7 Morning Habits for a Successful Day (Islamic Perspective)

imagine a day when you wake up energized and ready to go the prophet Muhammad taught us the importance of starting our day early and making the most out of the Blessed hours in the morning in fact he said that inah Ali the early morning has been blessed for my [Music] umah so today I want to share with you seven habits that Muslims can do in the morning for a successful day inshallah by implementing these habits in our daily routine we can not only be more productive but also gain immense blessings from Allah and become more spiritually connected so do not skip don't be weak number one perform your morning prayers instead of hitting the snooze button for the 10th time make it a habit to wake up early for your morning prayers also known as the fuder prayer it's not just about fulfilling your religious duties but also about starting your day in the best way possible the fuder prayer prevents you from sleeping in late you should not waste your time sleeping too much our beloved Prophet Muhammad has warned us about this in a Hadith sahkari where he said during your sleep Satan knots three knots at the back of the head of each of you and he breathes the following words at each knot the night is long so keep on sleeping if that person wakes up and celebrates the Praises of Allah then one knot is undone and when he performs ablution the second knot is undone and when he prays all the knots are undone shaan will do everything he can to make you lazy and forgetful but you have the power to resist remember with each step you take towards your morning prayer you are undoing one knot of Shan's hold on you and with each raaka that you pray you are complet completely freeing yourself from his grasp now it's up to you to decide what's more important a few extra minutes of comfortable sleep or freeing yourself from The Whispers And Temptations of shaitan I'm sure you know the answer so do your morning prayers as the first thing you do when you wake up and it will set the tone for the rest of your day you'll feel enriched and spiritually connected ready to take on whatever challenges come your way number two Quran recitation we all have that feeling of waking up with anxiety and stress that constant weight on your shoulders that never seems to lift it seems like no matter what we do we can never Escape these negative emotions this only gets worse when you go on your phone in the morning and scroll through social media what if there's a way to wake up and only feel positive you can accomplish this with the words of Allah waking up and reading the Quran will make you feel at peace like nothing else it will soothe your soul and calm your heart the words of Allah have a healing power that cannot be matched by any other form of self-care open your heart to the words of Allah and see how it transforms you as mentioned in Surah Al is verse 82 and we send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the Believers but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss this verse reminds us that the Quran is a source of healing and mercy for those who believe it has the power to cure your negative emotions and bring us closer to Allah with negative emotions I mean your doubts your fears your stress your anxiety and your depression all of those can be cured through the recitation of the Quran and as morning is the calmest time of the day and if you spend it with the words of Allah your heart will be filled with peace and Tranquility inshallah my brothers and sisters just imagine how much reward we can attain by reciting the Quran consistently every morning and if you understand the meaning of what you are reciting your connection with Allah will become even stronger let's say you recite Surah Al FAA every morning do you know what it means it is a supplication to Allah asking for his guidance and blessings so when we recite it with understanding and sincerity in the morning you will start your day by seeking Allah's help and mercy and that is the best way to start any day number three working out in mour a lot of people think spirituality and physical activity are not connected but they are I indeed as Muslims you are taught to make maintain a balance between the physical and spiritual well-being as both are interconnected it's not just about keeping your body fit it's about cherishing the gift Allah has given us instead of getting entangled in worldly worries as soon as you open your eyes dedicate your early moments to physical nourishment Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said a strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer while there is good in both sah Muslim 2664 strength here refers not just to spiritual or emotional resilience but also to physical fitness working out in the morning be it a walk yoga or a more intensive exercise not only invigorates your body but also your mind you'll feel a sudden boost in energy levels and mental alertness just after a few minutes of exercise it's more like setting up a positive tone for the rest of your day even if you turn to the Quran then it shows The Importance of Being physically fit Allah says in the Quran and make ready against them all you can of power including steeds of War Tanks planes missiles artillery Etc to threaten the enemy of Allah and your enemy the power Allah refers to here includes physical strength here he's directly commanding you to keep your body in the best possible condition if we just see our Prophet peace be upon Him life then that's evident he always exemplified living healthier he participated in numerous physically demanding activities be it building the mosques with his own hands or walking long distances for trade now imagine here in this modern era you have such a long list of luxuries you got a car so you don't have to walk miles a mobile so you can get connected to the whole world but in this whole digital world what's lacking is physical activity you just simply check our Prophet Muhammad's life he was such a big personality it's not like he wasn't able to afford luxuries or something that made his life a lot easier but what he did he set an example living a simple yet powerful life he used to race with his wife Aisha as mentioned in jammi 1628 indicating the importance of physical activities in our lives this shows that physical fitness is not just a health recommendation it's a Sunnah a way of life of the Prophet start your day by following in his footsteps engage in a physical workout that suits you whether it's a brisk walk in the fresh morning air or a full body workout at the gym whatever it is make sure to incorporate some form of physical activity in your routine and strive towards becoming a strong believer both physically and spiritually remember your body is a trust from Allah and you should take care of them as such number four family time just think what was the last time you sat with your family or even engaged in a discussion with them most probably this question will make you go in deep thoughts when you really have taken out time for your family we more often ignore it we think that just our work is our responsibility but my brothers and sisters that's what you're doing wrong I understand you are all busy and don't have much time but Islam has emphasized the importance of family time that's what is needed to build a vibrant society and most importantly complete our faith as Allah reminds