now that I live in apartment the only thing that matches my need to stay quiet while playing guitar at night is my insatiable lust for New Gear so I saw some of my friends get this new Downer guitar this is the hush silent guitar uh shout out to my man Steve from Boston if you haven't checked out Steve's Channel show him some love I'll link him too because he's Steve's the man love you Steve but uh he did a video on this and a bunch of other YouTubers had a video on this so I do a lot of videos with Donald so I'm like hey I told him my situation would love to have something kind of just like portable to just kind of jam on like at night without making a lot of noise so they hooked it up and they sent this over so here we go a little unboxing of the Donner hush silent guitar can you believe there's a guitar in this little tiny box look at this this is it it's got a 9 volt battery let's get right to it this is uh this is I guess the entire guitar could this be the ultimate travel guitar we'll find out all right we got some accessories it's like this is a strap which I actually need because I did not bring a single guitar strap with me to California wow that was a pretty it's pretty easy unboxing all right so first of all we got this strap goes on the case I'm assuming comes with a tuner 9 volt battery so I'm assuming there are there's an active electronic component to this and uh what is this these look like Pi headphones earphones yep there we go a little little earphone thing so uh let's see two let's see let's see what this thing is all about here this is super small profile obviously as you can tell and then we got Donna always hooks it up so hard with the accessories so even like the pouch in here has stuff there's a pocket within a pocket oh okay so this is the r you're gonna see what these arms are for in a second I love the arm has his own little pocket and then this appears to be a little bag with an allen wrench and some picks these are like cool looking pictures then a cloth user manual which I'm never going to read hit me up in the uh in the comments if you're a never reader for user manuals but yeah this is oh this is so tiny look at this thing this is it what all right so this may look a little familiar so another guitar that I really love is the stramberg and this might look familiar to you right here with how these work right here so let me get rid of this put this down but yeah so the Allen run oh I think this is there's one built in here too so you can like tune them like this just like kind of like that multi-tool on the stranded that I've been using before yeah we're gonna we're gonna tune this up see what's uh see what's happening I know that they have like little pieces here that you can assemble so bear with me as I assemble this real quick in tune in all right we're back and it is in tune so this is just the regular microphone I have on the camera uh I also have this plugged in to an amp it's pretty loud but I want to hear I want you to hear just how it sounds unplugged these are acoustic strings right [Applause] so [Music] maybe a little you know about the same as like an electric unplugged Maybe [Music] but again so if you're just chilling and you just want to be quiet you can play unplugged or you can plug the headphones in here or it has an eighth inch out to like a speaker or something like that too uh again Piezo pickup so I'm just going through an amp I actually have 100 Looper pedal so sounds pretty good right for [Music] it's crazy how good they get these guitars to sound I think this is like around 300 [Music] let's see let's see do uh [Music] paper paddle style what should I do I'll show you maybe uh I really love these Downer picks too that they sent too these are these are totally my style they give you different sizes and stuff too but uh again great picks let's do something let's do something in the People's Key what do you say [Music] arpeggios come on dude this thing is this thing is great right like what a what a travel guitar that you can kind of hang out also they came with a little uh rubber pads you can put on the edges not that the edges were sharp but you know you can stab yourself I'm like a baby I'll stab myself on whatever uh whatever is available [Music] I think I want to try this medium pick that comes with it [Music] two this is this is so crazy how small this is but again they got the wires the wiring right whatever you want to call the the frame of this yeah and again you can just carry it like this super thin come on come on get out of here kind of some stuff that I was demonstrating in my my lesson video a few days ago about landing on certain notes that's why it's awesome to have a Looper pedal so the great thing is you know if you just kind of like use an interface or like an amp with headphones you can like Loop it through the headphones and stuff too but yeah this is look at look at this you just hang it from like a I kind of
