Israel's Spiritual Journey: Marriage and Repentance

welcome back to black history from the Bible I hope you taking the time to watch our first lesson which is called the color and ackerson's and if not I would encourage you to do so because it is the foundation of this four-part series with that you are here at our second lesson which is the marriage divorce and remarriage of Israel I wanted to take this lesson to share with you the trials and tribulation that Israel endure by disobeying their God the Most High had married himself unto Israel and time and time again Israel went a whoring after other gods which the Most High God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob considers that adultery so he had indeed divorce Judah in Israel his Brides however the Bible does tell a day where he makes a new covenant and re marries his bride or the church as a whole Israel as a whole this lesson dives deep into that marriage divorce and remarriage thank you for joining me in Georgia lesson [Music] [Music] [Music] all praises to the Mohs I got or Abraham Isaac and Jacob and peace to everyone joining us on this program this is once again the fountain of Israel Bible studies program and as always I'm honored to stand before you on the Lord's Sabbath day now we've already begun our series called black history from the Bible now this is part two than the four part lesson now before we go any further if you have not seen part one which is called the color and the curses let me urge you to go see that particular lesson first that lesson is very very visual and it will help you and enhance your comprehension and learning of the subsequent lessons okay this is part two the marriage divorce and remarriage of Israel again this is the marriage divorce and remarriage of Israel now we covered a lot of things in the first part we went from the actual appearance of Israelites of ancient Hebrews and Israelites we started of course with the appearance of Egyptians that was very important it's a foundational part of the appearance of the Israelites because we had to see that if the original Egyptians were of a very dark skin and the Israelites were often mistaken as one of them we can draw reasonable conclusions that both races were in fact of a dark-skinned color so we covered that we covered the appearance we covered their hair we cover where they come from we cover the table of Nations we covered a lot of ground we even looked at a few examples in Hollywood when they show that that that the world in Hollywood and society at large has given us Clues have to have actually said that the children of the Diaspora diaspora are in fact the original Hebrews now I know there are plenty of people out there that they just simply don't believe that and that's okay every I encourage everyone to do their own research do your own do diligence and then be convinced in your own mind and that's perfectly fine we went over many many different facts on the history we were looking at archeology we were looking at writings the only thing we didn't get a chance to get into really was the language the afro-asiatic language and I'll put a graphic on the screen for you guys for that we've even seen some history with Columbus hi guys and welcome back to black history from the Bible I just wanted to point out a couple of things that you guys may find interesting and I found some similarities some discoveries that is entitled Christopher Columbus and the participation of the Jews in the Spanish and Portuguese discoveries by dr. K Serling I want to point out a few things for you guys here on page actually page 97 is where I want to go out highly recommend that you guys pick up a copy of this book but I wanted to show this to you page 297 start right here at the second paragraph it is not improbable that the Jews who were driven from Nineveh by Salman Azhar wandered into uninhabited regions according to Herrera the Indians cherished the tradition that Yucatan had been settled by tribes from the Orient several writers give the exact route by which the Jews traveled until they settled in Cuba Laura Kingsborough even asserts that they cross bering straits and they then proceeded to Mexico and Peru of more interest than the mode of migration is the question whether any analogies in language in traditions in religious conceptions or in religious ceremonies to justify the acceptance of this ethnological theory let's take a look rolled ins chief argument in support of his view is the language of the Indians in Espanola Cuba Jamaica and the adjoining islands he contends that it has many resemblances to Hebrew in fact he even calls it corrupted Hebrew he asserts that such names as Cuba and Haiti are Hebrew and that they were first applied by the earliest caste Kasich's the chief of leaders in casein so forgive me if i pronounced that wrong guys continues who discovered him and peopled the islands the names of rivers and a person's in use among the natives are derived from the hebrew for example Cana from the Hebrew and stream yawns from Jonah yay yay yay from Jacob Ari's as arias Sabo as Seba maxi from Boise the names of their tools of their little canoes Arkansas the name of ax e for pepper the name of the storehouse for maize grain and and the like all point to the Hebrew language this is very very important for us to recognize that in at this time and it points out where this book was actually when it was published over here published date was 1894 so this is a very old book I want you guys to take notice of that that these languages Hebrew all these words and names derived from the Hebrew and these are they're talking about people or natives that were over in the Americas okay over here in America and Central and South America but let's continue to look at this just a little bit more their rites and ceremonies as well as their language form one of the main arguments in favor of this theory of descent saying that they come from the ancient Hebrew through migration brothers and sisters now circumcision prevailed among the Indians circumcision we know that is Torah they often bathe in rivers and streams okay many of the Hebrew ancestors have done that they refrain from touching the dead we know that story and from tasting blood definitely tourists see Leviticus they had definite fast days we know what that is marriage which sister laws was permitted if they were childless widows okay see the lever right law wise we're just guarded for new help meats okay they also sacrifice first fruit on high mountains and under shady trees they had temples and carried a holy art before them in time war folks this is not a coincidence it cannot be a coincidence they were also like the ten tribes inclined to idol worship of course obviously that's where Israel fall doubt but that is still a mark of Israel all writers and travelers agree more about that there were many Jewish types of faith among the Indians and Aborigines of America guys I just wanted to point that out to you guys and give you the cover of the book again here again this is Christopher Columbus and the participation of the Jews in the Spanish and Portuguese discoveries by dr. M K Serling so I'll let you guys get back to the lesson thanks for joining me on