Jai Hind everyone! You all are welcome in Kedut Coffee Times with A.N.O.P.T. Swami. Friends, first of all, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart that you watch all our episodes and talk to us about it in the comment box.
Many of our listeners and viewers have asked us for an episode where we talk about stress. Yes friends, the things that stress us, the things that stress us, It is related to our normal life. And it increases so much that we see it in some form like anxiety, depression, trauma. And the amazing thing is that all the members of our age group, our friends, family members are suffering.
So we have fulfilled your wish in this podcast. And today with us, among us, who are coming to answer all these small questions is Dr. Dr. Vijay Kumar Girdhar. We welcome you, sir.
Dr. Girdhar works in the psychiatry department of GMSH Sector 16, Chandigarh. And sir has dealt with 25-40 patients or clients of daily routine. And he heals their mental stress, their different issues, their daily being issues.
The basic technique that we are discussing today is emotional freedom. technique eft eft so we welcome you both and what is it and how did you introduce it first? Okay. So EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique.
Okay sir. It has got three words, emotional, freedom and technique. Okay sir.
So normally when we talk about mental health, the first thing that affects mental health is our feelings. Okay. And you may have noticed that The moment you enter a class or the moment you enter a group and you feel that you are welcome there, you will feel good and if you feel by chance that people are not welcoming there, then the first disturbance will come in your feelings. So, the meaning of emotional freedom technique is that it will teach you to work on your feelings.
Okay. Right? So, whenever you are in distress, whenever you are in distress about anything, then this is such a beautiful technique. pure technique, it is an effortless technique, it is an easy technique that will teach you to correct your feelings by yourself. So I would like you to ask next question.
Yes. So sir who developed the EFT and what is the inspiration behind it? Okay, so the interesting thing is that normally the therapies are developed by psychologists or doctors.
Yes, we have heard about it. Right. But in the case of EFT, there was a beauty in it that doctors did not develop EFT. EFT is developed by a Stanford engineer named Mr. Gary Craig. Okay, sir.
G-A-R-Y Gary Craig. C-R-A-I-G Gary Craig. He is a Stanford engineer and he designed EFT.
He took inspiration from a person named Dr. David G-A-R-Y G-A-R-Y G-A-R-Y G-A-R-Y G-A-R-Y G-A-R-Y He was a student of a psychologist, his name is Roger Callahan. Okay. And Roger Callahan was working on a new and unique method. And Roger Callahan had an idea in his mind that as acupuncture helps to cure physical pain, then can something like this happen?
acupuncture or acupressure to cure emotional pain. So I am sure you all have an idea that emotional pain is very traumatic, emotional pain makes you very sad. Sometimes even though everything is happening, if you are emotionally in pain, then even though everything is happening, it doesn't feel good. Absolutely. Right?
For example, you have all the things in the world, but emotionally you are hurt, then you are not happy. Yes sir. So, can we treat emotional pain?
Roger Callahan was thinking like this. And he was looking for solutions in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. And he found some acupressure points which can cure fear.
like worry, insecurity, guilt, let down which we all have they were using acupressure to cure that now this Stanford engineer He understood the science behind it in detail. He said that if acupuncture is here and we do acupuncture here, then the physical pain is removed. If there is emotional pain, then where do we do tapping or where do we massage the acupressure point so that it is released?
What logic is this? So he thought that first of all, the patient should be asked that if you are emotionally distressed, then where is that difficulty coming to you? Okay. For example, 10 minutes ago I was helping a client.
The pain was coming to his heart. Right? On the left side. I knew about his history and I knew that he has guilt inside and he has been carrying guilt for a long time. So, he is feeling this pain.
Is there any acupressure point that can also end this guilt? and also to eliminate the physical pain So he designed a beautiful therapy by chance in which he Patients are told to rub or tap on the point where the emotion is giving them difficulty. For example, I told you that he has a problem in his heart, so he rubs on the heart.
And to heal the emotion, he says that this pain is happening because of this particular feeling. You got it? Yes sir. So, if you want to say a verbal statement, then the acupressure or massage will be on that emotional distress and the physical pain will be massaged there.
