Transformation from Death to Life

the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But thank you. There's another verse. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love, with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgression, made us alive together.

with Christ. By grace, you have been saved and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Can you see the transition, mga patid?

So that in the ages to come, He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and out of yourselves it is the gift of God, not as a result of work.

This is an amazing chapter, mga pati. This is so beautiful. Kanina sa verse 1, you were dead.

Pero pagdating sa verse 6, you were seated with Him in the heavenly places. I want to preach to you this afternoon in the subject, From Grave to Glory. From Grave to Glory.

We were saved from grave to glory!

Let's raise our hands, let's close our eyes, Lord. I will preach, but You will be the one who will go through, Lord. What I cannot do, You can do. All I can do is to cast the seed of Your Word, but the result is up.

to the soil and you, Panginoon. Lord, we tear down every strongholds this afternoon. Strongholds ng unbelief, strongholds ng doubt, stronghold ng fear, we cast it in the name of Jesus Christ. Let your kingdom come and let your will be done in Jesus'name.

Amen and amen. Before you sit, put your hands to your side and say, From grave to glory. And now you can sit, brethren.

From the grave to the glory. When I first read Ephesians 2, 1-10, I felt like I was watching a short film about my life. about our life.

I love words.

Searching for adjectives. and adverbs. Pero after kumabasa tong Ephesians chapter 2, wala akong masabi mga kapatid.

I was speechless. Walang sapat na adjective, adverbs, or any literary device ang sufficient para ma-describe gaano kaganda ang chapter na ito, mga kapatid. Ang Ephesians 2, verse 1 to 10, ito po ang before and after testimony.

Nung nabasa ko yung Ephesians 2, 1-10, hindi ko mapigilan, ma-amaze, how come that we have started so low, yet ended up so high? From the grave, from the grave, from the bottom of our sins, we were raised by Christ to sit with Him in heaven. What an amazing thing that is, mga kapatid. And I believe, ngayong hapon, marami sa inyong ngayon ang nasa grave. Pero lalabas kayong ngayon in the glory realm, seated in Christ Jesus.

Oh, hallelujah. Hindi lang ito, rags to riches documentary. Hindi lang ito, Cinderella fairy tale. But this is a God who saw the world na palubog na, na parang titanic mga kapatid, ready to plunge into darkness.

When God saw us, we were already going to hell. But we were not just watched by God, brethren. When God saw us, He had a plan.

And He declared His power as Savior. When God saw us, we were already in sin. We were already going to hell. God had the right to say, You can do whatever you want. You can do whatever you want.

For God so loved the world.

That He gave His only begotten Son. Hindi lang niya tayo pinanood. Hindi lang niya tayo pinagmasdan.

But He gave His only begotten Son. And whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. At sinabi ni Jesus, Behold...

I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

The salvation is for you to live from death, brethren.

All of us here are former dead in sin. But God did not allow us to see ourselves dead. We were saved by our Lord and He brought us to His mercy.

Just ilang verses lang yun, Pastor Misha. Pero nandun yung before and after. Naiimagine mo yung itsura mo noon.

Noong pala inom ka pa. You're a cigarette, you're a cigarette. You're a cigarette, you're so ugly. But you're a cigarette, my brothers. You go out of the house, wearing shorts, no t-shirt, no briefs, no briefs, brothers and sisters.

It's so disgusting. But slowly, while you're reading, slowly, the story gets better and better, brothers and sisters. The story comes from the bottomless pit.

We were brought to the holy throne of the Lord. From the dark abyss, we were brought to the light of His glory. From death, He gave us life that was not yet.

It was death to life. It was from grave to glory. Hallelujah.

Lord did not just make me good.

I am not just redeemed. I was not just reconciled. I was not just rescued.

I was resurrected from the grave. I was resurrected from death, mga kapatid. Oh, hallelujah.

Ito yung parang ating ways from verse 1 to verse 3 pag-uusapan natin. ano tayo noon? From verse 4 to verse 5, ano ang ginawa ng Diyos?

