so you know what the interesting thing about creating content is honestly I'm like I'm never going to be that guy who's in their car creating content like I just don't want to be that dude but it's things you realize the level of commitment if you actually want to be successful or if you actually want to make an impact and part of making an impact is extending your reach taking advantage of things like social media which is just bizarre right to be posting to be sharing your life with individuals and for us it's like how do we fit these things in we're running a property management company we're running a brokerage there are different aspects of what we're doing that can start to feel almost overwhelming right but you see all these individuals on social media and you're like oh yeah they're just putting out content they're pumping out content like crazy and you start to really think about like okay what is their family Dynamic really like I'm going on 15 years as a husband I have five amazing children one of my oldest is 22 so she's out there living her life doing her thing which is beautiful but then we have four babies in the house yes I'm I was a high school Dad if you're trying to put the math together that's okay I was a high school dad growing up in New York City it's a little out of control a little crazy but anyway these are some of the challenges so I would say as far as success is concerned and really setting yourself up is really thinking about this Compound Effect right cuz a lot of times we want to come out of the gate guns blazing right A lot of times we think about real estate as a getrich scheme right we think about like oh I'm going to get into real estate I'm going to absolutely crush it which is not the reality right A lot of people in 2020 during covid they decided to get their real estate license 2021 because the market was going insane right so you're thinking you're going to come in and you're thinking you're going to make money really quickly and you realize the gut punch the reality of The Compound Effect every day making improvements month in and month out making improvements to really push the envelope right and the big thing here is for us is we're not just doing this for the purpose of making money we've done a lot of what we've done especially in the beginning was putting ourselves in a position to learn really making education the center of our decision making essentially at the core saying hey if I work here or if I spend my time with this person what am I going to learn because in the learning the outcome of learning and education and then application you're able to reap the fruit of your labor which at times is money but money is not everything money is an outcome of what you're doing a result of what you're doing so if your focus is trying to make money as fast as you possibly can you may end up burning yourself out you may end up discouraged because that is not the correct frame of mind that you want to be putting yourself in so if you're interested in real estate right if you're thinking about hey I want to make $150,000 a year I want to make $200,000 a year I want to make a quarter of a million dollars a year whatever that number that you're thinking about regardless of what industry you're in you have to be thinking about The Compound Effect there's a phenomenal book on this I'm not saying anything new listen guys I don't know anything at all actually everything I say I've learned somebody had to read it right it's not just like I'm pulling stuff out of the air education is out there think about who you're investing your time with think about the people that you're surrounding yourself with if everyone that is around you is making as much money as you are has the same network of friends right all of those different things like I remember one of the my deepest desire was to get married I'm like I want to get married I want to get married I want to get married and I kept hanging out with single people those are the only people that I was hanging out with I was like man I got to change the my environment so then eventually I was like okay I'm going to start hanging out with married folks which sounds like a contradiction because you know they're married right it's not the play but you're surrounding yourself with people who are already living that lifestyle setting that example for you and those things are a little bit more helpful for your vision or your dream to become a reality right so anyway we're going off on a tangent with with all of these different concept so at the core I would say pace yourself it's a challenge creating content is weird because it's just you know I get it for younger people they're like oh yeah I want to create content I want to do this I want to do that and sometimes it's just not for everybody so just really think about the investment the time and also think about what you reap is what you sow so thanks for tuning in subscribe follow [Music]