this segment discussing the language of migrants and say migrants I'm just being nice we know this is really slave trade slave slavery and taking for the most part that is the mark of being in Israelite as well there had been some migrations but these are some interesting discoveries outlined in this book there's so much more to go over but I don't have time to go in in this particular video but I did want to give you enough just to whet your whistle whistle and show you that it is written a long time ago by people with some level of authorities a professor of history in Harvard College and that's by Charles gross PhD so you have something there until next time Shalom and peace Israel we've seen some old writings where I was talking about and rabbi and they were talking about the blessings of Noah's sons and there's an interesting description even in there hi guys welcome back and thank you for joining me in this black history from the Bible in this particular lesson we're talking about the color and the curses of the people of Israel or the Israelites in history so I've looking at a book here and this book in here's Google and is the image of the black and Jewish culture a case three the other so I wanted to look at that is my Abraham melamed but I found something interesting here in this book that will help us with our lesson now this is a rat rabbi parque de rabbi eliezer or remember this name here cuz imma show you something else here in a second okay contains the Midrash on Noah's blessings to his sons Shem and his sons are described as black and comely japhet Jeff it or a fat and his sons as white and handsome while him and his sons are black as the Raven in the original shims blackness is expressed in a positive way by association with black and comely in a song in the Song of Songs though hams blackness becomes negative through association with the Raven this however did not satisfy the copiers and compilers of the printed versions okay so this is where things go left brothers and sisters they found it hard to accept Shem as black with the concomitant danger of blurring the difference between him and ham as a result some versions tended to whiten Shem as early as the 13th century a manuscript described Shem has white in the venetian edition 2nd prince in 1544 and in the second Venusian Edition 1608 the original version appears in the body of the text in the table of contents however we find blessed shell and japhet with whiteness love Newton and ham with blackness shahe shem becomes white in all respects and instead of the dangerous common denominator with black ham he gets to resemble the attractive white japhet in parallel fashion yes that's whiteness becomes more positive in the early printed versions Constantinople 1514 beneath 1544 when the objective handsome japhet is added to white furthermore the end ambiguous description given of ham as black as a raven is replaced instead by the unequal typical black and ugly Jews were trying to resemble the fair light effect ie the European identified as a model to emulate and thus more handsome in culture a process discern elsewhere as well okay so I'm gonna stop it there but I want you guys to notice what they're actually talking about took a snapshot of this picture it's a little small but I will read it for you and it says here speaking of remember Pike Rabbi Eliezer the blessing of Noah's son here's written in Hebrew but down here in English it says Noah and his sons were blessed as it was written and the Creator blessed them with their gifts and their inheritance of all the earth okay now this is the Midrash shem and his sons were blessed black and handsome ham and his sons were blessed black like the Raven japhet and his sons were blessed white and beautiful so this is what that particular book was speaking of when it was showing the Association but I think one of the things that is not touched upon enough or ignored is where it says here that him and his sons were blessed black like the Raven so even though it did not give another adjective like it says in shimla says black and handsome and yet fit it says white and beautiful it still says that him was no less black and so when we look at our history and we look at you know Ethiopian and cush and stuff like that in other words the Egyptian nation hams family and his lineage begin to rule the earth first and they were blessed with all the treasures of the earth I mean no one can deny Egypt and all their riches and you know we can't deny all the pharaohs or Nimrod so on and so forth so we have to pay attention to history and look at some of the things that are being said here so not that I'm saying some of these miss radishes are gospel truth but I do find it interesting that in some printed materials that it will describe it would describe the sons of Noah as two of them being black one being white and then you know history starts to take liberties with what is previously printed just because they don't like something then they begin to revise it and change it to something else appreciate you guys joining me let's continue with the lesson so now what we're gonna do is we're gonna look at the relationship with the Most High God and the children of Israel we're gonna see where the relationships started how it got established the wedding proposal where Israel's supposed to be a people unto their God then we'll also see the divorce and then the remarriage so without any further ado let's go ahead and get started we will begin this lesson in Deuteronomy chapter 30 Deuteronomy chapter 30 and I will begin reading at verse 1 actually Deuteronomy 30 verse 1 and it reads and it shall come to pass when all these things are come upon thee the blessing and the curse which I have set before thee and thou shall call them to mine among all the nations whether the LORD thy God had driven thee and shall return unto the Lord thy God and shall obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day thou and thy children with all thy heart and with all thy soul that then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity and have compassion upon thee and will return and gather thee from all the nations whether the LORD thy God has scattered thee I was dropped to verse 8 and I shall return and obey the voice of the Lord and do all his commandments which I command the this day verse 11 for this commandment which I command thee this day it is not hidden from thee neither is it far off it is not in heaven that thou should say who shall go up for us to heaven and bring it unto us that we may hear it and do it neither is it beyond the sea that thou should say who shall go over the sea for us and bring it unto us that we may hear it and do it but the word is very nice unto thee in thy mouth and in thy heart that thou mayst do it residence sisters this is how we have to understand it is very near to us the Bible the word of the Most High is right in your lap it is right before you all the instructions are right there all we have to do is read it study it obey it and trust in it because it is right there it is not as big a mystery as we've been told it's not too terribly hard to understand give it a little bit of effort and a little bit of study but I know that we've