From verse 6, ano na tayo ngayon? And from verse 7 to verse 10, bakit yun? Ano ang dahilan ng Diyos? Bakit niya ginawa yun? So, kada ano, tigay isang oras yan, mga pati.

So, four hours. Pag-usapan natin, verse 1 to verse 3, ano tayo noon? Nilagay ko dito, trip.

sa morgue. Dalawin natin kung sino ka dati. Dalawin natin yung buhay mo noon. And I'm going to tell you, pagbabalikan natin yung mga itsura natin noon, very unpleasant, mga kapatid. May mga pabangs-bangs pa tayong ganon.

Mga imo-imo, mga kapatid. Hallelujah. When I was a young boy, kung ano-ano pa kinakanta natin, mga kapatid.

Hallelujah. Pa-imo-imo tayo, naglalaslas tayo. Dalawin natin kung sino tayo noon.

At alam niyo ba kung sino tayo noon? One word, napakalinaw, straight to the point, ang Bible. Nung una kang nakita ng Diyos, you were dead.

You were dead. Hindi kanya nakita ang nag-iingalo. Hindi kanya nakita ang nahihirapan. Hindi kanya nakita ang may sakit.

Nung una kang natagpuan ng Diyos, you were dead. Dead!

Inaalon doon, hallelujah. Ikaw ay patay nung natagpuan ng Panginoon.

You were dead, I was dead nung natagpuan ako ng Panginoon. Kahit anak tayo ng pastor, Pastor Misha, hallelujah. Pero nung hindi tayo na born again, we were dead in the eyes of God.

You're breathing physically, but you're dead. You're moving physically, but you're dead. Even if you have a religion, you're dead.

Even if you're in a group, you're dead. Even if you're praying rosary, you're dead. Even if you're praying worship, you're dead. Even if you have a picture of Papa Jesus in your room, you're dead when you found God.

Pwede pala yun, Pastor Misha. Buhay pero patay? Buhay na patay?

Exactly! Yun ang pinaka-perfect description mo! Spiritually speaking, you were zombie.

You were living dead. You were walking dead. All of us are dead kung hindi dumating si Jesus Christ sa ating mga buhay. You are dead, so you are guilty.

You are guilty, so you are dead. That is the circle of your life, brethren. Why are you dead?

Because the wages of sin is death. Romans 6.23 And every soul that's seen it shall die. That's written in Ezekiel.

And you and I were sinners. Kaya nung nakita ka ng Diyos, you were dead. Hindi ka niya nakitang religious. Hindi ka niya nakitang, mapait to eh, kunting ano na lang to eh. No?

Isaiah 59.2, because of thy sin we were separated to God.

And God is the source of life. At pag ikaw ay lumayo sa life, wala ng life apart from Him. He is the only life, mga kapatid.

Those are the true dead, brethren. Hallelujah.

The Bible has no sugar coating. It's clear, straight to the point. When you saw God, you were dead.

You were a zombie. We saw a zombie. Just there, next to you, brethren.

Those are zombies. And when you were dead, You have no appetite for spiritual food. The dead man has no appetite, brethren.

The dead man is not hungry. The dead man is not thirsty. The dead man has no ability to do anything, brethren.

Is there anyone who can do something? No, just smells. That's all a dead man can do, brethren. You're dead spiritually. You have no appetite.

Hallelujah, you're dead spiritually. That's why you're a victim of spiritual things. Your spiritual lungs are polluted.

Your spiritual mind is not functioning. Your spiritual heart is not beating. You were dead.

So when the Bible was taught to you, you couldn't understand it. There was a time, brethren, we were dead. We thought... Kabaliwan yung palakpak-palakpak. Kabaliwan yung talong-talong.

Kabaliwan na may speak in tongues.

Parang mga buang. Hindi natin maintindihan noon. For the Jews, it was a stumbling block. For the Gentiles, it was foolishness. Why?