So, it will be removed from both the heart and the mind. It will be removed from the body and the mind as well. I hope I was able to explain it to you in a very simple way. I hope so. I don't know.
No sir, absolutely right. Sir, you just used the word acupuncture. and acupressure.
What is the difference between these two? Acupuncture is a beautiful traditional healing methodology In which for centuries, not centuries, the human mind knew that if we are feeling pain in any area of the body, at the muscular or skeletal level, then through the needles, The doctor takes the needle from the point where the pain is and takes an anatomy of that point. And when the needle is inserted, it goes from a few mm to as deep as 2-3 cm. Okay, that needle gets prick this much.
It is a very fine needle. It is 2-3 mm. If there is a superficial problem, then it is superficial.
If there is a problem at the bone level, then the needle will be taken to the deep level. And the patient realizes that the needle has reached the point from where the pain was arising. And then the needle is left there.
When the needle is left there, then the needle automatically has pain healing capacities. Now this... People found it in evidence based. At that time, science was not known why it was happening.
Now we know science too. But at that time, only needles were applied and in a short time it was seen that its pain was relieved. Now this same philosophy where we are using pressure instead of needles and we are pressing it with pressure. and massage in order to relieve us of that pain. You must have noticed that when we have a headache, we massage to treat it.
When we have neck pain, we massage to treat it. When we have a hand pain, we massage to treat it. So this is the science of acupressure.
Actually, traditional Chinese medicine people believed that our body has Prana, energy or Qi. They believed that pain means that in some form or another, the flow of energy has stopped. So, they massage and open it.
By opening it, the whole meridian pathway opens and the person used to feel good. Now, this is to cure physical pain. Does our meridian get blocked due to emotional pain?
And does it also get blocked by emotional distress? Acupressure can also be released. This came to the mind of Gary Gregg and Roger Callahan.
And from there a beautiful therapy originated. It originated in 1995. And Internet Kranti started at that time So from Internet Kranti it reached to patients before doctors Because patients were searching their solution so they saw that it is a therapy In fact patients have more and made it evidence based and doctors called him later ok Sivaji Sir what is the process of a basic EFT session? very good question ah I am covering two parts here. If someone wants to do the first time which we are introducing EFT, plus what is the basic, understand that. First of all, you have to identify what is bothering you, what is giving you stress.
To understand this, at this very moment, I will request you to You must be facing some problems in your life. It's not that we are not facing any problem. You must be facing some problems in these days.
So, the first point is that please identify what is giving you stress. Okay. You can identify. what is giving you stress? maybe yes so then sometimes when I feel I can't prepare on time or I feel I missed a point in my exam then how do you feel?
then I feel that guilty because I didn't prepare well for my exam guilty so you identify your point so maybe perhaps you feel left out or you feel rejected or maybe not accepted by that group and that makes you feel distress And ma'am, what do you have to say? Sir, because of my perfectionist nature, that is a thing which actually creates some way or the other problem. Because whatever is in the to-do list and I am not able to do it, then at night somewhere or the other...
So I am so happy that this is the first step. Please identify what is giving you distress. right? If you can note down that, if you can write it down, then you will be able to be completely focused and you will be able to identify what exactly is bothering you.
Right? So when you write down, then maybe you can give yourself an example that on that particular day, in that particular moment when I was left out, so I felt very bad and I kept on thinking and then I thought that what was my fault? I didn't even do anything like that.
why did they leave me out right is the ricketts essential than a thought me and something feels and you feel hurt somewhere in the body right the palace step a identify kejai or if possible lick leegi a pocahontas pressure step one step right so you said kiwi many You told me that I have to prepare something and if I am not prepared well then I feel kind of miserable or I feel that I didn't do good. So you have to identify what you are feeling in that particular issue. If you can name the feeling then you can name the feeling.
For example you have named that I feel left out. Yes. Yes.
I feel guilty. So I feel guilty. And you also named that I feel guilty when I don't do anything perfectly.
I do. Beautiful. This is step one.