been given something different I know we are a people robbed and spoiled stripped from your land all your heritage book taken from you give him back to you repackage in the form of what they call Christianity today lost language everything lost knowledge of self don't know who you are one of the few people learned a few races on a planet who don't really know their history who don't really know where they're from then have the original language everyone else all the other races they could say hey my ancestry goes back dot dot dot fill in the blank but the American black person and not just America I focus on America simply because that's where we are right now but we know the children of Israel would scatter through all the nations of the world and what is their identity in our first lesson we were talking about the by words how many races do you know out there that has and that had an identity change from generation to generate into generation boy color in word Negro african-american afro-american all these identity changes yet the other Asians races and the other nations just consistent oh I'm German we go way back oh I'm Swiss Italian but the American black man is a different story you ask the average person you know what nationality are you say I'm african-american to continent um afro-american what is that Oh an African from where African is a really big continent last time I checked so there is a people there's a people out there that has indeed an identity crisis when you agree we're gonna continue let's go to Romans chapter 10 Romans chapter 10 and I will pick it up at verse 1 brethren my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved for I bear the record that they have a zeal of God but not according to knowledge for they being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God now if we consider all the captivity Zand we consider you know slavery and things like that we can definitely agree with this statement we can definitely see where they have not submitted to the righteousness of God they're ignorant of it we didn't know what was the righteousness of God we didn't know that and all of a sudden we get it back but we had to try to establish our own sense of righteousness verse 4 for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believe it that's another lesson for understanding for Moses describe that righteousness which is of the law that the man which do it those things shall live by them but the righteousness which is of faith speak it on this why say not in thy heart who shall ascend into heaven and that is to bring down from above or who shall descend into the deep that is to bring Christ again from the dead but what saith the word is nigh thee even in thy mouth and in thy heart that is the Word of Faith which we preach and this is what we're talking about all this has to be coupled with face yes we need to return unto Torah why because that is the Covenant that's how we get into covenant with that's the original agreement and it has to be done with faith faith that our God would do as he said he would do but you still have to come into covenant into an agreement not much of an agreement if it's one-sided you get to do what you want and then the most high still have to keep his end of the deal then something is fair let's go back to Deuteronomy 30 once more Deuteronomy chapter 30 and verse 15 and it reads see I have set before thee this day life and death and I mean life and good and death and evil and then I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments yeah that means living and multiply and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whether thou goest to possess it but if that heart turned away now he gives us a warning gives us a warning but if that hard to turn away so that thou will not hear but shall be drawn away and worship of the gods and serve them and announced unto you this day that ye shall surely perish and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land whether thou passes over Jordan to go to possess it now read verse 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death blessings and cursing therefore choose life that thou that both thou and thy seed may live so he gave him some advice and he gave us the terms and then he also gave advice you can choose life or death life and good death it's up to you and then he gives you some advice and he says okay you know what to life and now we know history tells us or at least the Bible tells us that they chose death and that's why when you look at the first lesson that's why they went through all of that so why they went through these captivity and people were wondering what I thought God look yes God does love his people but he gave His Word and said this is the deal this is what I'll do for you if you break it this what I'll have to do to you I've said many times before there's good news there's bad news the good news is the Lord keeps his word the bad news is the Lord keeps his word so he's gonna do you good you keep his word but if he say he's gonna do you bad he's gonna keep that word too he will bring evil upon you and we know Israel broke the cutter let's continue let's go to Exodus 19 Exodus 19 and let's look at this marriage proposal how about that since this lesson is the mayor's divorce and remarriage let's look at this marriage proposal Exodus 19 join me there and I will pick it up at verse 1 first one reads this way in the 3rd month when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt the same day came Bay into the wilderness of Sinai but they were departed from reffered em and were come to the desert of Sinai and had pitched in the wilderness and there Israel camped before the mountain and Moses went up unto God and the Lord called unto Him our mountain saying thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob and tell the children of Israel you have seen what I did unto the Egyptians and how I bear you on eagle's wings and brought you unto myself now therefore if you will obey my voice indeed and keep my covenant covenant covenant covenant then you shall be a peculiar treasure upon unto me above all people for all the earth is mine Wow watch this verse 6 and he shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation these are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel and Moses came and call for the elders of the people and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him and all the people answered together and all that the Lord has spoken we will do and Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord and the Lord said unto Moses lo I come unto thee in a thick cloud that the people may hear when I speak with thee and believe thee forever and Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord now remember you guys have to remember that the Lord said I'm gonna speak to him I'm gonna be in appear in the cloud I'm gonna speak to him so they know when you say something that I said they'll know it's true they'll believe you forever let's see the response and the Lord said unto Moses going to the people and sanctified them today and tomorrow and let them wash their clothes and be ready against the third day for the third day the Lord will come down and the sight