You were dead. You don't understand. Because it's not intellectual that's needed here.

Spirit of God. Revelation of God. That's what's needed here, brethren.

But I can give you a grade 4, always a grade 4, brethren. But I can, I can. found the word of God clear as crystal.

It was not because of human intellect. It was not because of human comprehension. It was because of the revelation of the Spirit of the living God.

And I declare right now, as I preach the gospel, all the dead here will be revived by the Lord, brethren. And those you can't see, you will slowly see. Those you can't hear, you will hear.

Those you can't understand, You will understand. Who did that? Not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit, saith the Lord.

Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And that's the power of the gospel. If we preach the gospel, the bad people don't just get better.

Hindi lang tumitino yung mga pasaway. But while we preach the gospel, yung mga patay na spirit. They were slowly resurrected.

That's why they're wondering, why am I crying? Why am I being convicted? Why am I being treated?

That pastor is a fool. He's making me suffer. He knows my life. Why did you feel that?

You are already living, brethren, of the Spirit of our Lord. Oh, I'm going to tell you, preachers, don't underestimate the power of the gospel. This can resurrect the dead. It is the power of God unto salvation.

It is not motivational talk. It is not inspirational talk. Preach the gospel because the gospel quickens the dead. Oh, hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah.

Sin is the greatest problem that we have. Puno ng mga zombie.

Mga taong humiwalay sa Diyos. Humiwalay tayo sa buhay. Kaya tayo ay patay.

And then from verse 2 to verse 3, iniisa-isa ni Paul, ano yung dahilan na nung patay tayo, merong tatlong superpower na nagkokontrol ng ating buhay. Ang sabi ni Paul, una ang nagkontrol sayo is the course of this world. Yung mga makamundong bagay. Everybody shout.

course of this world.

Hindi nyo alam sa bawat librong binabasa nyo, bawat pelikulang pinapanood nyo, Every music you listen to, there's a message there that says to you, you don't need God.

Choose your happiness. Do what you want. Do what makes you happy. You don't know. This world wants to erase God out of the picture.

You grew up that what's going around in your world is anti-God. That's the... tidal wave that wants to remove God.

You were under the course of this world. And then the second one that controlled you is called the prince and the power of the air. Or other words, that is Satan.

Aren't you wondering, brethren, the cigarette doesn't smell but you're still hit-hit. You know why?

May nag-deceive sa isip mo. Akala mo ikaw lang yun? Hindi po. May demonyo na niloko ka, mga kapatid. Who was the one who was driving here before?

Not now, huh? Before. Hallelujah. What's the problem with you, Garil?

You're like a bus, brothers and sisters. Why are you still driving? There are a lot of cars there, brothers and sisters. You're driving like a bus. It's not that good to feel like you're Garil.

But why are you doing this? In the invisible realm, you can't see. satan is fooling you, brethren. You're being fooled.

You're being deceived. He is the God of this world. Small letter G.

He governs this world, brethren. He deceives you through ignorance. And you have no power to fight him. Why? You are dead.

Just like Andrew. I want to get better, but I can't. I can't do it. You know what you can't do? You are dead.

You have no power. I don't want to do adultery. Why did I still do it?

I don't want to do marigold. Why did I still do it? I don't want to do shabu. Why did I still do it? Hold on to Satan's neck.

That even if you want to do something, you want to change, you can't. You're like a dog that Satan is chasing. You want to fight, but you can't beat him.

He's stronger than you. Why? You were.

So you are under the course of this world, under Satan. And number three, Paul said, the most intense enemy of all, the loss of the flesh, your own. We are in a world where whatever I want, that will be followed. My happiness, my freedom, my rights, my indulgence, my ego.

You're like Jollibee. You're a bidda, brethren. It's all about me. I should be the bidda. I should be the one to follow.

I should be the one to be happy. I should be the one to win. I should be the one to give.

I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give.

I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give.

I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give.

I should be the one to give. I should be the one to give. Satan and the lust of the flesh.

