father I come before you humble in my flesh but yet bold in the spirit for in my flesh life no good thing Lord I thank you because I have this confidence that you that you hear me when I pray and you are the god of my childhood you've been forever present on every page line of my story thank you for not being intimidated by the details but you've allowed me to find Destiny in it Lord um help me to walk out this yes help me to walk out this surrender because ultimately it's not about my name but I want your name glorified in the [Music] earth go [Music] you like some water B no I'm good I really need some coffee okay ready going get this done three two let's try to do it in one take one hi this is Sy y younger and I am a pastor I'm a father I'm a son I'm an artist and an author well so much has been happening in my life uh that I said I need to start journaling well I didn't bought at least two or three journals and I and I got maybe one page in it I'm not that successful in journaling so I decided to bring along a camera so I can Journal this season of my life so for the next two weeks I want you to see into my life at least a picture into it let's go [Music] some years ago we were in church and the people were dancing and praising God and I was trying to calm the crowd down so the Children's Choir could sing and I start saying a line I know what it is to cry until you have have no tears left to cry but after you finish crying get up and keep going I had no idea that that clip was going to go viral and not only did it go viral in the church world one morning I woke up and himself had shared it and reposted it I'm going to keep Hallelujah I'm going to keep going and so from that statement keep going I wrote a devotional book I feel like I was pressure to write it uh Enoch from my church he was my our manager he comes up with all these great ideas but anyway I wrote the book reluctantly and did not know that it would be so successful by God's grace and it got translated into Portuguese so because it got translated into Portuguese I am on my way then to the second largest book fair in all of Latin America because my book is being present it [Music] wow I am here at the international ho fair in hio De Janeiro the second largest book fair in all of Latin America it's been an amazing experience I'm here because today is the first time I am releasing my 30-day devotional book in Portuguese right so it's been in English and answer in Portuguese and I'm telling you uh this has been an eye openening experience and it's just another testimony of God's faithfulness because while I was writing the book keep going I wanted to quit a thousand times and so I remind you again I know what it is to cry and tell you you have no more tears left to cry but after you finish crying get up and keep going whatever you've been thinking about doing I believe that whatever is in your head God wants to put it in your hands just because time is gone by time does not change the promise of God is still going to happen God bless keep going the [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] for [Music] is God [Music] [Applause] so we just got here to S paollo last time I was on uh we were in Rio and now we're heading back home and when we were showing footage of Rio we were at the book fair it was beautiful everything was great but last night we decided to go to Christ the Redeemer statue we got there at night um and it was closed so uh we made our way back uh to the hotel but the GPS took us through the flavas or what we call the hood in the US and we were coming down um one of the streets two men came out with assault rifles and um and they pointed it at us and they told us why are you coming into our neighborhood well they were speaking in Portuguese and all I could think was the name of Jesus I was in in know Jus nor GJ El Pastor El pastor and uh they they were yelling at us they were yelling at us we would get down uh we would getting down in the car holding our hands up uh Andre was driving uh he's from ramp Church s Paulo he was trying to tell them we just coming through we got lost we got turned around and um so one of the guys they came close to the car and one of the guys with the gun came to my window and I did something crazy I grabbed him by the hand and I was like oh this school the scoa I was said I'm sorry I'm sorry I said El Pastor El pastor and he was like he told me he said calm down calm down calm down it's okay it's okay but he had the gun so I kept holding his hand uh did you know uh these men they let us go I thought they were going to at least steal our jewelry cuz you know we had on jewelry and a phone I did hide my phone uh but they didn't steal anything from us they let us go and I was like de been so got bless you God bless you I'm praying for you and I was looking for the book keep going cuz we just had it translated in Portuguese I I actually felt like it was one of my opportunities to preach in Portuguese but I wasn't ready I wasn't ready I'm I'm going be ready next time I mean I don't want to be carjacked next time but if I get a chance to preach Jesus again and Portuguese I will but people always told us how some of the neighborhoods in Rio I was but man that was a real life experience but the crazy thing is I was nervous but I wasn't terrified it's kind of crazy but it's like I had an inward piece so like I knew we were going to uh make it out and so I looked in the back for Joshua you know Joshua usually sleeps through everything but Joshua was asleep he laid down in his seat too but um he did get a picture of the band as we pulled off so that was my Rio experience out of all the times I've been to Rio been through the flavas in s paollo I've always heard the stories but it never has never happened to me but when I told Pastor her about it he sent me a article where two Italian tourists was in Rio and that GPS took them through