of all the people upon Mount Sinai ok so we take a look at that he we have to get ready we know he's coming down we know it's about to happen ok now let's go up a couple of chapters and go to Exodus chapter 24 I'm gonna go up a little bit and let's see the acceptance once again Exodus 24 verse 3 reads this way and Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the judgments and all the people are answered with one voice and said all the words which the LORD hath said we will do you drop down to verse 7 it says this and he took the book of the Covenant and read it in the audience of the people and they said all that the Lord has said we will do and be obedient three times they agree yes three times so they took the proposal if we read the whole thing we know he told him to the deal did the terms of the deal so you guys on your own time just go ahead and read the terms of deal but he just said he's gonna lay down his law statutes Commandments judgments precepts all that stuff and I'll take care of you do you agree and we've heard their answer we got their answer right ok so that's what we have to concern ourselves with they got there and they answer him ok so now let's see why God did this we gotta say okay he made this decision let's see why go to Deuteronomy chapter 7 Deuteronomy chapter 7 please okay now when you guys go to Deuteronomy chapter 7 I will pick it up at verse 7 so that's Deuteronomy 7 and 7 and it reads the Lord did not set his love upon you nor choose you because you were more in number than any people for you were the fewest of all people but because the Lord loved you and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers had the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you out of the house of bondage from the land of Pharaoh king of Egypt know therefore that the LORD thy God He is God the faithful guy which keep it covenant keep it covenant because remember there's a part where if you break it he has to do something too right keep it covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations that would include all of us now wouldn't it okay through a thousand generations keeping that covenant see brothers and sisters now you see why Israel fell out of favor for a period of time many periods of time captivity the captivity into captivity and now Israel is scattered throughout the world right now let us continue verse 10 he says and repaid them that hate him to their face to destroy them he will not be slack to him that hated him he will repay him to his face so a lot of people if we look at these tragedies in these atrocities the evils that been brought upon Israel we can see right here he said he's gonna do that the people who hate you want to disrespect the Covenant so he's gonna go extra hard on the people he's married to right there's no one who's betraying him because the expectation is higher and it's the only people who said yeah I agree to the terms so yeah so when you look at all the tragedy and the atrocities that Israel has suffered you see why why slavery why being in Rome and Coliseum's and stuff why why why ransacking you know the temple and you broke the covenant and you knew better that's what we have to remember we always got to keep it in perspective cause a lot of times people kind of get the knowledge itself and kind of get this idea of biblical truth and then they start hating everybody else which is a big waste of time we need to look at ourselves look at we can look at our ancestors we can look at ourselves sure we don't have to like injustice or anything like that but when you know the cause let's continue we're still in Deuteronomy then we'll go to chapter 10 Lutron me go to chapter 10 and once you were there I will begin to pick it up at verse 12 Deuteronomy 10 12 through 16 12 reach this way and now Israel what does the Lord thy God required thee but to fear the Lord thy God to walk in all his ways and to love him and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul it's the same thing that Christ said when they asked him which is the greatest commandment right where are things that he said okay so we know that's not new okay verse 13 to keep the commandments of the Lord and his statutes which I command thee this day for thy good behold a heaven in that and the heaven of heavens is the LORD thy God the earth also with all that therein is only the Lord had a delight in thy fathers to love them and he chose their seed after them even you above all people as it is this day so now we know he chose so we know he has a higher standard he said I told your fathers and I said to your fathers I'm gonna bless their seeds whether they deserve it or not he chose you chose you before you got here because he made a promise to your forefathers but he has a certain expectation that's why it's our job to learn what are the terms of the agreement does it not make you to be punished for the breach of contract and you don't know what's written in it that can get you really frustrated now wouldn't it so it's probably a good idea if we find out what's in the what what are the terms so we can get back in alignment so only the Lord had had a delight in thy father's to love them and to chew and he chose their seat after them even you above all people as it is this day circumcised therefore the foreskin of your heart and be no more stiff neck so when I'm telling you of reading the book and saying look this is this is what we need this is what the Lord wants us to do this is what it's required of us might be a good idea not to be so stiff neck I'm not saying trust me I'm saying read it that's what I'm saying let's get the terms of the agreement you want your you want you know you want your your suffering to minimize to kind of lessen a little bit want a little relief from your mental anguish a little bit then read the covenant and try to get back in alignment with that covenant we're gonna continue go to Exodus 32 Exodus chapter 32 I'll also pick that up at verse 1 and it reads and when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron and said unto Him up make us God's which shall go before us for as for this Moses the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt we want not what has become of him and Aaron said unto them break off the golden earrings which are in your ears of your why of your wives so earrings okay of your sons the earrings were in your son's and of the your daughters and bring them unto me and all the people break off the golden earrings which were in their ears and brought them unto Aaron and he received them at their hand and fashioned it with graven tools after he had made it a molten calf and they said these be thy God's o Israel which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt and when Aaron saw it he built an altar before it and Aaron made proclamation and said tomorrow is a feast to the Lord and they rose up early on the morrow and offer burnt offerings and brought peace offerings and the people sat down to eat and to drink and rose up to play and the Lord said unto Moses go get thee down for thy people which thou brought us out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves they have turn aside quickly the way which I commanded them they have made