At dahil yung kinontrol tayo nung kapangyarihan na yun, the Bible says, we were made children of wrath. We were doomed to wrath, mga kapatid. Hindi ka lang patay in the present, ikaw pa itatapon in the future.

Itatapon ka sa impyerno. So ano tayo noon? Dead in sin, deceived, slaved by Satan, and doomed to hell.

What will you do right now? Merong course of this world, merong prince in the power of the air, merong lust of the flesh, ano ang gagawin mo ngayon?

For the floodwaters are up to my neck.

Deeper and deeper, I sink into the mire. Ang Tagalog ng mire ay yung kumunoy. Kita namin kumunoy.

Dato kayo, dadalhin kayo mga kapatid, palubog. Sabi ni David, I can't find a foothold. Wala akong mahanap na tuntungan.

I'm in deep water and the floods overwhelm me. Verse 14 to verse 15, Rescue me from the mud. Don't let me sink any deeper. Save me, pull me from these deep waters.

In other words, ang mundong ito is a one giant graveyard. And we are slowly, slowly, palubog na mga kapatid. Doomed to damnation forever. Nang sabi ni Lord, Ezekiel, tingin mo, can these bones live?

Nakatingin doon si Ezekiel sa mga skeleton. To be honest, Lord, I don't know. I don't know, Lord, if these bones can live. Doon yun tayo noon. We were dead.

But, ladies and gentlemen, hindi nagtatapos ang kwento sa verse 3. Merong sinabi sa verse 4. But God! We have already finished talking about who we were then. Let us now talk about what God did. But God!

I know I was dead, but God is the God of resurrection. But God is great.

But God is omnipotent. But God is omniscient. But God...

rules, but God reigns. I was dead, but God.

But He did the initiative, mga kapatid. He did the first move. But God commended His love toward us.

That while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Nung palubog na tayo sa kasalanan at hindi natin maabot ang kalawalatian ng Diyos, when we can't go too high, He stooped down to our level, mga kapatid, at inabot tayo mula sa kainalaliman ng mga kasalanan at karumihan. Ang good news ay, there is a God who is rich in mercy.

And not only in mercy, but the Bible says, He loves us. Yun lang hindi ko maintindihan, Pastor Misha. If God is sorry for me, I will understand.

Because my condition is really sorry. But He didn't just make me sorry. He loves me, brethren.

He loves me. He saw me in the midst of evil. He saw me in the midst of sin.

But God loves me. Visitors, I don't care what other people say to you. God loves you. God loves you. nandito kayo ngayon dahil mahal kayo ng Diyos.

Oh, hallelujah. When our sin was great, His love was greater. When sin abounded, grace did much more abound.

Life. Ano yung deserve natin? Death.

So mercy restrains what we deserve and grace release what we do not deserve.

I don't care how many times you fell. I don't care how many times you made a mistake. If grace saves you, mercy is enough to restore you. That's why I will praise, that's why I will shout, that's why I will worship. Why?

Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days. of my life. Not only when I'm Pentecostal, not only in my good days, but even in my bad days, even in my sinful days.

Ilang beses ako natumba. Ilang beses ako natapa. Grace and mercy is always available.

Eternal joy. What did God do, Evangelist? The Bible says in verse 5, Even when we were dead, He quickened us. Especially the word quickened, that's why no one said amen.

Meaning, it's simple in Tagalog, He saved us. And when I was killed, Pastor Misha, God's use is not CPR. It's not an electric pump to put shocks on our bones.

I was dead. He quickened me. I was dead.

He quickened me. I was dead. He quickened me. Ang sabi ng Panginoon, Lazarus, come forth! Oh, hallelujah!

I was resurrected by His grace. I had life. He didn't reform me.

He didn't improve me. He didn't rehab me. He resurrected me. He saw me as a corpse.

I was dead. I had no hope. There's no feeling even if you're complaining.

