we can't play he talked about oh not today say enough to say hey guys welcome back to my channel so in today's video we're gonna be talking about the cost would be in a sorority specifically Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated so I'm gonna talk about the cost of joining theta and the cost of remaining in Zeta so initially you're gonna pay your initiation fee this is your membership fee is a number and it encompasses a bunch of things and they're gonna break that down for you when you're in your moments of MIP they're gonna break down what that cost like entails but just know it's gonna be one lump sum that's the one I was gonna be a lump sum of money that you're gonna need to pay in your initiation that can range from $1,000 to two grand honestly it depends on a chapter and what's the requirements for the initiation and what things are including in that price and yes I did say it could be a grand it's a two grand to join Zeta Phi Beta is already incorporated so we don't do broke females and we don't do people who ain't got no jobs so I just let you know right now so once you're in a sorority you're gonna pay your dues these are these could be yearly which is very rare by semester which is most common or it could be quarterly which is and some people do quarterly do some people do semester I've never seen it annual do that's a lot I have but not in Zeta I have seen in Omega sci-fi so wait we ain't talking about them so your semester dues this is a dude that's gonna be charged to you in the beginning of the semester of each semester so you're falling you're spring and this encompasses the cost of your conference prior for that year the chapter dues with which the chapter needs state due so that your actual chapter is active statewide national do so that is active Nationals and I think regional your regional dues too so that it's active in the region it's a lot it's just a lot so all those costs go into your um semester dues because that money is shipped off to headquarters to pay in disseminate down to the other things that you need the purchase and pay for and that's not including your regular that bare bones like big Saudi money for big money free bids they like that like that's not even encompassing that so you should I mean I've seen chapter dues that were from 150 a semester but I've also seen you have to do that was like 350 a semester so again it's not cheap me personally my chapter dues were about 350 or something like that a semester and I also had one year where we had our chop to do is I was 180 so it can and it changes every year so you can change your chapter dues every year depending upon how many girls are not paying in and how many things you did the prior year that you're keeping track of and actually totaled up and created a budget for it so don't feel like the chapter do is like set in stone the only thing that set in stone is your national regional estate dues those things you can't touch and they're not really going to change unless they're changed on a headquarter level so once you're in you paycheck the dues your other expenses are gonna start coming in and that is for your clothing so for your parent the things you want to buy if you want to go to conferences your Blazers your suits your skirts your shoes your dresses your gowns that things are going to come in um it's just a lot of additional charges and additional things you're gonna have to pay in sue for Zeta that they don't tell you in the beginning but you over and very soon once you're in like it's something you have to keep up those are just some of the prices that I want to talk about obviously there's underlying prices like other things like as far as like gas to get to your meetings gas to get to your conferences if you're driving airline tickets if you're trying to go to boule boule is expensive oh my god if you're trying to go to Zeta on a hill in Washington DC I think is in DC yeah and DC that's a charge right there it's just a bunch of other prices and things I don't know one there so it's it was it dark yeah there we go try the lights brighter hopefully that helps but um there's a bunch of other charges that go into Zeta but at the end of a you have to think about whether or not it's worth the money if it's worth your energy your time you work in two three jobs to maintain and stay up the business because let you go on semester without paint your chapter dues you will be enacted let you go one semester without paying here state dues reason whatever you will be inactive and that's gonna be that and say they're gonna say well you knew the price you know you should have saved you should have had your coins ready and if not then we don't know what to do what you come back next year come back next semester in Holland that's when you got your money you could mean because data is a business although it's a sisterhood I didn't mean the airport day although it is it is the sister that it's also a business it is incorporated and I keep telling people that and I feel like sometimes they kind of get brainwashed or they they get sidetracked it by like all the glitz and glamour but it is a business so I've been in a day if you're not financially stable and able to upkeep in a pulled and maintain it ain't the best choice for you it really isn't because it can break the bank if you're not prepared for if you're not planning for it if you don't know how to manage your money and they're up there is gonna be older soror Joe you're gonna have profiles and you can ask them to sit down and help you budget and figure out your budget and rework your budget so that you are not in a position to where somebody has to look after you help you out somebody has to always worry about if you don't pay your part of the dues have to worry about if you're gonna make it to the conference and I'm not centennial the conference delay whatever because you may or may not have the money you know any like you don't want to be that sore in the trap that you really don't be that person I was that person my freshman year but ended up getting three jobs so I stopped being that person and there are some things you may have to sit out on if things come up if if you had to buy books that semester and you didn't have the extra $500 to pay for a freaking registration for whatever who knows um so just keep that in mind you may have to see some things out as long as you have a representative from your chapter going you don't have to be the person going but I did want to come on here and be honest about the prices and the cost to be a Zeta and the cost really to be in any sorority because no sorority is cheap now there are cheaper so already is but but if anything at all like incorporating to all businesses so at then today they're all gonna charge you an initiation fee dues conference calls registration costs and things like that so you really can't get out of that this pretty part of Greek life so I just want it to be honest and transparent about that if you have any further questions about pricing how you pay how you budget things like Taurus already calmed them