them a molten calf and have worshipped it and have sacrificed their on - and said these beat of God's o Israel which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt that's also a picture of God sees and hear everything doesn't okay verse nine and the Lord said unto Moses I have seen these people and behold it is a stiff-necked people now therefore let me alone that my wrath one second let now therefore let me alone that my wrath may wax hot against them and that I may consume them and I will make of thee a great nation cease I'm gonna start all over III just thought over with you they committed adultery guys we're in Exodus the deal was just struck they just said few chapters earlier all that thou has said we will do and be obedient they said they said all they didn't take long before they committed adultery against their own God but what happened the righteous man stood up in verse 11 and Moses besought the Lord his God and said Lord why the wrath wax hot against our people which thou has brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand wherefore should the itch of the Egyptians speak and say for mischief did he bring them out to slay them in the mountains and consume them from the face of the earth turned from thy fierce wrath and repent of this evil against our people so he's basically begging him and saying please don't do this Lord the whole world will be watching the Egyptians like why did their God save them just to bring them out there and kill him it'll be a bad name on You Lord don't don't do that it's not a good look please don't destroy your people now remember God I made a deal he said let me kill all them and I'll just start a whole new nation with you Moses didn't even want that there's some righteousness in this man verse 13 remember Abraham Isaac and Israel thy service to whom thou swear'st by thy own self and said unto them I will multiply your sees that the stars heaven and all his land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seat and they shall inherit it forever is okay now you didn't fulfill that promise you promised our forefathers this and that you know their seasons gonna multiply it out you wipe them out right now you cut up you cut off the sea does it make sense you wipe them all out right now that that cuts him off right there okay 14 and the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people so he changed his mind he said you know but we can get the frustration we can understand the frustration but yeah he just turned back turn from what he was gonna do he repented of that not repented as if he did some sort of sin so perish the thought he just changed his mind but let's go to Jeremiah 8 Jeremiah chapter 8 and I will pick that up at verse 3 so we can look at that some of the things that he did I'm stead of wiping them out punished him so first three reasons this way he said and death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family which remain it and all the places whether I have driven them saith the Lord of Hosts see you got you guys have to understand even when some of these are all new better they did not do better they just chose evil they chose death would you guys agree that a lot of Israel knew the Covenant knew what it was knew what happened you know in Deuteronomy knew what life was under Moses and all that other stuff and knew that the Lord said okay choose you know life and good or death and evil and what they choose they choose evil some of them do it full well they just because they don't believe it you know no faith they don't disobey but now I don't take all that no no I'm not doing that oh no that was back then oh it may sound like today well we're under the new covenant but he says here and that shall be chosen rather than life interesting because when a rich young ruler came to Jesus and he said how can i in turn inherit eternal life what did he say kid but they twist the story today getting you cut off just happening you you're being cut off and they're showing you how to do it twisting scripture is telling you I this doesn't matter don't worry about this oh it's just about faith getting you cut off and some people as I said before actually know better and still choose evil still choose death we're gonna keep looking at it verse 4 said moreover thou shalt say unto them thus said the Lord shall they fall and not arise shall he turn away and not return why then is this people of Jerusalem slitting back by perpetual backslide they hold fast deceit they refused to return that's what you're kidding you tell someone you need to get back in the Covenant or whatever and they're with you until you tell them they have to do something so they trapped into a perpetual backsliding that's why the nation of Israel that's why we can't come together as one that's what we can't prosper as one not yet yeah individuals can prosper individuals can but as a whole it's a different story let me drive down to verse 10 therefore will I give their lives unto others that happen and their feels to them that shall inherit them for everyone from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness from the profit unto even unto the priest every one deal is falsely you walk away from the Covenant is that simple make it up as you go along it's really that simple that's all you have to do verse 11 for they have they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly saying peace peace when there is no peace everything's gonna be okay don't worry about it it's God's not like that he don't do all right drop down to 15 we look for peace but no good came and for a time of health in the whole trouble drop down to verse 20 the harvest is past the summer is ended and we are not saved for the heard of the daughter of my people am I hurt I am black astonishment has taken hold of me is there no balm in Gilead is there no physician there why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recover why is it no one can tell them what's wrong what is ailing Israel why is that does you got a bunch of false priests standing in front of you telling you fairy tale twisting scriptures if they're reading the scriptures at all putting on a show singing and dancing and not telling you what the problem is and so you're stuck in a perpetual backsliding because everything is to answer except getting back into covenant it has anything to do with changing your behavior no no we don't want to do that tell us smooth things speak unto us lies yes I'm gonna go to a hosea chapter 13 and I would just read the first two verses verses hosea chapter 13 first two verses when are you from spake trembling he exalted himself in Israel but when he offended in May all he died and now they send more and more and have made them moulting images of their silver and their idols according to their own understanding all of it the work of the craftsmen they say of them let the men that sacrifice kiss the calf so this is how when you don't have a man of God stand it before you delivering you his word right out of the word they're gonna make it up as they go they're just gonna make it up whatever sounds good today that's the risk that you're taking if you don't want to read it for yourself and you don't want to test anything you