Step two, how much does all this trouble you in a particular moment? When something new happens, you feel left out, that this didn't work out today, this didn't work out today, this didn't work out in the evening. So at that time, your level of distress will be higher.
As time passes, time is a big healer, so maybe the level of distress will be reduced. Isn't it? For example, you have to prepare for tomorrow and you have not prepared well.
So, you start feeling it at that time. Once the thing is over, perhaps it will be a little less. So, the second step is to identify how much you are upset, how much stress you are giving. So, are you giving distress at the mild level, at the moderate level or at the severe level?
Only you will know how much pain you are having. Right? So this is the second step. What is the second step?
You know how much you upset. So rate the level of distress and if you can rate it out of 10 then it will be very fine. n means maximum distance and zero means no distress like for example in your case if sometimes when you are feel you you feel left out so how much is the distress level Out of 10? At that particular moment, it's very high, like 8 or 9. And on other occasions? On other occasions, after some time I feel a little better.
But then at night when I'm not able to sleep, at that time it goes away. And sometimes it lingers on for weeks or maybe months as well. For you? For me, when I realized that I... really made a big mistake in a test then my anxiety levels go really high but then over time after two to three days i'm back to normal yeah so back to normal means it is zero out of ten or back to normal means it's manageable out of ten so what you need uh how you will rate your manageable level of this maybe three or four out of ten um let's just say ten out of ten no no manageable manageable no so maximum is ten on ten but when it it reduces spontaneously so at what level it reaches it it reaches to three or four out of ten three zero means no stress two or three means less stress zero so it so So without doing anything it reaches back to zero?
Yes. That's fine. In your case?
Sir, in my case in the beginning when I am into it, when I come to know that the work is not done, then I get five out of ten. But by God's grace I am practicing meditation and spirituality. And within 15-20 minutes if I sit in silence and like recollect and come to zero easily. Come to zero.
Right. So we all have devised our own methods of healing ourselves. Yes sir. Or becoming silent within.
yes sir so eft is also a very beautiful level method so second step is to identify that uh how much is the distress level in a given moment right step number three which is the really doable part of the eft just come actionable eft okay plus you have to say a set up statement with it and that statement has two parts in the first part you have to say that even though I am feeling distress because this thing has happened in my life so you have to fill that blank and you have to tell yourself that even though I am feeling distress because I have done this silly mistake and I am feeling guilty about it and how can I do this? So I am deep within, I am agitated, I am furious with myself. Yeah?
Yes. So you can use your own words, your own phrases, right? So first part is that as a victim you have to tell, as a sufferer you have to tell your agony, your problem.
And the second part is where you become your own healer or doctor and you will say ki despite this I am choosing to calm down myself. or i'm choosing to heal myself or choosing to accept myself the way i am right okay yes so in your case though i am feeling left out and i am in pain and how can they do it to me but then it's okay i would like to heal myself i would not not like to be in pain and this in this case you have to do both tapping as well as talking for example in clinical eft we start tapping here on the side of the hand okay and then say even though i feel distress even though i feel distressed when i do not perform well yeah when i use your own words when i when i don't do well on an exam and that makes me feel and that makes me feel guilty and anxious sometimes to a level of sometimes to an extreme level to an extreme level despite this despite this I am choosing to I am choosing to be myself and relax myself very good so in clinical EFT you have to repeat this statement 2 more times so in clinical EFT you have to repeat this statement So to guess the best results, you have to repeat this statement two times. OK, three times in total.
So first you have spoken and now speak again. Again, even though even though even though I am just not well on the test, I choose to calm myself down and relax. Excellent. Excellent. The only thing is that you have to say it with lots of feelings, emotions.
Right. Right. You have to feel.
You have to counsel yourself as a friend right as you are counseling your your inner child your inner self right say it again Even though I am anxious that I did not perform well on the test, I choose to calm myself down and relax Yeah so good if you have to make a statement how you will make statement even though Even though I feel left out when they do not give me attention But I choose not to. And that makes me feel? And that makes me feel really left out. Really left out and that makes me feel overthink?
