Differentiation of Kidney Deficiencies
Kidney Qi Deficiency

Symptoms: Overheating at night, low pitch tinnitus, less bone mass, more prone to dizziness.
Pulse: Thin, rapid.
Tongue: Red with cracks, dry/no coating.
Kidney Yang Deficiency
Signs: Cold sensation, weak lower back/knees, no libido, clear vaginal discharge, infertility with watery discharge, lower leg edema.
Symptoms: Need to stay warm, asthma, low willpower.
Pulse: Deep, weak, slow.
Tongue: Pale, swollen.
Treatment: Warm foods and herbs, keeping warm.
Kidney Essence Deficiency
Signs: Poor bone/teeth development, memory loss, poor mental development in children, premature gray hair/hair loss, low libido or infertility.
Symptoms: Osteoporosis, mental dullness, loose teeth.
Pulse: Weak, deep.
