Lightmatica Tips and Tricks

Introduction

  • Lightmatica is a Minecraft Java client mod.
  • This is not a guide on installation; check video links for that.
  • Tips will cover: Selection, copying, pasting, locking, rotating, flipping, automating, analyzing, block changes, and more.

Configuration Menu

  • Open Configuration Menu: Press M
  • Hotkeys: Recommended keybinds for ease of use. Default settings can be left as is.

Using Lightmatica in Survival Mode

  • Hold a Stick: Necessary to use Lightmatica.
  • Modes: 9 modes exist; only 3 are available in Survival:
    1. Area Selection
    2. Schematic Placement
    3. Edit Schematic
  • Change Modes: Hold Left Control and scroll with the mouse wheel.

Area Selection

  1. Select Area: Make sure in mode 1 (Area Selection).
  2. Press M > Area Selection Browser > New Selection.
  3. Name your selection (e.g., "wall") and hit OK.
  4. Manipulate Box:
    • Use right-click and left-click to select corners.
    • Hold Alt and scroll to adjust the box.
    • Middle-click a corner to select that corner for adjustments.
  5. Save Schematic: Press M > Area Editor > Save Schematic.
    • Name your schematic and hit save.

Loading Schematics

  • Load Schematic: Press M > Load Schematics > Select your schematic (e.g., "wall 1") > Load.
  • Unload Schematic: Return to the menu and select unload.

Managing Selection Boxes

  • Close Selection Box: Press the hotkey (e.g., 2).
  • Re-open Selection Box: Press the create selection box key (e.g., 1).

Rotating and Placing Schematics

  • Mode 2: Switch to schematic placement to move/rotate schematics.
  • Rotate: Use the schematic placement hotkey (e.g., - key).
  • Move: Click and drag to position.
  • Paste Schematic: Switch to creative mode to paste.
    • Switch to mode 5, position, and press 0 (execute operation).

Building in Survival Mode

  • Layer Mode: Set to single layer for building; navigate layers with arrow keys.
  • Toggle Block Render State: Press 7 to change between opaque and translucent views.

Analyzing Blocks

  • Block Count: Highlight area, press 4 (copy), then 5 (paste), and use J to analyze blocks. Shows material list.
  • Info HUD: Enable to see material counts in real-time.

Editing Schematics and Replacing Blocks

  • Edit Schematic: Enter mode 9 to modify the schematic directly.
  • Replace Blocks: Change one block type to another by configuring hotkeys (e.g., set to k).
  • Replace in Built Structures: Create an area selection and enter mode 4 for block replacement.

Filling and Deleting Blocks

  • Fill Areas: Use mode 3, select material, and execute with 0.
  • Delete Blocks: Use mode 8, select area, and execute with 0.

Hiding Lightmatica Rendering

  • Hide Everything: Press 9 to toggle rendering off; press again to bring it back.
  • Hide Selection Box: Press 8.

Advanced Features

  • Easy Place Mode: Allows blocks to be placed rapidly without manual input, adjustable in configuration.
  • Layer Mode Follows Player: Set this to true to have layers follow as you build up.