That makes me overthink. And that makes me feel what's wrong with me? And that makes me feel what's wrong with me. why they have left me out so I start say I start in a way I start punishing myself or judging myself yeah yes I give a lot despite this excellent exit so good so as per clinical EFT say two more times Even though, even though, start with even though.
Even though I feel really lonely when they do not pay attention to me. Yes. And that gives me a lot of stress, that gives me a lot of tension and makes me overthink. But still I choose not to. Sometimes I start doubting my own self.
Sometimes I start doubting my own self. And sometimes I start hating them. Sometimes I start hating them.
But still I choose not to think about them and calm myself down. Excellent. So beautiful.
So beautiful. Say it third time. even though i feel really lonely when i do not get attention by them but still even though i start to overthink i start hating myself but still i choose to calm myself down and not think about them excellent so beautiful i'm so happy that you are making a very natural statement you just have to remain aware that you have to include two two statements first is you are uh speaking as a victim or you are speaking as a sufferer you are speaking as a client or you are speaking as a patient and the second part you become your own healer and say to yourself compassionately that i want to heal myself compassionately right yes will that be fine yes okay so okay so even though I am not able to do anything. In the end, I feel that I have left a lot of work in the to-do list.
And then I keep asking myself, why you wasted your time, why you did not utilize it more effectively. And this is how I I get trapped in this cycle. Despite this, I make a choice today that I calm down and accept myself.
Excellent. Very good. I accept myself very well.
I was seeing that you were feeling it from your heart. So you have to say it from your heart. Your prayer will come from here.
Your therapy, your suffering will come from here. And counseling should also come from here. I want to heal myself. Right? Say it again.
Even though I am not able to do my tasks perfectly, I feel guilty about it. I accept myself by accepting it with my heart. Excellent. So if I have to modify you a little more, then I have to say that even though my habit is good that I am a perfectionist, But this habit of being a perfectionist sometimes becomes a headache for me. Sometimes it brings me into guilt.
So I am saying this being very compassionate to myself that I want to retain this habit of doing things in a very good way. But if I get left out of any work, I will still have compassion on myself. It's okay.
That makes more sense. So one part of me wants to say question myself, the other part of me wants to say it's okay. So say this statement integrating these ideas. Even though I sometimes Because of this perfectionist attitude, many to-do lists are left.
And while thinking deeply about it, while troubling myself a lot, while roaming around in the same cycle, today I accept myself again, and with this choice, that this compassionate feeling of mine for this particular task, for the perfectionist nature, I accept that. I accept that. I will remain a perfectionist in future also but I will be compassionate if the work is not done. I will be very compassionate for myself in future also whether the work is done or not.
Yes, so beautiful. And I want to heal myself. And I want to heal myself. That means you don't want to leave your quality also.
Yes. At the same time, we have to remain human. After doing our best, we are human.
When things are left behind, we don't want to put our neck down. We don't want to get ourselves trapped in that guilt and say, it's okay. Sir, whatever you have done, I want to tell my listeners and viewers that I am feeling such good vibrations As if someone has given a real therapy and it's just we are tapping on this area and we are just talking to ourselves Yes sir, so good. So this was step 3. Now we will move to the step 4 Okay sir People have identified, our forefathers have identified that there are more points in our body from where acupressure can be released. So to release stress from all the body, we will tap on those 7-8 acupressure points.
One of them is top of the head. So if you want to release all the stress, you can tap on the top of the head as well. Now I am releasing the stress due to this issue. Now I am releasing the stress due to this issue.
So this is your first point. The next point is on your eyebrow. Where the eyebrow is on your nose, it is found from the bridge. So you have to tap here and tap on both sides.
You can do it separately or in groups. Next point is the side of the eye. This is our orbital bone. Tap on this bone with two fingers. Next point is below the eye.
These are the points from where we can release our stress. These points are maximally on the face as well as on the chest. The next point is below the nose.
