traveled by bicycle to the mountain
• Climbed 1963 meters in foggy conditions
  • Challenging rocky terrain
• Reached the summit with no visibility initially
• Enjoyed lunch at the summit; later clear skies revealed stunning views
• Descended and celebrated with food

• Planned trip to Saitama Prefecture