us in Surah aluat oh mankind indeed we have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another indeed the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you indeed Allah is knowing and acquainted this verse perfectly shows the significance of your family connections and unity your time care and even a little laughter toward your family evoke the spirituality of your inner self these values are what shape our society and even Prophet Muhammad Sall Ali wasallam personified them he would often help in help household chores engage in playful activities with children and spend quality time with his wives in sah bukari Prophet Muhammad peace be upon Him used to mend his shoes sew his clothes and carry out all such household tasks done by an average person this Hadith indicates that Prophet Muhammad was not just a prophet but also a family man just think about it starting your day with a conversation with your loved ones sharing thoughts planning the day simply laughing it feeds your soul strengthening the bond of kinship and a refreshing start to the day infusing positivity and reinforcing a sense of belonging number five take a shower you might find it surprising but this simple act carried out with the right intention holds profound spiritual significance in Islam the Quran mentions it in Surah Al Nissa oh you who have believed do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying or in a state of Joba except those passing through a place of prayer until you have washed your whole body this verse emphasises the importance of cleanliness and purification a concept not just physical but deeply spiritual just think about it when you step under the shower you're not just washing away the physical dirt you are also metaphorically cleansing yourself of worries that doubts and negativity a moment of solitude where the water not only purifies your body but also refreshes your mind and soul our beloved Prophet Muhammad beautifully Illustrated this in a Hadith reported by Abu hura in sahkari cleanliness is half of Faith this Hadith doesn't merely pertain to outward cleanliness but it's a gentle nudge towards inner Purity and illumination just as the body needs to be bathed regularly your heart and soul also require constant purification if you are clean and well groomed you show the world that you take care of yourself Allah wants his creation to be clean and pure think about it if you see a dirty man or dirty woman you will not want to engage in conversation with him or her you would wrath or avoid that person other people will think the same way about you if you are not clean number six eating healthy breakfast taking care of your body is one of the most important parts of being a Muslim food is the fuel that your body runs on if you do not eat healthy food your body will not perform well think about it if you put lowquality gas into your car it will damage your car as a Muslim you must take care of your body and eat healthy food Islam is very clear about this only eat natural food that is good for your body and with it comes the blessings from Allah in the form of nourishment in the variety of fruits and Grains that Allah has bestowed upon us in Surah Alman it says and he caused to grow within it grain from plants and grapes and herbs and olives and date palms and Gardens dense with many trees and grain having stalks and fragrant flowers then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny Allah has laid out a banquet of dietary blessings for us with each fruit carrying its own unique benefits when we consume these gifts in the morning it's as if you're starting your day with a prayer a prayer of gratitude for the bounties of Allah bestowed upon us next it is important to eat with moderation Prophet Muhammad said in hadithi the worst vessel to be filled is the stomach this simple yet profound Hadith guides you to moderation in eating a healthy and balanced breakfast doesn't mean piling your plate high with everything in sight it's about choosing the right amount of fuel for your body the kind of fuel that will keep you feeling invigorated and alive without feeling too full if you eat too much you will grow fat and you will feel sluggish who wants to start his day feeling lazy sluggish and fat eat until you are 80% satisfied and you will feel energized and happy we're embodying the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him who began his day with seven dates just think about it starting your day the Sun away imagine the Baraka that brings so let's take a moment as the morning sun lights up the world to appreciate Allah's bounty in your breakfast let's show gratitude for your health for the food on your table and for the day that lies ahead as you nourish your body also nourish your soul with the remembrance of Allah because after all isn't that the most beautiful way to start your day number seven plan the day how you plan your day is what makes it or breaks it even our beloved Prophet Muhammad has Illustrated this principle perfectly he once gave a piece of advice to Abu narrated in atmi in his Sunan by iban abish shba oh Abu beware of procrastination because you live today and tomorrow you will not be here if there were any tomorrow for you live it like today so if there were no tomorrow for you you would not regret procrastinating your work today what a profound reminder by setting the tone for your day early you are granted the opportunity to to align your intentions actions and Pursuits with the teachings of Islam without a plan you do not know where you are headed and you do not wake up without any intentions for the day if you plan your day you can fill your day with activities and be productive as Allah has intended for you to live the Quran also reminds us of this in Surah Al bakar and whatever good you do Allah knows it and take provisions but indeed the best provision is tawa so fear me ohe you of understanding this verse is a call for you to be diligent and proactive in your worldly tasks while always keeping Allah's Commandments at Heart by planning you're setting out your intentions for the day early in the morning you're defining your tasks and objectives your work for the day and believe me it's a wonderful feeling when you know exactly what your day looks like first thing in the morning it brings Clarity focus and a sense of purpose but it's not just about planning it's also about starting your day fast you've laid out your day you've set your intentions now it's time for Action don't waste precious time brooding or hesitating don't be a watcher be a doer just like our Prophet who was the epitome of action so what's stopping you from an amazing amazing morning is it a lack of routine well don't worry you're not alone establishing a morning routine takes discipline and effort but the rewards are immense start small and build up gradually to make it sustainable in the long run remember it's not about perfection it's about progress may Allah bless us all with an amazing morning routine that brings us closer to our purpose and helps us fulfill our duties with excellence and may He reward us for every action we take with sincerity and Taqua if you learned from this conversation I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments if you're not sure what to say just type alhamdulillah to let me know you've listened through to the end may Allah forgive us all and guide us towards bettering ourselves every day