From here. The next point is above the chin. Next point is below the collar bone It goes to the left side Here is the heart, below the collar bone Left side Right While tapping say, now I want to release this stress Say it everywhere Now I want to release this stress related to my issue Right So you have to tap on these acupressure points and you have to keep talking See, you don't have to think, you have to speak So, we started from here We started from here How many times sir? We had to say the whole statement three times If we tap even 100 times while speaking, it's okay If we tap even 200 times, it's okay Our focus should be on our statement and feelings Does that make sense?
Because we have to reduce that feeling Okay, this is... This is the therapy to heal the feeling. Emotional freedom technique.
So remember, if you can feel it, if you can feel any problem, you can heal it. Okay. So this is the dictum. If you can feel it, you can heal it.
So sir, we started our problem from the first statement. We started from there and we have to repeat it three times. On step number four, we have to do all the other acupressure points.
Top of the head, eyebrow point, side of the eye point. Yes. below the eye point okay and below the nose point okay and above the chin point and then of course on the left side of the chest So, did you watch the movie All is Well?
All is well, all is well. Really. So, you don't have to say all is well.
You have to say that I am healing, I am healing my, I am willing to let go the stress because of my issue. Yes sir. You have to say this.
So, whatever words you use, the intention should be that you are releasing the stress. Yes sir. So, I am willing to release my stress due to that issue.
So, you have to do this. And when your step number 4 is completed, you will understand that your 1 round is completed. What will you understand?
That 1 round of the EFT is complete. Now you have to move to step number 5. Step number 5 is after completing 1 round, you will sit relaxed and then breathe in and breathe out. So sit relaxed and breathe in and breathe out.
And deep in your heart, Try to catch again how much stress is left in you from that issue. Right? Please make an attempt to identify that because of that particular issue, see how much stress is left in you. Are you able to focus on it, are you able to catch that stress? Which was in your case arising out of that I didn't perform well in the test, I became anxious.
Yes. How much stress are you able to identify? Out of 10, just 2. Just 2?
Yes. Yours? And the left out's?
3 or 4 0? 3 or 4, 0 0? Yes sir So you should clap for me Yes Sure, sure sir, absolutely So I have got the magic in your hands Yes And you will not believe This magic has transformed my whole life Whole life I am not saying this just because I am promoting it Yes sir I sincerely want this to be a part of every educational institute. The biggest suffering in the world is not Corona, viruses or bacteria.
The biggest malady is that we are made to feel that we are not good enough. So what is the biggest melody? And this is the same melody of today's students.
I am not good enough. See in your case also, why you punish yourself? Maybe I am not good enough. Right? Yes, yes, yes.
In your case also, I feel left out. Maybe I am not good enough. Yes.
Why you punish yourself that even after working so much, even after working so perfectly, and even after working so much, Even after working till my age, I still feel sad that I didn't do this work and maybe I am not good enough. Yes, very true. So, what happened to human melody? Even if people work as actors and actresses their whole life, they put it in whatever work they are doing.
But at the end of the day, they eat this thing that I am not good enough. Yes, that's true. Sir, this is coming.
So, DFT helps you to... accept yourself despite your weaknesses. Sir, but we can use EFT for every issue.
Okay, so always understand one thing that whenever you are under stress, it is for any reason, whether it is an internal issue or an external issue. Okay. It is a thought that is bothering you, it is a trauma of the past, it is a memory that is coming again and again.
Yes. It is a physical symptom in the body, it is distress that is bothering you. Okay. Let's say the environment is very humid right now and I am not feeling good.
So the feeling is there but I am not feeling good. I am not able to adjust to this atmosphere. So you can do simple tapping that although the atmosphere is humid and I am not feeling well, despite this I am choosing to relax myself, accept myself.
This never means that I don't want to take any action regarding that situation. That only means that first of all, I need to calm down myself in order to take the best response. That makes sense? Correct. Yes.
That doesn't mean that you don't have to say fight with them that why they have left you out. So you should ask your friends why you have left me out or ignore them if they are not listening to them. Yes.
That means EFT never means that you are not going to take action. EFT only means that you have to first relax yourself. Don't make yourself miserable.