a neighborhood and they got shot and killed thank God for grace and mercy now it is late at night but we're getting ready to jump on a plane to go all the way to Washington DC non-stop we get to DC going to jump in the car I'm praying that we uh you know are not delayed because I need to jump right in the car when I get to DC to go straight to Lynchburg which is going to be 3 and a half 4 hour drive and um we'll get to church for Sunday morning so no sleep I'm going try to sleep on the plane but perap we'll make it to church in the morning yeah I love you Brazil make sure [Music] right father thank you so much for for traveling Mercy over the hairways that you bringing us on the roadways so we give you praise for your hand of protection given Angels charge over us we can follow out the instructions and walk out this assignment you given us thank you for being faithful on the journey I give you praise for all things in Jesus name amen amen he is one of the very best rers cuz he can go fast and maneuver and don't he drives too fast though so we left Lynchburg yesterday morning and we came up spent the night stayed over got up this morning probably around about 4:30ish to get to the airport to pick Bishop up um for his flight from Dallas airport then we're going to drive back to Lynchburg this morning and then after uh church at some point will drive to Richmond for another service to the end um and so um when we leave there we'll have Partners from our DC church that will um drive him from Richmond back to DC for the remaining period of the week the crazy thing is you know we just flew almost 10 hours from Brazil but and we jump in the car and going straight to church and I can't say it's the first time I've done this because it's always complicated about uh when you Pastor in more than one Church we have a church on another soil you know which church service do you miss right and of course I really pushed the church to be um Ministry driven instead of Minister driven the truth is people want to see their pastor and some point and uh today is a baby dedication um one of my faithful members of the church um I'm dedicating all of our grandbabies and one service so I knew I couldn't miss miss that service [Music] [Music] you Ser For Your Glory you Ser for your honor in the name of Jesus I dedicate this child back to [Music] you I give her back to you I give back to you in Jesus that you can eat of all the fruit in the garden except this one tree and before you judge Adam Adam is us out of all the things we have a freedom to do is something in us that wants to choose wrong every time lord where where are you where are you you know I'm blessed with the opportunity to be an aerate speaker you know preaching all over the US and different parts of the world often times I'm shocked that people still want to hear my voice huh uh but I know more than my voice it's it's the word of the Lord that people really want to hear um I'm thankful to be a preacher but even more being a good preacher I've always wanted to be a good pastor I really really that's been always a strong passion of mine so although I preach all over the world it's nothing like coming home to the ram Church International uh these are the people who started with me in the beginning and now I've seen generations starting to be born into the church and so when I go to the ramp it's more than the preaching the dancing and the singing um we do life together you know we've cried together we celebrate together and so before I run out the door on Sundays I want to make sure I get around and wrap my arms around these people because I always say you can't do ministry if you can't do people [Music] hey I miss you I miss you ringles uhoh right that [Music] was w one 2 saying for you are with me [Music] for with [Music] we're [Music] W when I'm sleep [Music] [Music] thank you so much and and I see the Lord bringing you by them in this next season and you actually seeing that the colors Chang and you see that they're buddy and supernaturally they're going to produce as in the timeline that naturally would take them to mature throughing [Music] season it's so good to see all of you uh feels about another take three two one often times I say God expresses his love toward us based upon the people he brings into our lives and you know I've been in a season of my life with Ministry that I look for reference points you know I look for people that I can glean from people who've been doing it longer than I've been doing it I have a great Pastor Bishop Hall and but I believe God brings different coaches and motivators into our lives to push us and so um when I started the church in Washington DC one of The Gatekeepers of that City that I wanted to make sure I connected with is Archbishop Alfred Owens Bishop Owens has been pastoring the same church for over 50 years I think he started pastoring at 22 and so him and I go to lunch on a regular Archbishop ow Owens is very candid um he always reminds me that I've gained too much weight uh so he's he's a uh comes off as a strong Father Figure and coach and motivator so yes Archbishop Alfred Owens of the Greater Mount Calvary holy church I would go in many places I don't know the people are you Bishop Owens or hey bishop Owens and they name another church where they've heard heard me so that's it's it's very as the old folks used to call call it and I'm old now um living above reproach can't nobody spot your life and that's a diff it's a difficult thing to do but uh live so God can use you anytime and any place and somebody like you you are so you're like a overnight people have asked me where did he come from you're like a overnight success so they don't know that you grew up in the country right and uh you have such a great anointing on your life you've been around for a long time but all of a sudden God said I'm going put you in your right season you haven't just