which you can find on bright space Community this month we're highlighting the following features right space editor features a storage location for feedback attachments in assignments discussions and quizzes the homepage widget expansion pack features an improved user experience with a slim announcements widget bulk edit and offset dates for recurring intelligent agents in manag dates in widgets the custom hosted widget Replacement Service is now available in production and finally a summary of all the other features this month let's take a closer look at this month's features with this release when instructors access assignments discussions or quizzes and use the insert stuff file picker to attach feedback those files are now stored in the feedback files location this storage location is designated for the learner feedback area Learners can review their feedback files from the grades page just like files attached from feedback files note that only feedback added from the overall feedback field and the completion summary page in quizzes appears in grades for Learners similar to the feedback file files once feedback is deleted it cannot be restored previously when an instructor attached feedback files through the insert stuff file picker the files were stored in manage files the Brin space editor feature implements the following Pi item d26 29 student view of grades tool easy access to all grades and feedback regardless of assessment tool thank you to all those who put forward this Pi suggestion to implement this feature the bright space editor feature Fe is available to all clients and is automatically enabled it is not dependent on any additional configuration variables or permissions the slim announcements widget now provides an improved settings interface and new options for configuration to be more responsive and userfriendly users can set the following options a default announcement image the number of announcements to be displayed which is now a required field option and the option to always display pinned announcements previously the slim announcements widget did not support pinning announcements to add a default announcement image navigate to the widget and select configure this widget from the actions dropdown menu enter the file name into default announcement image you can also use the widget config dialog to set the number of announcements displayed default of three to have pinned announcements always displayed click the always display pin announcements box once you're finished click save the homepage page widget expansion pack feature is available to all clients who have the homepage widget expansion pack with the slim announcements widget enabled this feature is automatically enabled moderator roles must have the d2l.com LCS widgets. slim announcements. context override configuration variable enabled to create announcements with this release users can edit and offset the dates of multiple intelligent agents that have already been set up with a recurring schedule for example daily or weekly in addition to editing an intelligent agent in the intelligent agent tool users can now use bulk edit dates to add or remove a new start date due date or end date or use bulk offset dates to offset those dates from the manage dates tool previously intelligent agents had to be manually edited or offset in the intelligent agents tool as of this release intelligent agents with a one-time run schedule do not appear in managed dates and must be updated in the intelligent agents tool editing intelligent agents with a onetime run schedule in manage dates is under consideration for a future enhancement navigate to admin tools manage dates in the filter by tool section select specific tools intelligent agent then click apply filter you can select multiple agents by checking their boxes click bulk edit dates in the bulk edit dates dialogue make the desired changes [Music] when complete click save this workflow is the same for bulk offet dates the manage dates feature implements the following Pi items d347bhf [Music] 3 Edit dates on multiple intelligent agents at once d6643 and D 7321 include intelligent agents if managed dates and d915 4 and d98 199 bulk offset intelligent agent run dates with manag dates thank you to all those who put forward these pie suggestions to implement this feature the manag dates feature is available to all clients to enable ensure that users have the manage dates C manage dates tool tool and intelligent agents manage agents permissions enabled for their roles this feature is not dependent on any additional configuration variables or permissions in the December 2023 version 202312 release the custom hosted version of widgets in the homepage widget expansion pack hwe reached the end of support Milestone to assist clients in finding instances of custom hosted widgets to replace them with system widgets the custom hosted widget Replacement Service was released in non-production environments in April 2024 version 20244 with this release this service is now available in all affected production environments this feature is particularly beneficial for sites where custom hosted widgets are installed on numerous homepages the service runs as a background task on the bright space site from the custom hosted widgets Page by clicking replace the replacement service scans the entire bright space site and performs the following actions confirm entitlement and Tool status catalog all affected homepages and courses migrate configuration files migrate rule configurations replace custom hosted widgets and uninstall custom hosted widgets when the service completes all tasks it sends a notification to the update alert section represented by the Bell icon of the bright space main navigation bar the widgets feature is available to all clients who use the custom hosted version of widgets and is automatically enabled for those clients cents this functionality is not dependent on new or existing configuration variables finally let's take a quick look at the other features for this month's release with the assignments tool annotations updates from version 20234 do0 to version 2024 do30 and Google and Microsoft 365 options are now available in file upload in product feedback now introduced into bright
