Prophecy Lesson: Satan Bound and Burned (Revelation 20)
- The millennium (1,000 years) begins at Christ’s second coming and the first resurrection of the righteous.
- The righteous are resurrected and receive glorified bodies; the wicked are destroyed by Christ’s return.
- The earth becomes desolate during the millennium, described as the “bottomless pit,” with Satan bound by circumstances.
- The saints spend the millennium in heaven, participating in judgment and reviewing God’s justice.
- At the end of the millennium, the New Jerusalem descends and all the wicked are resurrected for final judgment.
- Satan deceives the resurrected wicked for a final rebellion; fire from God consumes them in the second death.
- God creates a new heaven and new earth; the redeemed live with God forever, with no more pain, death, or sorrow.
Decisions
- Trust God by paying tithe even during financial hardship.
- Accept that the righteous will spend the millennium in heaven, not on earth.
- Embrace readiness for Christ’s return and seek to be part of the first resurrection.