don't want to search the scriptures to see what I or anyone else is saying is so it's a risk that you are taking if you simply want to be entertained close the book cuz I say now there's some wonderful orators out there prompt whole shows and productions and everything bands and instruments and singers and praise dancers you get all that and you don't even have to bring your Bible you don't have to look in it you're gonna wave it around and you can say mantras but you don't have to read it when you certainly don't have to do anything that it says except for the you know believe have faith you don't have to do anything else that's the risk that you have to take oh brother Rob are you saying something wrong with music and dancing it up nope just kind of like to have a little truth with it did can I have a little dust says the Lord let us continue go to proverbs 21 proverbs 21 chapter 21 I'll just read one verse verse 16 the man that wonder it out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the day how many dead churches you've been been to when you think back on your life how many dead churches have you and I'm not talking about um they're not excited I'm not talking about that I'm just saying they're sitting there being lied to getting no edification no understanding no thus says the Lord but they get nice stories some entertainment jokes but they are spiritually dead yes spiritually dead not getting anything not giving any edification whatsoever nothing I'll read that again the man that wandering out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead I will let that sink in a little bit while we go on over to Isaiah 65 Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2 and it reads I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people which walk it in a way that was not good after their own thoughts when you want to do what you want to do when you want to do what you want to do a lot of times the most high want us to do things that are against our flesh that's how you know he's actually dealing with you because hopefully you don't think your flesh is all pure and you're without sin and you don't have your own your own flaws that was not good after their own thoughts of people that provoke me to anger continually to my face that sacrifice in the gardens and burnt incense upon altars of brick which remain among the graves and lodge in the monuments which eat swans flesh and the broth of abominable things is in their vessels which say stand by thyself come not near me for I am holy er than these are smoking my nose a fire that burned it all the day so have you met someone who just thought they had it all together don't tell me that uh no no I'm holier than thou I know what I'm the oh no I'm I know my lord ain't my god you don't know my god no I don't because if your God is a guy well you get to do whatever you want to do no accountability just believe everything away you don't have to change nothing that you do you don't have to don't in a covenant or anything like that no I don't know that God but if you were true I'll take two easy easy believe ISM there's no striving in there in there's no working out your own salvation with fear and trembling none of that there's no running this race with endurance no hold fast to that which is good none of that then oh I don't know your God because he's not in this Bible I don't serve the God that's in your mind that's in your mind I don't serve that guy and you get these people who are holier than thou Isaiah fifty lies in chapter fifteen verse one really says it all thus said the Lord where is the Bill of your mother's divorcement whom I have put away or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you behold for your iniquities have you sold yourselves and for your transgressions is your mother put away now we see how where when Israel got his divorce huh handle it I had to cut you off I had to let you go that's what the most I said yeah I had to let you go I couldn't do it had to cut you off now you guys see the picture let's let's look at it a little bit more go to Hosea chapter two Hosea chapter two gonna go to through seven Hosea chapter two plea with your mother plead for she is not my wife neither am i her husband let her therefore put away her terms out of her sight and her adulteries from between her breasts unless I strip her naked and set her as in the day that she was born and make her as wilderness and set her like a dry land and slay her with thirst I will not have mercy upon our children for they be the children of whoredoms big time for the Lord has plead for the four for their mother has played the heart and she conceived them had done shamefully for she said I will go after my lovers that give me my bread and my water my wool and my flax my oil and my drink I'm just gonna go somewhere else and get my needs met therefore behold I will hitch up thy way with thorns and make a wall that she shall not find her past it's not gonna work out for you and she shall follow after her lover's but she shall not overtake them and she shall seek them but shall not find them then she shall say I will go and return to my first husband for then was it better with me than now yeah history was gonna find out when you leave from your true God he quits himself you know as a husband he will you leave only thing gonna be all that great he even said I'm a heads up the way therefore behold I will head you up the way with thorns and make a wall you're not gonna prosper it's not gonna work out for you this other guy was not the guy who brought you out of Egypt out of bondage out of slavery the other God is not the one who made a covenant with you but no you want to do your own thing you want to go find another guy I saw Israel deed it's a whole lot of God's know many religions there is out there the Israel's involved with right now you know how many you yeah thousands of them Israel is Israel's and but dabbles and all of them Israel dabbles Davos trust me and allure say is not gonna work out for you I'm gonna put you away and it's not gonna work out for you let's continue over in jeremiah chapter 3 Jeremiah chapter 3 and I'm thinking about verse 1 and let's take a look at what it says verse 1 says they say if a man put away his wife and she go from him and become another man's shall he return on her again shall not the land be greatly polluted but thou has played the harlot with many lovers yet return again to me said the Lord but anyway come back I'm acknowledging you messed up and you went away but come back why cuz I don't want to destroy you I'm really trying to keep my word that I get that I have given unto your father's trying real hard to do this but come back lift up the eyes on to the high places and see where thou has not been lain with in a ways has thou set for them as the Arabian in the wilderness and thou has polluted the land with our whoredoms and with thy wickedness there for the showers have been withholding and there and there has been no latter rain and thou has a course for head thou refuse to be ashamed you know you're not even ashamed of it there's been no latter range see the reason you haven't been prospering because all of your whoredoms because you are serving another god