Lecture Notes: Creation of the Universe and Humanity
Introduction
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Allah existed alone, as the First, without anything beside Him.
Creation Process
First Creation: The Throne of Allah.
Greater than we can imagine, compared to a chair as a ring in a desert.
The Chair encompasses the heavens and the earth.
Water: The Throne is placed upon water.
The Pen: Created next, commanded to write what would occur until the Hour.
Everything is recorded in the Preserved Tablet.
Timeline: After 50,000 years, Allah created the heavens and the earth in six days.
Details of Creation
Earth Creation: Divided into two days and four days for sustenance.
Heavens and Earth: Initially one mass, separated by Allah, creating seven layers of each.
Vapor: Sky was created from water vapor, described as smoke.
Submission: Both the heavens and the earth submitted willingly to Allah's command.
Creation of Jinn
Jinn Origin: Created from smokeless fire, living on earth with responsibilities.
They spread corruption, leading to divine punishment.
Satan: A former angel of high rank amongst Jinn, became arrogant and rebellious.
Introduction of Humans
Divine Announcement: Allah informed angels of His intention to create a new creation (humans).
Angels' Concerns: Questioned the decision, recalling Jinn's history of corruption.
Allah's Knowledge: Allah reassured the angels of His wisdom in creating humans, who would include prophets and righteous individuals.
Creation of Adam (PBUH)
Soil Gathering: Gabriel and Michael were commanded to collect soil, but the earth sought refuge from them.
Angel of Death: Successfully took soil from various parts of the earth, representing diversity (colors, hardness).
Formation of Adam: The soil was mixed with water to create clay, evolving over time into a complex form.
Sounding Clay: The clay became like pottery, producing sound when tapped.
Angels' Observation: Amazed by the new creation, while Satan exhibited envy and hatred toward it.
Conclusion
This narrative highlights the greatness of Allah's creations, the significance of the creation of humans, and the pivotal role of Adam in the lineage of humanity.
