YouTuber Apologies and Manny's Response

if you're wearing socks right now I would highly recommend you hold on to them for dear life because what I'm about to say might just blow them clean off of you this is something that I never thought I would be able to say this came so far out of left field that even no stradamus couldn't have seen it coming we have actually just gotten the world's first YouTuber apology that wasn't absolutely terrible now I know that's some hard information to digest so I'll give you a second to catch a breath maybe go and perform CPR on your grandmother If She fainted when she heard that but it's going to get a little extra wild and wacky when I tell you who it was that made this apology and it was none other than the Manny show now if you're somehow not familiar with the Manny show then I'll give you a brief little summary real quick Manny is a shorts Creator whose content I can really only describe in one way and that's by calling it basically Facebook mom humor it's those kinds of videos where the humor is supposed to be the fact that it's like quirky and relatable and then they put in that like chipmunk laughing audio that's like kind of a q card to tell you when you're supposed to laugh like that's basically Manny's videos in a nutshell how long is this going to I don't understand how 23,000 people watched that and thought yeah I want to see a little bit more of that now his Facebook mom humor is actually not what got him put on the hot seat it was actually because he copy stried a YouTuber named inguen when he uploaded a video called why everyone hates the Manny show this got Manny a lot of negative attention because a copy strike is a lot different from a copy claim where a copy claim basically just makes it to where any money you make on that video goes to whoever claimed your video a copy strike on the other hand pretty much sends a message to that creator creator that they want your channel deleted because once you get three strikes your channel actually gets deleted by YouTube so a copy strike is basically like this forbidden Jutsu like a domain expansion for getting a video removed on YouTube you just don't do it there's so few circumstances for when a copy strike is actually Justified and inu's video was not justification for a copy strike since pretty much all he did was just go over a couple of Manny's videos and say yeah this cringe pretty much the same thing I did like 30 seconds ago then things got even worse for him when a few days later he actually copy struck another YouTuber by the name of Coco crazy when they uploaded a similar video to inguin and this one was worse for him because Coco crazy is actually 16 years old so a lot of people kind of saw this as him just like bullying a minor and basically trying to Snuff out her career before it even began all because she said some things about him that he didn't like so this kind of painted the picture that Manny was abusing the copy strike system so that people couldn't talk bad about him which is not only against YouTube's Community guidelines but it's actually illegal so because of all of this Manny was essentially The Talk of the Town for like the last 2 weeks now pretty much everyone of their mother made a video on him I would have been here dunking on him too if it wasn't for the fact that I've been dealing with Instagram having banned me so like rest in peace my Instagram but anyways back to the point so Manny was getting pretty catastrophically on and he went pretty much 2 weeks without saying a single thing about any of it which is probably not the best thing that you can do but last night Manny did the unthinkable and did something that I don't think a single other YouTuber in the history of YouTube has been able to do and he brought his career back from the dead this guy's channel was barreling towards the light and he saw somehow managed to snatch it out of the Clause of death and it was all thanks to this one video here called setting the record straight oh hi I'm Manny from the Manny show and you might know me from such things as uh Tik Tok YouTube shorts Instagram reals now I never really made a video where I speak directly to you so this actually feels kind of weird but I want to set the record straight about what has happened since I returned from my very first VidCon last week so being a content creator it's a fulltime job and it's a ton of work and my team is literally just me and my friend so ahead of VidCon I hired an agent to help me manage my monetization sharing and they went beyond by filing a copyright claim on en Queen's video and flagging some others yeah so this basically highlights a pretty big issue that YouTube has and it's the fact that any random jackass can just file a copy strike whenever they feel like it like it doesn't even have to be the person that actually made the video and this to me makes the copy strike system absolutely terrifying like just a few days ago the same thing happened with Sniper Wolf everyone dog piled on her thinking she was filing a bunch of copy strikes when it actually turned out she had no idea who did it which I mean to be fair it's not like filing a copy strike would be the worst thing she's ever done but it still goes to show just how broken of a system it is like there is no good reason why a system that holds that much power over somebody's livelihood should be that easy to exploit yeah I'm the genius who hired them but never with the intention to suppress any content or take down account anounced like me as someone who has been censored by Tik Tok multiple times like I am firmly against censorship yep you and me both Manny you and me both immediately contacted enen to see the video found no issue with the video and contacted YouTube to reinstate the video and make things right with enu he's actually not lying about this the video is back up on inu's channel so I mean yeah good on him for actually getting on it and making sure right