When I was beaten, there was a complaint. But the dead, there's no complaint. Ang patay hindi kayang mag-response. Ang patay hindi kayang sumagot.

Ang patay hindi kayang mag-request. Ang patay hindi kayang makiusap. That's why in the Bible, there is none that do it good. No, not one.

There is none that seek it after me. There is none that look it after me. All of them are dead. There was nobody.

And God has no obligation to save us. But he did. But he did. Nakita niya yung lasinggero na Brother Bobby.

Nakita niya yung drug addict. Nakita niya yung inihilit mo yung droga.

It was the shower of His righteousness. It was the shower of His grace. Hindi niyo ako hinanap.

Ako ang nakahanap sa inyo. Hindi niyo ako pinili. Ako ang pumili sa inyo.

Hindi niyo ako minahal. Mahal ko na kayo. Even though I was dead. Grace said, quicken him.

Way back 2000, Pastor Misha, if you remember, we're always called, this is when we do crusades, and we set up there in Tatalon, there are the Lasingero. Do you know what they call us? There are the Alive Alive.

There are the Alive Alive. There are more to do. There are more to do. There are more to do.

There are more to do. And do you know why we're called alive, alive? Because all of the songs, from devotion, alive, alive, alive forevermore. Offering, alive, alive, alive forevermore.

Song leading, alive, alive, alive forevermore. Alter calling, alive, alive, alive forevermore. We're all called alive, alive.

I was hurt. I was hurt, brethren. Tuwing tinatawag na alay-alay.

Pero after kung mabasa. Ephesians chapter 2. I realized, Pastor Misha, even though they were unbelievers, they were biblically accurate. They said it right. That's why you made us alive alive. You are one million percent correct.

Because we are not dead anymore. We are alive alive. And 8th O'Rock will out-brace me!

I'm alive! I'm alert! I'm awake!

I'm enthusiastic! Dati kaming nasa kabawang ng kadiliman, dati kaming nasa kabawang ng imoralidad, dati kaming nasa kabawang ng droga, but the grace of God is greater than my grave. The grace of God is greater than my grave.

At pinatunayan ng Diyos, no grave can stop His grace. I love that word. Grave. Because if you read it in Tagalog, grave. That's what we were like.

Grave is the cheapness. Grave is the violence. Grave is the womanhood. Grave is the shamelessness.

Grave is the... Hmm, brethren. Grave, grave.

But God said, is that grave? There's something more grave here. And He washed away his blood.

And He washed away his... There's something even worse. When seen, abounded. Grace!

Grace did much more abound! Kaya yung aming awitan, alive! Yung aming tuktukan, alive! Yung aming preaching, alive!

Yung atmosphere, alive!

Kaya maingay kami. Hindi to ingay ng Taylor Swift. Hindi to ingay ng BTS.

Ito yung sabi sa Bible, Make a joyful noise. In Sabungan, there's noise. In BTS, there's noise.

In Blackpink, there's noise. But in No. 8, Balete Drive, there's joy! Full noise!

If you're not dead, you have the freedom to jump! If you're not dead, you have the freedom to jump! If you're not dead, you have the freedom to scream! I was saved from grave to glory! Oh, I'm so tired!

Isaiah. Now listen. Isaiah 38.18. Watch.

Isaiah 38.18. Baki, this is Christ in Tagalog. Isaiah 38.18. Sige, yan na lang English.

For the grave cannot praise thee. Ang mga patay, they cannot celebrate it.

So, may kapatidang sa park, yung nagpupuri, patay. Just understand, you're dead. You can't force death. You can't fool, manipulate death.

The grave cannot brace thee. Who can praise God? Verse 19. Verse 19. Sino ang kaya magpuri? The living, the living, let everything that hath breath praise ye the Lord. In other churches, they were killed because their God was dead.

But here, the atmosphere is alive because our God is alive! You're dead? Okay, just sit there. But I want to hear the praise of the living.

I was in the grave! I was in the grave! I was in the grave!