you are breaking my covenant and you're not even ashamed of it without not from this time cry unto me my father thou art the guide of my youth will he reserve his anger forever will he keep it to the end behold thou has spoken and done evil things as thou could it's whatever you want it to do verse 6 the Lord said onto also unto me in the days of Josiah the King has thou seen that which backsliding Israel has done she has gone up upon every high mountain and under every Green Tree and there has played the harlot and I said after she had done all these things turn thou unto me but she returned not and her treacherous sister Judah saw it both of his wives and say oh and I saw on Thursday and I saw a win for all the causes whereby backsliding or a committed adultery I have put her away and given her a bill of divorce yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not but went and played the harlot also hmmm that be both of them right don't be both of them interesting and you got it and you got in verse anyway so I gave the bill of the door right so we saw the marriage we saw they accepted everything they take the company you can go back there you can see when Moses took the hyssop and all that and sprinkle the congregation and all that it boom married Mary you haven't had the blood and the hits off and all that boom married marriage just like you know he had spring through the blood and his okay when you lay with virgin hymen breaks blood consummate you see the symbolism it's all right there witness he said I call heaven and earth as a witness they said that too right oh so we made you have an agreement you have blood to consummate the whole thing you have witnesses sounds like a marriage and they said all that I said we will do I do hmm so we get it now now we get it just drop down to verse 11 and the Lord said unto me the backslide a backslider Israel has justified herself more than a treacherous Judah because you can't tell her nothing you can't tell them they're wrong you can't say nothing and the Lord said unto me the backslide Israel has justify herself more than treacherous Judah go and proclaim these words towards the north and say return bow back side of Israel says the Lord and I will not cause my anger to fall upon you for I am merciful said the Lord and I will not keep my anger forever hallelujah we need to be happy about that that he won't stay angry forever but let's read verse 13 only acknowledge down iniquity acknowledge you did look at what he's giving us instructions only acknowledge identically that thou has transgressed against the LORD thy God and has scattered aiways to the strangers under every Green Tree and you have not obeyed my voice says the Lord verse 14 turn o backsliding children says the Lord for I am married unto you and I will take you one of a city to other family and I will bring you to Sian dude do we have to explain that do we understand what what he just said ain't knowledge Lord I messed up I was wicked I was wrong I have sinned against thee I broke the covenant take me back I repent all of Israel needs to say that it just told you what happened and it's all coming true we're reading this stuff and we're thinking wow that's true that's true that happened that's what Wow it's a prophetic book right over and over and over let's continue in verse 20 surely as a light treacherously departed from our husband so had he dealt treacherously with me o house of israel says the lord a voice was heard upon the high places weeping and supplications of the children of israel for they have perverted their way and they have forgotten the Lord their God return he backsliding children and I will heal your backsliding behold we come unto thee for thou art the Lord our God truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills and from the multitude of mountains truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel so you can have from church to church to City the city to country to country and do all the things you want to do you want to look at the Stars and you want to go light candles and you want to do all kinds of stuff to try to get your salvation you want to just kind of think your way into salvation whatever it's not gonna hurt Oh help you only the Lord your God is your salvation let me just make that clear you need to be remarried to your God meaning get back into covenant which are God if you want to fix the problem I can entertain you I can tell you some jokes I can tell you about some of my travels and all that all these little adventures and stuff like that but none of that is gonna save you none of that is gonna help you repenting and turning back to your God that's what's going to help you that's what's going to help Israel will read that again in verse 23 truly in vain and salvation hope for from the hills and from the multitude of mountains truly in the Lord our God is the salvation of Israel for the shame has devoured the labor of our fathers from our youth their flocks and their herds their sons and their daughters we lie down in our shame and our confusion covers us for we have sinned again the Lord our God we and our fathers from our youth even unto this day and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God amen amen that that happened okay that's it that's all he wants you to do brother sisters just be truthful just admit your sin you're not the minute to me admit it to him I said I messed up don't sugarcoat it don't minimize it don't compare yourself to anybody else and just simply fall on your sword that's it repent and move forward don't try to butter it up you broke the covenant say I broke the covenant did you spend on a little bit of time of serving another God admit it did you lose your faith one time admit it whatever it is we have to mature in this walk at some point at some point you're gonna have to mature at some point you're gonna have to have a broken and contrite spirit and you're gonna have to be honest with yourself that's the only way you're gonna get somewhere let's continue they were still talking about just going through the motions and just being spiritually dead what is it what do you what are you harboring if you messed up you messed up admit it to the Most High he already knows you confessing is for you what do you think he didn't know what Cain did when he asked him where's your brother Abel you think you didn't know go to Matthew chapter 8 Matthew chapter 8 let's go to verse 21 I just want to verses and another his disciples said unto Him Lord some of me first to go and bury my father what did Jesus say but you just say it unto Him follow me and let the dead bury the dead it's a lot of people out there walking spiritually dead brothers and sisters and you can only help them so much but you need to work out your own salvation not everyone's didn't listen to you not everyone's gonna want to hear this I'm fully aware of that I'm fully aware so if they want to walk around and be spiritually dead nothing I can do like I said is just shake the dust shake the dust off and go about your business that's it no need for you run around and chase people down and try to convince them you can have patience with people but it's a struggle to try to convince someone not my goal