Correct. First relax yourself, take it easy. 95% of the problem will go away and even you don't want to respond to them or respond to situation and in 5% cases take your best response. Sir, you are absolutely right.
When we talk to ourselves, when we become satisfied, then what happens is that the issue that was being created at that time, instead of reacting, we learn to respond and then gradually the issue gets over. When you get relaxed, your emotional brain gets relaxed. And your frontal cortex, prefrontal cortex, the logical part, your intellect comes back and you can take intelligent decisions.
Yes, absolutely sir. Does that make sense? Yes sir.
You must have seen so many times that you prepare very well and then leave, but as soon as the exam comes, All are black. And when we exit the exam, we remember everything. That means when we are emotionally charged up or agitated, then we are only on survival.
At that time our logical mind doesn't work. True. So the whole idea is that if you can... Maintain your emotional balance. Your mental health will improve like anything.
And you won't become a victim to... these kind of say emotional distress right? Yes, that makes sense.
So then how is this EFT different from other traditional forms of therapy? So beautiful. See, you must have seen that first 3rd generation mobiles came, then 4th generation mobiles came, then 5th generation mobiles came. So the 4th generation mobiles were the advancement of the 3rd generation. And the fifth generation mobile is even faster and has more advancements.
So all other forms of therapies, let's assume that they are third generation. EFT is fourth generation. All the beautiful points are of third generation. But the additional part is that the tapping part is added.
Earlier, there was only the talking part in therapy. and the counsellor who has to be counselled, dialogue used to take place between them. Correct.
Right? In this, you become a counsellor yourself and you yourself become a counsellor. Self-help.
Correct. And second, along with this, there is also compassionately, gently tapping. You must have seen, there are many young children. Suppose, a child is younger than one year, he cannot tell what is troubling him. So, the caregiver of that child, whether it is his grandmother, grandmother, mom, aunt, or whoever, he picks her up and taps her.
Yes, exactly. You have seen, he taps her. Yes, exactly. And when he taps her, she calms down.
Yes, yes, yes. Whether she is facing any issue or not, and 90% of the time, your therapy is tapping on her. Correct.
Right? Since childhood. The healing touch in tapping is such that you will see that later that child, If he lies down next to you, he will say with your hand, first tap me, then he will not come.
Sir, we will say this, it happens with dogs. Even with pets, when your pet comes, he will come inside you, tap me, pat me, touch me. Exactly, very true.
This is the healing touch. This is the beauty of healing touch. Sir, this is unknowingly, all our mothers, So those who have seen their newly born babies, they have given them acupressure and then the baby sleeps.
Even the caregiver does not know what is the problem with the baby, why he or she is crying. So he sways him, gives him lorry, says some soothing words and taps him. Actually, it is EFT.
Do you want to ask something Vijay? Yes sir, so basically when we are doing it, my pets also come to me and they are crying and when I tap them, when I kiss them, at that time they are like... Okay, they are fine. And you will notice that healing is happening both ways here. They are also getting it and you are also getting it.
Oh yes, very true sir. Yes, absolutely. This is such a beautiful process that it is a win-win for everyone.
So when the mother is tapping the child, the child is not the only one getting healed, the mother is also getting healed. Sir, as you have told us, in EFT, you have told us about the points. So our listeners and viewers have understood that we have started from here, then we have taken it here, then we have taken it to the eyes, then to the side of the eyeball, then to the under eye, then to the nose.
and then chin and then here we have to keep this process and sir has also told the technique and phrases so he has also told the importance of it, why is it important to say if we just tap then what will happen ok so if we tap then it is not that if we tap then it will cause any harm if we tap then your physical or physiological distress the physical part of your pain will be released but the main issue which is bothering you Until you speak, focus or tune in on it, it will be hidden or avoided. So you don't need to see. The first response to any distress is avoidance.
This is a natural response that we avoid things. For example, we are walking and there is dirt ahead. So we think, let's go out from the left or right.
So the first response is avoidance. Always. Whenever you feel pain, your first response is to save it. Avoidance. Avoidance is a beautiful method.