I immediately fired the agent I immediately fired the agent when I first heard him say it was his agent I honestly half expected him to be like well we sat him down gave him a couple of tootes on the ass and then we told him hey buddy we're going to give you an all expense paay trip to Fiji just go over there for about 2 weeks think about what you did and then come back so it's good to see that he actually fired him because that agent is an actual problem that guy has no business handling copyright systems I also contacted YouTube to remove any claims against any other videos that may have been like what caught up in bull God you know shit's getting real when the familyfriendly mom humor YouTuber cusses like but at the end of the day it is my name on the channel I hired the agent and I take full responsibility like to those outraged by this I am genuinely sorry with what has happened I really like this part because I feel like it shows that he is actually a really good person because this is a skill that most people like not even YouTubers I'm not just talking about YouTubers I'm talking about just people in general most people don't have the ability to just own up to something and take responsibility like especially when he didn't even really necessarily need to take responsibility for it cuz like he said it was all on the agent the agent is the one that did this he could have just easily said yeah my agent was a piece of he made a wcky but I mean that's not on me man I don't know what you want me to do but the fact that he actually took some of the blame for it for the fact that he hired him I think is really good like little life Pro tip for anybody watching this almost anything you do with of course some obvious except if you just own up to it it immediately makes you look a lot better people will have so much more respect for you if you just own up to what you do some of you may disagree with what I do mine is a comedy channel and I certainly have no problem with people making fun of me you know I almost feel bad for calling him cringe now Manny if you're watching this I just want you to know I may not like your content as a matter of fact I can't stand it but outside of that you seem like a pretty cool dude and at the end of the day that's what really matters no Creator should ever copyright strike another content creator by any any means but it's it's also clear a number of you haters accuse me of copying and stealing other people's content literally have a fundamental misunderstanding of how YouTube shorts and Tik Tok platforms are engineered every YouTube short video is uploaded with two options under shorts remixing allow video and audio remixing or allow only audio remixing as shown in the image above like this is a feature not a bug of the platform and any audio that's uploaded to shorts is easily allowed to be used by other creators to remix or recreate a brand new video this is the only part of the video that kind of made me roll my eyes a little bit and not really because he's necessarily wrong about anything but more just because I feel like he kind of missed the point of what people were actually saying about him you can use other people's content you're very much allowed to do that but you can't claim someone else's content as your own which I feel like is what most people were kind of trying to get at not really that he was stealing content per se but more so that he was giving copyright claims to videos that weren't technically his to claim and then apart from that the other criticism was the fact that it's just kind of extremely low effort content pretty much all of his videos are just him lipsyncing over someone else's audio so a lot of people weren't even really labeling it as stolen content they were just kind of calling it trash which I mean I make commentary videos okay it's not exactly like I'm out here with an IMAX camera filming the next Batman movie like I get the slop content grind okay get your bag people got bills to pay I get it if you think my comedy is cringe though or brain rot that's great like good for you there are plenty of other things you could watch with the swipe of a finger and there seems to be plenty of people who do like my comedy and good for them thanks fans and subscribers I actually really agreed with him on this part cuz this is a really big issue when you make any kind of content especially on YouTube if someone doesn't like your video they will make sure you know it and it's like why what's the point if you really dislike someone's video that bad just leave a dislike and keep scrolling cuz at the end of the day no matter how much you hate a video if you really didn't like it that much just don't watch it again nobody's forcing you to watch anything so yeah hate comments are just a really stupid thing that I just I don't understand the point of like criticism is fine but just to leave a legitimate hate comment on something I just I don't get it I've never understood it oh and to those hate videos like I absolutely respect your right to do so uncensored so keep up the good work and frankly not to get back to the thumbnails but a lot of the thumbnails I've seen are way better than mine and they actually catch the good side of me like look at my teeth they're whiter like if this thumbnail could get back to me the creator of this thumbnail I could actually use better thumbnails anyways thanks for watching and understanding and to my fans thank you for your love and support so yeah I thought that was overall a really good response and I mean I still wouldn't call myself a fan of him I'm not going to watch his videos but I do have massive respect for the guy now I mean to get Dunked On by the entirety of the internet and then take it that well and not be upset about it at all that takes a really specific kind of person and I think it just goes to show that he's probably actually a really good guy so yeah that's all I had to talk about [Music]