you know the old saying you can lead a horse to water it can't make him drink that's what's going on that's what's going on but we said is about the marriage the divorce now we need to start looking at the remarriage right fair enough let's start let's start looking at the rematch to go to Jeremiah Jeremiah if you will before we get out of here we we got to see the remarriage Jeremiah 31 Jeremiah 31 and verse 31 so Jeremiah 31 31 and it reads and you guys already before but the lesson would not be complete if we don't just simply see all three phases marriage divorce remarriage 31:31 says behold the day's come says the Lord that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah both of them again right dealing with both of them okay so we're there not according to the Covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt so we already know the forefathers so we got that part which my covenant they break although I was a husband unto them says the Lord pretty clear so we talk about a marriage right but this shall be the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days says the Lord I will put my law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts and I will be their God and they shall be my people that's what he said they're brothers and sisters gonna be in covenant together that's a new one and don't get me wrong it means the exact same way in the New Testament so we don't have to go there we know it says the same Hebrews says the same thing but this is the rematch I wanted to go to Jeremiah because that's one who's first mentioned and to show you is enough nothing has changed he take those same laws put it in your heart and in your mind Hosea chapter 2 so we can look at him taking Israel back how's it Hosea chapter 2 we're gonna look at verse 14 verse 14 reads this way therefore behold I will allure her and bring her into the Wilden and speak comfortably unto her this is him bringing Israel back I need you to get the picture and I will give her her vineyards from this and the valley of okar for a door of hope and she shall sing there and in the days of her youth or as in the days of her use and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt so we know who he's talking about right we know he's talking about and it shall be at that day says the Lord that thou shalt call me is she what is he she how about well let's look at you she in Hebrew a man male contrast to a woman husband human human being man kind of champion great man a human being person contrast to God so he said again I'm be a husband I'm gonna be a husband I'm gonna be a husband I'm gonna lure you back and I'm gonna be a husband right and they shall call me in and you should have called me no more Valley okay so no more L false God you know don't know more that for I will take away the names of bail-in out of her mouth and they shall no more be remembered by their name so you you will not be serving no other god you will not have no other husband we not even talk about it it's not gonna be that gonna continue here 18 and in that day I will make a covenant for them with the breasts that with the beasts of the field sorry with the beasts of the field and with the fowl of heaven and with the creeping things in the ground and I will break the bow and the sward and the battle out of the earth and I will make them to lie down safely so animals won't hurt you to follow the beast of the fields now you know a lion camera run upon you he won't tear you to pieces everything's gonna be at peace when he brings you back and make you his bride again Israel and Judah everything will be fine I'll make the company would tell everything's gonna be fine you will dwell safely and guess where you're gonna be you're gonna be in a land where I said I was gonna give to your forefathers that I promised to them and to you verse 19 and I will betroth thee unto me for ever yea I will be Trott thee unto me in righteousness in judgment and in loving-kindness and in mercies are we getting it verse 23 and I will show her unto me in the earth and I will on any earth in the earth not in heaven any earth and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy Israel go through some hardship hardships throughout history okay who have not obtained mercy and I will say to them which were not my people thou art my people and they shall say thou art my god again remarry I do we're back are we getting it let me read that again and I will show her unto me in the earth so he already know what his Brides gonna be and I will have mercy unto her that had not obtained mercy just go to part 1 and look at all that you know absence of mercy and I will say to them my people because he divorced them right now are my people and they shall say thou art my god amen amen and hallelujah amazing and God amazing amazing he's out home and say I'm gonna take you back Daniel chapter 2 I just want one verse Daniel chapter 2 let's just get one verse real quick and in the days of these Kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed and the Kingdom shall not be left to other people but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it shall stand for ever there will be no other Kingdom besides the kingdom that the Lord set up for his people that Kingdom he's gonna give his bride there's not gonna be any other nations ruling on the side of Israel do we understand that is it cuz cuz it says it brought its gonna break it into pieces all those other kids gonna be broken in pieces are we understanding yeah okay so we're gonna go ahead and go to our last last two places Matthew chapter 15 Matthew chapter 15 and verse 24 because he said hey I'm coming to pick you up we're gonna be remarried so this verse will a lot of sense verse 24 says but he answered and said I am NOT sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel the whole reason he showed up sure other people got invited in and grafted in what about the other people you know weddings have witnesses nothing makes sense yeah but the purpose was I've come to the lost sheep of Israel to let you know hey I'm coming back to pick you up I'm assuring in a new covenant then I'm coming back once goes our our last place Isaiah chapter 27 Isaiah chapter 27 and I want to pick it up at verse 12 and it reads and it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt and he shall gather one by one o ye children of Israel and it shall come to pass in that day that the great jump trumpet shall be blown and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria in the outcasts and the land of Egypt and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount act Jerusalem he's come to pick you up Israel question is are you ready cuz the bridegroom cometh the bride's ready which sin are the ten virgins are you gonna be five who were ready with oil the five not because he is coming King is coming question is are you ready this has been the second lesson in our series by history from the Bible the marriage the divorce and the remarriage of Israel join us for our last two lessons my hope and prayer is that lesson has been edifying to the people and as I say all the time when I in the program search the Scriptures improve all things peace and Shalom is room [Music] [Music]