It saves you from a lot of problems. But sometimes it's not good. Let's say I ask you, tomorrow is your exam. The first response is avoidance. I take a day off.
Often children have stomach pain or eyes start to hurt and they say they don't want to go. And finally while avoiding, you have a photo there that avoidance is not the ultimate solution to your sufferings. So sometimes you have to give a test. So why not keep?
say to yourself that at this moment I am not choosing to avoid but I am choosing to deal with it Yes, that makes sense. Sir, this reminds me of a thing that whatever our situation is, whether it is fear, guilt or anxiety whatever our emotions are, avoiding them means that we have closed our door. So it is behind the door.
As soon as we open the door, it is there. So it is better that we open the door and greet it. So beautiful, so good.
So we are so good at pushing our dirty linens and closing the closet. And we think we will see later. They come in so much dirty clothes in the closet and it smells so much. That you don't want to open it. Exactly.
Right? So don't do this to us. Yes.
We can lock them in the closet for a moment. But at an appropriate time when we have time, we should bring them in and deal with that. What a thing!
Sir, you have told our listeners and viewers a very beautiful thing. See, how good you have told us that when we keep our clothes in Elmira, we keep them in the closet. We feel like washing our clothes.
We feel the bad smell. So, friends, think about what are the old things in our mind, in our intellect, in our intellect, which are related to the old people, which are not even in our picture. Even then, the mind, the intellect is making a bad smell. So, why not to clear it off and remove it and keep ourselves fresh.
So be it. You tell us something else. Yes, so sir, could you tell us a personal story where your clients really benefited from the...
So you will be amazed to know that in 2014 one of my patient whom I was helping with the process of yoga nidra and past life regression therapy out of gratitude that patient and her husband brought me this book with the name of You Can Heal Your Life With Emotional Freedom Technique by John Freedom. So I think the time was right for me to get this book. So I started reading this book and my God, I related it to... In such a beautiful way that I realized that we can do this easily. And as I started reading the case stories on it, I started feeling that I am doing this.
This is what I am doing. This is what I am doing. And very fast I integrated the emotional freedom technique in my own self and with my own patients. That day is today, 2024, 10 years down the line.
We have helped. Around may be 7-8000 patients. My God! On such a simple technique sir.
And no medicine. Such a simple technique. I won't say no medicine but I think that the frequency of medicines, dosages, all that reduces. Plus it gives you power to take charge of your own suffering.
Otherwise when you are in pain. When I go to a doctor, I give him the power to choose for me. So, in this, the power is not in someone else's hands, but in you. Have you ever heard the anecdote that we used to put the Aladdin's lamp on and it would come out?
And it used to say, what is the command? Today, after 10 years, I have realized that this is the Aladdin's lamp. that it will calm down your level of distress in a few months so much that you will feel at peace. Then what will happen?
Then what beauty will be there when you feel at peace? You will be left with enormous amount of energy which was previously being drained in negative thinking. Great. Now that energy, you can apply it in creativity in anything.
Wonderful. You can apply it in creating health. You can use it to create wealth, knowledge, or to build something.
I am so happy that you have such a beautiful school in Carmel Convent. It is a school with the pride of neighbours envy and honours. You are really lucky.
We did not get such a school. And you have got this tool at such a young age. Exactly. He has got the Aladdin lamp at such a young age. And I am giving you this guarantee.
You just apply it for three months and see your performance rising like anything. Wow! Be it academic performance, be it your stage performance, be it your athletic performance, be it your performance at home, you are not able to cook anything, be it that. Anything which makes you frustrated and anything you want to create for yourself, you heal for yourself.
You can create wealth as well. Sir, but is there a particular timing for this? Okay, so I started enjoying it so much that I started doing it very often. That time which I often waste and later come to guilt, I started doing it at that moment too. Okay.
For the beginners, I would like you to do it at least once. Make it at least once. It can be that you are sitting to study, so why not do it before that?
And see that your performance in your studies, that which you were studying in 40 minutes, are you able to study it in 30 minutes or not? Try it once. The quality you will improve, and quantity you will improve, try it once. You want to make something, draw something and you are furious that you don't make good. You just tap.