But grace captured me from grave to glory! That's why it says in Psalms 40 verse 2, He brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. We are already saved by the Lord. Oh, hallelujah. Let's relax again, brethren.

Oh, hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah. Now, we have more reasons to pray.

Watch. It says in verse 6, He didn't just destroy us. He even positioned us.

For example, you, Brother Bobby, when God destroyed you, God said, there, you're okay. It's not like that, brethren. For example, this is Jesus Christ.

The grace of the Lord said, when you were destroyed, You were seated with Christ in the cross. So when he was crucified, you were crucified too. When he died, you died too. But when he was alive...

You're alive! We were likened to His death, but we are also likened unto His resurrection. I don't care how many times you fall down, bounce back, bounce back, bounce back.

There must be a resurrection power in your soul. Oh, Hallelujah! Remain standing, mga kapatid.

Hindi lang tayo binuhay. We were made united with Christ. Ako, ako, tinabi mo dito.

Si Earl na maliit. So if you see me as good, I am not that. It is Christ who is in me. If you see me holy, I am not that.

It is Christ who is in me. If you see the fruit of the womb, of the spirit it's not me it's Christ that's in me I used to be a prisoner that was killed but now I'm one with Christ Jesus my friends it can happen to you this afternoon God will resurrect you Who am I? Who am I to be taken out of graveyard? and brought to the throne room of His glory.

You know, I wrote in my devotion here in Ephesians 2, I only wrote one while my heart was beating. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. We have no more discussions, brethren.

This ministry that we have, it's a blessing to all of us, Lord. If we are using God, it's a blessing to all of us, Lord. I'm just a boat that He brought. Let's not be self-entitled. Let's not be VIPs.

Let's not be superstars. This ministry that we have, Pastor Misha, these were all by the mercy of God. And then lastly, bakit yun ginawa ng Diyos? Malinaw na sabi sa verse 7. Bakit niya ginawa lahat yun?

So that the ages to come, He might show the surpassing riches of His grace. Alam niyo yung meaning niyan?

He wants you to see the unlimited grace. The Lord told us, Are you happy that I brought you?

There's more. There's more. That's why the Lord wants us to go to heaven so that we can see and experience the long life of the Lord. For by grace are ye saved through faith.

It's not of yourself. Bakit? You were dead. But it is the gift of God.

Now verse 10. Now we are His workmanship. Unbelievable. Alam niyo meaning ng workmanship?

Tinerch ko. Obra Maestra. Artwork. The old boat.

Now, it's Lord's artwork. Lord has given you to the angels. Look at this. It was dead a while ago.

Now, I'm using it. Look at this! He's dead in sin, the devil. But now, look how much I use him, how much I use her. The purpose is that the Lord saved you from the grave.

Because He will use your testimony to glorify His glory. Am I worthy of the Lord? The Lord said, you are not worthy, but I love you.

The grace of the Lord, we did not work for it, we did not save it, we did not hope that there would be grace. Nobody was expecting that the God of glory would be so gracious to a world of graveyard. Pero tingnan nyo verse 1, verse 1, Ephesians 2, you were dead.

Pero verse 10, you are now His workmanship. Last verse, 1 Peter chapter 2. Look at what the Lord called us. We were just killed a while ago, but look at this. But now, you are a chosen generation.

A royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of God's possession. Why was the Lord saved you? So that you proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

For you were once not a people, but now you are the people of God. You had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. This is the story of my life. This is the story of your life.

It's a story. From grave to glory. Now, tumayo tayo lahat.

Magpipray ako, and then pagsigaw ko ng in Jesus'name, I want you to burst out in praise. Okay? Yung pagpupuri na hindi nag-grave, yung nasa glory na. from grave to glory and then for one minute two minutes we will worship and then after that we will invite our visitors But you still did it, Lord.

You don't have to, Lord, love us. But you still loved us. There are times that we forgot that we were just a boat. But through your blessings, you saved us.

Accept our thanksgiving. In Jesus'name, Amen.
