Tips for Improving in War Thunder

after playing this game for over 12 years I've come to the conclusion that most people who suck at War Thunder suck because of any of the following four or even kind of five reasons I don't say that you suck at War Thunder to be mean but to be truthful hell I have some vehicles I suck at and some matches where I am total booty chatter we all have those days this video will be more about avoiding the things that make us bad if you want I have videos that will help you to get good too so check those out linked below and so you know I'm sometimes going to be recording myself doing the things that I'll be talking about avoiding simply because it's easier to record that way now before we start some people are going to say I don't suck at War Thunder I'm in the top 10% of players well if that's the case this video isn't for you it's for the people that continue to struggle and don't know why it's for the people that drop out of a match after a single death because of rest stration or if they play airb have to resort to NPC kills because they cannot get player and are not flying stuck this video is for those people who are so frustrated that they think it's the game's fault and nothing that they're doing is wrong this video is to fix those issues and make you into a better player I want everyone to be as good as possible because while I'm not the best player myself I still have 12 plus years of experience in War Thunder and want to help everybody get a little bit better so you yourself can have a better time so that said let's fix those issues and get into the video now for the first thing that sucky people do in War Thunder they give away their position or just use stupid positioning now for ground RB they shoot like mad unnecessarily at the beginning of a match or really at any part of the match and give away their position and thus die or they expose their tank when it would otherwise be behind cover they could even run like a bat out of hell into an open field whatever you end up doing be mindful of your own position and also of likely enemy positions of course you can't know where enemies are going to be 100% of the time but everyone can still do their best to minimize the risk of being seen now for air battles it's a little bit different and typically these people stay low and don't bother getting altitude until you get into higher BR Jets staying low has a negative tactical value and will result in a ton of wasted energy as you will be at a huge deficit versus aircraft that are at higher altitudes than you once the actual fighting starts they will easily be able to swoop down and pick you off if you stay low gain at least some altitude and you will be much happier depending on your plane even a 2 to 4° climb should be extremely easy and barely noticeable though a climb this shallow will not be too beneficial it's better than nothing really most 3.0 BR prop Flames can easily climb upwards of 8 or even 10° and be extremely comfortable overall though between air and ground battles what I'm saying is be the Hunter and don't be hunted the next thing about sucky players is that they're unaware of their surroundings let's say you're a guy in a tank and you just randomly pop in front of your ally who is clearly aiming at the enemy don't do that let's say you are the guy who is aiming but you somehow don't see a heavy tank barreling down the road open your eyes while you aren't going to see everything trying to be aware of what's in your immediate vicinity is a star once you master the area that's let's just say 50 m around you start getting better at picking out enemies from a further distance also try to turn up enemy engine noise in your options as this is a Wonder ful way to approximate how close an enemy is to you and about what direction it's in for aircraft just use your camera to look around do this often especially once you're near where fighting will take place it might sound excessive but this could easily prevent an early death by a crafty enemy that drops in behind you unseen from a higher altitude the next thing that saki players do is that they buy into top tier with having little or no experience this one is self-explanatory while you can buy whatever Vehicles you want if you're a person with little to no experience in higher BR matches whether it's for air ground or even Naval you will be annihilated it is a totally different game than how lower BRS function things are much faster there are many different things to keep track of and the most highly skilled players are often times playing in those matches in short it is a combination that will spell Doom for most new players you will be out of your element if you have little experience and jump into top tier if you're going to purchase a vehicle at all what I suggest is to purchase a mid BR premium to get used to a less Advanced version of top tier so that you can have a diluted feel for it at least again to a point ideally however your first high or top tier experience will be after you've already grinded out several High VR vehicles in the regular Tech Tree which will then allow you to already have some experience under your belt and like I said this goes for every single game mode top tier is extremely difficult if you have little to no experience playing anything even near High BRS the fourth thing that sucy War Thunder players do is that they get tunnel vision and or don't help their allies when going for a kill people will often times totally miss their Ally that's being killed or needs some sort of assistance whether this comes in the form of an air battle where your ally is chasing an enemy plane and has an enemy plane on himself so you then go to steal his plane without covering his six or you just look wherever your ally is looking in ground battles and not where he's being hit from don't be that guy always go to help your allies first and foremost kill the people that are killing your allies and it will result I guarantee it in a higher win rate oh and of course if you have the ability help them repair in ground battles and so far as tunnel vision is concerned a good air example of this is if a bunch of Allied planes dive down for a single easy to kill strike aircraft thus giving up their altitude and energy for a kill that they were not likely to get anyways and of course this goes for ground battles as well where for example you might have three or four allies looking at the same exact enemy tank all while you can easily hear enemy engine just around the corner as they are about to flank everybody on your team and totally wipe you guys out do not go for the one kill when you can get two three or even four and also again help your team win and if you guys have been watching my videos for any amount of time I hope you guys know I'm not mean I just like saying some videos in very Curt ways and this is one of those examples now finally if you want a more philosophical take as to why you aren't that good it's probably because you need to find your own way to play don't try to play like other people find your own way to play and get good at it it's called playing video games for a reason once you start stressing yourself out and treating it like work it's no longer playing find out how you can have fun and you'll likely find an effective play style that you'll enjoy for a long time regardless of if people in chat say that you suck or whatever the case may be just know that you are trying to get better and you will eventually be a lot better and if nothing else I hope you're having fun oh and the final reason why you suck is because you just use a booster what are you crazy