I am furious that I can't make good. Despite this I want to heal myself. I want to relax myself.
And today is the opportunity that I want to create it beautiful. Do it as per classical EFT. Say it three times. Though I am not good and that makes me feel run away from the drawing.
I am not good at it. I have to do this, ma'am has told me to draw this, I have to do this And I am willing to take up this challenge and I want to heal myself You say it three times and after that tap here, tap through the entire sequence And say I am willing to let go this by running away from the habit I am putting I don't run away from it and now I am doing it And you see it 2-3 times, your drawing will come out so beautifully Even all the students of Maths I am not good in Maths. I know I don't get my questions right.
I know I get so many marks. But still I accept myself with all my heart and compassion And today I am accepting myself And I am releasing my stress related to Maths Because this is right now the pain I am a doctor as well as a teacher as well So Maths has wasted so much of my life And sometimes we laugh and see that Now I am a doctor. See, I am born in 1974 and now I am 50. The Sin theta, Cos theta, Tan theta, they never worked again.
But at that time it made my life hell. But today we will do EFT and release it again. Shivansi, do you have anything to ask? So we can cure our repulsion for anything. We can cure our reluctance.
Sir, you have a memory that has been healed by the patient but you have a memory of a patient who was in your mind Okay, so There must be a lot of patients. When you told me that you have healed 7000 to 8000 patients, then definitely that list will be very long. There are a lot. See, the time now, I think it is around 3.40-3.45, but when you had entered, a client called me and told me that she was having pain in her heart. And when she went to her doctor, the doctor thought that you have to get tested.
I know what emotional baggage she is carrying underneath. Now when you are carrying an emotional baggage for a long time, it will reflect in some form or the other in the body. It will either become a headache or a pain in the heart or it will become butterflies in the stomach.
Yes, absolutely. Now I simply told her that you say that I am feeling pain here and start tapping here. okay she did which I suggested so I asked her you say 3 or 4 times that I am feeling the pain here so she said 3 or 4 times so she tuned in that pain right then I told her that you do this that I can also relate it with the underlying emotional distress because it is aggravated whenever I am having distress so she said yes doctor you are very true so she repeated after me I am having pain here which is actually precipitated and aggravated by the emotional distress and she told to herself I said ki ab bolu ki despite this now I am understanding it and I want to heal myself yes so she repeated and I made her repeated four five six times and then I asked her ki abhi batao bache to she said ki at least 30% of the pain has gone Wow I said ki ha it's really remarkable and in the second step I asked her that in the second step, say that it is for sure that 30% has gone, but I want to get rid of the remaining 70% as well. Yes, why not?
And I am choosing to let it go. And I am promising myself that I would like to deal with the emotional distress which I am carrying within. I don't want to ignore it.
But first of all, I want to... let go of this physiological pain or physical pain in the heart area so that my mind will be free and I won't have to get tested. Absolutely. And we called him 3-4 times. And when we switched off the phone and were preparing for this, I was so happy that 90% of the pain had gone.
Wow, so great. Very good, sir. Very nice.
Sir, thank you so much for coming. to our studio or discussing about each and everything so minutely and we would like to tell our listeners and viewers that emotional freedom technique is such an easy technique we can all use it in our homes. We can say that it is for our mother, father, whoever it is, because by the end of the day, we are struggling with something.
So, I request all of you to understand this emotional feeding technique through this episode and following its pattern, please try for at least 15 days and then extend it to 1 month or 3 months. And the happiness you will see in yourself, that change, that relaxation and as sir said, our life energy increases because it gets leaked in those waste thoughts, in those waste actions which trouble us a lot. And as sir explained to us in such an easy way, we become our own counsellors and healers. And sometimes there are situations where we are unable to say something to anyone.
Somewhere it happens that this thing... If it rises, it will go far away. So, that's why, why don't we heal those things together. So, thank you so much for all our listeners and viewers for watching till the end.
See you in our next podcast. Till then, Jai Hind.