started preaching singing being gifted but we all have a season and just like at 77 years old mine is ending yours is just beginning but it's not just starting you know you started a long time ago you've been doing good you been anointed of God but God said now younger this is your season to bring you forth and traveling like you do all literally all over the world World attracting so many young adults that's the first thing I heard about you some of your colleagues in Lynchburg when I asked about you oh he's a church full of young adults young people and that's such a good sign of God's anointing now because a lot of young adults are turned away from church because they are exposed to options of the world that I was not exposed to definitely and you were not exposed to although you ow enough to be my son so times are changing but as men and women of God we must not change the father that to follow that flow so that's my advice live so God can use you anytime anywhere any place to see where we are now to see what the Lord has done at the ramp Church um over these years has been phenomenal I'm I'm amazed and I can remember the prophecies that went forth of people that would come to the church and say I see God taking you all into a global Ministry um and we were you know we can look around and be it was you know in in the dungeon or at at the Memorial Avenue church or or um at 3760 Camas Mountain Road where what we saw around us didn't look like what the what the word of the prophecy that was spoken was but the fact that people held on to it by faith and believed it's so amazing to see what faith can produce um in trusting God and and in taking him at his word at this time in the service I was done praising God and I just knew that everybody was going to be looking at me funny you know but I'm okay with it but for the first time when I was done praising God I looked around and nobody was looking at me cuz everybody was going in I said I found my people I don't know what this means I don't know what this looks like but I feel like I'm supposed to be connected with people and Bishop young started preaching and for the first time in my life I felt like I was fing in the presence of somebody that could help me navigate out of the darkness that I was [Music] in so Daniel now I've been your pastor for while now like how is it being like I know every pastoral style is different so how would you describe our relationship it's it's amazing um but it's real let's say in your love and maturity um you've opened yourself up to be vulnerable and so I've seen the humanity in you as well as the god in you and it has been nothing but amazing in all honesty um the fact that I've seen you when you're exhausted I've seen you when you're frustrated I've seen you when you're tired and it's late and things go wrong and life happens and the fact that it's this still the same you that I see preach on the pulpit every week and that's blessed me because I don't have to think that it's a a show I don't have to wonder that um but I get to see it and I and I get to I've gotten I've gotten to see that side of you and it and it makes me appreciate the value makes me feel the weight of what you say from the pulpit because I know you've lived it and I know that it's not just coming out of a place of of you being handed a microphone it's not coming from you being given a platform but it's I've I've heard enough of the testimonies I've seen enough of the of the living testimonies that I know that it's real and that it's God yeah yes sir thank you and then we going to talk about holy consecration okay okay here we go all right how do you do you feel I feel good he feels good we going to start off with that going be like good morning everyone yes oh what else we got we're excited so we want you to be a part so many testimonies if you did not watch Bible study tonight we didn't have Bible study tonight we had testimony service we had preconc testimony service I pray you thinking Roger we were there to we there Friday and right we were there and we were there the whole week the time before the year before oh that's right the year before we were there the whole Sunday right but we were here the big service was here last last year last year this year this year [Music] right I know [Music] you try to come morning I trying to come tomorrow morning hold on he didn't come to the Bible study well are you abusing him and you told him he couldn't come robt cuz he got a black eye he's been in the gym with he at the he been in the gym oh oh okay yeah he heard he heard discipline is the what the grace to grow into something because you know what somebody fought me on social media cuz I said sanctification is a process and they argument now we're Sanctified by Christ yes we are Sanctified by Christ we are Sanctified by Christ for us to sanctify ourselves I am so happy that members of my church are getting more and more healthy no really and I was challenging the people to unig that backs but now sometime it gets annoying cuz now they all about hell all about and what's right and these drinks got poison in it I like a little poison I need the ging because I got it got the uh like medicine it's medicine Ginger I got to help him see Ginger it's not really so so to realize black people we don't call this soda black people in America will say oh I don't drink soda and then they say you have a ginger ale cuz for us it's medicine listen I don't even know it's l I know you keep hugging everybody talking I want you to know you are not my past you you are not my Bishop you don't tell me what to do you absolutely right Bishop but now you both we both know when you teach this the gift of administration part of it is to help to preserve the man of God so I'm just trying to help preserve you my word is in your mouth he always says stuff real spirit all right let's go on the D6 it's getting late [Music]
